Carnation loves to read, it’s stress relief for him

Carnation’s usually very deadpan and moody, but is a BIG sucker for puns, even awful ones, and they’re one of the rare ways to genuinely make him laugh

Carnation’s vision is bad, so he wears round blue glasses at home

Nightshade has a reputation as a heartbreaker

He’s really a hopeless romantic, but because he can’t touch people without dusting them (and being in a long-term relationship with a normal person is so risky, imagine your lover dying because they touched your cheek while you were resting together) he instead settles for short flings before dumping the poor saps

Carnation always pushes away Nightshade’s advances because he both thinks Nightshade can’t see him as more than another one-off fling (as a novelty of actually being able to hold somebody) and that he also can’t believe anybody would genuinely like him (plus Carnation isn’t interested in being fake nice, what you see is what you get)

Nightshade also accidentally reinforces this because he’s so used to winning people over with suggestive/shallow flirting, he doesn’t know how to show his feelings genuinely
