i AM just an insane person over this little fictional dude but “Miguel can’t acknowledge it was his fault Gabriella died and needs canon to mean something for that suffering to be justified” is just nottttttttt substantiated by the film.The first bit is just flat out wrong to me personally too, he takes complete ownership for what he believes to be the worst and most devastating fuck up of all time. He doesn’t even accept his own lack of knowledge about what would happen at the time as an excuse. And honestly? Unless I’m forgetting something, not once does he ever approach the idea of the canon framework being something that justifies suffering (only Peter B makes this argument). To Miguel it’s just observation of patterns of fate, and ones which destroy lives when tampered with.

the manga is very bwehfjkkhfkjad bc there are some absolutely stunning moments in it and like amazing character depth and what not but also the sequencing work keeps drastically alternating from being effective to being terrible SAME WITH THE WRITING like some parts are touched up on soooo well (like chp 49 konoha and seto interaction are incredible for both of their characters) but then something like chp 58 ayano's reconciliation with her siblings just feels so lacking to me in emotional weight LIKE I GUESS IT WORKS? and its fitting for seto to just let it happen bc seto is a very non-confrontational person and i guess theyre all mourning BUT I STILL??? feel like it got wrapped up too quickly ughhh and the sequencing being lackluckster DOES NOT HELP..... AND ALSO how we dont see a meaningful exchange solely between ayano and mary until after everyone dies like ufhdjskdhfkjhdsf i dont knowwwwwww.
