Can someone genuinely explain where the idea that Crawling only crawls so he doesn't scare MC came from? MC is scared of him when he crawls, he does so since the very beginning of the game, pre knowing mc properly. When asked, he says he's not good at using his legs and that he's better at using his upper body.

There's no reason for him to lie about this. None, and crawling does not give him an advantage against anyone. He only stands up once, and it's when he's trying to intimidate Stitch into letting MC go. This is a last resort situation, not a daily thing.

His legs are bad in SOME way, he has SOME form of disability. CAN he use them? Yes! But he chooses to crawl because its at least more comfortable in some way right? , he tells that to us. Is it a misinterpretation thing? Because MC says 'he stood up, he's trying to intimidate', so ergo when he crawls he's trying to make himself smaller? He doesn't stand up when Scarlet is here. When he stands up for Stitch he does not do it for long. It's to catch up to Stitch who has a speed and height advantage, and so far crawling has not resulted in a win. Crawling is his neutral state. He stands up as a last clutch to catch up to stitch, nothing else, so far as we know.

Other note: i think this is more a misconception due to different game translations, The hand is not chopped's hand, he specifies meeting it in his ending, and touching or interacting with it does not stimulate or interact with chopped. It's his buddy, not a part of his old body. There IS an official game translation (in japanese) in the game files, be assured this isn't a misconception on my part, the hand is a seperate entity. That's why it's not always with him too.
