What’s your favorite type of themes in angst then? Sorry I know other ppl asked u a lot today but I just for some reason thought you’d be the type to be into angst because rapture was pretty sad, not explicitly so, but just kind of heartbreaking and morally ambiguous (in fiction context ofc)

It’s funny u mention that because truthfully, even when I exclusively read ship fics where I enjoyed angst, I have never once intentionally seeked it out. and I acc never expected to ever write angst myself but rapture happened and honestly it was like I blacked out and then BOOM fic done haAHhAHAHA I never actuallt intended on it being angsty funny enough (but i didnt rly plan that fic as a whole at all tbh so)

BUT— I guess what gets me is that type of trope, the we could never be together for whatever reason, or something that slowly disintegrates from happiness? if that makes sense? for me I love it when there’s a past (extra points if theres nostalgia) to compare it to, if that makes sense. rather than misunderstandings or miscommunication or cheating, it’s the slow disintegration of joy and drifting apart that get me. throw in a extra memory of When It Was Good, and that’s the type I feel like I enjoy the most!
