a word or two about Predecessors:
zendai lineup: Corsus - (Blue) - Papa Ran - Karras - Iroki
can they all henshin? Will Iroki henshin?
if they all henshin they can just be reverse colour scheme with the main suits (armor colour ↔ undersuit/cape colour)
otherwise, Corsus = silver/red; Blue = Cyan, Ran = Peach; Karras = Dark Purple; Iroki = Brown (ignoring cohesion)
technically though, the suit shouldn't change colour with different users (Imai-san, Ookuwagata SA is in the film, persumably as the user of gold Calibur)
basically zendai redblue would be like racules kagu and Iroki Karras hime rita but enemies and papa ran is happily married
Corsus is a copy of Racules but actually villainous (Mama Husty is dead.)
my image of Zendai Blue is Ryunosuke but sly (yankee yori yakuza). feels like he'd've a precious little girl somehow? (mom unknown of course)
Papa Ran being the mediator of the five
Karras and Iroki should be the black/purple dynamic we all thought at reveal? Feel like they'd hate each other's guts at first sight and hold an ongoing grudge for no reason
(i'm not sure how i feel about Iroki being married or not but it's so funny to substitute Amano-san as a trophy husband for now) it's still a children's show so i can't outright say she has a harem right
Shiron and Garren boasting their wives
The househusbands asking receipes from Mama Ran??
Mama Ran sharing medicinal soups with Shiron for his overworking stay-up-late wife :)
i think i read this hc elsewhere but it tracks that Shiron went to the same uni (aka the best one) as the Rans (they look like a college couple to me anyway)
Or maybe because they have a common friend in Papa Ran that Karras and Shiron met (at wedding cliche?)
god if Karras/Shiron had a procedural courtship
they all came to baby Himeno/Racules/Gira's public debut :') (first month/birthday/erabitori etc.)
Iroki has to love Racules with his proper princely manner (think the aunt that always pinch your cheeks)
Iroki being all mean in words to baby Himeno ("ara, what a scawny pet") but showers her with so much gifts so she can win the title of her favourite aunt
I don't think Rita's adoption would be a big celebration (if no dirty secrets covered) but just another bulletin. When Iroki found out she's glad she has another "scandal" against Karras and made sure to send a gigantic, extravagant gift at Zaiban Court's door (delivery fee paid by recipient)
This won't happened but if Iroki teased Rita with an embarrassing childhood episode and that's why they screamed in the trailer lol
Karras's disappearance happened after God's Fury and I'd imagine hers was one recognition Kaguragi's new government needed. How did she feel about it?
Unless Toufu's rebellion happened after Karras's disapearance and no proper recognition exists in the sense that none of the new kings' rule is solid yet
Else, how responsible did she feel in the short window when she was the only adult sovereign? (consider Corsus "fell victim" to God's Fury too)

Thanks! There are lots of different dragons who act and think in different ways! Most of them have at least a streak of arrogance and greed, though the good among those temper themselves, or at least try. Good dragons with the typical fondness for gold most dragons have try to gently lean on settlements for tribute, do some kind of work in exchange for gold, or simply just accept gifts. Some take this in different ways, while the typical dragon wants a giant pile of gold, others might instead have a deep interest in artifacts and magical items, becoming collectors of such things.
Dragons tend to naturally view themselves as superior to other races. They are so much larger and more powerful than everyone else, and the small ones need magic, special artifacts and enchanted weapons to even harm them. Even good dragons may be arrogant, seeing the “lesser” races as ignorant savages that need their guidance.
This isn’t to say all dragons are like this. There are plenty who defy these expectations. The timid white dragon and friendly red dragon from the Sorcerer story come to mind (Ambrosius and Theodosius). Gira and Tourthun as well.
Black dragons are a bit different from other dragons. As in the story, most of their emotions are shut off at birth, meaning they simply don’t have the ability to care about others...though they can feel some thrilling satisfaction from dominating and hurting others. While other dragons can be wicked, there is no pragmatism in the cruelty of black dragons...they do it for that brief rush, that insatiable urge...they will wreak havoc and suffering on others even to their own detriment...because it’s the only way they can feel anything.
There are rare exceptions. Some black dragons resist their nature and try to do good, despite their inability to care about it or feel anything. They find helping others difficult due to their inability to empathize, a sort of cold philanthropy making it hard for them to discern the best way to aid others. They live difficult and lonely lives, for even if people recognize their sacrifices and thank them...their praise and thanks makes them feel nothing. It’s entirely up to them to keep resisting their urges...unless through magic, they can find a way to understand and feel emotions.
There’s the extremely rare black dragon, ones who are born with the same ability to think and feel as others. Aside from Gira, there’s very few.
I think that’s an excellent way to view bards! They can really get into your head and discern what’s making you feel the way you are. With respect for their “patients” and their own power, they can do what armies of heroes couldn’t...take a villain and make them a hero.
A Bard’s Tale (Part 2)
Part 1
The story continues! Now acting as a sort of “house arrested” prisoner of the dragon Sigesar, Sieglinde tries her hand at slowly leaving a lasting impression on the beast, so that he can live a normal life without her…
The bard removed her hat, running a hand through her hair. She was lucky the hat hadn’t fallen off in that ride to the cave! As she shook the dust off of her cap and clothes, her eyes fell upon a figure in the distance. A shadow at the end of the cave, huddled behind a pillar, silently observing the pair. She couldn’t make out anything but a silhouette in the darkness.
Uh, Sigesar?”
The dragon, still charmed, was slow to answer. “Mph…yes?”
“There’s…someone else here.”
The beast looked confused for a moment. “An intruder?! Where?!”
The bard slowly pointed at the figure, who quickly darted behind the pillar, hiding.
The dragon looked like he was trying to piece something together. “N-no, no…he is…supposed to be here.”
“Uhh…why? Who is it?”
The beast furrowed his brows in concentration. “Hmm…he is…oh, right! I remember! He will attend to your needs.”
Sieglinde glanced over at the dragon. “He…what?”
“You!” the dragon cried, “Get over here!”
The figure emerged once more, quickly hurrying over.
