ৎ୭ synopsis - house husband Nanami, whose favorite hobby is baking, wants you, his pretty little wife, to taste his new custard cream pie filling.
ৎ୭ wrd count - 721
ৎ୭ house husband series
House husband! nanami who loves his pretty little wife just as much as he loves baking, isn't particularly open about his love for baking like he is for his wife; he enjoys it enough to consider it a hobby.
House husband! Nanami, who's recently been studying a new pie recipe for you to try, and he's almost perfected it, except for the cream filling. For the past week and a half, he's been struggling to find the perfect filling, and as of lately, it's really been annoying him.
House husband! Nanami ears perked up the second he hears the locks on the front door unlocking and soon enough he’s wiping his flour covered hands on his ‘kiss the cook’ apron before heading towards the front door to greet you his lovely wife.
House husband! Nanami who greets you with a look of content as he steps forward to grab your purse with one hand and paper bag filled with groceries in his other hand before setting them down on the console table near the front door.
House husband! Nanami who then helps you take of your coat before tilting his head down slightly and pecking a kiss onto your lips, “how was your day?” he’s asking as he hangs your coat up on the coat rack while you hum thinking about how to answer his question and slipping off your sling back stiletto kitten heels and stepping into your house shoes.
“It was good Ken, Oh! and I just remembered—it's Higuruma's birthday! Make sure to give him a call so he knows you haven't forgotten.” you say as nanami nods his head in remembrance before grabbing the bag of groceries and heading off to the kitchen.
House husband! Nanami not typically one for talking, quickly apologies for the mess he made…The sink holding a small stack of dishes, while flour dusted the dark oak hardwood floors. and bowls of different fruit flavored custard cream fillings just sitting there lined up on the granite island counter top.
“baby you don’t need to apologize, i know how hard you’ve been working lately” you comment softly while sneakily dipping your finger into one of the fillings while his back is turned, you knew your husband could be quite the neat freak so you never minded when nanami made small messes because you know he’d clean up after himself either way.
House husband! Nanami whose ears flushed pink after hearing you call him baby, even though you’ve been married for years he still never got used the the pet names you’d call him…thankfully he was turned around so you wouldn’t be able to how flushed his face was.
“this one needs some vanilla extract” you say after licking the lemon-flavored cream off your finger, the taste was somewhat sour and with the little knowledge of baking you had, you knew adding vanilla would balance the flavor. Honestly, you were surprised that Nanami hadn’t thought of it already.
House husband! Nanami whose left eye twitches slightly after hearing your words, how could he not think to add vanilla of all things.
and now here House husband! Nanami was letting out gruntled groans as he sank himself into the warmth of your cunt, your body was pushed against the granite counter top, black pencil skirt somehow pushed up your to your waist while the sheer stockings your wore were now ripped open with your panties pushed to the side.
needy moans leave your lips as you clench around your husband’s girth, nanami, whose grip on your hair never falters while muttering the nastiest of praises into your ears. You’re practically hanging on by a thread—Nanami stretching out your walls with each thrust and muttering how much he adores and appreciates you and your pussy.
his apron long gone and forgotten to the side, same with the grocery, “kennnnn” you moan out dragging out the n in the little nickname, your so close to reaching your orgasm and nanami knows it, he’s studied everything about you, from how pretty you look cumming on his dick to how your eyes get droopy and your pupils would dilate.
nanami leaned forward feeling himself working through his own and letting his grip on your hair go, another round of gruntled groans leave his mouth as his hot sticky cum shoots into you.
guess you could say your husband’s pie wasn’t the only thing getting filled. <3

blue raspberry flavored
soobin x fem!reader
synopsis: he’s so cute when he asks, he’s even cuter when he doesn’t
warnings: 🔞!!! breeding kink, baby trapper, dubcon/manipulation, nipple/breast play, use of teeth, marking, no protection, creampie, talk of pregnancy, soobin calls reader bunny a few times prob forgot some sorry
wc: 1.5k
an: don't know how this one will go over but hope you guys like it feedback is appreciated :)) [m.list]
this is apart of my mini kinktober event check out the other fics here [dumdum m.list]
Soobin was never really forgetful of anything. He never forgot your birthday, missed an anniversary, messed up on your coffee order, he never even had to write down what he needed when he went grocery shopping. But bringing a condom always seemed to slip his mind.
At first it was easy to write off in the beginning of your relationship, every time the two of you got closer to having sex and not just messy make outs every pouty ‘its okay ill just pull out’ sounded more and more appealing. But you bought a box of condoms for your apartment and didn't realize the way his jaw clicked at the sight of them.
Soon after soobin was suddenly into pda. Purposefully teasing you out in public, hand slipping up your thigh under the table at a friends house, pulling you into heady kisses out at events, pushing you into bathroom stalls to try and undress you. You didn't make the connection until later that he was avoiding taking you home. ‘I just can't wait i need you right now,’
He knew exactly what to say for you to fold, slowly chipping away at the idea that the two of you even needed protection at all. It was so easy for you to remember when in your own bed, the nightstand right there. But in the back of the car with his lips all over you, hands kneading your thighs, pushing your knees apart; you let so much slide. Mumblings for him to pull out lost between moans. Where was he supposed to cum in the car anyways? He’d hate to ruin the interior or your pretty skirt.
In the beginning it wasn't so bad, soobin could restrain himself. If you two didn't use a condom he would make sure to pull out and if you did use one he was easy to comply. But it only took one time and it was an accident, a real accident where he didn't pull out fast enough. It was in the mix of his fucked out apology that he realized he wasnt sorry at all, not when he was watching the way your abused cunt was pushing out his cum and all he could really think about was going right back in for more.
post nut he was a bit ashamed but as soon as he thought about it for long enough he had his hand down his pants begging in an empty room to get you pregnant. And when you're ovulating it's only worse. Not only does he know it would be so easy to knock you up but it's like you're beckoning him to do it. Your hands squeezing your boobs, pushing up your bra while you're watching movies together. “Ugh im so sore,” the pout on your lips instantly makes him hard. His imagination taking over thinking about just how big they would get if he did get you pregnant.
And when you wear that tiny little tank top he is insatiable. Nipples peeking through the thin fabric as you lay against the pillows on the bed. You didn't even notice that soobin is paying no attention to the tv, his eyes watching the way your chest rises and falls. Adjusting in his seat to not make it too obvious he was already leaking in his sweatpants. Only it does the exact opposite, your eyes drawn to the bulge outlined in the gray fabric.
“Need help there?” it's the slight invitation he needs to roll over on top of you, lips working down your throat, hips rutting against yours.
“Please bunny, i need you,” he begs as you run your fingers through his hair pushing the strands behind his ears. Pleading brown eyes working on you instantly, he was always so desperate to have you and he knew it always made him get what he wanted.
He tugs down your tank top far enough for your boobs to spill out, hands reaching up to cup them both, thumbs sliding over your skin as he groans. “Look at your pretty nipples,” he squeezes his hands, pushing them together to watch the way your cleavage deepens.
You whine softly, “gentle i'm still tender,” the reminder only adding to his want, mouth coming down to suck on your nipple, your moan going straight to his aching cock.
Kneading the handfuls he has of your breasts, your back arches, lips popping off obscenely from one nipple only to capture the next. He's rough as he massages, your nails scratching along his scalp, his moans reverberating through your chest as he swirls his tongue over the hard bud.
He's humping you like you don't have layers of clothes separating you two, every slow drag of his hips pressing his hardness right against your clit, his teeth softly biting at your nipple tugging to watch how you react. Soobin knows that getting you off at least once before actually fucking you led to your inhibitions being weakned enough to forget about the condom all together. His hand slipped down between you two, pushing past your waistband to rub on your clit.
Lips coated in his spit he starts sucking marks along your chest, watching the way your head rolls back, fingers sliding through your slick as your hips buck up into his hand. He knows your body well enough to see the first orgasm coming, relishing in the way you tremble against him. With no time to let you ride out your high he's pulling down your shorts and panties, kicking off his sweats using all your wetness to lube up his cock.
But even in your haze you reach out beside you fumbling for the drawer to the nightstand pulling out the little shiny packet. You don't even see the disappointment on his face as you rip open the packet helping to slide the condom on him.
And he wants to be good, truly, only when he slowly pushes in he cant think about anything else except fucking you hard enough the condom breaks, neither of you knowing until its too late, until all his cum is spilling out of you. It’s that thought alone that makes him pull all the way out, his fingers slipping along the condom as he tugs it off. “What-”
“It's okay,” he mutters, tossing the condom to the pile of your clothes on the floor. “I need to feel all of you please,” and he tries to kiss away the worry on your mouth, and you shake your head.
“No you need another one we have extra in the nightstand,” but he's already prodding your entrance, tip slipping in as he begs, "I'll just pull out I promise, please, please,"
You don't even get to respond before his hips slam into yours, fully seating himself inside you, promptly shutting up anything else you could say. Even if after the two of you were done you were upset it's not like you would leave him would you? Not if he got you pregnant, the two of you were ready, and he'd take such good care of you. “Fuck,” his drawn out moan pressed right into your neck as he bullies his cock into you, “you feel amazing bunny,”
You're clinging to him, moans mixing with the obscene wet sounds coming from between you two. “Soobin s-slow down,” but you're not sure you want him to, not when he's hitting just the perfect spot inside of you, pressed so deep you swear you can feel him in your stomach.
“No,” he pants pulling you closer, “im going to stuff you full of my fucking cum, we will stay here all night if we have to,” your clenching gummy walls aiding him on. “Don't you want my baby?”
You can't even think straight let alone answer his question, his long fingers moving to work on your clit, “you'd be so pretty full of me, my cum, my baby, everyone would know youre all mine,”
The room is full of your desperate moans, your legs wrapping around him as if you could pull him any closer. “You like that idea huh?”
“Y-yes,” you're practically crying, tears welling up in your eyes, “i want it, please,”
That alone makes soobins balls tighten, cock jerking inside you before he spills the biggest load he's ever had inside you. He presses his hips against yours making sure you're flush together as you cum, fluttering walls sucking him in deeper milking him dry of all he has. He takes your hand in his lowering it to press over your pelvis, pressing it down enough to make you moan, “i don't think once will do it,” deep slow thrusts pushing his cum further in making you dizzy, “but you did such a good job im sure you can handle the rest,"
a very special thank you to @aduh0308 and @chyuuiung for beta/proof reading this for me ily you're the best

Small continuation to this. @nightunite @beloveds-embrace I remember your interest in Price’s divorce, so here we go
John Price promises
Thinking thoughts about ex-husband John, who’s never there, who’s married to his work in the best and the worst sense of the phrasing. He misses birthdays and Christmases and Valentines and everything in between.
He promises-promises-promises, kisses the crown of your head, eyes tired and deeply seated in the web of his crow’s feet — dark blue of his irises so unreachable it feels like choking when you try to even try and touch the bottom of it.
Pressure changes, pressure threatens to burst your eardrums, pressure promises to make you sorry for trying to push through it.
John sighs and turns away, shoulders a rough square, tension already lacing through him because yeah, of course, luv, not like he doesn’t know that he’s missing your anniversary.
Yes, he knows. Yes, he gets it, sweetheart, he really does, but didn’t you know who you are marrying?
He is not even angry, exasperation of his tone slicing through your chest and it almost feels like condescension — the way he keeps patting your head and trying to kiss it better, like a spare kiss and a kind word would suffice for everything he didn’t live up to.
Like it can reinstate your trust in him after another cancelled date and another lonely dinner when he swore he’d get a day off and never did.
Honestly, he has no one but himself to blame and all things considered some people would say it’s a miracle you lasted this long with him.
It’s wonder you loved him so much you forgot that you need some love too. A true miracle you always loved him and never looked the other way, god knows he had to fight a lot of potential suitors for your hand before you decided you want him.
Angry, stubborn, moody and controlling him.
You picked him up as an explosive sod in his mid twenties and made him the man he is now, carefully manoeuvring through the triggers of his and making him smile when it all felt like a big load of shite.
Why did you even settle for him?
Why does he now feel like you settled for him — a closed off git who spent his whole life proving that he’s worthy of respect and his rank and responsibility.
And you.
God, it’s been years and he’s still not sure if he really is worthy of you.
John stares down at the divorce papers on his desk and feels something very similar to hurricane unfurling in his chest, rage pounding inside his head, panic icing our all warmth that was there, ring on his finger suddenly so slippery he has to curl his fingers into fist.
Can’t risk losing it. Not when he’s already losing you.
Simon watches him sometimes, John notices, but Ghost never says anything or perhaps, he does, just not to John. Small mercies.
John can’t help but feel a twinge of acidic envy at Simon getting along with his bird so well — his pretty partner picking up the behemoth of 141’s lieutenant.
Simon’s partner who always murmurs something in his ear and Ghost’s eyes crinkle in the corners.
Simon’s partner who seems content with how things are and with how often Simon is absent and Price just doesn’t bloody get it.
Simon works almost as much as he does, Simon is always away, Simon is never home for holidays.
And yet Simon’s partner says “yes” to a proposal and grins like the happiest person in the world whilst standing at the altar.
And yet Simon’s now spouse is bringing him snacks and is kissing his jaw and doesn’t fucking plan to divorce Simon.
Drives John right up the fucking wall, it does.
But there is no way he’s going to ask his lieutenant why his marriage isn’t failing, why his spouse seems to still love him. Why John’s doesn’t.
John drags his feet through the whole proceeding, John watches you with heavy bottomless eyes but stays stubbornly silent because okay, that’s your choice.
You want to get rid of him so badly that even wedding vows aren’t stopping you? Off you go then, he’s not gonna tie your leg to a kitchen table and lock you in the house.
John just scoffs and looks away but still hides your car keys in his fatigues so you don’t leave after another fight.
John murmurs “alright then”, but doesn’t sign the fucking papers because “I’m sorry, love, I lost them” and asks for the seventh copy.
John nods and says he’s letting you go if that’s what you want, but he doesn’t take off his ring and shakes his head when you offer to give him back your engagement one.
Yeah, it was his mom’s but it’s yours now, alright, love? Always yours.
He’s yours.
John is the wickedest man there is because he says one thing thinks another and does the third one.
And never never admits what the fuck is going on, because he can’t, because there has to be something wrong with him if even his lovely spouse is running.
Because John must be sinking if even his better half doesn’t think it’s worth staying and he doesn’t say anything but just stays in the kitchen while you are shuffling around the house.
Drinks the same cup of earl grey for hours on end, twirling spoon in it mindlessly, nervous tremor to his left wrist getting harder when his head gets a little too dark.
You hover in tne doorway, eyes deep with something he isn’t sure how to reach and it would be so easy if you said something like always. If you made the first step so he doesn’t have to.
But you just stand there, awkwardly shifting weight from one leg to another before you finally leave upstairs to get ready for bed.
Feels just like another defeat for John and at this point he is not even sure he knows how to play.
His tea gets cold the longer he sits on a wooden chair, lower back aching in protest but he just stares out of the kitchen window in the darkness of the night.
John says he can do this, John says it’s nothing, John says that he will sign it all.
John promises-promises-promises and still crawls in your bed, wrapping arms around you and breathing in your scent.
John whispers sweet quiet things in your skin, pleads you to reconsider, murmurs that he can’t do it without you.
He presses his forehead to your shoulder and scoops you up in his embrace, covering your whole body with his (come morning, he’ll pretend to be thoroughly asleep when you pull yourself out from underneath him just to be able to leave the bed).
Price still kisses your temple before work, press of his lips to your skin is more of a ritual than a routine, a second nature of his to love your whole being.
Price sits at his desk for a good hour before realising he hasn’t been writing a single fucking thing, he just can’t.
Not when his stomach churns at the thought of you right now packing up your things.
Of you leaving the house and leaving him.
Simon watches him carefully and at this point, it’s bloody annoying, can’t a man at least go through the divorce in peace?
Ghost huffs air out, rolls a fag between his teeth, tilting his head to the side — eyes heavy bottomless nothing, eyes the colour of graveyard soil, eyes-dark-holes that lead to a darker place of Simon’s head.
“Thought you didn’t want to divorce ‘em.”, Simon hums out like it’s a fact, like John hasn’t been missing every important date and important thing for the past few years.
Like John has been a good husband that deserves to have good things and deserves you.
Truth to be told, even before he became captain, John never fucking deserved you.
Could have lived a thousand lives and never earned the right to call himself your husband.
Still did though.
(Doesn’t matter if he deserved it if he really fucking wanted it, right?)
John rubs his eyes, pressing the heels of his palms down until the kaleidoscope of his ganglion cells doesn’t start to dance with flashes of colour.
Fucking hell, what is he even doing here? How did things turn to be so complicated?
“I don’t.”, he doesn’t realise he has said it out loud until he pulls his hands off his face and Ghost is still watching him with the same unnerving intensity.
He will get his lieutenant sunnies on one of these days and will never have to deal with this headache of a gaze.
“Then why do you?”, Simon asks like it’s simple, like it’s a fucking fairytale that Price can fix with a snap of his fingers or a kind word or a kiss of true love.
What’s the point of his true love if he’s not sure you can even feel it?
“How do you do it?”, John asks instead, words tasting like acid in his mouth, scraping his tongue and tender insides of his mouth, bleeding sickening weakness down his throat.
His father would have smacked the taste out of John’s mouth if he heard the way he sounds right now.
But Ghost is not his father, Ghost just watches him silently, the only indicator that he even heard the question is a raised eyebrow of his. This cunt.
“Your spouse.”, John adds grumbling, dragging his feet through the whole conversation because god, he hates having talks. “They seem to be happy. Mine’s aren’t. ‘ts like I’m snuffing out their fire”, admitting it is even worse than thinking.
Admitting it is his personal defeat, his biggest flaw, his grandest fuck-up. Admitting it is a weakness.
Yeah, he deserves this fucking divorce all right. Miracle you put up with his arse for this long.
Ghost watches him with annoying understanding, with something almost akin to amusement, the same way you watch a dog run into clear glass doors repeatedly and then whimper on the porch in confusion.
“When’s the last time you talked?”, the question catches John off guard because it is so…normal? He honestly expected more silence or something more obscure but instead he is just awkward again.
But before John even gets to answer, Simon adds “Actually talked, John. Not snapped at each other like a pair of miserable toads”
Price has half a mind to tell Ghost to go fuck himself and his fucking talks but coincidentally Ghost is the one of them who is not going through the divorce, so John shuts his fucking gob.
“Think when you two actually connected like people. You’ve been together longer than some live in our line of work, sir”, Simon presses a cigarette butt down the ashtray, thin thread of smoke still rising off his desk.
“But when you are together this long you start forgetting that the other party can’t read your bloody mind. Goes for both of you by the way”, he chuckles, crossing arms over his chest, muscles rolling under the dark sweater of his.
“Reckon it’s third time they’ve been wringing you through it, isn’t it? Why’d you think they won’t back down now? What changed, eh?”
Price keeps rolling this pep talk on repeat the whole day, his mind a broken record speaking with the voice of his lieutenant and watching him from inside out with your eyes.
When was the last time you talked to each other?
When was the last time he asked you about the book you were reading? When was the last time you asked him about the op he came back from?
What changed?
John rubs his face, anxious sharp coils crawling up his arms to his heart, tremors getting worse before he has to physically force himself to stop and take a breather.
Not as young as he has been once, can’t just power through it anymore.
John shifts his weight from one leg to another, standing in front of the front door to your house and hates his own arse because what is even going on with him.
Price doesn’t want to think about the possibility of house being empty when he steps inside.
He will burn this bridge when he gets to it.
John gets inside and slowly pulls the heavy boots off, carpet cushioning his steps to the kitchen, warm glow of it welcoming him the same way your arms usually did.
You sit with his cup already filled up, steam rising off of his Earl Grey, something in his chest clawing from inside out in the open.
You don’t say anything but just raise to your feet and get ready to leave. So he can have his evening sit down with a cup until you fall asleep.
So you can hover for a moment longer in the doorway like the ghost of your own marriage before taking your leave and pretending later that you don’t melt into John’s embrace. That you don’t curl into him at night.
Price watches you, eyes heavy and dark, fingers of his right hand twitching involuntarily.
Here it comes. Now or never, John.
“Would you…do you want to have a cuppa with me? I bought these biscuits you seem to fancy, saw them on my way home, I—”, oh for fuck’s sake and now he’s rambling. This is just prime, John, that’s exactly how you were supposed to sound.
He coughs in his fist trying to mask the embarrassment, available hand still gripping the poor baggy of biscuits like it might run if he doesn’t do it.
What does he even think he is doing, offering his spouse fucking biscuits halfway through their divorce? He’s gone mad, that’s for sure.
“You are probably tired though. Must have had a long day with…everything.”, he adds softer, eyes down in his cup. Giving you an out.
Giving himself an out.
No need to have all these awkward conversations with your emotionally inept husband if you get divorced, right?
He’s a fucking coward when it comes to you. Always has been. Maybe that’s part of his “charm” you bought into?
“I can stay for a cup.”, you murmur quietly and plop himself down next to him. No cup in sight, John’s cheeks aching in a way that feels entirely too unnatural but your eyes crinkle and god, you are the prettiest, aren’t you, sweetheart? “Gonna make me one or you plan to stand there and look handsome?”
Teasing snaps him out of it, force of his smile just getting harder and he must be beaming at you like a proper idiot. But you don’t seem to mind too much.
Maybe you still like him after all.
“Just a moment, love”, John says, kiss to your cheek making his heart flutter, warmth spreading in his chest when you ravage through the baggy and bite off half of the biscuit.
Got them right this time, didn’t he? Seems like he’s still good for something.
John spends his whole life proving to himself that he deserves you and never asks whether you think he does or no.
John knows how to make your tea since your third date and knows what kind of biscuits his love fancies since the second one.
John decides he’s going to marry you on the first date you two have.
There is something bittersweet in brewing tea for a spouse he will always love and will always fail.
Because that’s what he does, because he never learned how to talk it out and he isn’t sure a daft old dog like him can learn any new tricks.
Coward’s way out.
No need to watch him claw his chest open and present you the infected wound of his heart if you get divorced, right?
Yeah, he never deserved you. But he always wanted.
John presses a dozen kisses to your face while he moves around the kitchen.
Each one a haste warm thing, more of a breath on your skin then actual touch.
That’s as much as he can muster up of actual tenderness without crumbling at your feet and swallowing his pride.
It all feels like a dead end. Like there is nowhere to go from here, he’s looking straight in the wall and he’s never been one to barrage through the obstacles.
Maybe that’s what was lacking. Maybe that’s why Simon’s spouse still loves him.
“You are thinking awfully hard there”, there is no malice in your voice, only quiet laughter and it spreads through Price’s achy bones like hot bath water, bubbles raising to his thorax.
Prettiest fucking thing you are with laughter like a hundred bells. Absolute darling.
John hums quietly, eyes meeting yours and he has a thousand different blunt questions that wary in degrees of hurt and confusion but you are still here.
Sitting in your kitchen, sipping tea he made for you, wearing his bloody sweater.
His spouse, his love, his partner for life.
“I got really lucky, didn’t I?”, it’s a rhetorical question, but there is choking tenderness the size of Jupiter in John’s mouth and he isn’t sure how to tell you that he’d kiss the soles of your feet every day the same way he kisses your forehead.
That bathes with you felt holier than any baptism, that he was closest to god when he was with you, your fingers combing through his hair like he’s something precious. Like he’s something you love.
John doesn’t know how to express the enormous amount of love he feels when you smile at him, when you yell at him, when you push back and snap your fingers in his face, his cheeky treasure.
John doesn’t think he earned the right to pleadask you to reconsider.
“I got more than most people ever did”, he murmurs softly and laces his fingers through yours, softly squeezing — callouses of his hands rubbing on the skin of yours.
There is a small twitch in the muscle of your jaw, your eyes intense enough to make him sorry if he tries to push harder and reach the bottom of your head.
“What’s that?”, your voice cracks the same way it usually did when you’d catch flu, cough ravaging your throat, rasp weaving itself in your vocal cords.
John looks at you for the first time in a very long time and there is no exasperated condescension in his eyes, crows feet of his eyes melting into a smile so gentle you feel like crying. This bastard.
“You.”, he murmurs, thumb circling the knuckle of yours, eyes soft in a way they haven’t been in forever and this is so unfair, he could ask you anything and you could never say no when he does it like that. “I got you.”, he adds quietly and his smile gets gentler. “Even if I never deserved to, I just want you to know that I always wanted it. Always wanted you. Always will”
John holds you like your are precious fragile thing, his skin warm from holding his cuppa, palm cupping your face when he angles your face up and kisses your brow.
Like it’s a goodbye.
“You deserve to be happy, love. You deserve to feel loved, not just know that you are”, Price says and wipes away a stray tear of yours, his eyes creasing in the corners to hide the redness of them, sharp lashes wet with something he would never admit.
Weakness that bleeds down his throat and chokes him out. Tenderness he never learned because men aren’t about the sappy talk.
John thinks one thing, says another and does the third one so he never mentions that he knows you have the stack of copies of divorce papers in your nightstand and never mentions that he left a signed one on top of them.
You deserve better than silent signature and stubborn husband.
You deserve better than him. But god, if it doesn’t kill him to admit it.
Just one more thing John Price will never talk about.

Summary: Wanda ends her long term relationship with Jarvis after realizing she was a lesbian. You've been her best friend since college, it's only right for you to support her in any way you can.
An: So this was supposed to be a cute little 1-2k fic loosely based on the Doja Cat snippet that says "Does a key to your flat mean girlfriend?" But it has turned into something else lol.

From the first day that you met her, you knew that Wanda would be one of the most successful people that you had ever encountered. There was no one more determined to make something of themselves than her. It was more than hard work; it was the way she sacrificed for the things that she wanted to accomplish in life.
You admired her.
How could you not, especially with the lack of direction you had in your own life? When you became her roommate in your sophomore year in college, you were already on your 3rd major. From engineering, to English, to culinary arts; you were all over the place. Yet you didn’t care much about it, figuring things would work out somehow.
You believed that the universe would grant you whatever fate you deserved. Until Wanda told you that was such a ridiculous notion. Who would wait for a handout from the universe when they could simply get what they wanted themselves?
She was a good influence on you. You started taking school and your future a little more seriously after that. You put a lot more stock into your culinary dreams, and they paid off. There was a beaming fulfillment in your chest when you opened your own restaurant. Something that probably wouldn’t have happened if you hadn’t met Wanda.
While you can’t necessarily recall what Wanda does off of the top of your head. You know she’s got some long fancy title at some big industry company. She had taken an internship in college and because of how completely undeniable the woman was, she shot up in the ranks of the company within a 10-year period.
You were both busy people, but you never loss touch as you climbed your respective ladders of success. It was second nature for you to keep in contact with Wanda. It’s not something you thought about as much as something that you did.
Other aspects of your life often slipped through your fingers. You weren’t proud to say you’d forgotten a birthday or two or missed family plans because of work. Even your dating life suffered immensely because of your hectic lifestyle.
You never understood just how Wanda could manage to create enough balance in her life to find someone like Jarvis. He was a good man, clean cut. A little more uptight than you’d thought Wanda would go for, but a charmer, nonetheless.
You remember being skeptical when you first met him. You were the first person that he’d met from Wanda’s life. It was an accident when you ran into him on the way out of Wanda’s flat. He was about to knock when you were exiting. The red head was a little embarrassed to explain as you stared at the tall blonde man. You looked between the two before you shook his hand and sent him a decent enough smile.
She had chased after you when you left, trying to explain herself, but there was nothing to explain. You congratulated her, said you were happy she found someone. She thought you’d be upset with her, but you weren’t. How could you be upset when she was happy?
You had assumed that they had a perfect relationship. That’s how it seemed when you saw them interact with each other. His hand on her waist, her eyes shining into his. They’d seem to compliment each other like the ocean compliments the beach.
Which is why you were confused when Wanda called you in the middle of your shift at work. She hardly ever called, finding texting much more reliable. However, you picked up the phone on the first ring.
“Hey, I know you’re probably working right now but is there any way you can pick me up.”
It sounded like she had been crying.
You were taking your apron off as you spoke into the phone, “Always, just send me your location and I’ll be on my way.”
You hear the relieved sigh she lets out, “Thank you.”
You informed your staff of your departure and went to your car. Wanda sent her location, and you put it into your GPS, before driving off. She was closer than you had expected so getting to her was easy.
She was at a park in the middle of the city. The day was cloudy, and the sun was preparing to set. It was a very grey day to be outdoors.
Once you were out of your car you scanned around for your friend. You found her almost instantly. She was sitting on a bench, her head in her hands.
You’d seen her stressed before, but this felt bigger than that. Her voice on the phone made that very evident to you.
You approached her cautiously and when you got close enough you called her name, “Wanda.”
Her head shot up when she heard you. She was off the bench and in your arms before you had time to react. Her arms were tightly wound around you. It caught you off guard and all you could do was stare down at her for a moment.
Soon you were holding her back just as tight. Your hand cradled the back of her hair, finger tenderly rubbing her scalp.
“What happened?” Your voice is soft when you ask, not trying to provoke her any more than she already is.
It takes her a minute to pull away enough to answer you, but eventually she does, “Jarvis, he proposed.”
Your eyes widen, “These don’t look like happy tears.”
“I was trying to break up with him,” she lets out a deep sigh. “I called him to talk in person, and then I tell him that I think we should break up. He gets on one knee and starts talking, and I- I just…”
“Oh Wands,” you pull her back into your embrace.
You readjust so that you have one arm over her shoulder. She doesn’t protest as you lead her to your car. She climbs in the passenger seat no questions asked as you pull off.
When you arrived at your destination she finally speaks up, “What’re we doing here?”
You’re in and out of the Chinese food spot with a hefty bag of boxes in tow. When you re-enter the car with the food Wanda sends you a small smile.
“Getting takeout,” you answered quickly getting out of the car. “You sit tight.”
“Did you-”
“Of course, I got our favorite and I asked for extra sweet and sour too. I was going to drive to yours, maybe we could eat and indulge in some sitcoms or talk, whatever you want. How does that sound?”
Your eyes raked over her features. She gave you a few small nods, “Sounds better than having an existential breakdown at the park.”
“Well, I guess it’s settled then,” you chuckled a little.
You drove to her house, glancing over at her every few minutes. Her head rested on the window and her eyes were closed, but you knew she wasn’t sleeping. Wanda often closed her eyes when she was trying to ground herself. It was something you had picked up on back in college. You never knew where she went in her head, but it always seemed to help her refocus.
When you got to her flat. You handled the food and the tv, shooing Wanda away to put on some more comfortable clothes. When she came back in her sweatpants and robe the two of you ate as you watched I Dream of Jeannie.
It took about 2 episodes before she said anything to you.
“You’re not going to ask why I wanted to break up with him?”
You leaned back into the couch, “I’m curious, but it didn’t really seem like something I should be asking right now.”
She searched your eyes for something. If you had to guess, you say for security. She needed to know that start she said next was ok to tell you. In truth there was nothing she could say that would deter you from being there for her.
“I think I like women,” she said as she looked into her lap. There were more tears brewing behind her eyes, “Only women.”
There was no hesitation as you moved closer to her. Your thigh brushing against hers, prompting her to meet your gaze.
“That’s not a bad thing Wanda.”
She shakes her head, “It is especially when you have a long-term boyfriend who loves you with everything that he has. You keep wondering when you’re going to love him the way he loves you. When will you stop hating the way he touches you? When will you be able to look at him, the way he looks at you. By the time you realize it can’t be him, it will never be a him… it’s too late. He shows you a ring while you’re trying to break up with him.”
You grab her hand, “You need to be kinder to yourself. This isn’t something you chose to do Wanda. It’s not like you knew the whole time. It sounds like you’re just coming to terms with your sexuality. You did the right thing by breaking up with him.”
“But-"
She ran her free hand through her hair, “Did you think we were a good couple? Jarvis and I.”
“Let me finish. If I’m being honest, getting on one knee and proposing to someone after they tried to break up with you sounds like a manipulation tactic.”
You thought about the question briefly, “I think it looked like you were the perfect couple, but sometimes I didn’t understand it. You’re both so different, not that it was a bad thing. I just… I’ve seen you soar to unimaginable heights. I’ve seen your ambitions become your reality. I just didn’t see that in him. You’re always striving to be the best, to improve. I always thought you’d want someone to do the same with you or someone who was okay with you doing that. It just seemed like all of that went over his head.”
“He was a very traditional man. He always talked about settling down in the future, with firm roots, and kids. He talked about me retiring and letting him take care of me. It was just- not what I wanted.”
“And that’s ok, people break up all the time Wanda. It’s a normal part of life. Yes, it sucks, but it's just a breakup. Think of it as one step closer to finding your person.”
She nods slightly, “When did you get so good at this?”
You smile at her, “I’m not good at this. I’m just good with you. That's what nearly a decade of friendship does to someone.”
She didn’t say anything else. Instead, she rested her head on your shoulder and turned her attention back to the tv. You wrapped your arm around her shoulder, pulling her firmly into you.
Wanda would get through this, just like she got through everything else. You’d make sure of it, because she'd do the same for you.
In the coming months, you found yourself carving out more time for Wanda. The busy nature of your schedule died down significantly when you started to entrust the general manager of your restaurant with some more responsibility. It made your workload lighter while allowing your GM to get some more experience.
You used the new free time to support her the best way you could. Sometimes that meant bringing her lunch when she was working. Other times it was coming over after work to make sure the woman wasn’t neglecting her home. You’d go over and check if she had groceries or that she wasn’t letting the flat get too dirty. She was the kind of woman that threw herself into work when she was trying to avoid something.
You’d even gone as far as helping her set up a dating profile when she was ready to put herself back out there.
“How do you do it?”
“Do what?”
You were once again in her flat. She stood in the kitchen, while you sat on a chair stationed at the island in the middle of the same room.
“Date women,” she was asking sincerely, but you couldn’t stop yourself from laughing.
“Well, I don’t really date, but it’s the same as any date. You’re trying to present your best self, get a good foot forward, but while maintaining an authenticity. It’s not like a job interview where only one person is doing the hiring; you both have a say in how it turns out.”
Wanda narrows her eyes, “Why don’t you date?”
You shrug, “Too busy running a very successful restaurant.”
“You’re not as busy as you used to be. Maybe you should set up a profile for yourself. I’m sure any girl would be lucky to have you.”
You shook your head, “Hard pass, but I appreciate the effort.”
“Come on, Y/nn. I know accomplishments can feel empty when you don’t have anyone to share them with,” she tried to persuade you.
“Well good thing I can share it with you then,” you countered.
She let out an irritated sigh, “You know that’s not what I meant.”
You smirked, “Why do you want me to sign up so badly anyway? You think we’re going to match?”
You were only joking, yet you can’t help but notice the slight color on your friend’s cheeks.
She scoffed like you expected her to, “Grow up.”
For a moment it felt like you were back in your college dorm. The playful and flirty banter was always present between the two of you. It was easy for you to flirt with her, knowing you never really had a chance. However, now that there was even the slightest of possibility that this could escalate, it felt completely different.
“It’s alright Wanda, nothing to be ashamed of. I’m hot, successful, hardworking, and financially responsible. Hard to ignore the total package.”
She rolled her eyes, “I remember when Ms. ‘Total Package’ couldn’t even finish her college assignments without my help.”
You chuckle when you catch her eyes, “You’ve got me there. If it wasn’t for you, I have no idea where’d I be.”
“Probably still in college on your 95th major change,” she laughed at her own joke.
It was your turn to roll your eyes, “Very funny.”
With a smile plastered on her face she strolled over to sit next to you. She spun on the barstool before grabbing your arms and looking into your eyes, “I have something for you actually.”
“What is it?”
She reached into her pocket and sat a key down on the island. You looked at her, then the key, with slight confusion.
“A key?”
Wanda nodded softly, “You’re basically here all the time and I’m getting tired of opening the door for you.”
“I’m using this key to come over and cook in this beautiful kitchen, you hardly use.”
“Hey, I cook,” she defended.
You laughed, “I said hardly, didn’t I?”
When you got home that night, you felt a new weight on your shoulders. Your hand slipped into your pocket to pull out the key. You held it flat in your palm. The small piece of metal was cool against your skin. You stared at it for a long while.
It was just a key. There wasn't anything crazy about it. Your friend gave you a key to her house. Friends do that with each other. Your heart shouldn’t have been fluttering the way it was over such a simple gesture.
You closed your hand around the key trying to ground yourself. Your eyes shut, but as soon as they did her smile etched its way into your sight.
“Shit.”
It was like college all over again. You thought you had gotten over your crush on Wanda many years ago. She was straight, it was never going to happen. That was something you could deal with, something you could work through. However now, that wasn’t the case anymore. Wanda liked women, technically you had a chance.
You shouldn't be thinking like that. She needs you now, to be her friend. You were doing so well. Taking care of her had become an unconscious pattern as easy as breathing. You never thought about it too hard when she needed you. It’s like the moment she put the key in your hand, your mind finally started thinking.
Subconsciously you’d always known it. It’s why you didn't date. It was unfair to be with someone who you could never prioritize over Wanda. She was one of the few people in your life that you’d drop everything for.
Sure, you were a busy woman, but you’d never be too busy for her. Her distress over Jarvis literally made you change the way you worked, just to make sure you were there when she needed you.
“Why would I make her a dating profile?” You asked yourself as you face-planted on to your mattress.
Just as you expected Wanda’s profile was gaining some traction. There were a lot of women interested in someone like her. Soon she was going on more dates than you had been on in years. Most of them weren’t serious, she often said she wouldn’t be seeing them again.
You made a day of finding the freshest ingredients. You drove out to find markets that had authentic food from her home country. There wasn’t a lot locally, but you didn’t mind the hunt.
While you were sad that she wasn’t finding anyone suitable you were also happy for the same reason. You thought you’d attempt to cheer her up after so many bad dates by cooking one of her favorite dishes.
Once you had everything you needed you made your way over to Wanda’s. It was a hassle carrying everything up, but you managed with a little effort.
While you were still conflicted about having a key to her flat, you used it plenty of times. So just like you had done previously you let yourself into Wanda’s home.
“Oh, fuck sorry,” you said as you immediately saw Wanda straddling the lap of an older ( admittedly super attractive) woman on her living room couch.
Wanda looked like a deer in headlights. You were trying to comprehend if you were more mortified or heartbroken. No one spoke for a long while until the older woman cleared her throat.
“Right, uh I’ll just come back tomorrow or something. Enjoy your night, Wanda.”
With the groceries still in your hands, you turned around and closed the door. You only made it down a few steps before you heard someone calling after you.
“Y/n, wait!”
You closed your eyes and took in a deep breath trying to mask your feelings before you turned around.
“This stuff is a little heavy Wanda; I want to get it back to the car before the bags break.”
She took a few bags from your hands, “Let me help you.”
“You don’t have to; you looked pretty busy in there. Here I was, bringing stuff to cook for you in light of all your failed dates, but it seems like you’re not doing nearly as bad as I thought,” you tried to joke with her.
“Agatha is definitely the best of the dates I've had so far.”
You had to keep yourself from wincing, “Glad to hear it.”
Wanda helped you load the stuff back into the car.
“I’m really sorry about this. If I would’ve known you were coming-"
You shook your head, “It’s fine Wanda, go back to making out with a hot older woman. They don't like to wait for too long. I’ll just text you next time instead of just barging in.”
“I gave you a key because you’re always welcome.”
You unhooked the key from your key ring and hand it back to her, “I know that, but maybe it’s best if you let me in.”
“Y/n,” she looked at you with confusion.
You smiled through the pain, “If you’re going to have women over, it’s not a good look for another woman to be coming in and out of your house whenever. We’re not related and we’re not roommates. There’s not really a reason for me to have access to you like that.”
“I don’t understand,” she looked between you and the key that was now in her hand.
“Usually, a key to your flat would mean I’m your girlfriend. Me coming over to cook for you as another woman who likes women is bad for your stock. It just doesn't feel like something that's easily explained. I would have a bunch of questions if I was in Agatha’s position, especially since you haven't gone back yet,” you got into your car.
There was a conflicted look on her face, “You’ll stop by tomorrow?”
“I’ve got work, but I'll try to stop by after,” you told her that even though you knew you wouldn't be coming back tomorrow.
“I’ll see later then?” She was searching for something as she surveyed your features.
With what little control you had left, you tried to give her what she was looking for, “Definitely. Now forget about this and go back to your date.”
She looked like she wanted to say more, but with a small glance back at her flat, she walked away. You drove home.
The groceries felt eternally heavier when you were bringing them into your house. You wondered how carrying them upstairs to Wanda’s was even possible.
You hurriedly put the food away, showered, and then got in the bed. When your head hit the pillow, you let out a deep sigh. Your jaw started to tremble on its own.
You let out a bitter laugh as the tears fell down your face. You didn’t bother to wipe them away. It felt like a part of you was ripped out of your chest.
This was bound to happen eventually. Wanda would move on from Jarvis and your silly fantasy would be crushed. You felt silly crying over a woman that was never yours.
Yet another part of you was screaming at you for feeling silly. You were doing a lot for Wanda. Even if it was all just friendly, sometimes it felt like more. All the dinners, all the cuddling on the couch, all the late-night talks. She was your better half, but she wasn’t your girl. She’d never be your girl.
It was something you had to accept. You didn’t go to work the next day. You rotted in your bed, not having the energy to get up. Scrolling on your phone was the only thing you wanted to do.
Wanda had texted you a few times, but you ignored the messages. Even the thought of her just made your entire chest burn.
You finally got out of bed when you had to pee. You took the opportunity to brush your teeth as well. On the way back to the bed your doorbell started to ring. Not just once either. Whoever was at the door pressed the button over and over again. It was impossible to ignore.
So, with your bed head, red eyes, and mismatched pajamas you yanked the front door open, “Look, I don’t know what you want but could you just go away and try again tomorrow or something.”
“Tomorrow’s not going to work for me.”
Your head shot up and you felt face heat. Wanda was standing at your front door with her arms crossed over her chest with an eyebrow raised.
“What’re you doing here?”
Your voice had a softness to it that you reserved for the red head in front of you.
She didn’t answer your question. Instead, she let herself into your home. You closed the door behind her. You followed her to your living room. She sat on your couch while you took a seat on a chair diagonal to it.
“I thought you had work today,” she says.
“I decided not to go.”
“I’ve been texting you.”
You shrugged, “Haven’t been on my phone, sorry.”
Wanda stared at you, “I went to your restaurant looking for you.”
You were looking into your lap, “I’m sorry Wanda.”
She got up from the couch to come completely into your line of sight. She kneeled down in front of you, her hands resting on your knees.
“What’s going on with you, Y/nn?”
The concern in her voice broke you out of your trance. You tried your hardest to feign that you were alright.
“I’m fine. Since you’re here why don't you let me cook something for us?”
“This is for paprikash,” Wanda watched as you began to prepare.
You stood from the chair quickly pushing down the rest of your emotions. She watched as you walked over to the kitchen pulling out some of the ingredients you had bought the day before.
You nod, “Yeah, I got stuff for chicken paprikash, alivenci, and cholent too. The plan was to cook the paprikash and then the alivenci for dessert. I was going to set up the cholent for you before I left so you could have it fresh the next day because it’s got to cook for like 17 hours.”
“You got all of this for me?”
You answered her while chopping up the vegetables, “It was nothing.”
“It’s not nothing. You’re using Hungarian bell peppers, where did you even get those?”
You smiled a bit, “I do own a restaurant, Wanda. If there’s anything I’m an expert in, it’s food. I wanted it to be authentic as possible.”
As you began cooking you felt the weight of the situation lift off of your shoulders. Cooking had always been a stress reliever for you, and it wasn’t any different now. You could feel Wanda’s eyes on you, but you never looked away from the meal.
Only when the chicken was simmering in the pot did she attempt to grab your attention.
“After you came by yesterday, I asked Agatha to leave,” Wanda broke the silence.
You finally look at her, “Why would you do something like that?”
She simply placed a key on the counter, “I couldn't stop thinking about you giving me this key back.”
“Wanda,” you tried to stop her, but she cut you off.
“No, I need you to listen. When you put this key in my hand, it felt like you had handed me a live grenade. I didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until I went back inside, and Agatha asked me how we knew each other that it clicked. You’re my everything.”
“What are you saying?”
She hesitated, “I’m saying I’ve already found my person.”
“Wanda, you’re my best friend.”
She invaded your personal space, grabbing you gently by the wrist, “And you’re mine, but it’s more than that isn’t it? You’re the person I can rely on for anything at any time. You’re the woman that left her restaurant to put me back together when my ex left. You listened to me, you held me, you cooked for me, made sure I had groceries, and that my house was clean. Friends don't do as much as you've done for me.”
You slowly lifted your gaze to meet her’s, “I just know you appreciate acts of service.”
“Y/n if you don’t want this I’ll leave and we can pretend it never happened; but if you do want this, want me, I’m right here laying it all out for you.”
You drop your gaze again, “I cried myself to sleep last night. I thought I'd lost my chance. When I saw you on top of Agatha, something broke inside of me Wanda. Back in college I had a crush on, but I thought you were straight, so it was easy to keep it down. When you came out to me, it was like I was at square one all over again.”
Wanda shook her head, “It’s not square one because here I am telling you that I’m in love with you. Please give us a chance Y/n.”
You wished the moment was more glamorous as you kissed the woman in front of you. You hadn’t denied her yet and you never planned to. Her hands locked behind your neck while yours rested on her waist.
Your breath was shaky when the kiss ended. Neither of you moved.
“I love you too,” you pecked her lips again.
Wanda blushed, but you were more focused on the way she looked at you. Her eyes were full of nothing but tenderness.
“Would you take the key back?”
You raised your eyebrow, “Why does it feel like you’re asking me for something else?”
She feigned innocence, “I’m not. Unless you think that what you said yesterday about keys is true.”
“Remind me what I said again?”
Her fingers played with the hairs at the base of your neck, “A key to my flat means girlfriend.”
You pretended to think about it, “Girlfriend?”
She nodded, “Girlfriend.”
“I guess I’ll have to get you a key too then,” you said softly.
This time Wanda leaned in for a kiss. It was supposed to be a peck, but you both got lost in that moment. Neither willingly to part with the other just yet. Lips fitting together to create a soft lullaby of security.
You never thought you’d be lucky enough to have Wanda in this way. She was your best friend, your person, and now your girlfriend. It may have taken years, but you wouldn’t have had it any other way. Wanda cherished you just as much. She felt like an idiot for not realizing her feelings sooner, but she was just happy to call you, her girl.
And one day, she would be ecstatic to call you, her wife.

the carlos sainz roast
summary: it's carlos' 30th birthday and what a better way to celebrate it than roasting him. wc: 2.8k
folkie radio: happy birthday to the smooooth operatorrrrr. i hontesly LOVED this idea that randomly popped in my head and writing it was sooo much fun, i hope you like it !
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON
Carlos Sainz was turning 30. The big 30.
You wanted to do something special to celebrate it, something out of the ordinary that he would never forget. After spending multiple hours on the internet looking for ideas, a brilliant one came to your mind: A roast.
"So all of you will take turns roasting me? Like making jokes about me?" Carlos asked, looking at you from the couch as you pitched him your idea.
"Exactly, baby, It's going to be so much fun!"
The next few weeks flew by in a whirlwind of preparations. You sent out invitations, coordinated with the other drivers, and gathered embarrassing photos and funny stories about Carlos.
The night of the roast, you transformed your living room into a makeshift comedy club, complete with a small stage and a spotlight. Each driver that arrived at your house complimenting your effort.
As everyone settled into their seats, you stood up and tapped your glass with a spoon to get their attention.
"Welcome, everyone, to the Carlos Sainz Roast!" you announced, catching Carlos's eye and winking at him. "We're all here to celebrate the man, the myth, the legend... the one who always leaves the toothpaste open - Carlos Sainz Jr. on his 30th birthday. And what better way to show our love than by mercilessly making fun of him?"
Laughter rippled through your friends as Carlos playfully rolled his eyes, "Thank you, amor, that's very nice of you."
You playfully blew a kiss his way before speaking again, "Now, before we start, let's remember the rules: keep it funny, keep it respectful, and try to speak slowly so Max can understand." You shot a teasing glance at Verstappen, who grinned and shook his head.
"First up, we have Charles Leclerc, Carlos's teammate and the only person who can make Carlos look slow on a good day. Charles, the floor is yours!"
Charles stood up, straightening his jacket as he approached the makeshift stage. He cleared his throat dramatically, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Thank you for that introduction," Charles began, "You know, when I first heard Carlos was joining Ferrari, I was excited. Finally, someone to make me look good! But then I realized, with his luscious hair and chiseled jaw, he was going to steal all my sponsorship deals. So I had to step up my game."
The room erupted in laughter, Carlos included.
"But seriously," Charles continued, "working with Carlos has been an experience. He's like a Spanish version of Google Maps – always recalculating, never quite sure where he's going, but somehow ends up in the right place eventually. That's why I had no doubt in my mind he was going to find an amazing car to drive next season, my bet was on the Safety Car but he opted for an even slower car, a Williams!"
Everyone erupted in laugh again, making Carlos shake his head with his eyes closed, "That one was low, Leclerc."
Charles took a moment to catch his breath, then added with a grin, “And Carlos, now that you’re 30, you’re officially a veteran in the sport. But don’t worry, no matter how many years go by, you’ll always be the guy who can make a Ferrari look like it's in a constant state of panic. Cheers to you, mate!”
You grinned at Charles as he stepped down, patting Carlos on the shoulder. "Alright, that was pretty good, Charles," you said, "But let's see if Lando can top that. Norris, you're up!"
Lando bounded up to the makeshift stage, his trademark cheeky grin plastered across his face. He adjusted the microphone, clearing his throat dramatically.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the birthday boy, Carlos 'Smooth Operator' Sainz," Lando began, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You know, when I first met Carlos at McLaren, I thought, 'Wow, this guy's got it all – talent, looks, charm.' Then I realized it was just his hair products messing with my senses."
The crowd burst into laughter, Carlos included, you ran a hand through his famous locks and he gently grabbed it to place a kiss on your palm.
"If I'm being completely honest," Lando continued, "Carlos taught me so much during our time as teammates. Like how to perfectly time a dad joke in team radio, or how to look devastatingly handsome while finishing P7. Essential skills in F1, really."
The room erupted in laughter once again, with Carlos shaking his head in amused disbelief.
"Carlos, you're one of my best friends," Lando's tone softened slightly, "Even if you did spend most of our time together trying to teach me Spanish pickup lines that work about as well as Ferrari's strategy team."
"But I have a girlfriend and you don't, mate. Even with my bad pickup lines." Carlos jabbed, making you throw your head back in laughter.
As the laughter died down, Lando raised his glass. "To Carlos, the man who proves that you can be devastatingly handsome, irritatingly talented, and still somehow likeable. Happy 30th, mate. May your midlife crisis be as smooth as your overtakes."
Lando stepped down from the stage, approaching Carlos who stood up from his seat to give him a hug.
"Love you, mate," you could hear Carlos say, making you smile.
"Next up, we have Fernando Alonso, Carlos's longtime mentor and fellow Spaniard!" you announced, making everybody clap as Fernando took the stage.
"Ah, Carlos. I've known him since he was just a little karting prodigy. Back then, I thought, 'This kid's going places.' Now, 20 years later, I realize I was right – he's gone to every midfield team on the grid!"
The crowd roared with laughter as Fernando continued, "But seriously, I always thought Carlos had potential, and I was right, he's got the potential to be the second-best Sainz in Motorsports!"
Carlos playfully rolled his eyes, taking a sip from his drink.
"But let me tell you something, Carlos," Fernando's tone softened slightly, "You've made all of Spain proud. You've shown that with hard work, talent, and a famous last name, anything is possible in F1. Well, almost anything, winning a championship might still be a stretch!"
As the laughter died down, Fernando raised his glass. "To Carlos Sainz Jr., the man who proves that you can be a great driver, a fan favorite, and still be overshadowed by your dad at family dinners. Feliz cumpleaños, amigo!"
Fernando stepped down from the stage, approaching Carlos who stood up to give him a warm, laughing embrace. As they parted, you stood up to introduce the next roaster.
"Now, let's hear from someone who's known Carlos since their early days in Formula 1. Please welcome to the stage, the reigning world champion and certified cat lover, Max Verstappen!"
Max sauntered up to the stage, he adjusted the mic and grinned at Carlos.
"If it isn't the new old man of the grid," Max began, earning chuckles from the crowd. "You know, Carlos and I go way back to our Toro Rosso days. I remember when we first met, I thought, 'Wow, this guy's got great hair.' Then I realized that's all he's got!" everyone laughed once again, "Back at Toro Rosso, Carlos was always so dedicated. He'd spend hours studying my telemetry, trying to figure out how to be as fast as me. Spoiler alert: he's still trying!"
The crowd roared with laughter, Carlos included, as he playfully threw a napkin at Max.
"But in all seriousness, Carlos," Max continued with a grin, "you've always been one of the most hardworking and determined drivers on the grid. You never give up, no matter how many times you've been dropped by your teams mid season."
Carlos laughed, raising his glass to Max in a mock toast. "Thanks for the reminder, Max."
"Carlos, you're one of the best guys in the paddock. With your resting bitch face and all, you're always there with a helping hand. Even if your driving skills are debatable," he added with a wink. "Happy 30th, mate."
Max stepped down, and Carlos stood up to give him a hug, both of them laughing. You took the mic once more, "Thank you, Max, for that trip down memory lane. Now, let's welcome to the stage a man who's known for his infectious smile and his matchmaking skills. Please give it up for Daniel Ricciardo!"
Daniel bounded onto the stage with his characteristic enthusiasm, flashing his famous grin.
"G'day, everyone! Carlos, mate, happy birthday!" Daniel began, "You know, I've known Carlos for years, but my proudest achievement was introducing him to his lovely girlfriend, YN," you smiled at this, feeling Carlos squeeze your hand, "I thought to myself, 'This bloke needs someone who can put up with his golf obsession and his constant need for mirror checks.' And boy, did I deliver!"
The crowd erupted in laughter, with you and Carlos exchanging amused glances.
"I remember the day I introduced them," Daniel continued, "I told YN, 'Look, he's a great guy, but be prepared for endless conversations about tyre management and the perfect hair product.' Little did I know, she'd be nodding along enthusiastically!"
You playfully rolled your eyes as the audience chuckled.
"But seriously, folks," Daniel's tone softened slightly, "watching these two together is like watching a perfect pit stop - smooth, efficient, and occasionally involves someone getting sprayed with champagne."
Carlos pulled you closer, placing a kiss on your cheek as everyone 'aww'ed.
"Carlos, mate," Daniel concluded, raising his glass, "you've found yourself a keeper. Someone who can navigate your mood swings faster than you navigate Eau Rouge. YN, love, you've got yourself a man who's smoother than a freshly paved track... at least when he's not tripping over his own feet trying to impress you."
Daniel stepped down from the stage, approaching you and Carlos. You both stood up, enveloping him in a group hug, all three of you laughing and thanking him for his words.
"Alright, that was brilliant, Daniel. Now, let’s hear from let's hear from someone who's about to get very familiar with Carlos's driving quirks. Please welcome to the stage, Carlos's new future teammate, Alex Albon!"
Alex strode up to the stage with a playful grin, adjusting the microphone as he faced the audience.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my new teammate, Carlos Sainz," Alex began, "You know, when I heard Carlos was joining Williams, I thought, 'Great, someone to help push the team forward!' Then I remembered his time at Ferrari and realized he's just as confused about strategy as the rest of us."
The room erupted in laughter, with Carlos good-naturedly shaking his head.
"But seriously, Carlos," Alex continued, "I'm excited to work with you. I mean, who wouldn't want a teammate who's been through more teams than I've had podiums? Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren, Ferrari... Williams is just the latest stop on the Carlos Sainz World Tour, isn't it?"
Carlos raised his glass in mock salute, chuckling along with the audience.
"I have to say, though, I'm a bit worried," Alex said, feigning concern. "I've seen how competitive you are, Carlos. I just hope you remember that at Williams, we're usually racing against the clock, not other cars. But hey, at least you'll always beat the safety car... probably."
"You know, Carlos, I just realized we have something else in common besides our great hair and questionable career choices. We're both proud members of the 'No Appendix Club'!"
The room burst into laughter, with Carlos nodding in amused agreement.
"That's right, folks," Alex continued, "Carlos and I have both had our appendixes removed. I like to think it makes us more aerodynamic, but let's be honest, in Carlos's case, it's probably just made room for more hair product."
Carlos playfully patted his hair, eliciting more chuckles from the audience.
"But seriously," Alex said, "I suppose this means we're perfectly matched as teammates. We're both down an organ, so when Williams inevitably asks us to give 100%, we can honestly say we're already giving everything we've got - minus an appendix, of course! Happy birthday, teammate, here's to a season of driving a tractor, but at least we'll be together."
Alex stepped down from the stage and approached Carlos, who stood up to give him a hug patting his back.
"Now, let's welcome to the stage a man who needs no introduction, but I'll give him one anyway. Seven-time world champion and fashion icon, Lewis Hamilton!" you said and everyone clapped.
Lewis sauntered up to the stage with his characteristic cool demeanor. "Carlos, my man," he began, "I've got to hand it to you. You've had quite the career. Toro Rosso, Renault, McLaren, Ferrari, next year Williams, it's like you're collecting team merchandise,"Lewis grinned mischievously as he continued, "You know, Carlos, I've got to thank you. You've done such a great job warming up that Ferrari seat for me. It's like you were my personal seat heater all along!"
The crowd roared with laughter as Carlos playfully buried his face in his hands, and you rubbed his back comfortingly while chuckling.
"But seriously," Lewis continued with a grin, "You've made that Ferrari seat look good. I just hope I can live up to your legacy of looking devastatingly handsome while trying to figure out what on earth the pit wall is thinking."
Carlos laughed, shaking his head in mock despair. "Thanks, Lewis. I appreciate the… kind words."
"You know, Carlos, I've always admired your ability to stay positive," Lewis continued his roast, "No matter how many times you've been dropped from teams, you always manage to smile for the cameras. It's like you've mastered the art of looking happy while screaming internally. I'm taking notes mate!"
After a few more jabs Lewis concluded his roast, several other drivers took their turns at the mic, each adding their own flavor to the celebration. George joked about Carlos's infamous beach photos, Pierre told some stories about their Toro Rosso days and even Oscar joked about being surprised about being invited since him and Carlos always push each other off the track.
Finally, it was your turn. You stood up, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as you approached the stage. Carlos looked at you with a huge smile.
"Well, well, well," you began, locking eyes with Carlos, "what can I say about Carlos Sainz that hasn't already been said? He's talented, he's handsome, and he's the only man I know who spends more time on his hair than I do."
The room filled with laughter as Carlos nodded in mock pride.
"But seriously, living with Carlos is an adventure," you continued, "He's always talking about smooth operations, but let me tell you, there's nothing smooth about the way he leaves his socks all over the house. It's like living in a minefield of sweaty foot prisons."
Carlos threw his head back in laughter along with the rest of the guests.
"And don't even get me started on his competitiveness. Everything's a race with this guy. Brushing teeth? Race. Getting dressed? Race. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to overtake me in bed yet!"
The room erupted in cheers and wolf whistles as Carlos turned a shade of red.
"But in all seriousness," your voice softened, "Carlos, you're the most incredible person I know. You're kind, passionate, and you never give up, whether it's on the track or trying to convince me that paella is a breakfast food."
You raised your glass, "To Carlos, the love of my life and the smoothest operator I know. Happy 30th birthday, mi amor. May your future be as bright as your smile and your pit stops be faster than your hair routine."
As you finished, Carlos stood up, his eyes shining with laughter and love. He pulled you into a tight embrace as the room filled with applause and cheers.
"I love you so much," he whispered into your ear, kissing your temple softly.
"Well, folks, I think we've successfully roasted Carlos to a crisp," you said with a grin. "But before we wrap up, I think it's only fair that the birthday boy gets a chance to respond. Carlos, amor, the floor is yours!"
"Wow," he began, his accent thicker than usual, "I'm not sure whether to feel honored or insulted. But I guess that's the point of a roast, right?" He paused as chuckles rippled through the room. "First off, I want to thank all of you for being here. It means a lot that you'd all take time out of your busy schedules to come and insult me."
Carlos thanked each of his friends with a blend of humor and sincerity, making everyone laugh. He playfully teased Charles about making him look good on track, jested with Lando about the success of his Spanish pickup lines with you, and expressed gratitude to Fernando for his mentorship while vowing to become the best Sainz in motorsports.
"And finally, to my beautiful girlfriend," Carlos's voice softened as he looked at you, "Thank you for organizing this amazing night, and for putting up with me every day. You're the real smooth operator here."
The room erupted in cheers and applause as Carlos stepped down from the stage. You met him halfway, wrapping your arms around him in a tight hug once again.
"Happy birthday, amor," you whispered in his ear, pulling away to kiss him softly.

If You Asked Me Now

Pairing: Photographer!Bucky x Wedding Planner!Reader
Summary: Years after separating for college, you reunite with Bucky while coincidentally working the same wedding.
Word Count: 2.1k
Warnings: emotional yearning; unresolved feelings; separation and reconnection after time apart
Author’s Note: This did make me a little sad and it’s kind of bittersweet. It was such a lovely request, my dear! Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy what I did with it ♡
2k Drabble Challenge Masterlist | Masterlist

You haven’t seen him in years.
Years of quiet. Of near-misses and almost-texts. Of birthdays remembered but never acknowledged. Of photos in your camera roll you never deleted. The ache of what-if constricting your chest during long nights spent planning other people’s happy endings.
You arrived early at the venue. It’s a private estate nestled against the shoreline of a serene lake. It’s beautiful in the kind of way that makes you breathe deeper. Light filters through the canopy like it’s blessing your skin, and you set down your clipboard, your bag, your weight.
You were made for this. Checklists. Contingency plans. Love stories that bloom under your careful curation.
But nothing in your planner, your script, your color-coded schedule has prepared you for the moment you turn around and see him.
Bucky Barnes.
Yes, it has been years since you saw him, but the sight of him still floods your chest like an old song you thought you'd forgotten, all the lyrics rushing back in the shape of his shoulders.
He is older. Broader. The kind of handsome that takes your breath in one hand and never gives it back. He’s wearing black, of course. Camera slung over one shoulder, coffee in one hand.
Your name is still caught in his mouth. He hasn’t said it yet.
Neither of you prepared for this kind of reunion.
You stare at each other from opposite ends of the sunlit ballroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Cream curtains. Gold accents. Love dripping off the walls as if it’s something that can be bottled and sold.
You were just here to meet the photographer.
You didn’t know the photographer would have blue eyes and a constellation of freckles you used to trace with your thumb. You didn’t know the photographer would be him.
You don’t move.
Neither does he.
The silence wants to say everything.
Then he smiles.
God. It’s not fair.
“Y/n,” he says. Just that. Soft, stunned.
And you’re trying to remember how to breathe around it. Around him. Around all the versions of him you’ve stored away in boxes you swore you’d never open again.
“Hey,” you say. It cracks on the way out, as though your voice wasn’t ready to time travel.
He walks toward you slowly, as if he might look at an illusion. And your feet stay planted, but your heart is already halfway across the room, tumbling back through years of memories that never got the closure they deserved.
“You’re the planner?” he asks, stopping just short of touching distance. His voice is warmer now. Familiar. It scrapes against the softest part of you.
You nod. It’s a little slow. Disbelieving. “And I assume you’re the photographer.”
You were seventeen the last time he looked at you like this.
As if he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the right shape for it.
Back then, it was rooftop talks and shared playlists. Passing notes between classes. His jacket draped over your shoulders when the gym got too cold.
And then came college. Different states. Different lives. The slow collapse of something you thought might survive anything.
You tried to move on.
You even believed that you had.
But now he’s here.
And everything you’ve buried rises as if it’s been waiting for air.
A beat.
A laugh.
Of course. Of course, the universe would do this.
Bucky runs a hand through his hair. It’s shorter than it was in high school, but it still curls a little at the ends when it rains. You remember that. You remember too much.
“God, you look great,” he notes, voice quiet, reminiscent.
You take a breath long enough to gather the pieces of you that almost shattered on the spot. “You do too,” you state, voice quiet as well. And he laughs again. Softer. Sadder.
You’re supposed to be here to talk centerpieces and lighting, to walk the venue, and decide where the bride and groom should take their first look photos.
Instead, you’re here suppressing all the words you wanted to say many years ago.
Instead, you’re here looking at him like you used to - like maybe, if you just held eye contact long enough, he’d kiss you again and this time he wouldn’t stop.
But this isn’t about you and him. This is about someone else’s love story.
Still, he looks at you as though maybe it could be.
“I didn’t know you were a photographer,” you state, your voice too light, too casual, as though it’s not balancing on the edge of something steep.
“I didn’t know you were a wedding planner.”
Touché.
He grins. God, that smile. The same crooked thing he used to flash at you during chemistry class when he didn’t understand the homework.
“Guess we both ended up in the business of love,” he says with that smile on his face.
You laugh. And hate how much it sounds like home.
He exhales profoundly, sweeping his eyes over your form and not even being subtle about it.
“I thought I might never see you again,” he says, and the words punch your ribcage. “I didn’t even know you were back in the city.”
“I wasn’t for a while,” you answer, trying to keep your tone casual. “But I guess weddings pull people back.” You laugh a little, though it’s rather breathless.
His grin is going to kill you. You remember it melting behind cafeteria tables and prom night lights.
“You always loved weddings,” he says softly.
You shrug, but there is heat running along your spine. “They’re honest, I guess.”
His eyes fall down to your hands. Again, not at all subtle. “Are you..?” His voice is rough. It seems he doesn’t want to say it out loud.
“No,” you answer quickly. “Just me. Just work. You?”
He shakes his head. There is relief in his stance. In his shoulders. In his voice. In his eyes. “Nah. Don’t really have the time.”
And then the silence comes back. Not heavy but waiting.
You move toward the nearest table, brushing your fingers along the edge of the centerpiece, needing to touch something, needing to start working.
You hear the click of his camera powering on.
He raises it, almost instinctively, rubbing the back of his neck before looking at you. “Can I?”
You blink. “What, take a photo?”
He nods. “I just- I want to remember this. You. Right now.”
You smirk just slightly. “So you’d forget without proof?”
Bucky’s eyes widen a little, but there is amusement glinting in his eyes. “No,” he states quickly. “‘Course not, doll,” he adds, and it seems there’s more he wants to say but he holds himself back with a bashful laugh.
But your breathing stops.
Doll.
The word falls from his mouth as if it never left. As if it hadn’t been said in years. As if he’s been saying it to ghosts all this time. As if your name has always tasted like that in his mouth - sweetened, softened, spun from golden-hour sunlight and inside jokes.
It doesn’t feel like a nickname. It feels like a door. Like a memory with a heartbeat. Like a piece of you just came home.
Because he used to say it all the time. In the hallways. After school. In the backseat of his beat-up car when your knees knocked together and the radio was too loud to hear your doubts. Hey, doll, you gonna come over tonight? Doll, you wanna split this? Come here, doll, you’re shiverin’.
He used to say it as though it’s something only you get to keep, only you get to hear. As though it’s the punctuation on every sentence you didn’t know how to finish.
And now here he is - older, broader, a little more worn in the eyes - but the word leaves his lips just the same. As if no time has passed. As if yesterday was senior prom and you were still dancing around the fact that you were in love with your best friend.
You want to say something clever. You want to laugh. Tease him. Pretend the name doesn’t matter. But it matters.
Because you’re standing in the middle of someone else’s love story, watching yours try to resurrect itself with just one syllable.
He raises his camera again, and his focused gaze cracks you right open. They’re not just blue. They’re saturated with something so much more. Like time. Like regret. Like the gravity of everything you both lost. “So, can I? Please?”
He takes a step closer. You don’t move. He’s so close you can smell his cologne now - clean, familiar, like something that never stopped lingering in your hoodie pockets long after you separated for college.
You should perhaps say no.
But the way he’s looking at you is not passive. It’s not casual.
It’s not I used to love you once.
It’s I never stopped.
There’s something so naked behind his expression it almost hurts to look at. Not just nostalgia. Not just old affection brushed off and made shiny again.
It’s hope. Hope with teeth and longing with roots and a trembling determination that seems like a vow unspoken.
You stand there, still in your wedding planner blazer and sensible shoes, and you let him see you again. Through the lens. Through the silence. Through all the almosts that never turned into certainties.
The shutter clicks.
And somehow it sounds like a beginning.
****
The couple is everywhere.
Their laughter echoes through the venue like a ribbon tied to the air, fluttering in the spaces Bucky and you fill with silence. Their fingers never stop finding each other. Their glances are magnetic, drenched in the kind of affection that dares you to look away.
They’re in the garden now, tangled in rosebushes and evening light, whispering to one another, words you’ll never know but feel anyway - like music under your skin.
Bucky photographs them while you hold the bouquet just out of frame. You try to steady your hand but your fingers are trembling. Your heart won’t behave.
And Bucky’s beside you.
He smells like pine and memory and the warmest part of the past.
You catch him smiling at the soon-to-be newlyweds through his lens and feel something strange twist behind your ribs. Because he’s good at capturing love and he does it with care. As if love is art and he’s always believed in it.
And he’s looking at them the way you used to look at him.
Then he looks at you.
And the moment snaps - clean and quick like a shutter - but it leaves an imprint.
Like film exposed to light.
Like maybe you’re still visible underneath all this distance.
You turn away too fast. Pretend to fix the placement of the aisle candles. Pretend you’re not sweating under the weight of all the things left unsaid. Pretend your heart didn’t flinch when he said doll as if it belongs to you again.
You tell yourself this is just work.
That you’ll be working with him for the next six weeks.
Six weeks of tasting and timelines and floral arrangements.
Six weeks of sharing air and avoiding eyes.
Six weeks of watching someone else’s love swell and bloom while yours sits quietly in your chest, half-buried but not dead. Never dead.
You’ll have to stand in the middle of it all.
The wedding dress fittings.
The first dance rehearsals.
The vows.
The goddamn vows.
And all the while, Bucky will be there. Photographing every moment. Documenting devotion while you wonder what it would’ve felt like to have it with him.
Because how cruel is it to work inside the machinery of love? To build it for others, beautifully, meticulously, while your own version sits on the sidelines, full of maybes?
How cruel is it to be surrounded by all this promise, all this soft forever, while the only person you’ve ever really wanted to say I do to is standing three feet away, adjusting his camera strap as though it isn’t slicing into your heart?
You breathe. You swallow down the pain. You make a note in your planner.
Tomorrow: cake testing. With the couple. With Bucky.
More love. More smiles. More of him.
God, how do you survive this?
And then you look up again and Bucky is already watching you.
Not the couple.
Not the shot.
You.
As if he is wondering the same thing.
As if maybe he’s not surviving this either.

Hiii! Can you make general Sylus HCs?? Fluff ones though! YOURE LIKE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR OMG LIKEEEE THE FLUFF MAKES MY HEART SIMPLY M E L T !
Sylus Headcanons- Love And DeepSpace
a/n: omg anon you're so sweet thank you so much ♡´・ᴗ・`♡ i hope you'll like this and i hope this is okay!! <3
any likes and reblogs are always appreciated! enjoy! <3
genre: fluff fluff

⋆。‧˚ʚ♡ɞ˚‧。⋆
General Headcanons ˎˊ˗
This man is big everywhere. If you have or seen the memory of Within Reach you know what I'm talking about. Since he has quite a large build in height and muscle, he probably has trouble finding clothing in his size in store. Sleeves would be too short or pants would be too tight so often he would have to get them tailored but it's fine because he has all the money in the world.
This man is 6'2. Since he's tall, mirrors can cut off your head or usually shower heads are mounted too low so he would have to crouch down often. But later on he took down any small mirrors and adjusted the shower to his height for his liking.
Would try to eat a healthy balance meal 3 times a day unless work got in the way. He also probably has the best skincare routine ever. He would have cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and different types of sunscreens for morning or even at night.
In Tender Curve, he mentions he's there to feed a cat. Whenever he has the time he'll leave cat food outside for any strays. He has no time to take care of any pets and also Mephisto would squawk at him nonstop with jealously.
He probably thought he would never sing in his life until Luke and Kieran 'pestered' him to try it out in the karaoke room. He thought why not he had nothing else to do. He would lose track of time due to Luke and Kieran cheering him on. So if being the Onychinus's Leader never works out he figures he can be an idol in the future.
The type to accept any business as long as it's near your location whether it work or you have things to do in that area. How would he know your location? You would have your location posted on your moments and sometimes Luke and Kieran talk about you a lot. He would use any business matter to talk to you and ask if you can help him with any errands.
Relationship Headcanons ˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗
Sometimes he'll let Mephisto spy on you and update him on what you like to eat so he can learn how to cook it for you when he doesn't have the personal chef around. He likes trying new recipes and you are always there to try them or help him make it. Would love it when you would hug him behind while he's in the kitchen cooking or the other way around.
Not super big on PDA especially in the N109 zone but will do gestures like his hand on your lower back or his arm around your waist. But in private he would be a lot more affectionate. In the car, he loves having one of his hands intertwined with yours as it rests on your lap while his other hand is on the wheel. Lots of forehead kisses. Sometimes would tease you because of your height difference and make you try to reach him to kiss him on his lips. Eventually he'll crouch down to kiss you after watching you struggle.
If anything were to upset you, he'll always be there to listen and to comfort you. He'll hold your hand or wrap and arm around your waist, rubbing soothing small circles reassuring you on whatever the issue is or helping you find a solution to whatever the problem is. If it was anyone that bothered you, they might want to sleep with one eye open.
He's also kinda silly. When you walk in his bathroom while he's shaving, he'll put some of the cream on your nose because he thinks your reaction would be funny.
Would always have an outfit to have for you to match with him in a business meeting. But if you wanted a different outfit he would find something to match with you that way everyone knows that you two are together.
He's extremely thoughtful. He remembers even the smallest details you have mentioned to him. He'll always find the perfect gift to give you on anniversaries or birthdays.
What's his becomes yours. You want his clothes even though they might be too big for you? Take the whole closet. He'll find his clothing in your fitting quite adorable actually. He'll even give you keys to his armory, he has many so choose whatever you want. He even let's you have Luke and Kieran as your henchmen too as long as he gets to have them back for work.

yan! ex husband (pt. 2)
was supposed to write something on Wednesday but i was still sick. i think i have the worst luck since june came but i am feeling a lot better now. i was almost sent to the hospital but it's a good thing, i wasn't. here is the update for you guys, sorry for the long wait.
He's crazy.
You looked as he gripped on the divorce papers with so much ferocity that you had ever seen him. He's diligently and quickly reading the fine print as his hands shake from gripping on it. It feels as though you are watching a man descend to madness.
It made you step back away from him.
Then, the paper falls from his grip.
You took one step back further.
"I..." He started. "No... Why?" Now, he is staring at you like you had wronged him when he is the one who left you hanging for years!
"Just sign it."
"No!" He looked at you with pleading eyes. "I can still fix this. What do I need to do? Do I need to earn more? Spend money on you? What should I do?"
You took a deep breath before looking at him with cold eyes. "Nothing."
"Nothing...?" He repeated softly.
"I don't need anything from you." You stated. "Just sign it."
"But... I..." He looked down at the paper, tears slowly filling up in his eyes.
You gave him a little push as you bent down in front of him, giving him the pen and pushing the divorce papers in his face. "C'mon, sign this as a last token of your appreciation for me."
Holding his shaking hand towards the paper, you gave him a smile as he stared at you through his tears. "I..."
"If you still have love left inside your heart, sign the paper."
That was the last time you ever saw him. As soon as he signed his signature, you dropped your smile and left him. Not before telling him your parting words.
"We shouldn't have wasted our time together." You didn't turn back to look at him. "Especially when you only think for yourself."
It's over.
He repeated those words in his mind again and again as he was left hanging at your shared apartment. The pen that he used to sign your divorce paper was left forgotten in the ground. He could only stare emotionless at the wall as he slowly processed what had happened to him.
It's over.
He had arrived at home from his residency. Early for change and excited to rest and spend time with you. He's eager to try your cooking after years of hospital food.
It's over.
He could hear his own breathing.
He could still feel the tears in his face.
He could barely move.
He could remember your face for the last time.
It's over.
Time must've passed by, the window no longer emitted the light from the sun but he still remain on his place as he thought back on how could he fucked up.
He didn't cheat.
He didn't do anything wrong.
He is always there for you.
There's no reason for divorce.
It's over.
He doesn't know what day it is. But, he had managed to find strength to move and go to work because you wouldn't want a useless husband, right?
This… this will pass.
You will be back and everything will be okay.
It's not over yet.
He doesn't really remember what actually happened. He looked at the spot next to his side of the bed, wondering when you would be home. He shrugged, laying on his side as he hugged your pillow to make up for your lack of presence.
(He also doesn't remember when was the last time you two had a date.)
(He also doesn't remember when it was your birthday and your anniversary.)
(He also doesn't remember what your job is.)
(He also doesn't remember your favorite music as of late.)
(He doesn't remember if you bought a new book and a new plushie.)
(He doesn't remember what your current comfort food.)
He went to sleep, not remembering a thing.
It hits him that you weren't coming back when he saw you at a cafe in a different part of the country. He was at a seminar when caught wind of you and almost called your name when he saw you with another person.
So, he watched you in the distance as he greedily tried to memorize your current appearance.
Then, he remembered.
Suddenly, he felt he was in your shared apartment again —on the floor, crying for you.
He remembered that you weren't coming back to him.
That's fine.
He continued to observe you. The lease for your shared apartment is expiring soon, he had already bought a house for the both of you. It will not trouble him trying to talk sense to you. He won't be an absent husband —he changed, he will take care of you now. He learned his lessons.
It's time for you to go back to him, please.
He followed you when you parted ways with your little friend. He will take care of that guy later but he needs to take care of you first.
Lovingly.
He slowly and cautiously walked towards you. Appearing harmless to you with a smile and a wave.
“Hey,” he greeted you.
He soaked up all of your attention as your eyes widened in surprise.
“What are you doing here?” You glared at him.
He put his arms up as if to show you he means no harm. “I have a seminar in this area.”
You glared more.
“I was surprised to see you so I figured I could go and say my greetings to you.”
“Well you already did,” you snapped back at him. “Leave.”
“Let’s catch up first, darling.” He purred. “I have words to say to you.”
“Leave.”
“Don't be heartless.” He quipped. “It reminded me of the time you forced me to sign out divorce papers.”
You are always smart, aren't you? He chuckled as he watched your expression drop into nervousness while still staring at him with such intense eyes.
But, he knows you.
You wouldn't dare cause a scene in public.
“Fine. I am picking where we are going.”
He smiled even wider when you scoffed at him.
So cute.
He would not let you go now.

- RADIO
Natalie Scatorccio x reader
“She wishes you were playing on the radio”
Genre – fluff? Warnings – pre crash (most of the time)
Now playing – Scary Love, by The Neighbourhood
"Your love is scaring me, no one has ever cared for me as much as you do"

You ran through the streets, your black converse making the rainwater on the ground splash lightly on your girlfriend's boots. The brunette laughed at your haste, not understanding where exactly you were taking her, but she would follow you wherever you went.
You were the only thing that kept Nat from going crazy in this shitty town. She could always think of how you were always kind and calm, how you always managed to leave her in a state of tranquillity and comfort that she had never had in her entire life.
She always forgets all her problems if she has you by her side.
Like now, you have a firm grip on her hand as you run through the streets, dodging some of the people passing by. As soon as Nat's training session was over, and she came out of the changing rooms, you were there, with your skateboard strapped to your back, a big smile appearing on your face when you saw her.
“Where are you taking me, nerd?” The smile on her face was all the confirmation you needed to know that she was loving it all.
You and Nat didn't have a car, but it was never a problem for either of you to get around. In fact, you felt incredibly free.
“Can't you ever wait for my surprises, Nat?” The confident smile was on your face. And when you stopped and turned to Nat, she really wanted to be able to wipe that little smile off your face with a kiss. “We're here!”
Pointing to the store, Nat concentrated on that for the first time, looking through the glass door before you opened it, making a cheesy sign for her to go in first. The bell that sounded when you opened the door alerted the old man at the till, one of the only men in this town you didn't hate.
“ What's up, Mr. Jones?” You greeted the old man while Nat was too mesmerized by everything to pay attention.
“Hey kid.” He said, waving to you before pointing his head in Nat's direction. “Is that your lucky girl?”
Hearing the old man's words, Nat turned her head towards the two of you, surprised that the man hadn't deduced that you were just friends, or worse, said something offensive.
“Yes, that's her.” You pretended to whisper, making Nat roll her eyes and the old man laugh slightly.
Still watching the interaction, Nat saw you lean against the counter - where the old man was standing - making you seem very intimate with the place.
“You know she's too pretty for you, right?!” The man said, and Nat could see the playful glint in his eyes.
“Like Tommy is for you.”
Laughing, the old man patted Nat on the back. Making Nat - even confused - try to hide a smile that was very close to breaking out.
Leaving the counter, you went over to your girlfriend, pulling her through the shelves full of books, movie tapes and unusual statues to another part of the store. If she was already enchanted before, your girlfriend was amazed when she saw all the vinyl records you were showing her. Every band, every artist, every possible style was there. Nat's eyes didn't seem to follow everything in front of her.
You know your girlfriend was a big music lover, and you'd given her a record player for her last birthday, but you knew she could never find records by the bands she liked, and when she finally did, the price was way above what she could afford.
“Yn, what's all this?” Nat asked, turning in your direction when she finally came out of her second trance.
“Well, remember when I said I got a job?” Seeing her nod, you smiled slightly. “I work here. I thought it was really cool, and I'd thought about bringing you here the same day Mr. Jones gave me the job. But then he showed me this part of the store, he said I'd also be in charge of looking after the records, and that I could buy some at an employee discount, so I thought you...”
Suddenly, your train of thought was cut off by Natalie's lips on yours. You were startled by the sudden movement, but soon relaxed into the tenderness of the kiss. Your girlfriend's lips tasted like strawberry, and you loved that more than anything. Your hands went to the girl's slender waist almost automatically, your muscle memory acting in such a rush that Natalie almost laughed at you. The black-haired girl's arms were entwined around your neck, and you could feel that she was tiptoeing to reach you.
“So...” You said, trying to catch your breath after Natalie's kiss. Opening your eyes, you ran into the clear eyes of your girlfriend, who had her lips between her teeth, trying to hold back a smile that was threatening to escape. “Shall we choose some records?!”

Soft music was playing on the record player in your room, you and Nat knew that she wasn't allowed to sleep in your house, but nothing her parents said was worth more than what you did with her.
“I don't know that band...” You said, running your fingers through her hair.
“I know you don't, you only like the overrated idiots.” She said, smiling at you, letting you know that she was just teasing you.
“You know, I'm going to love watching you try to intimidate me when I'm playing on the radio.” You said, referring to the band you have with your best friends.
Nat always came to all your band's rehearsals, and she knows that you guys would definitely be successful one day. She thought the songs were great, your lyrics were brilliant, and she didn't want to be a snob, but she loved being your muse.
“What? Are you going to have your fans attack me?” Nat leaned in, a sarcastic smile on her face as she came very close to your mouth.
“No, only I can attack you!”
Jumping on top of the brunette, you kissed all over her face, making your girlfriend giggle like a child at the carnival.

Looking at the photo of you that she was carrying, Nat let a solitary tear fall, putting a hand over her mouth so as not to make a sound to any of the girls in the old hut.
The cold of the night mixed with the cold of her heart without you. The blonde doesn't expect you to be waiting for her, if she ever gets rescued. But she wishes you were playing on the radio.

hi guys. No requests this time, it's just me being in love with Nat.
Idk if any Brazilians follow this account, but the plot was inspired by a Brazilian song.
anyway, drink water and stay safe
xoxo, spider

so cover your eyes, i have a surprise

pairings: bf!vernon x fem!reader
genre: fluff, a lil angst
word count: 1.9k
cw: misunderstandings, mention of cheating, mildly suggestive at the end
a/n: another request done for 💌anon ! i feel like the king.... happy late bday to vernon and dokyeom? (it's literally march) creds to @issysh3ll for dividers
[14:08]
vernon was feeling sad, or disappointed, perhaps a mix of both.
it was already 2pm, and you hadn't mentioned his birthday at all.
to be fair, he never made a big deal about it anyway, so maybe he was at fault, but normally you went big about celebrations like this. whether it was him coming back from tour or your anniversary, you always treated him to something.
he wasn't greedy, right? it was his birthday after all... whatever, maybe you took his advice on not splurging on him.
but there's a voice in the back of his head, one that says you just don't care.
[14:45]
"what?! like not anything at all??" seungkwan nearly spits out his coffee when vernon explains his predicament, chan having to force a hand over his mouth and making him swallow before speaking.
chan, seungkwan, and him are all at a cafe after vernon texted their group chat "sos: cafe w the good americano"
sure, maybe 'sos' seems a bit much for this situation, but vernon was about to lose his mind.
"did you do something? maybe she's mad," chan suggests, swirling around his coffee with a mini plastic straw.
"well even if he did do something, which i don't think he has... i feel like at least a birthday text is mandatory? i mean from his own girlfriend" seungkwan says, quick to defend vernon, of course.
"you never know, she doesn't seem like the type to do this for no reason..."
"you've talked to her like maybe 3 times in your life-"
"okay, okay, just stop guys," vernon interrupts, "no, i haven't done anything, i think, but chan's right. she really wouldn't do this for no reason. there's no way she forgot- she was teasing my gift like a month ago," he says, recalling how she had randomly told him to be excited, flaunting her credit card around while he stared at her with a confused expression.
"has she been acting weird? or i don't know, distant?" seungkwan asks with a stern look. vernon's about to deny it, but then he thinks for a second.
the past three days he's asked to come over to your place for your weekly movie night, you've said no. not just a straight up no, you said you had work or something, he doesn't remember okay? but when he thinks about the situation a little more, he wonders if you were avoiding him.
"uh hyung? you good?" chan's waving a hand in his face.
"yeah, i just realized that she has been kinda distant lately, i guess" vernon explains, "but i don't know why? she's just been saying she has to work late and that type of stuff,"
seungkwan and chan both share a look before seungkwan says,
"you know that's something like- how do i say this- cheaters say?"
no one talks for the next minute or so. just complete silence.
"well i don't think he's saying that y/n's cheating," chan tries to relieve the situation, unable to read vernon's facial expression.
"no- don't- why would you say that?" vernon finally gets out in disbelief, all of the sudden looking the most frustrated he's ever been.
he doesn't say anything else, just getting up. "nonnie that's not what i-" and he's out the door.
honestly, he doesn't know why he left. they had a point, but maybe that was the problem, there was a chance they were right. why were you being so weird? it was his birthday, you hadn't texted him all day or come by to see him.
he takes off his beanie runs a hand through his hair, trying to ignore the sudden thought put into his mind.
[16:14]
"hmm, now that i think about it, she didn't say anything to me either!" seokmin says in realization.
it makes vernon somewhat relieved, knowing that he wasn't the only one who you'd avoided today. seokmin's closer to you than vernon's other friends, so it does seem weird that you wouldn't wish him a happy birthday.
vernon knows this isn't a good way to spend his birthday or seokmin's, sitting on his couch while trying to figure what the deal is about his girlfriend, and he honestly feels bad for dragging seokmin down with him, but you hadn't even replied to any of his texts. there has to be something wrong.
"you know who'd know?"
vernon shrugs but then comes up with someone right as seokmin is about to answer,
"jeonghan."
[16:55]
jeonghan doesn't look surprised to see them at his door.
"i was going to drop off your gifts later, but if you wanted them so badly, you could've just asked," he chuckles, ushering them in,
"hyung, that's not what we're here for," seokmin says as he takes off his shoes.
"so you don't want it?"
"wait, i didn't say that,"
vernon makes himself comfortable on the couch while jeonghan and seokmin bicker about the gifts for a little longer. he looks around the place before his eyes settle on some metal thing on the counter.
it's seungkwan's gua sha, and all of the sudden, he's remembering the conversation he had with him and chan earlier.
he's going to have to apologize sooner or later, but it would be worse if seungkwan was right. pulling out his phone, he looks through his messages with you from today, or more like with a wall. you hadn't responded to anything whatsoever.
finally, jeonghan and seokmin sit themselves on either side of vernon.
"okay, i know why you're actually here, seungkwan told me already." jeonghan starts, "he's not here right now because you seemed upset at him," vernon feels a pang of guilt go through him.
"you can't blame him for what he said. y/n hasn't been acting normal in the past few days and she forgets your birthday? i mean if you saw this happening to someone else what would you think?" ugh he was right, but vernon still looks at seokmin in hopes of him backing him up, except seokmin nods along.
"yeah, yeah, i get it, han. but you can't expect me to just accuse her of cheating without real proof."
"hansol, she hasn't even responded to any of your texts,"
"that still doesn't prove anything,"
"then let's go prove it," seokmin suddenly suggests. "let's go to her apartment and find out what she's up to." he gets up and walks straight to the door.
vernon sighs before getting up. he's scared, he has no excuse now. if he sees it, it's real, and that's been his fear this whole day. before he can walk away, jeonghan gets up and puts a hand on his shoulder.
"look, if anything happens, we'll all be here for you, okay?"
vernon nods and follows seokmin out the door.
[17:27]
vernon takes a deep breath and knocks on the door
knock, knock, knock
seokmin puts his ear up to it, listening for any noises like he's in some spy movie.
"someone's moving around in there actually maybe more than one," he comments, "they're getting closer," vernon holds his breath. 1, 2, 3- the door swings open, causing seokmin to nearly fall over since he'd been leaning against it.
"seokmin??" you ask loudly before looking up to meet vernon's eyes. he doesn't know what expression he's making, but he melts the instant he sees you.
"well, you both came earlier than i would've liked, but i guess i can't hide this forever," vernon swallows loudly, hide what? but you don't give him an answer, entering the apartment with seokmin following. when vernon hears him gasp audibly, he goes straight in.
he doesn't know what to expect, the sudden fear of seeing some guy he's never seen before spikes. but when he makes it through the door, it's nowhere near whatever he was thinking of.
the house is dimly lit, string lights hanging from the kitchen all the way to the living room. on the dining table, there's plates of food: pasta, pizza, fruit, you name it. in the living room, there's a blanket laid out on the floor with a couple of pillows with the tv in front of it turned onto netflix.
but more importantly, there are balloons floating, spelling out 'happy birthday 218 bros' and the whole of seventeen standing under it with one of them holding a cake.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they all shout.
"holy shi-" is the only thing vernon gets out before him and seokmin are being surrounded by everyone. somehow, you manage to get ahold of him, giving him a tight hug, "i got you good, didn't i?" you say, smirking. he doesn't even argue against it, hugging you back tightly, "you scared me so bad, baby. i was going to have a heart attack,"
you laugh, "yeah, seungkwan and chan told me all about that," vernon looks around for the culprits. he sees them both looking straight at him with absolutely devious grins. "i can't believe that worked! we're such good actors!" they both high five each other.
"that's not fair! you literally accused my girlfriend of cheating and then made me feel bad about it!" vernon whines, still not letting go of you. "honestly, i would've thought the same thing as them if i was in this situation," you say, laughing again.
"when'd you get so evil? speaking of that, did jeonghan know too? he was still at his apartment when-" and as if on some very cliché cue, jeonghan walks in after being let in by joshua.
"i read you two so well! i knew you'd come to me," jeonghan boasts before mingyu argues, "didn't i suggest that?" and then more chaos commences.
[23:04]
after you finally usher a drunk hoshi and jun out of your apartment, you walk over to vernon. he's standing behind you, previously waving his goodbyes to the members, but now he's just in pure disbelief.
he can't believe he just got pranked by not only his girlfriend, but by his members, together. he swore you were never that close with them.
"happy birthday, babe," you tell him, giving him a kiss. "sorry for not texting you today, minghao suggested it," well, that makes some sort of sense.
"was this why you said no to movie night three days in a row?" vernon asks, wrapping his arms around you tightly, trapping you. "look, these lights took forever to hang up. i had to ask wonwoo and seungcheol to help me," you explain, looking up at the small bulbs of light.
"was it worth it?"
"hm?" you hum
"absolutely torturing me! i seriously thought you were cheating, but now that you're here, it's time to get my payback," he says, before taking his hands to your sides and tickling you. you laugh loudly as he tackles you on the couch.
[00:32]
now, you and vernon are in bed, somehow still awake, cuddling while he talks about his 'stressful' day as you explain how you planned it all.
"really? i can't believe i fell for that still," he mumbles, amazed by how elaborate your plan was.
"oh wait, i got you a gift," you say, sitting up. "what? y/n, seriously this was already way too much," he interrupts you, hugging you from behind.
"just let me go get it," you try, but his hold is too strong. "give it to me later, you've left me enough," he whines, making you roll your eyes, but you comply, relaxing in his arms.
"i didn't mean to scare you that much today, that's my bad." you apologize for what seems to be the hundredth time.
"stop apologizing," he says, turning you over to face him, "how about you make it up to me?"
"how so?" you reply. fingers already toying with his shirt before he just pulls it off. he doesn't answer, just looking at you for a moment before pulling you in for a hungry kiss that you both know will turn into a long night.

I Got You On My Radar, Soon You're Gonna Be With Me, "Strategy" By TWICE
Creds to @dollywons for the dividers
This will have a lot of POV switches so get ready 😀
(This has a mother!darling and a daughter!darling, and they are separate from the reader- unless you decide they aren’t 😍😍)
gn!reader (if I accidentally make them seem too feminine, I’m sorry 😞)
Next chapter I'm going to make [name] crash out but not for the reason you think (hopefully not the reason you think)
So Much More.
Pt. 1 Pt.2
Alfred's POV
I couldn't say if I have a favorite among the Wayne family. I've served them for years even now in my old age. Left my own child, Julia, to train to be at my side, servicing the Waynes.
If you had to ask me to narrow down who was my favorite though, it would have to be young master, [name].
They aren't trained to be assassins, vigilantes, or even able to tame feral animals, instead, they excel in normal activities. I remember the first time they approached Master Burce, eyes that had stars glow in them. They wanted to invite Master Bruce to a ballet recital. They danced with such grace and perfection that many had asked them to continue the said sport. Professionally.
However, they had no time to spare as they raced down to see me, looking around frantically, and excitedly, it hurt my heart to see their eyes dim down so quickly after finding out that unfortunately none of their family had come.
Undeterred, they kept trying figure skating, football (soccer), and volleyball. They'd try the music pathway once they noticed sports didn't work. They excused the absences starting with opera since "opera was boring and easy anyway; maybe instruments are more interesting." They tried the violin, cello, organ, and harp. Still nothing.
Of course, it wasn't just these events that the family missed out on, it was also their birthdays, trophy events, everything. I could only try to support them on the side.
They were a gifted child, one, that had a fire burn so brightly. Till it wasn't.
They never stopped doing the activities, but you could tell they no longer cared if the family attended. I'd go and make excuses for them, and they would brush it off.
Then it seemed they had that fire extinguished when Lady [M/D] and Misstress [D/D] came into the picture.
I could only do so much as I wasn't their personal butler.
Then a day ago was their graduation. I believed I could make it, but the circumstances were too busy and important to go to the graduation. So, today, I hope I can make it up with cupcakes. Today is their birthday.
Imagine, my surprise when they started crying, how I felt such guilt, was it the missed events, or even bigger, the graduation?
None of that. They only said how thankful they were for me. I tried to spend the rest of the evening with them, but it just ended up with me being called to see [D/D] with a new animal. I didn't want to leave them.
I had to though, that is my duty as a butler. To serve my masters.
Another perk about [name] though was how understanding they were.
I should've seen the signs.
A smile and nod gave me all I needed to know that they were going to be okay if I left.
After a long day, I went back to my quarters, to see an envelope.
Sealed in wax with a Lotus flower imprinted on it.
Opening it up and reading the contents made numerous thoughts run rapidly in my mind.
Dear, Alfred
I can only hope this news doesn't affect you in any way. I simply couldn't find it in my heart to tell you in person. I'll be leaving the manor. I've left many things in my room that I hope you mind leaving in there. I don't want years of my work to go down the drain, as you see they hold memorial and sentimental value to me.
That's beside the point, Alfie, you mean the world to me. I don't think I could've made it this far without you. There were days I thought of quitting. Seeing your approval was enough for me to keep pushing myself. Alfie, you are the most capable person I've ever seen in anything. This is why I know my disappearance will help you more by taking the unneeded burden off your shoulders.
Alfie, I hope that when I make a name for myself, you will still look at me with such fondness that makes me feel like a child again, clinging onto you like my last hope, as you always have been. Take of yourself, as that is the most important thing about this message. You matter too much for me to ever forget or let go of you, whether it be through memory or anything else.
With love and appreciation,
[name] [last name]
I re-read that letter, over and over again.
True to their words I never saw them again, but they were wrong about one thing.
They were never a burden on my shoulders. Far from it. They felt like- my child, I raised them up and felt proud of the achievements they managed to get on their own.
I knew I had to understand. It was their choice. One that I didn't want to respect. I wanted to drag them back, but with no leads, how does one even do such a thing?
My only choice was to read their entries and watch recordings they did for themselves to look back on.
But that doesn't do the trick, does it?
I'll find a strategy to bring you back young master, I promise.
Journal 7th
(Entry #1)
I'm going into the 7th grade this year. Honestly, everything sucks. I wish to give up. Alfie has been busy since those two new people came into the house. They seem that they don't want to be here. Honestly, relatable.
Alfie tries but he can never understand me. (GUYS THIS WAS THEIR EMO PHASE, it's so unrealistic 😭)
I have to go, I have an ice skating competition to go to.
(Entry #45)
How is this fair!!! This is so sickening.
I've tried everything and what do I get?! NOTHING.
NoW I'm writing all sloppy! Forget it who says I even need their dumb attention!
Here comes waltzing in this mother-daughter duo!
"Oh~, I don't want you guys"
"But we're obsessed with you!"
WELL SCREW ALL OF YOU GUYS.
SIGNING OFF,
[name] [last name]
Journal 9th
(Entry #1)
It's been two years since [M/D] and [D/D] have entered the manor.
Despite what I wrote somewhere in my old journal, I don't hate them. If anything I feel pity for them. They do something that the family doesn't like and it is like their babies that did something wrong.
Not to mention Damian is always monitoring [D/D] at school and it doesn't help that not even the soundproof wall can block off the sound of Mr. Wayne and [M/D].
It's worse at home than before the family would be busy off doing whatever vigilantes do.
Also, it didn't take a while to find that out. As a kid, I thought they were playing dress-up without me. We'll ignore that though.
Anyway, now as soon as their done doing whatever they're to save the city they rush home to smother those two.
I'm starting high school soon. Slowly I'm changing my style so my hair, and clothing. The hoodie phase was... something.
Anyway
Yours truly,
[name] [last name].
Closing the entries, my thoughts are once again interrupted.
"Where's big sibling [name]?" a child/teenager approached me.
This would be [D/D] with a python on her shoulder.
"They're gone, young mistress." I kneeled down to her height.
"Gone?" The tone was menacingly, annoyed. You could hear the python hissing in agreement with his owner.
[D/D]'s POV
I hated how this family held me in such a possessive and obsessive way, but now I think I understand them.
How could I not when staring at [name]?
My precious sibling. If anything I do have something I appreciate this family for, but if I told them they'd probably annoy me even more, they ignored [name] allowing me to be their one true sibling.
They were special compared to everyone else in this whole world.
It sucked every second, moment, that I didn't spend with them. They give the best cuddles anyone could ask for, and they smelled so good.
I also liked their room, it was so ethereal sometimes. Mostly because they were in there but also because they had customized it perfectly, the decorations. I loved the figurines, the Hironos and Smiskis, the most.
However, the most important thing was the scent.
Did I mention that?
When I had first met them it had been a week since I got kidnapped to this god-awful place, I kept getting smothered and needed to just- get away from it all.
I felt so overwhelmed.
Then they walked in front of me, in this, from what I had assumed, abandoned hallway. It freaked me out and I asked what they were doing in this hallway as I was guessing that his hallway would be closed off or something.
"What are you doing here?! Did one of the freaks send you!?" I directed my anger at them since it would only make sense why I'd encounter them.
"What are you talking about? This is my 'wing' of the house, my room is right over there." They had made a confused face at me.
I felt embarrassed but I shook my head not believing them.
"Are you making this up? Listen as much as I don't want to admit this the only people who are living here are my family and Alfred, the only butler. You certainly can't be a part of this family with that attire, and not once has anyone mentioned you." I looked at them up and down.
"I get that a lot, well not really, I don't talk to anyone other than Alfie." Alfie?
"I'm [name] [la- Wayne. I think I'm older than Duke, so I'd be older than you. We don't really interact..."
"Oh, so you're my sibling." Weird her reaction was normal meeting me... "Well don't bother me like the rest of them." I stuck my head up, glancing at them, which wasn't as they were taller than me by a lot."
"The rest of them?"
"Yeah, they're so annoying, you're cool, for now. But they constantly bother me, going on and on about how I'm their precious little sister, boasting their love to me, notice all the jewelry? That's from them." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh." Their tone had changed seemed distance and the way their eyes sharpened, I didn't even notice.
"You know, I like you, you're perfect, want to hang out?" I batted my eyes at them. Something I wouldn't do in front of the others, they just gush over it.
"I'm busy." They answered shortly, already making their way out.
That made me frown.
"Busy? Doing what? I could join you."
"I'd rather you not, I have a performance to do and have no time to waste."
After that moment I would notice them more and more, that even a second not seeing them felt like my world was dying just to be fixed seeing them at the library. They Looked So Cool!
Flipping through a book, typing faster than my eyes could track, and their note-taking, gosh, that handwriting.
Just to be dragged away by that annoying pest, Damian, he'd be like "Good, you're in the library, I have a bunch of books that we can read together.
No, Damian, I don't want to.
I think I also grew on them, a wee bit.
Not to mention, my pets loved them, even more than they loved me sometimes, ungrateful 🙄.
Then one time, I wanted to skip school, and I knew none of the family would let me, even my mom! She would let me do anything to spite the family but not this, as she deemed education important.
So I maybe, sorta, kind of took [name]'s phone number at one point and called them up.
Damian wasn't near me at the moment. Thank Christ, since we attended the same school, same grade, and everything.
They showed up, sighing, they looked so cool with their windbreaker jacket, those s0ny headphones, the pants, the shoes, and that cool instrument case on their back!
They told the principal that they were my babysitter. Like c'mon, we're siblings. Signed their name really fancy and took me in the car.
One of the best memories as they allowed me to watch them practice at their school as long as I didn't bother them.
So I'm a bit peeved at the news I received today from Alfred.
"Gone?" Seems Copperhead agreed.
My head was reeling as a few days passed and my mom seemed to notice (so did everyone else but who cares about them)
I'll have you on my radar soon, my sweet-hearted [name].
"Honey, is something wrong?" She showed concern.
"Of course not, darling-" Father got cut off
"Not you, [D/D]."
"[name] up and left me" I could feel myself deteriorating even more at that sentiment I just said.
"They what?!" Mom seemed to explode at that moment. Her aura suffocating.
[M/D]'s POV
I had no choice; it was by some coincidence that I bumped into Bruce again. In some way, he tricked me, more like manipulated me into marrying him.
It was hard to adapt, of course, it was, somehow my daughter got used to it quicker than me, every time I did something simple one of the kids, those poor traumatized kids would ask to help me. At first, I didn't mind but they did become overbearing just like Bruce.
Don't get me wrong, they've somehow wormed their way into my heart even that dang handsome Bruce, which makes me show signs of Stockholm syndrome, but therapy is not something I need right now.
Though, they could never top [name].
They reminded me of the woman I met through Bruce, and how she was perfect.
So when I found out that she had a child, I couldn't be even more excited to meet her child, [name].
Even though they had no supporters, even one speck of some kind of light kept them going.
I love my daughter [D/D], but she gave up on doing anything used to being spoiled. That just makes me want to spoil her more though.
[name] did many things. I got an invitation to an ice skating competition. Alfred had handed me two tickets.
"Master [name] would appreciate it if you came to her competition, Lady Wayne." Alfred bowed before leaving."
"Woah!~ [name] ice skates?" [D/D] had stars in her eyes.
"Would you like to attend, sweetheart?" I patted her head.
"Anything to get away from home! Though one of my siblings will bother me again." [D/D] pouted.
True to her words we were delayed to the competition.
The sight that we witnessed though, well, I couldn't even describe it.
"Woah~! They did it! They did the triple axel!"
"Okay, but we all know they could've done a quad axel."
"Shut it, Coral, you got disqualified in figure skating when you were 5 years ago, you don't even know how to figure- much less ice skate anymore."
Apparently, the Axel move was one of the hardest moves to pull.
As they made their way off the podium and to Alfred, they smiled understandably as he made excuses for the Wayne household.
"Congratulations [name]!" [D/D] cheered, it made their smile drop for a moment, I didn't notice though, too enamored by their frame.
"Yes, congrats, I didn't know you had such a talent for ice skating." I gave them a bouquet of roses, which I have to thank that dang Bruce for, or else I would've had nothing to give them.
"Figure skating, but thank you." She accepted the flowers before motioning to Alfred that they were going away.
I was going to stop them, but my phone was getting flooded with messages, and when I looked over [D/D] phone was no different.
"Ah! So annoying! I didn't even get to say bye to [name]!" [D/D] had ruffled her hair out of agitation.
Year after year, my schedule got busy and I could never see them that much.
So tell me why, why in the world did my world have to crash and burn during this dinner that seemed to be perfect.
It even had scallop butre.
"Honey, is something wrong?" I was concerned. [D/D] had been in a bad mood all week.
"Of course not, darling-" Bruce got cut off by me.
"Not you, [D/D]."
"[name] up and left me"
"They what?!" I slammed my hand on the table.
"G-gone? What in the world are you talking about, angel?!" I tried to reason.
"They moved! Left! No one knows where though!" [D/D] cried shoving a piece of food into her mouth. Damian scolded her and tried to pat her back before getting his hand slapped away.
"Calm down." Dick went over to calm [D/D] down and Cassandra went over to rub my arm to console me.
"[name]? Darling, who is that." He chuckled, in that stupid possessive way, which would've made me drop this but this was his child!
"Your child! Yours! Remember! The one that has all the trophies!?"
"Trophies?" Tim chimed in.
"don't worry mom, They aren't that many trophies I've earned," Jason added in.
For god sake you pricks! Are any of your names, [name]?!
"I think they are referring to [name] [lastname], masters." Alfred brought out the dessert, his thoughts seemed to also be clouded.
Realization seemed to hit, starting off with Bruce and then spreading.
Who cares about them though.
Don't worry [name], soon you're gonna be with me.
Guys were already making our schedules for next year and being an academic weapon I am I signed up for all Ap.
Junior year is going to kick my ass.

I still have to make a proper playlist for this fic BUT a little song rec - I listened to Stay With Me from Miki Matsubara while writing this chapter!! kinda cliche but it makes me feel nostalgic and those are the correct vibes for this one. 🤓 Enjoy <3

One year, zero failures.
Twenty five commissions. Millions of berries in profit to the Scarpia safes.
And finally – five days of freedom.
In the Scarpia family, you couldn’t ask for things. You negotiated. Everything was transactional; that was the soul of the business. To get something, you must give something in return. Different things had different prices.
The cost of your little unsupervised vacation was absolute and obedient hard work. No more running away, no more slacking off, no complaining… instead, improving in every area that mattered to be a better assassin. You took commissions, excelled in training and tests, attended Landon’s classes without fail.
All so you could get what you wanted on your birthday.
It wasn’t an expensive request, but you knew that it costed much more than anything your brothers ever asked for – much more than Urso’s cannon that was exclusive to Marine warships, Saqr’s golden armor armor or Crowley’s actual warship with a full crew. Five days of being away, not being followed by anyone from the family, no questions asked? That was a lot. And so, the price to pay for that was high.
But you payed anyway. Payed splendidly. So your father had to honor the deal.
And finally, after a year, there you were climbing Mt. Colubo again.
You were excitedly making your way up the hill – running, to be honest. It wasn’t hard to remember the specific hill you agreed to meet; you had an awfully good memory for some reason. Your heart beat faster with each step in both excitement and worry. What if he forgot about you? What if he missed the date? You didn’t know where Luffy lived, so you wouldn’t know where to meet him – and it’d take days to scoop the area after him.
What if he simply didn’t care?
The thought made you nauseous.
Well, if he didn’t show up, you still had a mountain to explore and money to rent a room in the city–
The wind brought an unknown voice to your ears.
Your instincts jumped, took control of your body. You immediately hid behind a bush, crouching down, and waited.
“...tired of this!” A young male voice. A boy’s voice. “We’ve been waiting since morning! I swear, if you’re trying to prank me, I’ll kick you off that cliff...”
Then, another boy’s voice – and your eyes immediately widened. You knew that high pitched whine.
“It’s not a prank, Ace! I said I’d be waiting right here, I can’t leave!”
“Yeah, right. Waiting for your imaginary friend.”
“I’m not imagining anything!” An uneasy groan. “Though maybe I missed the date… has it really been a year? She is taking too long…”
“Tsk. I’m sick of this. I’m heading back…”
“No! Wait!”
You got up and sprinted up the hill.
“Luffy!” Your voice cracked a bit while screaming his name… still not used to screaming. One hand kept gripping the strap of the backpack while the other waved excitedly.
And there he was.
The stretchy boy hadn’t changed a thing. Same hair, same height, same scar under his left eye, a bandaid on a different place this time – his forehead –, same battered up straw hat that was still too big for his head, jeans shorts and a blue tank top…
And same grin, big big grin, that appeared as soon as he spotted you… except he was missing his front tooth now.
“Wolfie!” He yelled. Who the hell–? Oh, right. That’s the name I made up. “You came!”
You had almost reached them when Luffy decided to engulf you in a hug.
...You were also not used to hugs and sudden proximity. The part of you that had been sharpened like a blade had the instinct to crush his trachea with the side of your hand. No no no, these are my five days of vacation. No business thinking! You made the conscious effort to push that part away, to lock it in a dark vault inside of your brain, a vault with a very complicated password. No bloodthirst. No kill intent.
So you just hugged him back instead and giggled excitedly.
Luffy then stepped away and grinned mischievously at that other boy.
He stepped behind you and put both hands over your shoulders as if presenting you like an item. “See? You seeing this? Is this imaginary? Call me a liar again, come on! C’mon, c’mon, c’mon, I dare you!”
You scanned each other in silence.
This guy was definitely a few years older than Luffy and you. His black wavy hair fell over his forehead, his tanned skin was peppered with freckles. Like Luffy, his brown eyes were so dark that they almost looked black. He wore shorts, an orange tank top, elbow pads, and held a steel pipe… what was that for?
He was much, much more judgmental than Luffy.
And apparently smarter, too.
Luffy walked to your side.
“This one’s my big brother Ace!” He presented.
You were immediately taken aback. Of course, you remembered how Luffy kept talking about someone called Ace. But you didn’t expect him to be a brother.
Just because your brothers are awful, doesn’t mean everybody’s are, too.
You managed to open a tight smile.
“My name’s Wolfie. Nice to meet you.”
Ace crossed his arms and measured you from head to toe – and you had to fight the urge to immediately despise him, because that look was familiar. Stop that. You don’t even know him yet. It’s your vacation! Time to have fun!
Luffy tapped your shoulder with the back of his hand. “Ace here kept saying I made you up, can you believe that?”
Ace side eyed Luffy with a frown. “You can’t blame me. The whole story sounded suspicious.” He focused on you again and tilted his head to the side. “The hell are you from?”
He carefully analyzed your outfit and backpack. Your clothes weren’t exactly fancy: you wore the standard Scarpia children “uniform”, which was basically a white button shirt, a black pleated skirt and the black blazer with the red scorpion on it (you had quickly gotten rid of that family crest from your clothes, however). You brothers, much obviously, wore pants instead of the skirt, but other than that, it was all the same.
You would have picked something different if you weren’t in such a hurry to get to the Dawn Island as fast as possible. Luckily, the last commission was already at some insignificant island of the East Blue – you picked it on purpose -, but the travel still took a days time. You still had to wait until the clock hit midnight to hop on a ship and head to the island (you couldn’t risk making your way with Landon nearby).
But anyway – your whole appearance was very obviously of a foreigner. A well lived foreigner. You couldn’t lie to two locals that you were from High Town, and you had already told Luffy you lived far.
Luckily, you had everything planned.
“Loguetown,” you announced. Ace seemed a bit surprised for some reason.
Big fat lie, obviously.
You’d been to Loguetown once or twice. It wasn’t that interesting of a place despite the mystique around it. Regardless, it was still a pretty big city and an acceptable answer: far, but not too far. Not too suspicious.
Ace quirked one eyebrow up. “...That’s far. What brings you to Mt. Colubo of all places?”
You shrugged. “My father visits the Goa Kingdom once a year because of his business and I like to come along.”
“You like to climb a mountain on your own.”
“I like animals and insects. I catalog them.”
“She draws pretty well. I mean, not better than me, but–“
“The mountain with the giant dangerous animals.” Ace cut Luffy off without taking his eyes off you.
“Yeah, that’s why this place is interesting.” You narrowed your eyes at him. “What’s the problem with that?”
“The problem is that this doesn’t make any sense.”
“What? You think a girl can’t take care of herself?”
“That’s not what I mean–“
“How are you alive? Luffy ate a Devil Fruit, so I get it, but how about you?”
Luffy looked between you and Ace like a ping pong ball coming and going.
And Ace looked very offended.
“What–?! I’m a hundred times stronger than Luffy!”
“Hey!”
“Don’t change the subject!” Ace once again ignored Luffy and pointed his finger at you. “I don’t know how a rich brat like you is even alive in here!”
You let an annoyed groan past your lips and tightened your fists. What an insufferable guy!
But then, you narrowed your eyes and refrained from arguing more. I didn’t come here to argue with anyone. I came here to play with Luffy.
A smug smirk grew on your lips. You held both straps of the backpack and took a small step back.
Then – you sprinted.
It made the wind howl, the trees sway. You had time to hear a satisfying gasp from both of them, but especially from the oh-so-annoying Ace.
In the blink of an eye, you were standing on the lower branch of a tree nearby.
“This is how.” You announced to a shocked Ace while smiling.
Luffy laughed.
He hopped excitedly and shook his arms. “I told you, see?! I told you, I told you!” The straw hat boy then looked at you with a defiant grin and fire in his eyes. “I said I’d be even faster this time!”
“Then prove it!” Now you were the one hopping excitedly. “You’re it!”
Luffy laughed and launched his weird stretched arm in your direction. You deflected him and jumped to another tree.
Ace stood there, still a bit shocked, and watched as you and Luffy chased each other through the trees. Both of you were noisy. Both of you disturbed the small animals like birds and squirrels, made branches shake violently, making a rain of leaves fall over his head. He heard a succession of tag! You’re it! before you said it one last time.
And then he spotted Luffy smiling devilishly at him like a gremlin.
“Are you just gonna stand there?!”
Ace took a step back and sent him a warning glare.
“Luffy, don’t you dare–”
Smack.
“You’re it!”
“I’m gonna kill you!”
Straw hat boy just laughed.
There were three kids disturbing the small fauna now.

“Have you ever eaten crocodile meat?” Luffy asked.
You shook your head. “Not that I remember.”
He smiled. “It’s soooo good. You’re gonna love it. Uh, now I’m hungry…”
“When are you not hungry, Luffy?” Ace side eyed you. “I’m surprised you didn’t want to hunt with us… since you’re soooooo good at everything.”
You shrugged.
Yes. It’s true that you decided to just stand near the river and watch them hunt the crocodile. Not because you couldn’t help them, but because it felt… wrong.
The crocodile was huge. Two times bigger than a cow, maybe. It was now wrapped in ropes as the two boys carried it above their heads towards their home. You’d never seen a crocodile this big, and that’s why you hesitated. Were there even that many crocodiles around?
“I feel bad for it.” You admitted quietly.
The two boys looked at you like you were insane.
“What? You don’t eat meat?!” Luffy seemed flabbergasted.
“I bet you don’t feel bad about cows or chickens,” Ace was much more defensive.
You just sighed and crossed your arms. “That’s not what I mean… whatever. Yes, I do eat meat.” You looked up at the huge animal for a few seconds. “Can I at least sketch it before you cook it?”
“Why would you wanna do that?”
“I already said that I catalog animals.”
“Weirdo.”
You wanted to punch Ace.
“Hey, hey, Wolfie, what’s your favorite food?” Luffy asked.
You held your chin and looked up. “Hmm… crab legs. I think.” Luffy hummed in response. “Or spicy noodles.” He hummed again. “Anything spicy, to be honest.”
It wasn’t without a reason. Your mother was a poison specialist. She made you and your brothers take small dosages of different types of poison not only to be able to recognize it, but to resist it. Turns out one of her poisons burned your taste buds and food became tasteless for months – until you ate a very very spicy pepper from Dressrosa and went oh, I can actually feel the taste of this. Your taste buds had healed, but your liking for spicy food stayed.
You weren’t going to tell them that, though.
“Never seen a girl that likes pepper,” Ace quirked his eyebrow up, clearly questioning you.
“You don’t know that many girls, do you?”
Ace blushed for some reason, but still looked annoyed. “Listen here, you brat–!”
He was interrupted by a growl.
You thought it was a savage animal nearby at first, but the sound was coming from too close…
It was Luffy’s rumbling belly.
“Ugh… I want to eat…” He tilted his head to the side as if he was suffering. “Crab legs… noodles… pepper…”
“You can’t take spicy food, Luffy,” Ace murmured.
“Yes, I can!”
They started arguing and you just watched in silence.
It was… interesting.
They bantered a lot. They punched each other and argued over silly things. Ace usually won most of the fights and arguments. However… you didn’t see genuine anger in his eyes not even once. You didn’t hear genuine insults meant to hurt. It was all silly, superficial – and they always got over it two minutes after it happened.
You wondered if that’s how siblings usually acted.
No. Don’t think of Urso or Crowley or Saqr… that’s not what you came here for.
So you looked ahead and spotted something, which caused you to stop on your tracks.
“Oh!” That caught their attention. “You guys have a tree house?”
It was well hidden in between the branches, but there was definitely a tree house some meters away at the top of an especially tall tree. The wooden structure looked a bit precarious and perhaps even abandoned, yet it immediately picked your interest.
“Did you guys build it?”
Luffy blinked and looked uneasy for some reason. “Huh…”
“It looks pretty cool!” An excited smile appeared on your lips. You gripped the straps of the backpack, ready to run. “I want to see it!”
“Wait, Wolfie–“ Luffy tried to warn you. Which was weird, because Luffy never tried to warn you about anything, so at that moment, you didn’t pay attention to him.
You were running towards the tree.
That’s when Ace yelled “No!”
The ground shook when he dropped the heavy crocodile. In the blink of an eye, Ace was towering in front of you, both of his arms extended to block your passage.
You froze on your tracks.
He… he looked angry.
“You’re not allowed to go there!”
His stance and his voice would’ve triggered normal you’s aggression. But that part of you was locked inside the vault – so all you did was widen your eyes at him.
“But it’s just a tree house,” you tried. That made him angrier for some reason.
“Do not get anywhere near that place!”
Luffy stepped closer, frowning. “Hey, Ace, you don’t need to get so angry–“
Ace turned his attention to him. “If you take her there, I will never talk to you again! Got it?!”
Luffy himself was surprised.
The oldest boy sent a last menacing gaze towards you before taking the crocodile on his own and marching ahead.
You just stood there, too shocked to say anything, for long seconds. Luffy sent you an apologetic look; it seems he didn’t know what to do, either.
...All older brothers are assholes, I guess.

Meeting Luffy’s “family” made you understand him (and Ace) much more.
Their house was deep inside the forest, in the middle of a large clearing. It was a big one-story house with a lookout, though it looked precarious. Many voices came from inside it.
The two boys announced that they had brought dinner. A couple of men wearing white turbans came from inside the house to check it. None of them seemed impressed that the kids killed a monster crocodile, which could only mean that wasn’t unusual. You stood there awkwardly for a while. No one seemed bothered by your presence.
That is, until a big ginger woman came out of the house.
Her hair was long and curly. She wore a white blouse, checkered green pants, a necklace made of red round beads and boots. She had two cigarettes (?) between her lips and the ferocious eyes that could only belong to a leader.
The woman immediately started scolding Luffy and Ace with why’d you take so long?! or which of you used all the sugar?! and your clothes are stinky, you better wash it before tomorrow! and you have to clean all the mess you made! and don’t you dare talk back like that, brat! and I will kick your ass if you don’t watch that tone! and then she finally laid her eyes on you.
She blinked.
You blinked.
“Hi.” You sent her a small wave. “My name is–
“LUFFY AND ACE KIDNAPPED A CITY GIRL!!”
It was like everyone finally noticed your presence at that moment.
The men gasped and gathered around you. The ginger woman fumed like a chimney – and suddenly everything became noisy noisy noisy, with everyone showing different levels of outrage.
“What a horrible thing to do-nii!” Said a short guy wearing a pink polka dotted overall who seemed to be already panicking.
“You guys really crossed the line this time!” Said another tall guy with a brown mustache and a weird wattle on the top of his head, looking at Ace and Luffy disapprovingly.
The woman grabbed the two buys by their collars and lifted them from the ground like they weighed nothing.
“You little psychopaths! This girl’s from High Town, ain’t she?! Why’d you bring her here?! You wanna get us all killed?!”
“What are you–“ Ace grunted, grabbing her wrist. “Talking about, crazy old woman?!”
“We didn’t kidnap anyone!” Luffy screamed. “She’s Wolfie and she’s my friend!”
“Friend?! Don’t make me laugh! Why would a little girl get into the woods like that–“
“Miss.”
She finally stopped to look down when you touched her arm softly.
“They’re not lying. I’m on vacation and came to visit Luffy.”
Silence.
She quirked her eyebrow at you with distrust.
“Where’re your parents?”
“In the city.”
“Where will you stay? It’s almost sundown, there’s not enough time to reach the city before night comes.”
You slipped the backpack to only one shoulder and shoved your hand inside the small pocket.
“I was wondering if I could stay here for two or three days…” You finally showed her what you were looking for – and earned a collective gasp. “...If you don’t mind, of course.”
A wad of cash.
She put the two boys down slowly.
The woman took it from your much smaller hand and removed the rubber band, counting the berries rapidly.
She then looked at you again – and for a moment, it looked like it’d take some more convincing–
But she grinned.
“Of course, darling!” She crouched down to come closer to your eye level – and all of sudden, the aggressiveness and distrust and even the wrinkle between her eyebrows were gone. She was all smiles and blushes and it was like flowers were floating around her head. Even her voice became sweet like honey. “Of course, why wouldn’t we take such a cutie in?! My name’s Dadan. We’ll take care of whatever you need!”
And then all the other grown men were smiling sweetly and blushing too, and the flowers multiplied. You heard I’ll prepare you a bedroom! and I’ll cook you a great dinner! and I can make you cute dresses– wait, why do you know how to make dresses?!
Such a drastic change.
Well. One thing you knew from the world of the adults is that there were just a few things money couldn’t buy.
Ace side eyed you with a frown. Luffy didn’t seem to mind and didn’t seem upset at Dadan despite what she just did.
“Hey, hey, Wolfie–“ He tapped your arm many times. “There are a loooot of beetles around here! And scorpions too! And–“
“Didn’t you said you wanted to draw the crocodile or whatever?” Ace interrupted with somewhat of a pout. “You better do it now before we skin it. I don’t wanna have dinner late because of you.” The older boy walked away with his hands inside the front pockets of his shorts.
“Right.” You nodded. Luffy’s shoulders dropped.
“You’re gonna sit down and draw now? That’s boring! I wanna play!”
“It won’t take that long this time,” you explained while searching for the sketchbook inside of your backpack. Luffy pouted.
You sat down on the grass and quickly started sketching the crocodile’s head from the side. You’d have to check on your Reptile Encyclopedia if this species was already cataloged… you hadn’t brought that book with you – it was way too heavy – and that’s why taking as many details as possible was necessary, so you could compare the drawing with the book images back home.
Meanwhile, everything was noisy behind you.
Luffy, Ace, Dadan, the other guys… they all made a lot of noise. A lot of insults and arguments… but a lot of laughter, too. All that noise wasn’t bothersome. In fact, it was much more comfortable than the mortifying silence that always hovered inside the Scarpia mansion.
You finished the sketch quickly and left everything aside to play with Luffy – and from there, time seemed to run. You played catch and played with a ball and played with a white dog that lived there. You rolled on the grass and jumped rope and played on a tire swing until it made Luffy feel nauseous. You raced too many times to keep count and taught Luffy each different species of bugs you saw inside the forest (though he didn’t remember anything a second after you finished speaking). And then suddenly your clothes were dirty and you were tired but you didn’t mind at all, because that tiredness didn’t hurt.
Finally it was time to have dinner – and the amount of food they cooked was a bit absurd, but everything smelled great. Everyone gathered to eat after bathing and changing clothes. Luffy was quite literally drooling.
“Let the guest eat first, brat!” Dadan reprimanded Luffy with a punch in his head when he tried to grab a piece of meat. You quickly filled your plate with rice, meat and a bit of salad before someone else could complain.
“That’s not fair,” Ace whined with a frown. “Why don’t we get this type of treatment? You never make this many side dishes.”
Dadan glared at him with fire in her eyes. “Because you’re not full of mone– I-I mean, because you’re not a cute, polite girl! Work on your manners first before you get special treatment!”
They started arguing.
You ate from your plate in peace. Luffy filled plate after plate after plate and for a moment you wondered if that giant crocodile was enough to satisfy him. There was a lot of noise, still. They talked loud. Yet, in your silence, you could still see that same thing from before. They argued and cussed at each other, but you couldn’t hear genuine anger or contempt or the will to hurt. Even Dadan who seemed the harshest of them all had that underlying care in her gaze, though you doubted Luffy or Ace could see it too.
Everything made your heart feel surprisingly at ease.
And made you feel something else too – but it was small and irritating, so you decided to brush it off.
“Hey, Ace, you’re losing to Luffy on something, huh?” That guy with a mustache – was his name Magura? – said at some point. He had a suspicious smile and light blush over his cheeks.
Both boys stopped eating for a second and went Huh?
Magura blinked prettily.
“Your younger brother got a girlfriend first than you. You better work on that!”
A room full of grown men giggled. Ace blushed furiously and started cussing.
You and Luffy looked at each other at the same time.
He blinked.
You blinked.
You both scowled like you’d eaten a very sour lemon.
“EEEW!!”

“Where are we going now?” You asked as soon as you stepped out of the house.
The morning smelled like dew, sap and damp soil. There were no clouds to cover the bluest sky you’d ever seen. Multiple birds chirped their melody, and you felt tempted to try to recognize the different species, but you wouldn’t have time.
Luffy had invited you to go somewhere.
“You said it was a party?”
The straw hat boy grinned. “Yeah! A birthday party for the Mayor! Makino throws a party for him every year. She bakes cake and a bunch of sweets!”
You followed him shortly, starting to feel a little excited. That was when you spotted Ace leaning on a tree nearby with his arms crossed. He looked… upset.
Luffy seemed to hesitate for a second.
“I’m going down to Foosha now, Ace!” He announced.
The other boy just shrugged in response.
That was… weird.
Luffy started to run, so you quickened your pace to catch up to him. His hat flew from his head and swayed with the wind while trapped by that thin rope around his neck. Soon, the house and the clearing were left behind.
“We can get to Foosha Village quicker using this trail,” Luffy explained. You nodded and kept silent for some moments while he yapped about cake flavors.
But your curiosity got the best of you.
“Luffy.”
“Hm?”
“Why isn’t Ace coming with us?” Luffy visibly stiffened. “Is he that angry at me?”
The straw hat boy coughed as if he had choked on something.
“He… huh… h-he’s not angry at you!”
“Why isn’t he coming, then?”
“Huh… hmmm…”
You watched very closely as sweat dripped down his forehead, his cheeks got flushed, his eyes very consciously averted from yours, a pout formed on his lips.
He almost looked constipated.
“H-He… he said he’s not a kid anymore to attend birthday parties!” Luffy looked extremely proud of himself for coming up with this answer. “Boring guy, isn’t he? Anyway, I bet you can’t get to that tree faster than me! Three-two-one-go!!”
He sprinted down the trail before you could get ready, making a cloud of dust on his way. You narrowed your eyes slowly.
That morning, you learned that Luffy was a terrible liar.

Foosha Village was about what you already expected – small with not much interesting going on. Not many houses, not many establishments, not that many people. The village port was small with only a few ships docked. The sea that surrounded Dawn Island was of a gorgeous blue, so calm that it could be mistaken by the waters of the Calm Belt.
Partys Bar faced this beautiful scenery.
Luffy stormed in unceremoniously and ran to the arms of a young woman of dark green hair – was that the Makino he talked about?
“Luffy!” She said sweetly while embracing him. “You came early!”
“The earlier we get, the more food we eat!” He giggled before leaning away.
Her eyes quickly found you. “And who is this little princess right here?”
Your cheeks got warm.
What did she just call me?!
“A friend of mine!” Luffy presented. “I brought her to eat cake!”
Makino chuckled. “Well, you two will have to wait, then. The cake’s still baking and I haven’t finished the decorations yet. Care to help me with this?”
You certainly didn’t care.
Makino brought an old box with decorations: ribbons, balloons, confetti and more. You sat on the bar stool and busied yourself with filling the balloons while her and Luffy glued the colorful tapes and little flags around the bar walls. His Devil Fruit ability came in handy in situations like this.
It was weird, this feeling you had. Unusual. The sound of the waves crashing not far from there. Trees swaying with the oceanic breeze. Chatter coming from the street. Luffy’s laughter and Makino’s sweet voice.
It was peaceful.
So peaceful that you felt your shoulders relaxing. For the first time, the “sonar” within you that kept constantly looking for potential danger was down. Yes, you knew that was wrong; it was against everything you’d ever learned. Never let your guard down.
But Landon wasn’t there. Nor your father or your mother. Crowley wasn’t hiding somewhere with a knife waiting for an opportunity to stab you. Saqr and his hound dogs weren’t anywhere near. Urso wouldn’t try to squeeze you to death… and you weren’t completing a commission, either.
You never thought you’d like to keep that part of you inside the vault, but turns out your life became pretty quiet when it happened.
Some kids entered the bar at some point. You couldn’t tell if Luffy already knew them, but they talked excitedly. Soon, they were outside on the street, playing.
You wondered for a second if you should join them, but Makino approached.
“That’s enough balloons, thank you.” She smiled softly. “Care to help me with something else?”
She guided you behind the counter into the kitchen. The place was filled with a delicious sweet smell of the cake baking inside the oven. Other than that, there were plenty of other snacks over the table at the center: some of them were obviously sweets, some looked deep fried.
“I couldn’t finish rolling the brigadeiros. The Mayor always asks for them,” she explained while walking towards the counter where a pan rested. “If I asked Luffy to come, he’d eat everything instead of helping.”
“He would.” You nodded and frowned slightly. “But… what’s a brigadeiro?”
Makino quirked an eyebrow. “You’re not from here, are you? If you don’t know what a brigadeiro is.”
Well. You couldn’t tell if you didn’t know what that was because you weren’t from the area of because you’d never been to a birthday party before – a normal one, at least. Maybe people ate this brigadeiro thing on the Grand Line, too. Who knows?
You repeated your lie, but decided to leave the Loguetown name behind. Perhaps Makino knew that it was also a common snack at that city, which would raise more questions.
After washing your hands, she proceeded to explain what to do.
“First, you have to coat your palms with butter so it slides easily… then, you take a bit of the chocolate dough from the pan with the spoon. It doesn’t need to be much. And then… you just roll it with your hands… until it becomes a little ball. This size is okay. See? Now you just dip it in the chocolate sprinkles and it’s done.”
It wasn’t a difficult task – and Makino was kind enough to let you eat some. After you picked up the pace, she let you do it on your own and went to take care of something else in the kitchen.
You couldn’t help but take glances at her from time to time.
Makino was delicate. The scarf wrapped around her hair matched with her long skirt; the thin pearl necklace also matched with her pearl earrings. She was agile in everything she did and sweet with her words. And that was also unusual.
Your mother – the only female reference you had – was the complete opposite of Makino. She was older, of course, but the differences didn’t stop there. Your mother was beautiful, too, and extremely elegant. But she was also cold. Distant. Black instead of colorful. Reprimands instead of compliments. Makino smelled of candy; Scilla Scarpia smelled of poison.
That made you feel a bit sad for some reason.
“What?” She asked at some point, and you realized you had been staring for some time. You stiffened.
“...Your earrings are very pretty, miss.”
Makino opened a wide smile and approached. “Do you want them?”
“W-What?”
“I have many earrings… these would look cute on you.” She narrowed her eyes and leaned closer. “Oh! How come you don’t have your ears pierced?”
You didn’t. You also weren’t used to wearing necklaces or bracelets or hair clips… nothing flashy or colorful. Your face was almost always hidden behind a white wolf mask anyway, so why worry about your appearance?
“I can pierce your ears later,” Makino offered. “But it hurts a little bit. Do you want it?”
At the same time… why not worry about your appearance?
A sudden smile and unexpected excitement bubbled within your chest. “Yes!”

The bar was packed a few hours later.
There were mostly kids. Conversation and laughter filled the air. Your ears stung a little bit, but you didn’t mind; you were too busy playing. Makino decided that it was time to congratulate the Mayor, so everyone gathered around a table to celebrate.
The Mayor himself – a short guy wearing a bucket hat, glasses and a colorful shirt – came to stand in front of the cake. After lighting the candles, they all clapped and sang happy birthday to you.
You looked around while everyone was too focused on the birthday man.
So many smiles. So much excitement and care. Little flags on the ceiling, colorful ribbons, balloons, a big Happy Birthday sign on the wall behind the Mayor. Everybody in that room knew him, all of them took their time to come to the bar and celebrate. Was he feeling appreciated? Was he happy and grateful?
His smile told you that he was.
Yesterday was your birthday, you remembered.
No one in the bar knew. Not even Luffy. You wouldn’t try to tell him and steal the moment. So, while you clapped and sang along, you silently pretended that it was all for you. It was silly and inappropriate, but you did it anyway. You pretended for a little over a minute that your birthday was filled with sweets and cakes and kids around your age to play with and music and laughter.
When the Mayor blew the candles, you silently wished it would be you in that place someday.
The moment was over soon. Slices of cake were distributed. Chocolate cake with strawberries. It tasted amazing. Makino had to stand near the cake to prevent Luffy from eating everything by himself.
The kids went out to play again. You followed, leaving this small moment of sorrow behind.

“Hurry up, you two. I don’t want to see you climbing up that mountain in the dark.” There were still a few hours left until sunset, but Makino was right. You had eaten more than what your stomach could take and tired your legs from running around so much.
Makino handed you a picnic basket: it had slices of cake, brigadeiros, coxinhas (which was something else you had never eaten before – a crispy fried snack in a teardrop shape filled with shredded chicken) and sandwiches. “These are for Ace and the others. I’m glad you’re here to carry it, because Luffy would end up eating everything on the way if I gave it to him.”
“Hey!”
She giggled and leaned down to hug Luffy. When Makino leaned away, she lowered her voice, but you could still hear very well when she said: “Tell Ace I’ll go see him tomorrow, okay?”
She then approached and hugged you. “Don’t forget to clean your ears with alcohol everyday.” Makino touched the pearl earrings softly and smiled. “You do look very cute with them!”
Your cheeks felt hot again. For whatever reason.
After waving your goodbyes, there you were making your way into the forest.
Luffy didn’t feel like running, which was a bit of a miracle. Even him could get tired… and you were thankful, because like that, he couldn’t run away from you.
You waited until you were out of the village to start.
“Luffy.”
“Huh?”
“Why didn’t Ace come?”
He stiffened again.
“Y-You already asked that, didn’t you? And I already answered.”
“I don’t buy it. There must be another reason.” You approached him until your shoulders bumped. “Come ooooon. I won’t tell anyone.”
Luffy made that weird constipated face again and crossed his arms. “I… huh… I don’t know! I have no idea! Hah!”
“I’m great at keeping secrets! You can trust me!”
“Seriously, I don’t know anything!” But he was sweating again and avoiding your gaze so much that his eyeballs were almost rolling inside his skull, so it meant it was time to play dirty.
You shoved your hand inside the basket and put a coxinha in front of his face.
His eyes widened.
“I’ll give it to you if you tell me.”
Luffy gasped.
He froze, his fingers trembled, his mouth drooled. It looked like he was facing the biggest challenge of his life. The coxinha smelled amazing. It was still warm and shining golden in its crispy fried glory.
For a second, it looked like he was raising his hands to grab it – and you were ready to sing victory.
But Luffy tapped his foot on the ground and whipped his head to the side aggressively.
“No!”
It was your turn to gasp.
Was it so serious that Luffy couldn’t even be bribed with food to tell the truth? That was surprising.
Admitting defeat, you put the snack inside the basket again and went back to walking. “Okay, then.”
You heard Luffy whine behind you and the tap tap of his sandals fast approaching again. “But we could eat one of them, right? They would never know.”
“You can’t eat just one. You’ll want the whole thing.”
“Nooo, I’m serious!” He brought both hands close to his face in a praying position and looked at you with round, begging eyes. “Just one? Please? Please? Please?”
You hesitated before admitting defeat for the second time that day.
“Just one.” Luffy giggled excitedly. “Eat slowly ‘cause it’s really gonna be the only one!”
He took one. You took one.
You chewed in silence.
This coxinha was another secret you’d have to keep. Another lie.
Luffy was a terrible liar. It looked like he couldn’t lie to save his life. Meanwhile, lying to you was easy… it was part of the job – sometimes you’d have to go undercover, and to get info on a target, you’d have to lie your way in. You were also used to lying to avoid punishments. It wasn’t hard to come up with something on the spot. Believable lies, sometimes only twisting the truth a bit to get what you wanted.
You lied to everybody here. All of these kind people that had been nothing but honest to you. All of these people calling you by a name that wasn’t truly yours. Wolfie this, Wolfie that… but Wolfie didn’t exist.
No one should see your face. No one should know your name.
But would you ever be able to make a real friend behind this mask of lies?
You wanted Luffy to be a real friend.
So you swallowed and gathered some courage.
“Luffy.”
“Hmm?” His mouth was full.
“I have a secret to tell you.” He seemed mildly interested. “‘Wolfie’ is not my name.”
You gave him your real name quietly – almost as if there was a possibility of someone else hearing it nearby. You decided to leave your last name behind. That would be too risky.
Luffy repeated your name. You nodded. He quirked an eyebrow. “So what?”
“I’m not from Loguetown. I’m not even from the East Blue.”
Luffy narrowed his eyes slowly, finally fully interested. “And why’d you lie?”
You pressed your lips and debated for a second if this was the right thing to do… but Landon wasn’t here, or anyone from your family, and the only thing with ears nearby was a squirrel and a couple of birds.
So you continued.
“I’m an assassin.”
You held your breath and waited for Luffy’s reaction.
He could laugh at your face and say you were lying. He could scowl and run away in fear. He could push you down the hill and tell you to never get near his family again.
But Luffy did what you least expected.
...He didn’t react.
At all.
He just kept chewing the coxinha as if you told him what you’re having for dinner.
“Why are you an assassin?” He asked.
“It’s the family business.”
“So your parents are, too?”
“Yeah.”
“And why do they do that?”
“For the money.” You shrugged.
“Hmmm.” He finished eating and rested both hands behind his head. “That’s why you’re rich.”
“Yeah.”
Luffy then frowned as if remembering something.
“Wait. Why’d you feel bad for the crocodile, then?”
That was an interesting question. “...I like animals. They’re irrational. And cute.”
“You think a monster crocodile is cute?”
“Uh-Huh.”
“Weirdo.” He was pretty much imitating what Ace said earlier, but you didn’t mind. “So. Do you like to kill people?”
That was another interesting question. No one had ever asked you that. You hummed and held your chin.
“I don’t like it. But I don’t mind it either. It’s just... work.”
“Sounds pretty boring.”
Your shoulders dropped. “It is boring.”
“So that’s why you’re here?”
He caught things pretty quickly. You nodded, an annoyed knot appearing between your eyebrows. “They don’t let me play. They don’t let me do anything! It’s just work work work, it’s just you have to honor the family or whatever.” Your voice sounded more whiny and bitter at each word. “They never even asked me if I wanted to be part of the business. Not that they have ever asked my opinion on anything.”
Luffy hummed again – but there was something a bit strange about his voice now.
His hat had dropped a bit, casting a shadow over his eyes.
“...You’re like Sabo.” Luffy’s voice was… strangely quiet. You’d never seen him speaking quietly before.
You tilted your head.
“Who’s Sabo?”
“My brother.”
“Really?” Luffy had another brother? You didn’t hear anyone mention that name. “Where is he?”
Luffy dropped his arms from behind his head.
“He… he died.”
That took you by surprise.
“Oh.”
Silence.
You’re like Sabo, Luffy said.
For some reason, you remembered Ace’s aggressiveness towards you… how he didn’t want to let you in that old tree house...
And something clicked.
Did you remind Ace of this dead brother? Was he somehow jealous of your presence… as if you could perhaps assume that empty spot?
You scratched your head and frowned. That didn’t make any sense since, well, you had enough brothers and you hated all of them. Why’d you want to have any more brothers? That’s not what you came here for. Ace was a few years older than you, but if your suspicions were right, then he was nothing but delusional and childish.
Luffy made a strange noise, which brought your attention to him again.
You leaned to see his face under the hat.
“...You crying?”
“I’m not!”
But his face was wet with tears and his cheeks were flushed and he had the biggest pout and he rushed to clean his nose with the collar of his shirt. Oh no, he’s actually crying, even though he was clearly trying to hold it in. What do I do?!
You weren’t one to cry. You didn’t even remember the last time you did. Wait, have you ever cried at all? Have you ever seen anyone in the family cry? Huh… no, I don’t think so. Never felt anything deserving of shedding tears, I guess.
“Stop staring at me!”
“Sorry!” You leaned away and crossed your arms. “It’s just that this is, huh, unusual.”
Luffy sniffed and frowned. “What do you mean unusual?”
You scratched your own cheek awkwardly. “Well. If any of my brothers died, I’d throw a party to celebrate.”
Luffy stiffened for a second – and you worried that you had worsened the situation.
But then he laughed.
He sniffed again and cleaned his face with his forearm. The tears stopped! Great! “You really are a weirdo. Is your family that bad?”
You scowled instinctively. “I don’t even wanna talk about them.”
“I don’t wanna talk about them, either. They sound boring.” Luffy sniffed again and side eyed you with a small pout. “Don’t tell Ace you saw me crying. He’ll smack me.”
“Okay.” It was your turn to point at him. “Don’t tell Ace my secret or I’ll smack you.”
“Right. Wolfie.” He used a funny tone to say that name while grinning, and it immediately made you smile too. Luffy was kind of slow, but he got the message. That name was forbidden, even though you decided to share it with him anyway.
Luffy knew the real you now – and he didn’t care.
“Can I get another one–?”
“No!” You took the basket out of his reach before he could sneakily stretch his arm to grab it. “I was serious! Just one!”
“But–“
“No!”
You brought the basket close to your chest and sprinted up the trail without looking back. Luffy’s laugh and the tap tap tap of his sandals quickly followed.
At that moment, while running from Luffy and getting deeper into the forest, while feeling the delicious smell of the food inside the basket and sap and damp soil, while listening to his giggles and the ones that erupted from your own chest, you got to a conclusion.
One year, zero failures – twenty five successful commissions, uncountable classes, uncountable boring hours of painful training… it was a fair price to pay for the happiness you could experience at that mountain, at that island, at this god forsaken corner of the world. No golden armor or cannon or warship could compare to that.
No money could buy that.
You were willing to do whatever it took to always keep this small island of peace intact.

— EMBARASSING THINGS THEY DID IN THE PAST : twisted wonderland

[synopsis] embarassing things they did when they were younger that now haunt them whenever they are trying to sleep
[characters] deuce, cater, trey (+chenya), leona, ruggie, jack, malleus
[extra] my last 3 posts are literally so unserious, so here's another one, for the funsies (ily guys)
★﹕DEUCE SPADE
When he was in elementary school, he would chat with his friends while waiting for his mom to come pick him up and take him home. That particular day, his mom was late, and 6-year-old Deuce freaked out. He was convinced that his mom didn't love him anymore, and that's why he wouldn't pick him up—that he was going to be homeless and would have to live on the streets in a cardboard box. He even started crying, which made his friends cry. They started saying goodbye to Deuce because how were they going to see him again if his mom wouldn't bring him to school?
Anyways, his mom came to pick him up 10 minutes later.
★﹕CATER DIAMOND
Back then when he actually tried to make friends whenever he moved schools, he had a huge crush on one of his classmates. One day, he overheard his crush talking about how they "would love to be with someone who loves nature as much as them". Cater wanted to impress his crush so badly that he made a Magicam post with him posing next to random trees and captioned it with "I love nature so much omg😍".
The photo is still out there on the internet because he forgot the password for the account, and the idea of someone from NRC finding the account terrifies him.
★﹕TREY CLOVER (+CHENYA)
Another one that takes place in elementary school. Trey and Chenya were walking around the city after classes when they spotted an electricity pylon. They thought it was the Eiffel Tower (the equivalent of it in Twisted Wonderland), and they got all excited about it, so they came back with Trey's parents so they could take a picture of them next to it.
Their parents bring up the topic from time to time just to laugh at their innocence back then.
★﹕LEONA KINGSCHOLAR
When he was a little kid, he had a nightmare where he was being chased. He was tossing around the bed, mumbling while sleeping. Falena was walking around the halls when he heard noises from Leona's room, and when he saw him clearly having a nightmare, he tried to wake him up. Leona got so startled that he screamed and kicked his older brother in the face.
Sometimes he remembers when he's about to fall asleep, and suddenly his sleepiness is gone from how much he cringed.
★﹕RUGGIE BUCCHI
He needed money, so he decided to work as a party mascot. It went well the first couple of times; it paid well, until he had to work at this particular kids party. The parents told Ruggie to walk down the stairs, greet the kid, wish him a happy birthday, and then just stand there to greet the children whenever they talked to him. Keep in mind that he couldn't see well in the mascot suit. So when Ruggie tried to walk down the stairs, he tripped and fell. The suit's head fell off, and there was just silence for around ten seconds, then the kids started crying. They thought their favorite character had just died right in front of them.
The birthday boy was inconsolable. Needless to say, Ruggie didn't get paid, and his party mascot careed ended that day.
★﹕JACK HOWL
It happened when his parents weren't home. His younger siblings were playing around with paint, and they asked him if they could paint his face. Jack said yes because it was harmless and would wash off, right? Wrong, it was permanent paint.
He had an important exam the next day, so he just showed up to school with his face looking like a kid painting that parents would display on the fridge door. Jack had to go to school like that for three days.
★﹕MALLEUS DRACONIA
Malleus has known Lilia for as long as he can remember; he basically raised him. One day, he had the genius idea to copy his hair. He waited for a moment when he was left unsupervised (in Lilia's defense, Malleus faked being asleep), grabbed some scissors, and cut his own bangs. It was awful; it looked like how you would think a little kid would cut their hair. He was so proud of himself until Lilia saw it. To little Malleus dismay, Lilia laughed his ass off, and whenever his laughter would stop, he would look at Malleus and start laughing again.
He got so upset he burned Lilia's bangs off.

The Court Jester Part 2
Yandere Batfam x GN Reader
Pt. 1, Pt. 3, Pt. 4, Pt. 5
As Batman questioned his life choices, his other children listened in on the conversation.
"So that's what happened to (Y/N). I thought they had just moved out." Tim stated.
"How did that weak-" Damian started but was cut off by Tim. "You didn't even know them! They were nice and understood how important our work was, so they tried to stay out of the way!"
Dick and Jason just blocked out the arguing as they started to remember all the things (Y/N) did for them. How they tried to help even in the smallest ways. Like how they would always make sure there was a fresh pot of coffee or how they would rotate the types of cookies in the manor so everyone got one they liked.
When (Y/N) first moved out, the first thing the family realized was how much they did. It felt weird the first couple of weeks, but they eventually got used to it. Seeing (Y/N) like this made them worry, even if some of them wouldn't admit it (Damian). This awoken something in each of them.
Dick saw someone who was with him since the beginning. Someone he could always trust to be there for him when he needed it, and now he could see it was gone. The twisted smile on their face showed all the pressure he and his family put on them, and he felt nothing but guilt.
Jason saw someone who went through something similar to him. He saw the torture in their eyes. He heard the manipulation in the words that came out their mouth. He knew that if he could just get to them and talk like they used to, it would all be fine. He was determined to get them back, and this time, they weren't leaving his sight.
Tim saw the calculation that went into this trap. He saw the brain of (Y/N), who even in this state was brilliant. He saw the planning, the research, the trail and error of each detail in this plan, all to catch Batman and have a conversation with him before your "Dad" got there. He wanted to bounce ideas off you. He wanted to talk about plans with you. He even wanted to just hang out and chill with you, but in order to do that, he would need to get you back. And when you came back, he would do all those things with you.
Stephanie saw the abandoned side of you. She realized that she didn't know anything about you. Your age, your favorite color, your birthday, she didn't even know your last name. She knows what it's like to have a distant relationship with a parent figure, and she wants to help. She wants to know all of those things. She wants to know you. And if you let her (you will), she wants to be the closest person to you.
Damian saw a weak follower who needed not only to learn but also needed to be protected. Even though you are older than him, he can see a flame in you that with the right training and teacher could become a full-on blaze. He would be that teacher. He would be the one you look up to. Nobody else. He just needed to get you back to start training.
They all looked at each other as if thinking the same thing,"Let's go get (Y/N)."
Back with (Y/N)...
"Dads gonna be so proud when he sees this! I mean, look at you! You look totally defeated!" (Y/N) said between giggles. They were giddy. They had talked to dad about if they could try something with the Bat, and surprisingly, he agreed. After the Bat was caught, they sent the signal to their father so they could show off their work.
Batman was tied to a chair. His utility belt on the floor as they made him make a choice. Drop your utility belt, or I will kill these two parents and make a boy and a girl orphans. They knew what they were doing. They knew it was wrong. But God did it feel good. To have his eyes looking at them and having him see what they truly are. Not their mother but (Y/N). Even if they look a little different now.
As the Bat was beginning to start a sentence the door busted open.
"Hello Peanut!" The Joker exclaimed as he came in. "Look at all the fine work you've done. My little Jester".
-------------------------------------------------------
Thank you so much for all the support on the first part of this! Everytime I see your guys support I am baffled at how wonderful you all are. Quick question do you want this to be completely platonic or do you want some people from the family to be romantic? Also should I add more people from the DC Universe? Thank you so much for reading!

f!reader losing virginity to spencer ? maybe as "just friends" to help her "get it out of the way" but they really like each other.
So...this was supposed to come out on Spencer's birthday but work and life got in the way...sorry.
WE’RE JUST FRIENDS? | Spencer Agnew x F!Reader | 18+ MINORS DNI
(also, yes the girl in the photo has a certain skin color but it's not indicative of the reader. I try to make these open to everyone as possible.)
TW: Smut, oral (f! receiving), fingering, cursing, two idiots in love
WORD COUNT: 2.4k
DESCRIPTION: You have told you're best friend Spencer everything...well except two things. You're in love with him and you're still a virgin. Two things you never plan to tell him...until you do.
She never understood why people couldn’t just be friends. Opposite genders can be friends and not have any romantic feelings. Is it kind of hypocritical coming from her…yeah, but not totally.
You see, Y/N has feelings for her best friend since college but is purely platonic with all her other male friends; Chanse, Shayne, Tommy, Ian, Anthony, and all the other guys at Smosh. She knows the main reason she’s attracted to Spencer and has been for years, he’s himself. It’s hard to explain unless you know Spencer but what made her fall for him…is him.
It’s not like her feelings are so intense she couldn’t date anyone else, in fact, she’s dated a couple of guys but they haven’t lasted for vastly different reasons. One thing has been one of the constant reasons for the break up, you don’t want to sleep with them.
She doesn't know why, but she has yet to date anyone who has made her feel comfortable enough to lose her virginity to, not wanting to regret it later on. That’s something she hasn’t told anyone, not even Spencer because she doesn't know how to explain why she hasn't yet. It’s something she never thought she would tell him until one night of drinks, pizza, and gaming. A semi-regular night for the two of them, especially after a long shoot week.
It was barely midnight, the two of them had been hanging out for like four hours at this point just talking, eating, and trying to beat the other at Mario Kart or play duos on Fortnite.
The night had gotten away from them after an epic Battle Royale about an hour ago where they celebrated with an extra drink and chatting. Like everything, somehow they got onto the topic of dating, both of them being single for almost, or over in Spencer's case, a year. That then delved into talking about more intimate stuff, “Honestly, I’m so fucking happy that I lost my virginity in high school. I could not imagine still being a virgin now. Too much pressure.” He quips after he makes a joke about the movie 40-year-old Virgin.
Y/N looks at him confused and lowkey, panicking, “Why do you say that? I don’t think it’d be that bad.” She confesses, sipping more of her drink. “Dude, when you’re in high school or college it’s all just part of the experience. You barely have dated anyone so there isn’t much pressure. Now though, fuck dude!” He says, rubbing his face in frustration at the thought and she looks down.
“There would be so much pressure at this point. You’ve dated so many people and at this point, it’s probably just you being in your head.”
“Or you’re scared to give it away and regret it. Guys losing their virginity is a lot more different than girls. You have to remember that, Spence. A lot more at stake too.” She looks at him, trying to show a stoic face but Spencer isn’t buying it.
Y/N is always someone who tries to show both sides of the coin but is usually more silly about it. Now, she’s being very serious and trying to act stoic, like she’s hiding something. It’s not something he wouldn’t have noticed unless they had been friends this long.
“Hey, I didn’t mean to strike a nerve. I know you’re all about being things neutral but this seems like a bit more than usual. What’s up?” She looks at him confused, trying not to get embarrassed and say something she doesn’t want to. “Nothing, I just think that sometimes this whole thing is oversimplified.” He raises an eyebrow, “You’re acting like you’re still…” He trails off when she looks down and squeezes her eyes shut.
“Oh my god! Y/N! What the fuck! I thought you and-”
“We were but I changed my mind. Every time I thought about possibly losing it to him I felt nothing but dread. Same thing with the other guys. I don’t want to regret it.” She plays with her fingers, not wanting to look him in the eye.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” She looks at him shocked, “Why would I need to tell you? It’s personal but also how the hell do I bring that up?” She says before speaking in a silly voice, “Oh, Spencer, I gotta tell ya, buddy. I’m a virgin because I get major anxiety and overthink it to where I just haven’t done it.” She does a silly laugh that sounds a lot like Goofy.
“Okay, I get it. This is a sensitive topic, I’m sorry.” He apologizes, looking at her sadly and she feels her heart pinch. “It’s not that. I just…I want to. I want to so badly but I just get so anxious and overthink everything. Sometimes I think that it’d be easier to find someone to hook up with or just get an escort or something.” She looks at him, “Or someone I have been friends with forever basically and I trust more than anything.”
Spencer looks at her confused until she raises a brow and he gets the message, “Oh, you mean me? Really?” She nods, playing with her fingers again as she gets nervous. “Yeah, I mean. I know I wouldn’t regret it with you because you’re my best friend. I don’t think there is a guy I trust more than you.” She confesses, making his face light up.
“I would be honored. Holy shit, you won’t regret this. I promise.” He says, sounding like an excited young kid who just got picked first for baseball. She giggles at his silly antics before letting out a shocked yelp when he pulls her close. “So, are you more dominant or submissive or…” She shrugs her shoulders. Spencer shrugs his as well before putting his hand on her cheek, pulling her in gently before connecting their lips.
She puts her hand on his as her other moves into his hair. He sighs into the kiss as her nails scratch at his scalp, sending chills down his spine. Gently, he lays her down on the couch as his lips move to cheek then to her jaw, and landing lastly on her neck.
He feels his pants tighten as she lets out soft sighs from his lips on her sensitive neck. His tongue licks a long stripe along it before he sucks on her pulse point. Her hand pulls at his hair in response as she mutters out his name softly, the sound making him harder by the second.
Unknown to Y/N, Spencer was slowly coming to the realization of his own feelings for her. What he would always brush off as anxiety of her dating someone new and unknown to him has turned out to be jealously. Jealous that these random guys would take you out and not him. He finally has his chance to test the waters…well test a little more than the waters.
His lips continue to work on her neck but stop when she starts to giggle. “What, what’s so funny?” He asks, moving back a little and chuckling himself. “Your beard tickles a bit. I like it though.” She’s coy about her words, he smiles at her shyness before going back to kissing her neck as she giggles again.
This is nothing he’s felt before. The other girls he had dated and slept with were all serious about sex. They didn’t want or think that sex could be playful and fun but in this moment Spencer feels his heart soar. He’s pulled out of his trance as she tries to pull off his t-shirt, he helps her take the article of clothing off before slipping his hands under her shirt.
He holds back a moan just at the feeling of her lace bra, not even seeing it in person. She giggles before slipping the shirt over her head and swears his eyes are popping out of his head. “I knew you had awesome tits, but holy fuck!” He groans as he puts his face between them.
His warm breath fans over them, sending chills down her body before his warm tongue licks her lace-covered nipple. She bites her lip as he does the same to the other before pulling her bra down to expose the flesh fully.
A strangled moan falls from her lips when he wraps his around her right nipple. His thumb and forefinger play with her left, rolling and gently tugging it. She feels herself getting wetter with each tug as her hands tangle in his hair. He continues to stimulate her nipples for a while before moving down with open mouth kisses.
“Spence, you don’t have to-”
“I want you, now sit back relax and enjoy the show.” He jokes with his sassy smirk before kissing her plush thighs. She sighs comfortably at the feeling before laughing when he playfully bites her thigh. “Sorry, you just tasted too good not to have a bite.”
Her eyes stay on him as his beard tickles her thigh before he moves to be face-first with her pussy. His finger come up to spread her lips as she feels her cheeks heat up, not used to having someone see so much of her. Her thighs start to close but Spencer stops them before they can. “Don’t hide yourself. You’re beautiful.” He assures her as he licks a long strip up her slit.
The new feeling makes her eyes roll as she breathes shakily. He continues to give long licks before moving to suck on her clit. “Holy fuck!” She moans, her hands quickly finding a place in his hair as she relishes in the new feeling.
She had used vibrators and other toys but nothing had felt like this before. His tongue swirls around her clit a few times before sucking again. He moves a finger to her entrance, “I’m going to put a finger in. It might feel weird at first.” She nods, moving a hand down to his arm. She releases a breath at the uncomfortable feeling, her hand squeezes his arm.
“Are you okay?” He asks his finger fully inside. “Yeah, just feels… different.” She confesses as she starts to feel embarrassed. “It’ll feel better in a bit, just gotta get you warmed up a bit.” His finger thrusts in and out for a moment before he adds a second. She moans softly when adds a second and whimpers as they move. “Is it feeling better?” He asks, she responds with a sweet moan that makes his cheeks heat up.
His fingers continue going in and out, stretching her out slightly. His fingers graze the spongy spot inside her, “Oh my, do that again! Please.” She begs. The feeling made her see stars, who is Spencer not to please? His finger rubs the spongy spot as she starts to feel herself get close.
“Yes, yes, just like that-Fuck!” She screams when his lips wrap around her clit again. He licks and sucks intermittently while still playing with her G-spot as she screams his name. “Spencer! Fuck! I’m gonna cum!” She yells as the knot in her stomach snaps.
He licks and sucks her clean before sitting up. Pulling off his hoodie and pants. He aligns himself with her leaking hole, “This will probably hurt, but it’ll subside. I promise.” She nods as he slowly pushes in.
While the tight feeling makes him moan loudly, having been a while since he slept with anyone, Y/N bites her lip, the feeling being intruding and uncomfortable. Noticing her discomfort, he leans down and kisses her sweetly, trying to distract her as he continues to sink in.
Spencer is just a bit above average in length but more girthy than most. The stretch is something Y/N will come to love but for the first time, it’s a different feeling than anything she’s ever felt. Her face unconsciously skews in a bit of pain when he’s fully inside.
Leaning down, he locks their lips. His hips are still as he gives her time to adjust, the feeling of her wrapped around him is making it hard to keep still though. Her hands tangle in his hair once again and gently pull when she’s adjusted, giving them the okay to move.
His thrusts start out slow, letting her body adjust to the new sensations and the starting pain slowly melts away. He intertwines their fingers as he thrusts at the same pace. The gesture is small but is enough to make her feel safe and loved by the man on top of her.
It takes about a minute before Y/N starts to moan, “Faster, please Spencer.” She begs needing to feel more. It takes everything in him not to smirk as his hips pick up speed. “Oh god.” She moans, wrapping her legs around his waist to keep him close.
Spencer keeps a steady fast pace, his tip hitting her G-Spot as he moves his hips a little. The only sounds in the room are skin-on-skin, moans, and heavy breathing. The two are eye-locked, watching the other’s face and expressions.
“Shit, I’m close.” Y/N moans, feeling the familiar knot forming. “Me too, shit,” Spencer groans as his hand moves to rub her clit. “Fuck, Spencer!” She practically screams with the added sensation.
“Cum for me, Y/N. Please cum all over me.” He moans, his thrusts getting sporadic. She screams his name as the knot bursts in her stomach and she cums on his dick. He groans as she clenches around him, making it hard for him to not cum inside her. He continues to thrust through her high before he starts to breathe very heavily.
“Where do you want me to cum?” He struggles to get out, feeling very close. “I don’t care.” She says, her voice very breathy. He pulls out and only strokes himself a few times before he cums on her chest.
Coming down from his high, the two look at each other and then laugh. “Oh my god, that was amazing. How the hell are you still single?” She jokes as he lays on top of her. “Just haven’t found the right one yet.” He says, his eyes looking at her softly as she runs a hand through his hair.
“Maybe you just haven’t been looking in the right places.” She smiles at him and he leans in, “Or maybe I just have been overlooking a certain someone.” he says before kissing her.
