30+ years and I finally found an ob-gyn who didn't refuse to look inside of me by arguing that they didn't want the responsibility of taking my virginity with a speculum

#(technically a midwife gynecologist)#conclusion: everything's FINE and I can finally move on with my life #knowing that whatever's causing the pain isn't physiological #and that I have a recommendation from a trusted and reliable practitioner to a specialized midwife sexologist #which whom I could work on my vaginismus* provided I want to*#all great news!#but goddamn if it hasn't taken years of shaming from garden variety ob-gyn being dismissive of my issues #and telling me to just suck it up and endure the pain and it'll get better once I get my first penetration #anyway #life as a carrot #tmi
