it gets me how its a popular in think to shit on the re3make because “it feels like a filler game!” “it came out too soon after 2! rushed!” “it reused assets!”

as if that wasn’t how the og3 was to begin with? like way back in the day when you found criticism it was exactly that and the fact they didn’t even give you too many new enviornments to look at. Just people largely ignored it because either they had a boner for jill or a boner for nemisis

so it really strikes me as funny that the very group who shut down those criticism to begin with are now the very same ones regurgitating it all because the remake is new

#like news flash it really was just a filler game to start with #and it came out in a very very short time after 2 and they admitted they rushed to slap something together #and ill say this i dont even think reused assets are bad and I wish more series fucking went back to that #just to cut down on dev crunch #but don't pretend that re3 was anything ever but any of that to begin with #and ill say something more contreversial too- being a filler game isn't even bad #if its fun for you its fun for you and thats all it ever needed to be #but to pretend the OG wasnt just to act as if it was a high-art masterpiece so you can shit on something new is a little ridic #and if you say the real problem was that capcom outsourced it im going to say you're just being an elitest about it too #because frankly it was mostly faithful and added on to what the OG set the ground work for mostly #you gotta realize even that capcom has to go through everything and actually approve of it first too so the sole blame aint even on that #but also if you pull 'remake bad because jill swears' im going to suplex you for being a silly weasel
