Idk like, I get that some people won’t reblog every gifset we make but it sucks to see everyone reblogging memes and twitter screenshots and then you put so much love and time to create something only for people to scroll past it, it’s so painful to me 🫠 there’s this person that often dms me about my gifsets without ever reblogging or even liking them 🤡 for many of us creating these sets is a form of showing our own art, our ideas and creativity, so it’s like screaming into a void, at least that’s how I feel. It sucks. It’s discouraging, I need people to connect with what I make, why can’t they??? :(

thank you!! i'm glad / sad that you can relate, and that so many gifmakers can relate. i wish non-gifmakers really understood just how much of the tumblr economy relies on gifmakers but alas :(

i really love gifmaking and can never envision not doing it, but it is certainly discouraging when you put in hour and hours of work to get practically no engagement.
