I feel that the absolute insanity of possibly overengineering a wheelchair is something that could be explored in stories. This is something I'm willing to do.

I literally have a Transformers AU/fan continuity where the MC is an ambulatory wheelchair user (because her legs are wobbly AF), and her brother's friend canonically makes the most batshit insane wheelchair he can reasonably make for a senior project. Because he's an engineer and wanted to explore making a non-cursed wheelchair and why not do something for his friend's little sister?
