Finally have a desk and a bed frame in the new apartment, feeling much more like a person now. Also am hitting a bunch of adult milestones today.

Woke up, took a shower, headed off to work and got stuck in traffic

Got to work and spent 9 hours fully indoors in the office. Have literally never done that before.

Got home.

Got called by my mom who I had a nice conversation with about my emotionally abusive dad.

Got interrupted by a call from my dad, who then proceeded to be very racist over the phone and warned me to never go to the cheap gas station 2 minutes from my apartment because... crime?

Then got off the phone and started looking up trucks on Google.

And now I've been awake for 13-ish hours and the only part of my day that was truly mine has been looking up compact pickup trucks.

#gene talks #sad to remember sometimes that my dad is actually not a particularly great guy #but instead a guy that i have a very complicated relationship with as he is maybe the worst version of myself #Also I'm really poorly selling my job by being like bluhbluh 9 hours in an office #but also its remote hybrid so Im only in office hell for 2 days out of the week and I choose to be in there for 9 hours #ykno bcus im a measly little intern that doesnt wanna make waves but thats ok #hopefully I can get a full time position after this semester and have a sexier schedule
