sometimes I have very strong feelings about how Laszlo Cravensworth went to Eton College and promptly flunked out of their rifle corp. how loudly and enthusiastically he talks about fucking men now, when as a mortal he probably had to limit who he told. how he was born to tons of money but gets big stupid crushes on corny working-class guys, and dumped his entire home country because they insulted his wife. how he can barely remember faces, but when he ran away to some little nowhere town he promptly made friends with everyone at the bar and their local sports team.

how he has countless bastard kids he never sees, but when his friend needed help he instantly adopted him. how he has zero interest in power/money/stuff because he's clearly been there done that and all it did was trap him when he had it. how he's perfectly content curled up in an old blanket, in a house that's falling apart, as long as he's doing something that interests him. how he's ostensibly the most self-centered, but also the most selfless and loyal, of the blood-drinking vampires we meet.

if immortality gave Nandor perspective and Nadja power, it gave Laszlo freedom. and he is baby and I love him.
