Hodge is actually such interesting character because on one hand you do feel really bad for him and how harsh and cruel his punishment was compared to the Lightwoods. Then on the other hand you possess the knowledge that the worse punishment was actually kinda deserved given he was, in fact, far more complicit in things than the Lightwoods 😭

like was the irony lost on him all those years as he festered in his rage over the unfairness of it all while simultaneously knowing Valentine was alive out there. the Lightwoods couldn't have betrayed the Clave even if they wanted to because they thought that man was bones!! Hodge meanwhile is wondering which Jonathan child experiment Jace is like they are not the same

and yeah obviously the Clave did not know that at the time (lucky for him tbh) but given how Hodge was THE PERSON in Valentine's confidence, moreso than even Luke and Stephen, there was probably stuff that they did know about. Valentine wouldn't have given Jace to Hodge out of the blue, it stands to reason he was directly involved in the experimentation itself given his skill & knowledge with tonics & whatnot and that there was probably more minor stuff he helped Valentine with that was known about. enough that it proved he was more directly involved with Valentine's plans than either of the Lightwoods ever were

I loooove the jp fandom's headcanon that geeta and larry are childhood friends who met during their time in the academy and, sometime in the future, geeta personally recruited larry to work for the paldean pokemon league, as she must be one of the first people who knew of his prowess in pokemon battling! Genuinely intrigued by the potential of Peri and Irep's dynamic but only in a platonic way so I end up not vibing with the fandom's portrayal of it 😔😔😔

Now they're enemies, with both actively fighting each other, and Irep going so far as to try and kill Peri's parents. What happened? When? What influenced it? Did they ever become friends, or did it nosedive the moment the cameras turned off? What about Sammy? How do Irep's parents factor into this? Could it ever be fixed? There's just so much we haven't seen, and romance just feels like too easy a solution to me. Let their friendship be easy to break, fragile. Let them have to work to keep the connection. Fairies and Anti-Fairies are literally made to be opposites, so what happens when two genuinely and truly become friends?)

Lately I'd been wondering if maybe my asthma was doing so much better since I stopped living in a place with fire season that I could talk to my doc about stopping my asthma meds, but uh. Accidentally tested that? My maintenance inhaler was empty for at least a day, possibly more, before I realized so I was using it but getting no meds and it turns out I was improved because my maintenance meds were working, so I started coughing again. Not super bad, but like if I had a nickel for every time I've accidentally ran a double-blind trial* on myself I'd have two nickels, and that's weird, right? *the other time was when I figured out I'm allergic to acetic acid, because I'd checked the ingredients of the individual serving of a pre-made meal from a store and it was fine, but I reacted to the family meal portion of it (after not checking it, assuming the ingredients would be the same), and the only thing different was the acetic acid.
