Sakuya/Umika actually serves an invaluable function in Lupat in that it sucks so much that it highlights how much better Umika/Tsukasa is by contrast. classic secret identity love story yuri vs guy who won't stop bothering a girl at her place of work while she actively tries to avoid him

#its honestly incredible how well they set up the secret identity tension with umika & tsukasa AND kairi and keiichirou #but completely dropped the ball on doing that with their straight endgame ship. patren nigou and lupin yellow almost never interact #so the awful vibes of their relationship as civillians is the one and only thing tying them together #umika never has a moment of like. “oh no i'm hiding things from him” but she does that MULTIPLE times w tsukasa. please
