Throughout jojos there is this narrative with jotaro about how being emotionally closed off and traumatized makes him emotionally unavailable and unable to care for his daughter and he much he regrets it before he inevitably can't do anything about it before they both die and it's so tragic and compelling but it is mostly coincidental and hangs on by a thread...

#like how can you not keep writing that.....#i have such mixed feelings with jojos writing.....#like jotaro not connecting with his father bc he is always away then making friends and a father digure thru joseph #to then get that completely ripped away bc kakyoin dies and he just had to face dio and save the world at 15 #and no matter how though he acts or is that shit takes a toll on you #but anyways he keeps on going and years later finds his grandpa had a son and tries to make it right before he dies...#but he is already leaving his daughter behind.... gets reminded of dio while fighting kira....#and when her daughter is in danger does all he can to protect her and tell her he cares but its already too late and she makes him know #before he dies (for the first time) and finally manages to let her know while she reciprocates before they both die (together)#anyways i will be forever mad that josuke jolyne and gio just live at the same time and nothing happens........#but whatever i am late to this and the writer wanted to change settings and we can live off fanfics blablabla #this is me just yapping.... but it had to be yapped #talking tag #watching jojos #and liek you could say but if you can pull all this put of the text then it is not coincidental and hangs on by more than one thread #and like yeah it could be subtext i guess but i need it textual and boldened it literally writes itself
