Rhaegar: We can't come.
Viserys: Why not?
Rhaegar: . . .I'll be washing my hair.
Jon: Holding the towel.
Aemond: Running the water.
Aegon: And I'll be in my chambers trying to get over the fact that nobody invited me to the big hair washing party.

December25th ; Christmas Dinner ; Stark Manor
Jaimepulled up in front of the house and, a sigh escaping you, while memories of your childhood flooded back. They weren’t exactly bad memories. That’s not why you were upset, but your Christmas dinners were always so crowded. Not onlydid you have six siblings, but Robb and Jon now had wife and childrenas well. And while you loved all of them, you really couldn’t stand being with all of them at the same time, because, despite of your age, you always ended up screaming at each other. No matter how much you loved them and they loved you.
“Iknow you don’t like these parties, but always remember the brightside..”
“Whichis?” you turned to face your husband.
“Nextweek we’ll be with my family,” he grinned devilishly.
Yousnorted and then started laughing.
Youweren’t sure which day would be worse.
Bothof you got out of the car, grabbed the bags filled with gifts and walked up tothe front door. You didn’t even have to knock, your mother hadalready been waiting for you, beaming with happiness.
“Oh,there she is! My beautiful, beautiful daughter,” Catelyn first got the bags you were carrying, then she hugged you like her life depended on it. “I’ve missed you so much, my love.”
You buried your face in her long her, going down memory lane once more. Cuddling with your mother, used to be your favorite thing to do. Shame you had to grow up, really.
“I’vemissed you too, mom.”
Youtook a step back for her to greet Jaime, but she only gave him a halfassed smile, before walking back inside.
“Mom!You promised you’d be nice!”
“It’sfine,” Jaime shook his head with a smile and quickly pressed a kiss on your temple, before following your mother.
You’dthink that your mother would finally accept your husband, after threeyears of marriage, but apparently, that was not the case. On theother hand, his family wasn’t too fond of you either. At least Cerseiwasn’t. Tywin was okay with having you around at this point and youand Tyrion got along really well.
Youwere like Romeo and Juliet, except for the dying part. Unless Cersei finally decides to murder you in your sleep, then you really were Romeo and Juliet.
Thetwo of you got all of the gifts out of the car and put them in thehallway, then you walked into the living room, where all of theStarks were already waiting. It seemed like you were the last to show.
Yourniece, the daughter of Jon and Ygritte, ran towards you and jumpedinto your arms.
Yougrinned and twirled her around once.
“Hello, darling! Oh, I’ve missed you soooo much! And look at you, you’re almost as tall as me, now!”
Jaimestarted shaking hands with the rest of the clan, while you were way too busy with your niecesand nephews. There was a reason, as to why you were the favorite aunt, after all. You had to keep up the good work or they might replaceyou with Sansa or Arya.
Ygrittewas the first to walk over to you and hug you tightly.
“Youlook incredible.”
“Well,so do you,” you pointed towards her well-rounded belly. “NoChristmas baby, then?”
Herhands instinctively went to her belly and she softly rubbed over it,chuckling.
“Thisone seems to take his time.”
“Well..his father isn’t the quickest, either, so your youngest seems to betaking after him,” with that, Jon finally walked over and punchedyour arm. “Ouch!” you punched him back.
Itended up in you, punching each others arms, like some five year olds.
Yep.Definitely felt like Christmas already.
“Stopit, you two! Behave like adults, for once!” your father approached,Jaime right behind him, trying to hide his smirk in his glass of Scotch.
“Hestarted the punching!”
“Because youinsulted me!”
Youstuck out your tongue and gave your father a kiss on the cheek.
“I know I’m your favorite out of them all,” of course, your father didn’t have favorites, not with that many children, but you liked to pretend that you were the one and only. Then you took Jaime’s andwalked over into the dining room, your father muttering something like‘Unbelievable’ under his breath.
Goodthing that your parents owned a manor, or not everyone would be able to fit at the table. It was cozy, but it worked.
Beforeyou managed to take a bit of that delicious meal on your plate, your father and mother got up, wanting to make atoast. Like every year.
“Youknow how much it means to your mother and me to have you all here onChristmas. My sons, daughters and of course, my wonderfulgrandchildren,” one of your nieces started giggling and leaned intoRobb. The rest, including you, started laughing. These kids really were a treasure. Then it was your mother’s turn to saysomething. That was usually the time she started praising all of herchildren for something special they had done this year..
“ToRobb and Talisa, who..-”
Andso on and so on.
Honestly, you didn’t listen much. There was food in front of you and you werestarving. How could somebody concentrate, when such mouth-watering smells filled their nose.
“Andof course, to my lovely daughter (Y/N), who still hasn’t given me anygrandchildren.”
“Well, mom, better late than never, right?” you glanced at Jaime, but he didn’treact.
Atall.
December31st ; New Years Eve ; Lannister Mansion
TheButler of the Lannister’s guided you to the living room, whereJaime’s father and siblings were already waiting for the two of you.
Somehow, you two always managed to be the last to arrive.
Fashionably late, apparently.
Tyrionwas the first to spot you and raised his glass with a smile.
“Finally, some good company.”
“It’sgood to see you too, brother,” Jaime smiled, but Tyrion only made ahand gesture and walked around him, so he could greet you properly.
“Iwas talking to your wife,” you giggled a bit and kissed Tyrion’scheek.
“Apleasure, as always,” you answered and greeted the rest of thefamily.
Ahug for Tywin and a forced handshake for Cersei.
It’s not like you wanted the encounters with her to be awkward, but she didn’t make it easy for you. It’s like she wanted you to hate her, maybe, so she could justify her reason as to why she hated you. Apart from the fact that you ‘stole’ her brother away from her.
Sincethey only had been waiting on you, the dinner began soon after and, as always, they really hadn’t spared any expenses.
The things and the amount they served was beyond anything you had ever experienced before. And while the Lannister dinners were usually very awkward, the food made up for it.
Tyrionwanted to pour you some wine, but you quickly placed your hand overyour glass and smiled.
“No,thank you! Not today.”
Allof the Lannisters raised their eyebrows. Tywin had this glint ofhappiness in his eyes, Tyrion eyed you suspiciously and Cersei..well.. Cersei always looked like she was trying to kill you, sonothing new on that front.
Jaimedidn’t even look up from his plate, only continued eating.
“(Y/N)’sdriving. Not pregnant.”
Youcleared your throat, because somehow, even though you had been dropping hints for quite some time now, hestill didn’t understand that, yes, you were indeed, pregnant.
Therest of the dinner went pretty smoothly. You all talked abouttrivial things, about work, about the new year, politics. Everything and anything, basically.
Andonce it was 11:50p.m., you all made your way out onto the balcony, that overlooked the entire city, drinks in your hands – except foryou, you only had a glass of orange juice - and enjoying the nice, cold breeze outside.
Itmight have been December, but there was no snow. It was cold, sure, but you could stand outside without an anorak and not freeze todeath, so that was something.
Jaimestood to the side, with his sister and father, while you sat on one of the chairs on the balcony and smiled at Tyrion, when he approached you.
“I’mkind of disappointed in you, Tyrion.”
“Oh?”he sat down on the chair in front of you.
“Ithought I’d finally get to meet her tonight.”
“Who?”he buried his face inside his glass.
“Don’tplay dumb with me. Your girlfriend! Why isn’t she here?”
“Ah..Yes. See, I’ll tell you about my girlfriend, after you tell me why mybrother still doesn’t know you’re expecting your first child?”
“Somehow, everyone seems to get it, except for him. I wanted to surprise him,not just flat out say 'I’m pregnant''”
“Well,my dear sister-in-law, I think that is exactly what you need to do.”
Youglanced at your clock and realized, that there were only three moreminutes till the new year, so when Jaime walked towards you, you gotup and he led you towards the railing of the balcony.
Hisarms went around your front and you leaned into his chest. You couldfeel his lips on the back of your head and placed your hands over hisarms.
“Doyou realize that we’ll be married four years, next June?” you couldfeel his smile when he kissed your cheek. “Four years..” yourepeated, almost whispered it, this time.
“What’son your mind?”
“Children.”
“Don’tlet them pressure you into anything, alright?”
Youpressed your eyes shut together and murmured something, beforesaying:
“I think it’s a little too late for that..”
He stopped kissing you, only to turn you around and stare at you.
A small smile was on your face, mainly because you weren’t sure if he was going to be happy about it.
“You are-.. I mean.. are you?”
Theothers joined you and before you could reply, fireworks started going off everywhere, illuminating the balcony in the most beautiful colors possible.
You grabbed the lapels of his jacket and pulled him down and just before your lips met his, you said:
“Happynew year, daddy.”
