okay, actual in-story facts now:

Evarin has no official siblings, but her family has hosted at least one foster child in the past, which is her friend Larel. Larel and Evarin are both trans women, though they chose to transition in different ways. Evarin's family only hosted Larel for a few years, as foster children in their community are considered everyone's responsibility and tend to move around a lot, but Evarin still treats her like a younger sister and is always there to give her advice and encourage her.

Evarin's favorite snack is goat cheese and jam on biscuits. Campfire biscuits are a staple food on the gnomish nomadic trails, so when Evarin took her journey with her mother's relatives as a young adult (a coming of age tradition) she ate a lot of them. They're better than hard tack by a long shot, but still rather bland all on their own. Covering them in jam and goat cheese is standard. Evarin still enjoys them even though she finished her nomadic journey and settled back down with Morianon. They're a comfort food. Especially with the mixed berry jams she can get from Obeli Moruga, the oldest goblin in town. Goblins have the best food preservation techniques.

Being a quarter orc, Evarin has some small physical advantages that she wouldn't have if she was all gnome. She's taller than the average gnome, for one thing, and she has an easier time putting on muscle. But in particular, it has also given her an advantage as a medical singer. The ancestral urukish language shared between gnomes and orcs is very guttural in a nasal way, due to the pig snout anatomy. Evarin's nasal cavity is slightly larger than the average gnome's, because of her orcish ancestry. It's not as obvious a difference as it would be for a half orc or a full orc, but it's there and it does provide a natural boost to her singing range. The style of song she and other gnomish or orcish medical singers use is similar to throat singing.
