Every time I think about how the Fortuneteller didn't see any love in Aang's future I need a second. Obviously, the message was that these things aren't set in stone and that he can actively shape his own destiny. But coupled with the (mis)fortune about the "great battle that will determine the fate of the world" it always made think they were hinting at the possibility that Aang... might not make it. That the reason there is no love to be seen in his future is because, well. His future ends very, very soon. And that idea always made me very upset on his behalf.
