Loosing it a little bit at Sebastian teaching Ciel about like Greek and Roman plays bc he’s seen them all a hundred times without even thinking to get rid of all the gay bits, or pulling faces at the bigoted inaccurate translations. Or teaching Ciel Shakespeare whilst explaining all the jokes that two and a half centuries of linguistic drift/you-had-to -be-there moments had wiped out. Sebastian knowing some of the guys referenced in Dante’s Divine Comedy. Sebastian busting out some incredibly spicy takes for a period that had scrubbed so much of the literary canon and theatre bare of what they perceived to be unacceptable, completely by accident.
