We discussed various things, including Irish and French politics (everyone except me was either Irish or French), and at some point we started talking about the IRA and how it still impacts politics in Ireland. this is not a ntam, more of a vent.. i don’t really have anyone to talk to :( sorry, it got very long, i hope that’s okay. some backstory: i’m on vacation in senegal, where my dad is from, visiting my (half)sister, living with her and her husband, it’s a big house, divided in flats basically, his mom lives here and family stays here when they’re i town.. also i don’t really identify as a woman/girl

since four days his nephew’s staying here for work. he’s abt 10 years older than me. most ppl here a very religious but he drinks and stuff, so we went out to have some beer, also he speaks english and i don’t speak french or wolof (native language here)

he was like “you can tell me anything, i’m cool” regarding drinking & smoking. he asked if i smoke weed, i said yes. we go out i have a beer, don’t even finish it. he asks a friend if he can get some weed (i didn’t ask him to). while we’re at the pub he asks me shit like if i have a bf i say no, he’s like “i can’t believe that” i’m like “i don’t want one, most guys are annoying af, can’t just chill always have to try some shit”(also i’m not interested in any guy atm).

we chill and he keeps asking weird question. if i dated a black/senegalese guy before, kissed or slept w/ one i say no, he asks if i want to, me: i don’t care where someones from or what his skin colour is but i don’t want to w/ you. (he has the ashiest elbows i’ve ever seen) he wants to kiss me i say no, and he’s like: “i just think it’s sad you’ve never kissed your people before, like your senegalese side” ?!?!???(i think to myself, like my disgusting dad didn’t kiss me against my will enough) and tells me he likes me. i keep saying i don’t want to and have to point to my cold sore (i was starting to get ill) to get him to stop. he asks if i’m a virgin, (no) since when i’m not if it was with my first and only boyfriend (no) and what i like in bed and what i know abt sex, where i know it from. (i don’t want to tell him “oh, y’kno my brother sexually abused me when we were kids and made me addicted to porn and then i let older guys use me when i was 15 and wasted” and lots of other reasons, also bc it’s none of his fucking business especially since we talked abt how people here care to much abt what you’re doing not abt what they’re doing..) i don’t really say anything he asks if it’s from movies and vids, i say “yes” so he’ll leave me alone. he says “oh, you’re a bad girl” and smiles.. fucking dickhead.

at some point he asks if i could see me with a hijab (?!???) i just say “i’m not muslim, or religious in any way.” i kinda jokingly ask him if he could see himself in one. he doesn’t get it and says that it’s not for men.. also he asked me if he could see me without glasses like it’s something special..

he tries to tell me all this shit i already know like black people in the u.s. are at the bottom bc the system oppresses them (which i’m using pretty easy language for right now but his was even easier probably bc he thought “that woman couldn’t know anything, abt anything”), media paints a picture to support a narrative blablabla like i know all of this and also i’m high and just wanna chill.

then he starts this conversation abt how there is no explanation on how humans and exist and what was before. i’m like “dude have you never heard of dinosaurs?” and he actually asks me “is there any proof that they existed?”….. me: “fossils!?!????” and he asks if i’ve seen them… i think, is this idiot fucking serious??? but since i’ve actually been to the natural history museum where i live and they have, among other things, a huge tyrannosaurus skeleton, i can say “yes, and also what would anyone get out of making that up?”. and he’s basically just like “oh”. he is now talking abt how we don’t know what we’re made of.. i’m like “atoms, everything’s made of atoms” then he asks what they’re made of (which i actually kinda know but not their name and also 1. i’m not a scientist and 2. google is still free) and also i know we don’t know everything but like don’t try to tell me we don’t know shit that we actually know. and then he tells me this story about how he knows what happens bc “HE” (god) told him. and it’s like there was only one star that was feeling lonely and then he made himself into another star, trying to tell me it’s a scientific and spiritual fact whatever the fuck that means (i’ll give him that new stars form when old ones collapse but it’s really not that easy). and with everything i was just like “yeah you can believe whatever you believe, but i’ll believe what i believe and don’t try to push your beliefs on me” and thinking “dude when the fuck did i ever ask for you opinion on anything??”

i had all these other points to make (why would you think god’s a man, why do you think you’re right when you’ve been raised to be religious and i formed my opinions for myself? also i don’t say im right) but i let him believe what he believes and also don’t give enough of a shit abt him to care

anyway the next morning he comes to my sisters flat and calls me “miss atom” i call him “mister religious” he corrects me with “spiritual”.. whatever.. later my sister says we should do a siesta and he says only if I invite him, i say i don’t care, do what you want. i purposefully stay on the couch while he and my sister are on a mattress and he “jokingly” says that my sister should go over and i should come to him. me:”she can come over here but i won’t come over there”

then somehow we/he get into a convo abt marriage, i say idc abt that, if i love someone i don’t need to prove that by marrying. he tries to talk me into it, if it‘s his culture or religion, and his parents i say i don’t care, what do they have to do with our relationship (also thinking that if i’d ever marry it would be a woman, only if she wanted tho) and it just gives me the whole „asking for a friend“ vibe.

this day i actually get ill so i just stay in my room, mostly to avoid him. i’ve been ill since then and he asks me 10times a day if i feel better yet, like it would change in the 30min you left my alone. one time he even called me “baby-*my*name*” which might have been nice if he wouldn’t have done all that out her shit.. but still condescending.

this morning he came up and i was changing in my room, my door wasn’t closed all the way but when i heard he was up i closed it properly and while i was completely naked he comes in without knocking, it really wasn’t on purpose but still made me fucking pissed. so today when he asks me if i can give him some water (i was pouring something to drink for myself, but it also pisses me of that the men here always ask women to get them shit) i just wanted to throw the glas into his face and tell him to get his own shit.

basically he is just really annoying and invasive, but i can’t really say anything bc i’m a guest and don’t want to be rude, i might anyway at some point and if he has a problem with it i’ll just snitch to his family 🤷🏽‍♀️

also this fucking stupid pissward works for the government.. the world is doomed people!

 Did 2018 started good or bad for you? Rather good. I planned my time well and had enough sleep even when really busy. I passed this semester smoothly, even the test i thought i did horrible at.

 What’s a book you read recently? Did you like it? start of 1st chapter of W. Szczepaniak - Instrumental methods in chemical analysis. i did read it voluntarily, but no, it was the opposite of enjoying it.

What’s the most difficult language to speak/learn, from your point of view? i heard finnish is hardest to learn. i believe polish is also one of the hardest to learn. one time on 9gag i got in a discussion with one finnish guy and they always copy and paste that one list of how much words they got for ‘dog’ so i also did that with our words for dog xD i asked and it turns out their dog words are made bc they meant things like my dog, your dog etc, while the words i wrote were variations of doggo etc. so yeah got a little off-topic, but every language has something hard about it. different alphabet, absurd pronunciation (looking at you English), exceptions of exceptions of exceptions (French and Polish) or hard to grasp grammar. while reading and writing in English is fairly easy, speaking is hard bc i’m never 100% sure how to pronounce certain words, and i need to focus a lot to understand what i’m hearing bc this whole language sounds like lisping to me tbh

 What’s the worst grade you had in school? in primary school we got 1-6 system (1=F, 6=A) and i never got anything below 4. in middle and high school we had points instead of notes. not counting occasional zeros for no homework, the worst was 3/10. it was a test from Hobbit which was the only school lecture i’ve never read bc it was unavaible at the time in both libraries - school and town ones.

How do you like to spend your free time? usually i sit with my laptop and browse meme websites like this one and kwejk. i like to do a lot of things, but do them rarely bc memes> everything else since i haven’t found any passion in my life. these occasional things include watching series/cartoons/animes, playing games, drawing, sewing, crafting, cooking new things. i like creating stuff, tho i’m the least creative person i know so unless i got detailed instruction i don’t.

 What do people usually praise you for? on internet sometimes people tell me i’m cool, and in school others told me i’m smart since i got good notes from everything.

Is it easy for you to make friends? no. i never initiate contact unless i need something, so the only stuff i talk with people about are current tasks. i don’t even know how much time passed since i last even opened my mouth to say something to any of my classmates. i had 2 closer friends in middle school, but we knew each other earlier since our moms were friends. in internet it’s easier bc i got no brakes and no anxieties, but also rarely initiate anything and it’s hard for me usually to keep the chat alive since i usually have like 5 informations to share and then i run out of things to talk about. i guess it’s fine as long as we click xD (thanks wolfy for having so much to say usually omg i owe you my life)

i’m feeling kind of terrible today so i’m going to write it all here and if you can like this post that’d be really nice, like a hug,, you can ignore me too i’m just to  vent over here

so it’s one of those days when everything feels wrong. like every single little thing is wrong. it has something to with the fact that yesrterday a lot of things happened. i was hanging out with my two friendss and we were watching a scary movie and my best friend was so cuddly and started holding my hand and i thought “oh well i’m fucked now” i used to thinkshe was the straightest girl alive but now?? now she’s in a relationship with another girl and i’m feeling a million butterflies i shouldn’t be feeling. to top it all off yesterday she actually mentioned that her girlfriend is leaving the country next year,, and guess who might go after her girlfriend to another fucking continent??? that’s right, one of my only two friends here.also  did i forgot to mention that my other friend actually plasn to leave the country too?? because apparently he’s a fucking millionaire and can pay for everything and leave at any moment now. then there’s me.

oh btw my cousin, my favourite cousin, basically my sister, the closet thing i’ve ever had to an older sister who means absolutely everything to me is leaving too!before the year ends! so i might not get to spend christmas with my sister one of the most important people in my life! wait, let me fix that, i’m sure i won’t, it’s settled, she’s leaving before december,, and guess what? she hasn’t told me yet. maybe she doesn’t dare but i already know and it’s killing me because seriously i can’t explain what she means to me. all of this made me think about the possibility of coming out to her before she leaves and that messed up with my head so ridiculously much??? i feel so so so fucked up thinking about that. i know she has gay friends but i also know she has made homophobic comments, but i also know she loves me but i also know that coming out will probably means i’ll explode

now there’s the fact that my entire life is a mess and i have absolutely no idea of what i’m doing? i mean i’m studying history at uni but i don’t like it. i could change to modern languages but that’d mean i t’ll take me like 15 more years to graduate. i could do both to be like awesome or something and make my family proud but that’d take me like 20 years to graduate (at least 6 or 7 i guess) but that seems like too fucking long and the thing i want the most is to leaving is ugly country but my parents don’t want me to leave without a uni degree. a proffesor was talking to me the other day and spoke highly of me  and said i should really take both carreers and even try to be one of those students that are like a mini proffessor or assistent or something (idk how to translate that) but ?? wtf? me?? i don’t know nothing!! how could i do that if i passed that class by pure luck?! if i look like 12 and there are 30 years old in every class???? but but i guess i should try be productie and smart and think about the future or whatever ppl say i should do. but that means talking to ppl and papers and adult things and i hate all of it and just the thought of it makes me want to cry but my parents are really excited about the idea and i don’t know how to explain to them that what i actually want to do is is die??

so we end up like today when i think i should study more but why if i’m never going to be the best and i’m doing just fine? why should i go back to playing piano if i’m never going to be more than average and barely? why should i try to play guitar if i’ll never be good? why should i go back to studying french if the course is too long and i’m never going to finish it so i’ll never learn? why should i keep writing the ugly story i’m writing it’s not like i could do anything with it??? there’s nothing i can do about anything and i’m so frutrated because as i’m writing this it feels over dramatic and like i could easily fix it but then as soon as i get up i remember that i i need money and motivation and friends and i don’t have/am losing all of those things and i don’t know how to put this into words but i’m really sad and i feel ridiculously lonely 

so basically i’m very sad, very very lonely, , my best friends might be leaving the country as well as my cousin who’s like my sister, also i might be getting a crush on my best friend whish is bad idea, i want to leave the country but i don’t have the money, i hate uni and finally  all of this feels weird so apparently when i’m sad i forget how to english so in case you read this i’m sorry.

My bff is being down too n she is in no help of me. When im down i need to go out, meet friends, be active, she is quite the opposite. I feel hurt by her lately, she always gives me hopes, empty promises for which i catch myself as a drowning men n then im left disappointed. Of course you’d be hurt, that’s understandable. I have to say though that my own bff, as much as I love her, has sometimes done the same in the past—that is, letting big plans fall through and/or doing them with someone else. So in the end, I had to find ways to pursue the things I wanted by myself when it turns out that she’s not that interested in them.

I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy to start doing things by yourself, for yourself, but you might want to try doing a couple of those things on your own… it’s probably too awkward to go out by yourself for socialization, but maybe do those runs and studying on your own, or find someone else interested in those things as well? (Again, it won’t be easy, but that’s what you can do for yourself.) Then, whenever you want to do the same things, you can still spend time together.

No comment on the romance issue, LOL. I’ve already resigned myself–I’m no good with the game, and I can’t find someone else who won’t play games, and mutual like/love is so hard to find. But for you, I’m sure you’ll find the person at the other end of your red string!

Post exam week

So this week has been a very good one. Busy but I was able to relax and reenergise and refind myself. God exams drain your soul. I am now motivated and preepared for second semester but not for atudying dammit. So friday right after the exam I met up with the twins me and my best friend met during college and talked for hours. I missed them so much and my twin has become so pretty. She literally is a model with her blue green eyes rose gold eueshadow and blonde hair. And her style literally was on point. Then on saturday I had to work and later mum took me shopping. I realised how much weight I have gained and since I am slowly putring the things I have to do in action. Anyways I bought a wine velvet dress bodycon with bardot frill, 2 jeans tp fit my larger waist:/// a skirt embroidered so prtty, a cropped sweater, a coat grey and white, and pointy cream court shoes. God bless mum love her. I would have liked to buy feom river island they have some amazing pieces. including a black midi leather skirt and an 80 euro kimono, pumps orange, and a coral lace dress. Damnn Also I went crazy at inglot with all tjose eyeshadows and the freedom syatem is amazing. You can make your own shadow or lipstick palette. I bought my sister's present from there. And a long lasting chocolate lipstick. Spending that cash. Then we went to Pavi shopped for the cake which I planned to make. I was tired by then. Ryan came later and we saw whisky tango foxtrot with my parents. And I loved it. Which is a rarity for me to live a film. Sunday I did my first workout. complete with weights and cardio. I had so much fun and got rhat perfect high. Then I washed the dogs. And later me and my bfr were supposed to go to tigne to shop but idiotically we realised they would be closed. So instead wd just went to french affaire. THE CUTEST cafe. With the most delicious and aesthetically pleasing pastries. God bless the calories. Then Monday I had a car lesson, and I started doing the apple sauce for the cake. But I had to go to work to earn some cash. And the whole process pressed me for quite some time. I ended up baking the cake at 1 in the morning. Tuesday I got the most amazing hair. Rose gold however after the first wash I think it faded and probably I will xomplain tomorrow. I am quite feusttated about the situation and disappointed. Then I went for a food intolerance test. And I found that I am allergic to spinach, almonds, soya, mussels and strawberries!!!?!??! First syep accomplished but I really cannot imagine these things affecting me that much. Still it was one of the first steps in attempting to manage my ibs. She also told me that I have very strong energy and I searched about it today and I found out a bit about chakras and auras and im interested. I eill defenitely reseatch about it and try to improve my spirituality. Later I went for Ryan's dad's birthday as he had finally finished his exams !!!!! On wednesday I had my lovely date day. We went to Chadwick lakes and Xdmxija after finishing rhe cake finally. It was a lovely day,we walked,we saw Malta's oldest carob tree, saw baby aleppos and saw a part of Malta we rarely see. Also I love him. His curiosity about nature and his wonder. And how passionate about things he can be. And I love debating with him and also how well he knows me and my body. Hahha 😍 having a fondle with a wonderful view. Then a narcos marathon ensued. Thursday was a return to lectures. Quite sad as I confirmed my first semsster idea that some lectures were actually useless. And later judo where I had an esther fight :/ Friday we went early to verdala palace at buskett for the world cancer day seminar to get my certificate. It was a very mediocre seminar conference however I got to bond more with Fatimah a Muslim girl from Saudi l. Which i love talking to. We hlgive Muslims these prejudices that theyre reserved and stubborn close minded ppl. That is so untrue. At least Fatimah shows otherwise. Also I was inspired by aromatherapy and the importance of holistic approach to healthcare. In the evening we had the aftermath party which was a bit disappointing as the place was nearly emptg but I had fun. Esther was shy and didnt dance that much anx I became conscious of the fat showinv through my dress. And evenfually i fell out with Ryan but it was settled anx I love him for if.
