9. worst part of canon i feel like im beating a dead horse a little with how much i talk about how i dont like mgs4 LMAO i watched that "mgs4 was a mistake" video and that guy really makes a lot of good points. but i think the worst part is that mgs4 really doesnt feel like any of the other metal gear games before it because it lacks a distinct set of villains. and i think that makes it boring. literally they couldve done anything else. anyone else as the villains. but they decided to reuse concepts from previous games instead of coming up with the cohesive group of villains that makes sense for the story. even mgr follows the same pattern as 1-3, and look how fucking awesome that was! we didnt know who a single one of those guys was before the game came out and yet theyre probably some of the most iconic villains in the entire series. and they make sense for the story and setting. the beauty and beast unit MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE. NOR DO I CARE ABOUT THEM BECAUSE THEY ARENT INTERESTING AT ALL. i know pw and v dont really follow that pattern either, and i like those games much more, so obviously thats not my ONLY problem with mgs4, but its definitely one of the bigger ones. at least pw and v were FUN. 10. worst part of fanon im gonna be honest my experience with the metal gear fandom has been incredibly pleasant and positive. theres not a lot that makes me mad in fan interpretations. probably the only thing ive seen thats fucking stupid is when people take kaz and make him kind of?? the moral high ground???? in bbkaz divorce. no he fucking wasnt LOL kaz didnt leave bb because he realized bb was a bad person or doing bad things (i think he knew that already and didnt care. hes also a bad person who does plenty of bad things). he left because he was no longer treated like an equal to bb and he didnt like it. thankfully the people i interact with all see it the same way. if someone talked to me and tried to argue something else i would explode. or any of the dudebro homophobic shit. if youre denying queer characters' existence when its explicitly stated in text. youre just a fucking idiot.

17. there should be more of this type of fic/art i havent done much of a deep-dive into mgs fic so i dont actually know whats common/uncommon but i do really like it when a fic takes a character who originally wasnt part of the situation and puts them into the situation. writing them into the story while still remaining relatively canon-compliant. some of my favorite examples of this come out of the yakuza fandom, where the character put into the story is there for their own development, or to expand upon a part of the lore that doesnt really get touched on by canon, rather than the character's overarching impact on the media's story as a whole (because in order to remain canon-compliant they dont DRASTICALLY change things, but what they do/affect can change the meaning of what ultimately happens, etc). ive seen a few things about kaz lives and joins philanthropy and i really would love to see a long fic about that and how he helps them. i also really enjoy in-between-games nonsense. i wanna see all the shenanigans everyone's up to. post-mgs3 filler with bb and ocelot, 70s kaz and ocelot building DD, between 2 and 4 philanthropy. i love me some good fun filler <3

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

My first twt acc was a personal one, only people i like know about it and follow me. My tweets were in tagalog and all about personal stuff, pics of me and my friends and dogs, and the only thing anime related were retweets of fan art and jokes.

A bunch of popular anime accs began to follow me. Idk how they found me as i had less than 20 followers and never tweet about anime except for retweets, and these accounts didnt retweet fan artists at all. I followed back because why not. And they just kept coming. You know the accs with 10k+ followers and skinny ratios and stolen tweets? Those people

Well i deactivated my account because some of people irl who i DONT LIKE found my acc and followed me so i ditched. Next account i made was an anime acc that none of my irls know about. I listed my interests and actively posted about it and supported content creators. I followed my ex mutuals just because theyre familiar. Not one of them followed back

So i got suspicious and deduced that they thirst followed me. Because they started rolling in after i tweeted pictures of me in my favorite outfits (for my friends viewing pleasure btw idk how they found it as i didnt tag it). And its not like they follow people with the same interests, they mustve been picky because they had 10k+ followers and were following around 200+. They never liked any of the fan art i retweeted either which sucks because those arts were awesome.

I guess the punchline is they throw the word simp around like confetti -_- some guy says hi to a woman on the tl and theyre like SIIMMPPP. They keep making fun of other men who "simp" for women and make jokes about women deserving less. I didnt see this before because i muted them LMAO but now that i was on animetwt i didnt..

So the same people who followed a stranger despite being extremely low key about their interests, gives no content about anime, tweets in a foreign language and in bad syntax so google translate cant do shit, and doesn't interact with them at all. Despite all that they followed me for occasional pics of me in a romper. A stunning romper, quite a steal too, i got it for a low price. But anyway. Its funny. I wonder why they deny it so bad?

Heres my guess. They saw me tweeting in a foreign language that google translate cant handle and thought, its safe to thirst follow because theres no way im getting exposed with this language barrier. My icon and header didnt have any real people in it so i could pass as a fan account in their following list. I retweet anime stuff so its a plausible reason to follow me(?) i guess. I mean i used to have 20~ followers then because of their gang i got 50~ followers. They literally outnumbered my most beloved irl friends. I still think its a risky move though. things that happened at the seattle fiatfv show, July 24 2019

writing all this down so i dont forget

-i went with the lovely @meloncandyy

-we didnt have vip passes but we were in just the right spot to hear the vip set really well

-I met two nice girls who were standing next to me and then i realized they were both younger than my little brother which was WILD and made me feel OLD ASF

-Geoff’s set was really pretty and he told cool stories about the old new jersey days with the beginnings of mcr and thursday

-He had a new song that he said he wrote about his drug dealer (but that he had recently gotten sober which was awesome)

-Franks set got wild and it was awesome bc im only truly at home when im getting thrown around in a mosh pit

-TRUST ME

-he gave a really cute speech about creativity before bff

-he had a converstaion with someone about why he wouldnt hand them a pick

-someone in the audience was dressed as boozey for the ENTIRE SHOW god what an ICON

-he said he loves the pnw

-he said people had weird reactions to fever dream live but that he was sure “Seattle gets it”

-The punk rock gods smiled upon me bc somehow i ended up second row dead center by the second half of the show and i was losing my mind (might have hearing loss tho)

-he put on someone’s pride flag at the end!

-i recognized @anothersuperstition with her portfolio and awkwardly said i loved her art (sorry if i seemed weird lmao)

-after the show, i waited outside to see if frank would come out. My friend and I saw a girl with a naked giants shirt so we went to go compliment her, and it turns out shes dating someone from car seat headrest? and she was really cool and we all talked for a while

-also met a girl with a les paul just like pnasy that frank had signed and we started talking, turns out she has met EVERYONE cool, Frank, Green Day, even Brian fucking May. She said she plans to meet obama next.

-Kaleigh (spelled right? probs not) came out and she had some really cool advice about being a successful musician especially as a woman in the punk/rock scene (work your ass off, never stop, dont talk shit)

-A bunch of people were all talking to Evan so we joined in and we discussed pizza sauce, donuts, future band names, etc.

-then these girls came out and evan was like “you gotta check out their band” and apparently they were 2/3 of Skating Polly? who ive heard are good and i know theyre playing riot fest? so that was really cool to meet them, and i asked them if they were playing local shows soon andt hey are playing summer camp so i really hope i can go to that

-then evan shamed someone for vaping which was hilarious

-and then he had to change so he hugged everyone goodbye and then we left

-frank never came out so i didnt get to meet him but it was still an amazing show and experience. shout out to my mom for bringing me and waiting after

I SAW MEAN GIRLS LAST NIGHT

it was amazing!!! the entire cast was on in their main roles so that was a treat cause i saw Hamilton yesterday afternoon and it was a majority of understudies. they did things differently than on the cast recording and the original bootleg lmao, here were my favorite parts:

• Barrett did a hilarious dance after Grey said “no one died” in Cautionary Tale

• Cady’s part about moving to Chicago and meeting an obese person was hilarious

• skateboards and rapping and Starbucks Venti Chi was hilarious

•the scene changes between all of Cady’s first day classes was so cool to watch, all the teachers just got out of their desks and put on hats or jackets to look like teachers

• Where Do You Belong was awesome! the lunch tray choreography was something i’ve never seen done ever and it was so cool and different!

• Kyle rides into the calculus scene on the back of his desk and it was so cute and funny

• Stupid With Love was just as amazing on stage as it was in my head!!!

• Erika literally pushes her desk up against Kyle’s and SNIFFED HIS HAIR!!!! IT WAS SO GOOD!!!

• all the students pretending to be animals in Apex Predator was so interesting

• Krystina singing What’s Wrong With Me was so sad!! like i never realized how sad Gretchen is in the show until she starts singing this song about wanting to be accepted

• Stupid With Love Reprise was so cute!!!

• Kyle was genuinely laughing at Erika’s goofy ness and it was SO CUTE

• Erika’s little “shit” after Aaron says he’s swearing off of dating was so high pitched it was hilarious

• Cady stumbling to answer Aaron after he asks “never get what?” was so funny, Erika was just like silent for a full minute

• Kyle totally blushed after Erika said “you are so smart”

• Barret pops out after this and and says not to sleep on it, she goes “and it worked, cause that shit always works” but she like screamed it and it was SO FUNNY

• THE OCTOBER 3RD PART WAS SO CUTE!!!! Kyle swings his desk around to face Erika and they just lean into each other while singing it and they were smiling like happily in love idiots

• Karen doing Sexy was probably the funniest part of the show

• THE CONDUCTOR THROWS HER THE MOUSE EARS

• Erika was talking to Kyle in their scene during the halloween party with the teeth in and Kyle just started hysterically laughing it was adorable

• Someone Gets Hurt made me both love Regina and hate her at the same time

• Kyle looked so tense kissing Taylor lmao

• Taylor backs up to Kyle and slides down him at the end of the song while facing Erika and it was such a dominating moment

• TAYLORS VOICE IS INCREDIBLE

• Grey flossed during Revenge Party and his did it so fast it was hilarious

• “i end up with Aaron when she’s gone!”

• “a revenge party! a party that ends with somebody crushed and alone! AND UGLY CRYING!”

• Kyle pulled all his hair down in front of his face and looked adorable

• “your hair looks sexy pushed back” Erika sounded so sad and Kyle stumbled to respond it was cute

• Cady telling Aaron about Regina cheating was so tense

• the autocorrect part was hilarious “Reginals is cheering on you”

• “what was lion suit supposed to be?” “it’s supposed to be lion suit”

• Erika tried to reach out to Kyle and he just pulled away and walked off stage

• Rocking Around The Pole is my new favorite christmas song

• Fearless was a bop, Krystina doing the Gretchen dance was iconic

• KATE RIPPED OFF THE SLEVES OF HER JACKET

• STOP WAS MY FAVORITE NUMBER IN THE SHOW

• Grey tap dancing is my new favorite thing

• World Burn was amazing

• Taylor came out in all black in front of a copy machine with a single spotlight on her

• I’D RATHER BE ME OH MY GOD

• the conductor was BOPPING

• Barrett’s voice sounded so healthy during it i was so happy

• the three guys dressed as girls were hilarious

• REGINA GETTING HIT BY THE BUS WAS SO FUNNY

• Regina’s mom in the What’s Wrong With Me Reprise was so funny

• Who’s House Is This was so funny, Karen was so confused lmao

• Kyle showed up in the iconic wool collar coat!!! (the matching one he has with Erika!!!)

• More Is Better was so good!!!

• Erika and Kyle talking in the scene leading to the song was so genuine and cute and they were actually laughing at each other

• Erika kisses Kyle during the song and you could see he didn’t want to have to pull away...it was a longer kiss than in the bootleg from back when they opened the show

• Erika’s desperation when Kyle starts to leave was so sad, you could tell their acting was so genuine and heartfelt

• at the end when Erika sings “stars” the entire LED screen just filled with stars and it was so cool

• Karen and Gretchen bursting into the room was so funny “somebody, not me, barfed in your oven”

• Damien and Janis ridding in on the scooter was hilarious! “Janis you know i can’t stop this Jazzy i have a curfew!”

• Someone Gets Hurt Reprise was so AMAZING!!! Barrett was so powerful and Greys “and i want my pink shirt!” was so funny

• Do This Thing was awesome!!!

• Aaron telling Cady he liked seeing her be awesome was so cute

• NO THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST!

• Kyle dancing with the mathletes is so adorable

• I See Stars was so good!!! Erika was so into it!!!

• Kyle comes out dressed in the lion suit!!

• Kyle picked Erika up and spun her around and she started giggling uncontrollably, it was so adorable

• the spring fling photo they all take at the end is so cute!!!

• the bows were adorable, everyone was dancing so dorky

overall, one of the best musicals i’ve ever seen!! and Erika and Kyle are literally dating, i’m so on to them lmao

Hi, I really like your blog! I re-watched atla in the last couple days after a long time and realized again how awesome it is Maybe you get that question often but which is your favorite scene? (Mine is in S3E17 when theater-toph shows how he 'sees')

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH i always get irrationally happy when i hear ppl say they enjoy my blog and also when i hear them say they rewatched atla i hope this show reached cult status one day and 20 yrs from now on when s/o says they never watched atla theyll get shocked looks in return shortly followed by the question HOW COULD YOU NOT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

anYWAY i think i answered a similar question before but this is giving me the perfect excuse to procrastinate studying and to talk in unnecessary length about atla which are 2 out of my 3 favourite things to do. also i know u only asked me for ONE scene but i drank like 8 cups of tea the past 3 hours and im feeling v enthusiastic right now so i’m gonna make a list of my top 5 fav scenes

#5 im 100% in agreement with ur choice of fav scene and actually the entire ember island players episode is PURE GOLD and lbr ask ANY atla fan and they can quote at least 2 lines out of there perfectly. honorable mention to “HOW could you POSSIBLY say that!” and THE SCAR IS NOT ON THE WRONG SIDE!

#4 the boiling rock azula vs mai and ty lee showdown holy shit that was life-changing sokka and co. in mortal peril all seems lost and appa isnt there this time to bust them out of those kind of situations and then MAI COMES TO THE RESCUE with one of the most elegant and memorable entrances ever “What are you doing?” “Saving the jerk who dumped me.” kick my ass mai!!!!. and then later we get ANOTHER incredible line delivered I GUESS YOU DONT KNOW PEOPLE AS WELL AS YOU THINK YOU DO. YOU MISCALCULATED. I LOVE ZUKO MORE THAN I FEAR YOU lmao girl dont we all and then we see azula LOOSING HER COOL tbh i dont think that happened before that scene and theyre getting ready to FIGHT EACH OTHER and i wouldve loved to see that and lbr azula prob wouldve kicked mai’s ass bc it’s azula but holy hecking heck man that wouldve been amazing but of course then we get TY LEE!!!! TURNING ON AZULA!!! CHOOSING MAI OVER AZULA!!!  holy shit man i was going !!!!!! when i first saw that scene wee 13-y/o me did not see this coming at all and then when i rewatched it a few weeks later it was SO OBVIOUS that they were going for this all along and what im saying is a) Mai is a Queen and i adore her and 2) everyone needs to get on board of the mai/ty lee submarine with me bc that shit is Real and There

#3 ok so im totally gonna cheat this one and just say EVERYTHING SOKKA EVER SAYS bc i couldnt possibly narrow it down i’d be doing a disservice to this character and this show if i did but some favourites include the random SCREAMING IN CAPSLOCK!!! he sometimes does like “i’m going to take my vacation…. AT THE LIBRAREEEEH!!!” and “i knew it was only a matter of time…. APPA ATE MOMO!!!” and “can your science explain why it rains?”“YES! YES IT CAN!” “MUSHY GIANT FRIEND!!!!” and ofc “WATER TRIBE” which actually was NOT a Patented Capslock Sokka Scream but def deserves to be mentioned

#2 “My first girlfriend turned into the moon.” - “That’s rough, buddy.” Iconic. Legendary. Immortal. Put It On My Damn Gravestone.

#1 the scene in The Desert where the gaang meets the sandbenders and toph says recognises one of them of being the one to kidnap appa and to muzzle him and aang goes you muzzled appa?! like. this fucking scene still gets my heart racing EVERYTIME and mumbling holy shit under my breath like u fucked up real bad sandman buddy and then aang is so angry and in pain he goes into the avatar state and everyone is running away in fear but katara stays by his side and reaches out for him and pulls him back and aang is crying and the screen fades to white this scene destroyed me unchallenged number one always and forever
