i’m sure i’m preaching to the choir here but i wish modern video game development spent less time/money on ultra-realistic graphics and more time on writing and level design

#although this is coming from someone who can’t stop watching videos about ray tracing 😐#but also it’s like okay realistic lighting is gorgeous to see in a pre-rendered video #less important in real time when i’m running around in a game trying to figure out where tf i’m supposed to be going lol 😑#just bc a new technology is very cool and impressive doesn't mean it needs to be used everywhere!
