5 reasons why Kagino doesn't work (and 3 reasons why Kalulu does)

I was planning to prepare the small analysis of the final scene of the last episode of the first season, but, given the latest events that have occurred on my other Code Geass page, I decided to postpone it and work on a publication that I had planned for the future: explaining why Kagino is the most forced ship in Code Geass, besides Lelouch and CC in the infamous movie Lelouch of the Aberration (you will know it as Lelouch of the Resurrection). Also why Kagino is one of the worst ships in Code Geass. Please note that I use the term ship because this is a fandom pairing. Gino was never a love interest for Kallen and vice versa, according to official material (including the series).

1.It's a forced ship. This ship was invented by the Newtype magazine, which was ProCluClu, after they tried to do the same with Xingke and the ship had no support. What is the need to promote this ship? Kallen was becoming too close to Lelouch for the liking of CluClu fans, so it had to get her rival out of the way, and what better way for her heart to have an owner other than Lelouch? Actually, there could be other ways, but even the CluClu shippers saw the chemistry and sexual tension between Lelouch and Kallen. She was a threat, from their point of view. I have emphasized this because ""coincidentally"" the CluClu shippers are the only ones who pair Kallen with Gino (yes, I'm seeing that they are realizing that they are losing credibility due to their bias, so they are trying to hide what they are pretending they are Shirlulu or Kalulu shippers; they clearly don't understand what they are doing wrong, right?). The other 0.0002% are people who ship them because they believe that CluClu is canon and Kallen is alone and deserves someone to take care of her heart, but, as Miley Cyrus said in her powerful song, Kallen can buy herself flowers, ask herself to dance, telling herself things that only she understands, holding her own hand and loving herself and being happy.
Kallen is a romantic interest of Lelouch. You can see their relationship develop and take on a romantic nature as the episodes go by in R2. There is a narrative construction. Unfortunately, I won't be able to track their relationship here since that requires a separate analysis.

2. The "other reasons" that accompany this ship are superficial. The ship background that I expressed above is the real reason. There are no other compelling reasons to pair Kallen and Gino apart from the fact that they are both handsome, the same age, they exchanged a few words, and they are Knightmares pilots. Still, for CluClu shippers, those reasons are enough to prove that they are "soulmates." It's complete nonsense. You have work colleagues or study partners and your mother or your friends or your teacher or your boss aren't matching you with any of them, right? Furthermore, Suzaku also meets these requirements and no one is pairing him with Kallen (for the record, I find this ship interesting; but I don't think it works in the context of the series either).
My point is that just because two people are contemporary, attractive and (more or less) doing the same job doesn't mean that they are each other's ideal partner or that love will arise between them. Love is a spontaneous and free thing, which brings me to my next point…

3. Gino and Kallen have no romantic attraction for each other or sexual tension. The biggest "evidence" there is in favor of this ship and surely what started this nonsense was a comment Gino makes in episode 9. But, far from demonstrating a romantic interest or sexual attraction for Kallen, it shows that the fandom has problems of reading comprehension. Let's see, read the comment: "Anya: This is the ace of the Black Knights. The pilot of the Guren. Gino: Yes, the one from before. She is much prettier than the wanted poster of her. "That's my kind of woman!" What does this tell us? 1. That Gino recognizes that Kallen is pretty. 2. That the type of women Gino is attracted to are pretty. There is a big difference between "I like women like you" and "I like you." Just because you appreciate a person's beauty doesn't automatically mean that you like him, that is orthodox and childish thinking (this makes me think of men with fragile masculinity who refuse to admit that another man seems handsome to them because they think they would look like homosexuals and they have been made to believe that masculinity and homosexuality don't go together). Even more important is Kallen's reaction, when he makes the comment: she just turns away. She doesn't smile or blush. Zero interest.

This is very different from what happens between Lelouch and Kallen. She does react to Lelouch's comments, no matter how minor they may be. Like this double entender in episode 5. "Kallen: Are you talking like Zero or Lelouch right now? Lelouch: It's not like everyone knows about our relationship, right? Kallen * blushes *: Stop saying weird things like that, okay?"

Just a few days ago I read a phrase on Twitter (or X) that said that the moment preceding the kiss was even more valuable than the kiss itself. That's where you find the so-called sexual tension and Lelouch and Kallen had two moments like that. Three, if you want to tell the dialogue that preceded the kiss in episode 22. I will go into more detail about the kiss and the two almost kisses of Lelouch and Kallen the day I'm going to talk about those things from theory. In fact, I don't want to stop to examine the romantic relationship between Lelouch and Kallen like I said.

Gino and Kallen never flirted or had intimate moments. At most, they only poked each other in the last Picture Drama, but it was a display of friendly rivalry. No other thing. Pretending that that never happened, there is one moment in particular that I want us to review, as I consider it crucial to explain why this ship doesn't work:

4. Gino didn't accept Kallen because of who she is. At some point in episode 17, Gino is looking for Suzaku and went to visit Kallen in her cell believing he was there. Instead of leaving, he shows her the photo album he was originally going to show Suzaku and they start talking about him (did I tell you that it makes more sense that Gino would be more romantically interested in Suzaku than in Kallen? I'll tell you again, so). The conversation changes and Gino starts talking about Kallen.
"Gino: I understand that you are half Britannian and half Japanese, right? If you chose the name Stadtfeld instead of Kouzuki, you could have a good life, right? Even become one of the Knights of the Round if you have such ambitions. Kallen: Is this going anywhere? Gino: What I mean is, wouldn't you like to come back to us, Kallen?" What is wrong here? That Gino doesn't understand nor is interested in understanding why Kallen chose to embrace the cause of the Japanese and the Black Knights. Instead, Gino brazenly advises her to abandon everything and join them since life is much more comfortable fighting on Britannia's side (this is the kind of flippant comment that comes from the mouth of a person who is in a position of privilege, if you ask me).
Gino doesn't realize that Kallen's motivations for fighting are tied to her principles and ideals. Therefore, this is like asking Kallen to give up who she is: an ally of justice, a patriotic woman, and a defender of freedom. This reflects a clear disinterest on Gino's part and this is a problem because you can't love someone without knowing them and accepting them for who they are.

This is in stark contrast to Lelouch. While Gino asks Kallen to turn her back on her beliefs, her values, and the people she cares about (the Japanese and her family), Lelouch prefers to push Kallen away from him rather than force her to give up her principles and her life for him because, for Lelouch, Kallen's well-being and integrity are much more important than being together. This is the true definition of love.

5. Gino and Kallen don't share principles. A couple doesn't have to be two conjoined twins. They may have different tastes, ways of thinking, preferences, interests, hobbies… If they truly love each other, they will learn to adapt to each other because one doesn't really change who they are for another person. But a couple needs to have, at least, the same values, ideals and life plans (I would add, also certain beliefs). Otherwise, it will be difficult for this relationship to prosper.
Gino is a Knight of the Round and has been an active collaborator in the conquest and colonization of independent nations. He clearly agrees with Britannia's expansionist policy. He has no problem with imperialism or colonialism. Kallen, on the other hand, belongs to the largest insurgent group fighting against Britannia and fighting in the name of freedom, justice and equality. She detests colonialism and imperialism due to her own experience, so she disagrees with expansionism. These discrepancies would prevent Gino and Kallen from having anything (that is, they wouldn't even have been friends).
Only Gino showed some empathy with Kallen, when Lelouch killed the Emperor and usurped the throne, claiming that he finally understood what it feels like to have another come to take power illegitimately and arbitrarily. However, a coup d'état is not the same as colonialism and, of course, this doesn't mean that Gino will change his principles. Only he's going to have a just reason to fight (finally). It would have been better if Gino had apologized to Kallen, but that was an act that required a great deal of effort.

Lelouch, for his part, is a rebel at heart like Kallen. He may have lied about many things, but he genuinely believes in the ideals that he has preached as Zero and Kallen welcomed them as her own because they fit her values, which are no different from Lelouch's. It's not a coincidence. There is a small parallel between the dramatic situation of the Japanese and that of Lelouch and Nunnally. They were all dispossessed of what they had, including their identity, and forced to live as strangers in their land. Therefore, Lelouch and Kallen are more compatible. Even if they hadn't met in Shijunku, sooner or later their paths would cross over their hatred of Britannia, their contempt for the empire's Social Darwinist ideology, and their desire to change the world (well, this desire would germinate in Kallen once she met to Lelouch who, in turn, would obtain it as soon as he received the Geass).
The same can be said about Lelouch's other ships, by the way. Shirley wants to be a loving wife and have a happy family, CC wants to die (at the end of the series, she is focused on living every small moment of her life to the fullest just like Jamie Foxx's character in Soul) and Suzaku wants to change.the system from within. I won't enter the swampy terrain of reviewing the ideals and values of these characters. It's not my goal.

In conclusion, Gino and Kallen don't stick with glue or tape. Lelouch is emerging as a more worthy suitor, despite everything. And, therefore, Karen-chan only has eyes for him. Kalulu is better.
PS: of course, a fanfic could correct all of these things. But I don't think it even exists and I'm focusing only on the series, too.

Oh??? My god??? Like??? I have to write this. I have to. I chose to write this so that things went a lot quicker than the 'bots thought it would, and I described how Megatron explained it. I hope you enjoy my take of it, OP.
Megatron had decided that he must be transparent with Orion.
It bewildered both of them that Orion was back, but Megatron knew it wouldn't last long if Megatron didn't satiate Orion's curiosity.
They got to a secluded room and Megatron began checking for wiretaps and cameras. Orion spent his time scanning the room to understand his surroundings. He was still overwhelmed and disoriented, and Megatron seemed anxious.
Not helpful to stay calm.
“Orion, look at me.” Megatron prompted when he was certain no one but Soundwave would be listening in.
Orion looked at Megatron with a tired smile before taking in the sad frown Megatron wore. His smile faded out completely and he fidgeted.
“Yes, Megatronus?” Orion asked cautiously.
Megatron slowly sat down across from Orion, the wear on his body becoming all the more clear to his partner. His body was so damaged and then so thoroughly repaired over and over but it would never be the same again.
"What happened to you?" Orion whispered.
"4 million years of war. That's what happened. And all that time, you were gone. The Matrix was given to you and you went into a...stasis of sorts, at least that's what I guess happened. This other personality emerged in you, and your form changed, and you weren't there. You were being puppeted around by this person, and I...it drove me to try and destroy you both, since he was now my enemy. I didn't know you were still in there." Megatron admitted.
Orion sat with that information, puzzling over his own features.
He was so much taller now, his fingertips were flat and ideal for typing...Orion felt his denta to realize those had been flattened too.
"Can...can we change parts of me back?" Orion asked softly.
Megatron's eyes lit up.
"You...you don't want to go back?"
"No. Of course not. Not if I'm stowed away like deep archives secrets. I genuinely believe that you are in the right here, wanting me to be safe as opposed to being a weapon."
Megatron looked so unbelievably relieved, a smile softening his weary features. He nodded.
"We can change parts of you back. I'm guessing the claws and denta?" Megatron seemed amused as he spoke. Orion nodded with a smile.
The following weeks were filled with a new sort of jubilation filling the ship. Orion, though new to their world, fit right in and was cheerful no matter what happened around him. He pack-bonded easily with the vehicons, worked well with Soundwave, snuck snacks and gossip to Knockout, and made Megatron so much calmer(indirectly benefiting Starscream because he wouldn't be thrown around so much).
No one had to be on pins and needles anymore.
That was...until the Autobots came looking.
The Autobots disrupted their world.
Most of the vehicons scattered, as their track record of being killed wasn't great and they weren't prepared. Soundwave was busy, but scrambled to figure out what was going on quickly enough to fix the issue by alerting Megatron and the rest of the higher command.
The Autobots had the Matrix with them, and had cornered Orion in his own quarters when Orion was in the middle of a recharge.
Orion was not happy about that.
They woke him up and were trying to force him to be something he wasn't. Orion was like a cornered animal, all growls and scratching and kicking and biting. He stubbornly held his sparkchamber shut as Ratchet fought to open it.
"Please, we just want to help you be who Primus said you were."
"Primus? HE'S DEAD, HOW WOULD HE KNOW WHO I AM! I don't need help and I don't want to go back, why aren't you listening to me!" Orion screamed, kicking himself free and making a break for it.
They stared after him with shock for a moment before rushing after him, speaking into their comms as they went. They were organizing themselves, and Orion started to shout for Megatron or anyone to help him.
Megatron stood at the end of the hall with Soundwave and Starscream beside him. His glare could kill anyone who saw it.
The Autobots were all bridged off one by one with Orion as bait.
"That's enough of you." Megatron growled as Ratchet slid into the jump of the bridge. Soundwave nodded in agreement before they all started to gently check Orion over.
"I think he bent some of my frame while trying to pry it. Fuck that...I hate worrying about being me." Orion grumbled. Starscream sighed and nodded in agreement with Orion's assessment.
Soundwave nodded in acknowledgement before gently patting him on the helm. Starscream dismissed himself with a groan--his own recharge cycle had been interrupted and he was eager to return to it. Megatron looked tired, but amused.
"That was all of the Autobots, right?" Megatron asked Soundwave finally. Soundwave hesitated.
"Bumblebee..." Soundwave whispered. Orion's brow scrunched.
"Soundwave! Oh my Primus...we have a small yellow thing to hunt down..." Megatron sighed. "Stay close to me, Orion. I'm not surprised if they try to get back onboard using Bumblebee's tracking signature."
"Sorry. A little preoccupied...locked on...Shockwave alive." Soundwave apologized, bowing his head.
"Well! That is a surprise. Okay. Shockwave later, Bumblebee now. Much as Bumblebee very much is Orion's kid, I think we need to get him off the ship and get the ship off the Autobots' radar as fast as possible." Megatron sighed.
"I'll handle it. I have guns, remember? Threats can be given. And he is still my son." Orion assured Megatron. Megatron's lips twitched into a smile.
"I trust you. Just don't get yanked off the ship. Soundwave, keep an eye on him, I need to reassign some vehicons."
Megatron stalked off and Soundwave tilted his head at Orion to prompt him forward. Orion nodded.
I'll leave it here, but I really loved how you explained it. I chose chaos, so Orion wasn't even dragged off the ship because he is still quite a bit taller and more stubborn than the Autobots are due to his upbringing and the modifications the Matrix made to his frame.
Tbh I really love the idea of, during the Orion Pax arc, Megatron just tells him "yeah you took the matrix but it completely warped you into someone else. It ruined our relationship, the other guy puppeting your body became my sworn enemy, and we've been fighting for like 4 million years". And Orion ofc remembers none of that but hates every bit of it.
And later, the autobots have to drag Orion back kicking and screaming and force the matrix back into him, because he DOES NOT WANT THAT SHIT!! That stupid old boomerang took all his memories and made him into a different person! He forgot all the love he had for his would-be mate! It made him turn his back on the oppressed people that actually needed him! It destroyed the life he and Megatronus were going to build together! No, no, NO! He's not going back and you can't make him! Fighting with all his strength to get away from them, struggling to hold his chassis closed, yelling as loud as he can for Megatronus to help him and not let them take him away a second time

🐊 Crocodile rarely ever saw {Name's} temper go beyond annoyance or irritation. There had never been a precedent where he could say that he saw {Name} genuinely angry. Crocodile enjoyed that little dynamic between the two of them. Seeing that he would be the one to get angry or worked up over situations and {Name} was able to still see the situation from a level headed perspective. Even more than that, {Name} is an individual who teeters more towards being quiet. Crocodile had come to appreciate their moments of talking beyond their usual amount and found it quite precious. In fact, many knew {Name}to be so quiet. That when they did speak, everyone would listen.
🐊 It only took a moment. A moment from when Crocodile had left the room to address a small issue and had left {Name} to their own devices. To when he opened the door to be greeted by the most unexpected scene of {Name} radiating an air of fury and sporting a never seen before expression that correlated to the rage that made the atmosphere of the room heavy. The person before them snickered, acted with indignation and arrogance. Every word, action and second of their annoyance wound {Name's} temper tighter before the silent snap.
🐊 {Name} had attempted to diffuse the situation, the manner of their speech and soft spoken nature came across as timid. The person ignored {Name's} words. Countless times and mocked their "weak" demeanour. {Name} sighed, and within the blink of an eye, their hand was over the rude individuals mouth. The vice like grip did not even let a single breath in nor out. A hand rose to hit {Name}, stopped in its tracks by their right hand. "I have asked politely. Only now that I have silenced that vulgar mouth, can you listen to my words." {Name} spoke in their usual tone, without raising a single decibal. Struggling in {Name's} grip, and finally being dropped to the ground. The individual in question felt humiliation and tried to incite violence before having his arm broken by {Name}.
🐊 Crocodile dropped his newly lit cigar at the sight before him. Violence, fights, incidents and arguments were nothing new... but seeing {Name} driven to a degree of rage where they had chosen violence as their end all for the issue was an unbelievable sight. While unusual, it was not unwelcome. If anything Crocodile felt a hint of admiration, and relief seeing that his partner could get that angry. He often worried about them being caught in unfortunate situations and not being one to anger would experience people trying to walk over them.
🐊 Crocodile quickly cleaned up the mess and dragged away the screaming person who sobbed about his arm. Crocodile held a look of concern on his face, wondering what could have been done or said to enrage them so much. "My dear..." Crocodile lowered his voice, as if to approach the question cautiously. {Name} smiled with an apologetic look "I'm sorry you had to see that" their voice returned to the gentle manner that Crocodile is accustomed to. "Hearing insults, upon ignorance, misconstrued ideals and just otherwise open hatred for others really irked me" {Name} stated with a frown, showing the displeasure they felt even when simply recalling the matter.
🐊 Crocodile listened intently, gently placing his hand on {Name's} back and few awkward, well meant pats. The action is awkward and restrained but {Name} understands what Crocodile is trying to convey by doing so. While still being worked up by the previous situation they slowly started to wind down and relax. After a short moment, {Name} offered a reassuring smile "I'm all good." The incident would stay ingrained in Crocodiles memory for a long time. Both from being impressed but also a slight anxiety if should he ever be caught on the receiving end of that anger.

Monkey D. Luffy

🍖 Between {Name} and Luffy, existed the stark contrast of Luffy's outward, loud and hyperactive nature. While {Name} always appeared much more quiet, calm and reserved. When placing two polar opposite individuals side by side; it only felt as if these differences were greatly emphasized. In another comparison of their temperaments, the crew had rarely ever observed {Name} getting angry. Luffy usually is the one who reached breaking point. Though truthfully, no one had even seen {Name} get annoyed.
🍖 The Straw-Hats themselves could be considered rowdy but even so they were not unpleasant to be around and did not create an uncomfortable atmosphere. Compared to a similarly rowdy table that sat not too far off from them. Swearing, being rude to the people who came to serve them, grabbing strangers inappropriately and making jokes out of people. This already peeved many of the patrons. Its tolerable until their sole attention turns towards the Straw-Hat crew. They leer at Robin and Nami, and begins making mocking and less than pleasant comments towards the crew. Luffy's jovial attitude steadily died down and the crew grew nervous when Luffy had stopped eating. Luffy was a single push away, and yet {Name} had been the one to stand up.
🍖 Taking a calm walk over to the table, perhaps the atmosphere that surrounded {Name} in contrast to how calm their actions were was already unsettling. "Please apologise for your rude remarks..." they politely asked, however the one who had instigated the issue in the first place had no apology. Instead he laughed at {Name} and showing no remorse for his disrespectful actions and continued the ruckus. Their hand made its way into the man's greasy hair, and using their strength to drive his head into the table. The force of which broke the table. The noisy man lay unconscious and everything happened so quickly it took a moment for everyone to process what they just witnessed. Luffy was surprised to see his partner get so angry as was the rest of the crew.
🍖 The mood of the restaurant shifted after the incident. Some people were relieved that the blabbering fool had finally been silenced, others were still amazed by the scene of {Name} breaking the table with his face. An uneasy feeling settled in the restaurant; the awe and shock alike kept people silent with no more than a few stray whispers. Suddenly Luffy bursts out laughing. Walking over to check up on {Name} and make sure they weren't hurt anywhere. He smiles, relieved there is no injury. In his words he further compliments them saying just how strong they are and that it is very impressive.
🍖 Up until this point Luffy had listened to all the crude remarks. Thus knew exactly why {Name} had gotten so worked up and even reacted the way they did. No one on the crew had ever seen them angry, let alone violent to that extent. Luffy's nonchalant attitude made the situation more light hearted than the grim environment around them. Without warning, Luffy had riled up the crew who all sprung up from their silence into cheer. The joy seemed infectious and their immediate surroundings turned a little more merry.
🍖 Luffy's attempt at alleviating the tension and helping {Name} settle a little more proved successful. {Name} had space to take a deep breath and calm down. Seeing that it took so much to wind {Name} up and finally reaching their breaking point made it hard to settle. The rage that rises and permeated their whole body makes it easy to see why {Name} is usually reluctant to get angry. Luffy easily took the edge off and helped to cheer them up. A little bit of laughter helped the anger to fade relatively quickly.

Roronoa Zoro

⚔ If there was any fact that Zoro could attest to, it would be the fact that [Name's} usual demeanour is the most welcome form of reprieve. It was an interesting balance and contrast they brought to the crew. Considering {Name} is on the quiet side and with a comparably shy nature. From the otherwise rambunctious crew it is a welcome change. Sometimes Zoro wondered how such a quiet person still managed to be heard above the noise, but thankfully the crew always took time to listen.
⚔ Wherever there is alcohol there is a good chance to encounter someone who may have had a little too much to drink. Even amongst the drunks there are the merry few, and the not so pleasant ones as well. It started with {Name} just trying to fetch a drink and make their way back to Zoro. The man drunkenly stumbled and hit into {Name} who managed to save their drink and apologise to avoid any issue. In spite of their attempts to keep things amicable, the man did not see it that way and began prodding {Name} with a callous finger and crude words. Zoro sat across the way, enjoying his drink and wondering what had been keeping {Name}. From what he could see, he found his question answered.
⚔ {Name's} expression darkened with every passing second. Their expression may have appeared normal to everyone else, but to Zoro, who knew them well... He read the room faster than anyone else when he saw the look in {Name's} eyes. {Name} heaved out a disappointed sigh, and smashed their tankard against the drunk's head. Stumbling and falling to the ground, covered in alcohol. {Name} offered a chilling smile that made the man tremble. “Sometimes its best to leave well enough alone, don't you agree?” They stated softly. The man scurried away, leaving {Name} to dry their hands off.
⚔ Zoro takes his hand away from his katana, smiling at the way his partner had taken care of the situation. He felt a twinge of regret that he was not quick enough to help, but felt equally reassured that {Name} took care of themselves so well. He walked over to {Name}, handing a new drink to them. They thanked him but the slight shake in their voice indicated they were still holding themselves back.
⚔ Zoro didn't rehash the same issue or inquire for the finer details of the issue. He smiled and offered a hand to {Name}, trying to help them relax and get back into the festive swing of the party to forget the earlier irksome situation. In truth, Zoro sometimes viewed himself as petty, considering he put a target on the drunkards back which he would be sure to take care of before the night is up.
⚔ {Name} settled into the seat, enjoying Zoro's company who just spoke of some of the various things he had seen happening in the party. Including Luffy accidentally swallowing some of the plates and bowls while eating. Zoro slowed his drinking paced, trying to match {Name} who leisurely sipped their drink. The atmosphere was that of a typical shindig, energetic and a little chaotic. The atmosphere became pleasant after the situation, enough for {Name} to completely calm down and enjoy the party.

🛠 Everyone who saw Kid and {Name} at first glance, thought them to be quite a mismatched pair. Just on the surface for those who did not know the couple that well. Especially seeing how frequently they would lock horns over various problems. {Name} is quiet albeit very headstrong and easily stands their ground. Considering their nature, the first impression of one another was not favourable. Kid easily spoke over {Name} until he got to know them. When that happened, Kid steadily grew more considerate towards them. Gravitating towards an attraction he could not explain.
🛠 {Name} awaited the return of their crew after running some errands, restocking and such. They finished earlier than everyone else it seemed. Every island seemed to have pirates whether from famous crews or relatively small ones. The result of which brought marines. {Name} decided to avoid the hassle that would come with getting involved and turned to find elsewhere to wait for their crew. One of the younger marines, possibly a new recruit must have spotted {Name} and began causing a scene. Having the reputation of a pirate meant that most would look upon the marine as the justified one.
🛠 {Name} decided that it would be best if they just avoided the trouble interacting with the marine would bring. In doing so, they slipped away from the crowd and headed into a nearby pub. Chances are the crew would have gone there anyway to grab a drink before embarking on the next long stretch of sailing. {Name's} guess was correct, even down to the place they would be. The moment the crew walked in there was a sudden need to dodge the marine that had just been tossed across the pub like a ragdoll. {Name} broke a chair over the head of the other and finally grabbed one uncomfortably hard. Their head began making unnatural creaking sounds under the death like grip. The marine had no choice but to flail about and spout as many apologies they could muster for {Name} to calm down.
🛠 Kid's first impression of the situation thought that a rowdy bar brawl would ensue, and feels ready for a little fighting. He finally takes in the entire situation, the central figure of the situation being his partner... Killer spots all the bloody and battered marines. Killer only mustered a sigh when he thought about the repercussions, no doubt it was the Marines fault for working {Name} up that much. Kid on the other hand, burst out laughing. A large grin spread across his lips “I knew you had it in you baby!” He heartedly laughed, the unfamiliarity and somewhat brutal act of it all proved more amusing than anything to Kid.
🛠 Now although Kid is truly amused and impressed, he also had a nagging curiosity he felt a need to satisfy. The simple question of why. Why had his quiet partner gotten that angry? Even with a hounding provocation he had never seen {Name} pushed to such lengths. Kid's eyes fixated on the marines, glaring towards them with disdain. He wanted to call them pathetic and disregard them after seeing how pitifully they begged for mercy from {Name}.
🛠 Kid didn't think that the ones grovelling deserved any mercy to begin with. It was completely self inflicted and a situation of their own making. Kid in the rare times of seeing {Name} get angry knew that they were not a person who facilitated things like rage well. And so for their sake, the situation was dealt with quickly and then Kid dragged them along with the rest of the crew. Finding somewhere to grab a drink, eat a bunch and deal with the aftermath of the situation. Kid truly wanted to give the marines another taste of being crushed ruthlessly but decided against it, since the way {Name} left them is perfect.

I'm in a relationship with this guy and to be honest the more I get to know him on a deeper level the more I feel like he's out of my league. I'm a good person but he's a great one, I'm good looking but he's gorgeous, I'm smart but he's brilliant, ect. Alone I seem pretty okay but he is all around out of my league. I work on my self but I'm scared even then I won't be enough. I haven't told him about how I feel, I don't want him to realize just how insecure I really am. I'm lost, please help!
This is tough for a lot of people. It’s not even just in relationships, but in general. The deeper issue is that you never feel good enough in life, especially when it comes to other people. I will specifically focus on that aspect today.
I’m asking questions because you haven’t taken the time to look within yourself because you’re so focused on someone else all of the time. You may want to get a notebook or laptop and jot this all down. You don’t have to tell him right now, make it a private thing.
Overcoming Inadequacy in Dynamics
1. Reflect.
Have you always felt inadequate in life? When did this start?
What early experiences have shaped you to feel out of someone’s league in love or friendships? Your dynamics with people can create a mindset automatically without you even realizing it.
As you have noticed, this chronic feeling of inadequacy can greatly impact your future endeavors, even a relationship. If you never give yourself enough credit or acknowledge your positive attributes (along with your weaknesses that you’re working on), you will continue to destroy your confidence piece by piece.
Is it a societal issue, like pressures early on that you experienced? Is it by some inner standard that you feel like you’re failing to meet? Either way, are the expectations for yourself irrational in some form or fashion? These questions are your “why” to get to the root of your feelings of inadequacy.
2. Be honest.
Be honest about what you’ve been avoiding. In order to tackle this, you have to dig deep and come to face some truths.
For example: Have you held your partner to a different standard than yourself? Meaning, is he on some sort of pedestal due to the natural high of being in a relationship? Have you idealized your boyfriend in a way that has hurt you in the long run?
Nobody is a perfect person. Even someone you adore very much, and think has every quality you aspire to have. Everyone has their set of strengths and weaknesses. When you are honest with yourself, you can realize that you have your own set of strengths that you are ignoring while focusing on him.
You must come to terms with your feelings and expressing them. Maybe, it feels wrong, or shameful. But you must make it a habit of being honest with yourself about how you feel, so you can stop irrational or anxious feelings in its tracks. You may have a right to your negative feelings, but you do not have to identify or become them.
Here is a well known psychological exercise:
“The hardest thing about being honest with myself about what I am feeling is _______.”
“The hardest thing about being honest with others about what I am feeling is ______.”
You can make more of these as you dig deep. This way, you can learn how to have honest communication with anyone in life without feeling shameful or inadequate. Coming to your own truth on your own honors your experience, and validates your power.
3. It’s about you.
When is the last time you actually focused on yourself in a healthy way, without the harshness of an inner critic seeking perfection?
*A relationship is not just about the pleasure of one person. It’s about both of you. Any relationship in life is for the betterment of both people.*
Remind yourself it’s not about racing to get someone else’s approval. Not feeling good enough is tied to desiring approval as well.
What about your desires in life? Your wants and needs are a driving force in any relationship. I often speak of boundaries on my blog. This comes from knowing your values, and asking the respect out of those around you. Identify your wants and needs for this dynamic. Identify your desires in your life. It’s healthy for the relationship to focus on both of your desires. It’s unhealthy for one person to cater to one person’s desires. You cannot lose sight of yourself, and lose your own power.
4. Practice love.
The star struck attitude you have with others, you have to have with yourself. As weird as that sounds, you have to begin to create the person you want to become. Some areas may be irrational, but if there are areas you need to change about yourself, then you have to love yourself enough to take yourself on that journey.
Your steps so far are pretty good because you recognized there was a problem. But you have to take action and stop feeling sorry for yourself. At some point, enough is enough and you have to feel tired. You have to replace this pain with love. You have to practice worthiness. When will you decide you are just as worthy as other people in your life?
After reflecting in these ways, it will help you foster a genuine, heart to heart conversation where both of you can learn from it. It’s hard to be in a relationship if you don’t identify with your shame and make it known. The last thing you want to do is project it. You’re a work in progress, so, it’s up to you to continue that regardless of how that may look to him. Hope this helps.

From director Emma Holly Jones and writer Suzanne Allain (based on her book of the same name), Mr. Malcolm's List is a rom-com with so many familiar genre trappings — only it happens to be set in 1800s England, where the titular Mr. Jeremiah Malcolm (Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù) is a much sought-after single gentleman who finds himself in want of a wife. The only thorny aspect is that he's made a list of standards that any potential bride is required to meet, and any he finds wanting in some manner is quickly and summarily discarded. When Julia Thistlewaite (Zawe Ashton) becomes the latest woman rejected by Mr. Malcolm — and made a laughingstock in society as a result — she reaches out to her long-time friend Selina Dalton (Freida Pinto) to assist her in hatching a plot of revenge. The plan? Selina will present herself as the ideal potential wife, emblematic of every qualification of Mr. Malcolm's list, only to turn around and reject him publicly so that he can experience the same mortification. However, as Julia and her cousin Lord Cassidy (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) prepare Selina to become Mr. Malcolm's perfect match, Selina finds herself falling for the man she's supposed to ruin. The film also stars Theo James, Ashley Park, Divian Ladwa, Naoko Mori, Sophie Vavasseur, and Sianad Gregory.
Ahead of the film's July 1 premiere, Collider had the opportunity to speak with Ashton about starring in the Regency-era romance feature — she takes over the role originally played by Gemma Chan in the 2019 short film, also directed by Jones — and how she immediately recognized the complexities in Julia's character. Over the course of the interview, which you can read below, Ashton discusses why Julia feels so relatable in her journey, why it was easier to play the "antihero love story," what people might be surprised to learn about James as a scene partner, finding ways to link the story to her own cultural lineage, and more.
Collider: First of all, I just have to say I lost track of the number of times you got me to crack up with just even a single sound of indignation.
ZAWE ASHTON: Thank you very much. I worked hard on those noises.
I know that you joined the movie after they had already made the short film, but I'm curious as to how the role of Julia fell into your lap. What was the casting process like?
ASHTON: Well, I still actually don't 100% know. Freida Pinto and I had worked together on a show called Guerilla in the UK years ago, and she's an executive producer on this film as well as being a complete dreamboat actress. I think she maybe mentioned me because she had that productorial voice, and once the call came in, I had about 24 hours to read the script and meet with Emma and make a decision. There were just so many green flags about the whole project that it kind of was a no-brainer, to be honest.
Julia is a character who could very easily come across as one-dimensional, but she's very complex and layered. How did you want to showcase those deeper sides of her? Because I think it makes her motivations understandable and even relatable at times.
ASHTON: I'm so glad you said that, because that was my intention from the beginning. I read the script and I thought, "First of all, there's intersections of genres that I love here, rom-com and Regency." That was a really releasing way in, because I could almost immediately start to find contemporary relatable elements to her. I think I said to Emma in our meeting that she feels like the Regency Bridget Jones. She's four seasons in without a match, and society and their expectations are starting to close in on her. The pressure from her mother is starting to mount, and making a match that isn't for love is completely outside of her deepest desire. So I thought, "Wow, this feels so relatable." Lots of people can really understand when that pressure starts to build, and yet you want to stay true to your desires and objectives.
So I read her instantly as quite complex, and then she walks this crazy line partway through the film where it just starts to turn into a revenge story, and she makes some bad decisions. I had to root those again in the circumstances of what was going on for her at the time. She felt very pressurized, and she felt like she wasn't where she wanted to be, and that can make us all do crazy things. But then I love this humbling that she has and then this redemption where she gets to find the love of her life by actually exposing her flaws, which is just a really refreshing take on a character like this.
I'm glad that you brought up her romance, because I loved the dynamic between Julia and Captain Ossory. T your point, he is somebody who sees her kind of at her worst and then chooses her not in spite of, but because of what she reveals. How did you and Theo work together to capture that dynamic? Because the two of you have that great repartee that gives way to deeper feelings.
ASHTON: Thank you. Well, we have the easier job playing the antihero love story, the enemies becoming lovers story, rather than carrying sort of the emotionality that Freida and Ṣọpẹ do so beautifully. Theo is someone whose work I was aware of way, way, way before we collaborated on this, but also we have lots of people in common, so there was a familiarity there off the bat. He's also such a kook. He's comedy central. He does such brooding, gorgeous work on screen in huge franchises, and actually maybe what he hasn't shown yet is how quirky he is as a human being. We just clicked instantly, and I feel one of the main challenges was actually keeping a straight face working with him as a scene partner. I think that lends itself to the tonality of the film. There is a fizzy energy underneath the slightly more repressed nature of the genre, and that was probably just coming through us trying not to laugh at each other, to be honest.
One of the things that really struck me about this movie is that the friendship between Julia and Selina feels as important and as emotional as the romance between Mr. Malcolm and Selina, or even the romance between Julia and Captain Ossory. Was there anything that you and Freida worked on behind the scenes to strengthen the dynamic that we see in front of the camera?
ASHTON: Half of the job was completely having a meeting of minds on how important the female love story was in the movie. We both really wanted that fresh take to come through as palpably as possible, and we weren't afraid of showing the flaws in the relationship either. We didn't want to be cute about it. We wanted it to be as fully dimensional as any female friendship is, any sisterhood is. There are always ups and downs. There are always misunderstandings. There are fallouts and great times as well as sad times. That was the main thing for us, to show a real warts-and-all female friendship despite this being a light Regency romance.
We worked really hard together off-camera to connect to our most authentic cultural selves as well and really bring that out in each other. We've seen so many period dramas over the years. It's totally part of our iconography, but let's think about our own cultural lineages and all of the stories that exist within that are not far off of Jane Austen. I'm a huge Bollywood fan. You want to see some films that are about punishing people who marry out of their class? So it was almost finding Jane Austen-inspired moments that linked directly somehow to our own cultural lineages, and that was really, really, really purposeful, and again, bonding. (x)

["Protecting the Fragile Self
White women also expressed fears of commitment, though these revolved around fears of losing the self. Kelly, a twenty-eight-year-old line cook, told her coming of age story as a long process of learning to trust and rely only on herself to survive. Over the past ten years, she has struggled to survive, living off and on in her car and battling a drug addiction that was memorialized by the faded scars that lined her arms (see Chapter 5 for an in-depth examination of narratives of addiction). Kelly has fought hard for her present sense of sobriety, independence, and security. When our conversation turned to relationships, she said that while she liked "the idea of marriage," she was not actively pursuing it.
K: I like the idea of being with someone, but I have a hard time imagining trusting anybody with all of my personal stuff which is a really big part of being in a relationship. It's being able to share and trust and that's something that I do when I'm in a relationship is I try to edit out things, not like facts, but parts of my personality. And I found that I was just turning into someone that I really didn't like. Like in the process of editing out the crazy parts of myself, I was also editing out the interesting parts too and just found like I was becoming someone who was just really bland, insecure, and that's not what I wanted to be. JS: OK, so you'd rather… K: I'd rather be alone and fierce than be in a relationship and be milquetoast.
Kelly's relationship ideal is based on therapeutic notions of sharing one's deepest self: she will not sacrifice this ideal— or the "crazy parts of [her] self" it upholds— in order to ensure that a man stays with her. Her sense of self, while hard-won, is also tenuous, and she cannot risk losing it in a relationship with someone else. For working-class women who have grown up shouldering immense social and economic burdens on their own, depending on another person feels too perilous. Thus, they view therapeutic ideals of romance as liberating (Illouz 2007)— even if it means being alone.
This fear of losing oneself also came through strongly among the three white women who identified as lesbians. Monica, a thirty-one-year-old art student who previously worked as a truck driver, has decided to postpone committed relationships until she feels more stable with who she is.
JS: So you don't want a lifetime partner right now? M: Not at all. Because I get, like, too wound up and spend too much time in a relationship and then kind of lose track of what else is going on in my life. So yeah, I really need to be single right now. It's hard. I get so meshed and like… I even lose sight of what I like to do. All things are like, true to me. And then when I get out of the relationship I'm like… JS: Where am I? M: Where am I? Why do I sew now? I don't even like to sew.
Similarly, Lauren, who had been on her own since her father kicked her out of the house for being gay, did not want a partner who would threaten the autonomy that she had fought so hard for: "I want someone who has, you know, similarly overcome their respective obstacles and learned and grown from them, rather than someone who is bogged down by it and is always the victim." Thus, while she longs for a "Princess Charming" to share her life with, she will not risk being with someone who drains her emotionally. When lesbian women lose their family's (and the larger society's) support, they learn the vital importance of being able to make it on their own.
For other white women, however, this seeming freedom paled in comparison to the imagined stability of the past:
Like I said, I'm one of those women…. not a lot of women want to be barefoot and pregnant and be a housewife, and that's what I wanna do. I would love to meet a man who wanted to work all day and come home and have dinner, and I could stay home and garden and take care of the kids. i love to do all of that, so being a woman to me is… gender issues are not a problem. I'm happy being a woman and I'm happy being taken care of, and hey if you don't want me in your club because I'm a girl, who cares: I'll go join a girl club, whatever.
In this passage, Delores gives voice to a backlash against feminist promises of egalitarian gender relationships. Indeed, the "unsettling conditions of postindustrial society and the global economy only seem to have intensified cravings for security," fueling a desire to return to both the restrictions and the protections of the industrial family (Stacey 1998: 260)."]

hey so i'm looking to figure my sorting out. i'm p sure of my secondary but honestly i've gone in circles so many times that i'd believe anything lmao
so i guess to start like. i'm fairly sure i'm an idealist, but with a twist. i care about making the world a better place-- i'm kinda infamous among my friends for being a little TOO outspoken about my opinions. on a small scale, i have strong opinions about a lot of things, but on a larger scale... idk. i don't think any one person can know what an ideal world looks like cause there really is no such thing. there are literally countless variables when it comes to implementing even small systems, countless ways to fuck it up, so i don't think i'd be choosing some grand ideal over the people i love anytime soon.
that being said, i think my idealist streak gets directed into something else most of the time. i'm very focused on understanding myself to a fault. i want to know why i do the things i do, why i believe certain things over others. when it comes to my beliefs about the world, they're strong but take it or leave it, but when it comes to myself they are not a good idea to push. i've ended relationships over not feeling like myself with them or feeling like i'm losing myself or they're pushing me to be someone i'm not. i make strong instant decisions about what the "right" thing to do is when it comes to how it impacts my perception of myself, especially with intimate relationships (i'm a lot less impulsive with things like friends and things i'm less personally involved in). i NEED to know who i am, way more than i care about any one specific person or thing. obviously i love people very deeply and would do just about anything to have both, but if i don't know who i am, if i'm not true to myself, then i have nothing. losing people happens.
the issue is, because i'm prone to doing that and not thinking as much about how it'll impact people, i've been called selfish a lot over my lifetime. recently i've started thinking more about how my actions impact people and their feelings, and i'm feeling a lot more torn. i want to do what i want to do, what i feel is best, but i feel immature for doing it a lot. i've started worrying a lot about being a bad person and hurting people, and i've been thinking about how the "right" way to be is. i went through a phase where i was repressing myself to make the "moral" choice, but i just felt so flat. ultimately i realized that it doesn't really matter how good i am if i have to repress myself to get there, cause then all it is is performance. tldr is i feel super guilty for making "selfish" choices rn, especially as i've gotten more aware of other peoples' feelings.
what i think is probably going on is that i'm an idealist primary with a badger model, but i'm not sure between lion and bird, and i'm still open to badger. pretty sure i'm not a snake.
the section on my secondary's gonna be a lot shorter, sorry this got so long! so i'm p sure i'm a badger secondary. considered lion and snake secondary too. whatever i am, i have a p loud lion model over it. i've always had a gift for making people trust me, for acting. i kinda blend in and become what i need to to both help them and get them off my back so i can do what i need to do. i have a serious passion for helping people with tough love (i like to think of myself as a p good advice giver, since i can both tell people what they need to hear and really get in their shoes and be kind where other people might not). i think i judge myself the least when i can kinda toe that line between pushing boundaries and stepping back-- i track where peoples' boundaries are constantly so i can push them to the limit without stepping over them. i'm very fluid when it comes to presentation in reality, even though i think people actually think of me as kinda controversial. i tend to see people who are ACTUALLY overstepping boundaries as lowkey selfish at times, even though i also really respect them. i like to do things the "right" way as long as i give a shit about them. the catch is, i don't want to blend into the background, and i don't think i do. a partner of mine called me a fox cause he noticed the way i constantly toe that line where i can get people to notice me and still keep them off my back, still make them comfortable. i'm also NOT a planner. people constantly give me shit for only ever feeling things out in the moment, and honestly thinking about the future freaks me out. i don't want to plan how i do shit i'd rather just get in the zone and figure it out from there. tldr i'm pretty sure i'm a badger secondary? but i could be convinced of snake. definitely see elements of both but my gut's telling me badger so take that how you will

also sorry one thing i forgot to add about my secondary! i think my lion model got so loud because when i do the shifty presentation thing, i have a tendency to lose myself and start perceiving myself as whatever i'm presenting. it's made it really hard to figure out who i actually am and so i started just being as clear about it as possible.
for my primary, i really care a lot about being right. i try to take every side into consideration to make sure i get the best conclusion. i can be super stubborn when it comes to certain things, but i don't want to just... hold to perceptions that are wrong. that being said it's important to me to trust my gut and i take it as a big input. i'm very felt out for most things, don't really have a strong system of how to be. i really wanna be able to trust myself but i just don't. i have a big habit of relying on other people to tell me what to think, which is uh. yeah.
Primary
You're a Bird primary with a Lion model, and you're trying on some Badger ideals. That's one of the easier Sorts I've done, lol! Possibly because your primary and models actually House match mine :p
Your reasoning process screams Bird xD and so does your writing style and just the length of the ask. Birds love self-analysis, it's part of how we make sure our systems stay as close to true as we can make them.
You've got some Lion too, but it's a model. It sounds like your Lion and your Bird have come into conflict before, and like most Birds with Lion models, it bugs the snot out of you when your Lion's intuition (which is important data!) doesn't line up with what your Bird knows.
You've prioritized Bird's conclusions before, but (as with many Birds) you don't entirely trust your own system and you're wondering if your Lion might have been right and you should give its reasoning more weight.
Also, you're consciously deciding that maybe Badgers' way of doing things is more moral than yours, and you're pulling in some of those ideals. That doesn't make you a Badger primary. Birds are notorious for this kind of thing actually 😂
The line between whether some ideals you've pulled into your Bird system vs. what counts as a model is fuzzy. It's up to you really, how important those pieces of Badger are to you.
For me, I think the line might be--is it wired into your sense of self on its own, or does it get filtered through your Bird and Lion? It really sounds like your Lion is a strong part of your sense of self: if you ignore its advice, you feel not totally like yourself. You don't have to feel all your models equally strongly, but thinking of it that way might help.
(It's also hard because Birds often feel like they kind of are their systems, or they are their ability to reason, that's a core part of their identity. ...It's complicated.)
Secondary
You sound really really Snakey. I'm not sure where you're getting Badger, actually!
Badgers are more than the mirroring ability. They also bury themselves in work or community, and it can sometimes look like they're neck deep in so many responsibilities that they couldn't possibly handle any more problems--and then they do have a problem, they do need something, and they stand up and all that stuff they were buried in turns out to be armor and tools.
Snakes, otoh, are improvisational and tend to be very aware of their surroundings. Unlike Badgers, the Snake brand of social shapeshifting involves a lot of keeping track of other people's reactions to what they're doing--trying something and then watching the response, then adjusting, rinse and repeat. You turn yourself into exactly the right person for this situation.
Badger mirroring is usually simpler. You reflect the other person's energy back at them: it's an empathetic response that says we're alike, I accept you, you're safe. A lot of Badgers do this without thinking--it can be hard to turn off.
Snakes also don't go in for prep work as much, it tends to trip them up (Snakes with Badger or Bird models notwithstanding). They're Improvisational secondaries, unlike Bird and Badger which are Built and rely heavily on some form of preparation.
The Lion model sounds legit, but just check for yourself: you might be learning to use Snake's neutral state. Snakes will sometimes drop all their layers of acting and maneuvering and suddenly they're just themselves. Different Snakes have different relationships with neutral state. For some Snakes, it's a relief to drop the mask; for others, it feels vulnerable and they only trust certain people with their full authenticity.

Not really an ask, just needed to share. I started law school this year, and there is a guy in my section who looks just like Sy! He is bald instead of buzzed, but the same facial hair and SO handsome. I am at least 10 years older than most of my classmates, but he did two tours in the military, so he’s only a few years younger than me. I have such a huge crush, it’s embarrassing. I know it’s so much worse because I make him as sweet and perfect in my head as your Sy, but I’d definitely like him even without your lovely stories egging me on. We are both really introverted, but working on becoming his friend, studying together and stuff. Going for the slow-burn friends to lovers delusion to make myself feel better that he’s way out of my league on the hotness scale. I mean, law school is 3 years. It could work 🤷🏻‍♀️

All I can say is WOW! It's just not fair how handsome some guys are is it? I love a bald look too, so I'm completely on board with you here.
I would suggest you take a breath though. I know you said you're both introverted, but being a bit older than your class mates will give you something to bond over.
I do want to point out (to anyone who reads this, not just to you) that Sy (and any other fictional character) is a fantasy, an ideal, no guy is going to live up to him, not in real life, so try not to put those expectations on any man, because it's just not fair. And you will always end up disappointed. Im not saying you shouldn't want a man as close to ideal as possible, just be realistic, you know?
I would agree you should try to put aside any feelings of relationship expectations and just get to know him. I think you are on the right track there. Friendships are beneficial, and you can have guy friends too. Try not to think about where a relationship can go and just make a new friend. Yeah of course having a boyfriend, a partner is something you may want, but having friends are important too.
He's not going to be Sy, he's going to be his own man, and discovering who he is as a person will have its own rewards.
Keep me updated if you want. And ignore anything/everything I said if you want to. It's just me talking out of my arse here.
(except the part where its important not to expect any man to be as perfect as a fictional character, that part is always true!)

·        Jotaro wouldn’t really care about the weightgain although he’d try not to eat too many of the delicious baked delicaciesthat his S/O makes
·        In fact he probably wouldn’t even realise iteven if people point it out to him
·        Gramps points out he’s gained a few new pounds?Jotaro fires back saying Joseph’s gained a few new wrinkles
·        The girls who fawn over him comment on how S/O’sbaking is making him look different? Jotaro’s snapping back by telling themthat it’s because, unlike them, the food doesn’t annoy him
·        He becomes borderline rude (and sassy), justshaking it off
·        It isn’t until his S/O blows a raspberry intohis blossoming pudge and coos about how cute and fluffy he looks that he fullyrealises – shit he has gained weight
·        The boy’s got three gym memberships, a newexercise plan and a converted gym room in some part of his house by the end ofthe week
·        He’s not supposed to be cute and fluffy he says– he’s supposed to be a grumpy asshole with the body of  a god he says
·        Just put a basket of sea turtles at the end if arunning machine, turn it on full speed and watch him lose the extra weight inno-time X3
·        Although it might be difficult for Jotaro tokeep up this plan when Star Platinum’s constantly circling around the kitchen,excitedly waiting for S/O to whip up their next batch of treats to eat, evenacting as a stand taste tester for whenever they have a new recipe to perfect
·        Getting Plat to reign back his consumption oftheir food (especially the cookies – he loves the cookies) is going tobe an exercise in itself as it’ll quickly dissolve into an argument betweenJotaro and his stand
·        “Star get back here” “Ora” “Stop eating and getover here “ORA” “I don’t care stop it!” “ORA!”
·        The only thing that breaks this up would be S/Owaltzing into the room with a new cupcake recipe, asking if they’d like to trythem to see how it tastes
·        It’ll end in the three of them sat on the sofa,Star happily munching on the baked goods, Jotaro grumpily eating a cupcake (hethinks it’s absolutely delicious but he’s not going to admit it out loud) andS/O eagerly awaiting their opinions
·        And the process will repeat X3
Polnareff:
·        Pol will notice he’s gained weight when he findshis signature one strap shirt is even tighter than it normally is (I can’t bethe only one who thinks he struggles every morning to fit those bara tiddies inthat small garment. They cannot be contained)
·        He’d know that he needs to cut down on how muchhe eats of S/O’s baking, but he’d be weak to the bright smile they flash himwhen they offer him their latest cooking for him to eat, as well how the joylights up their face when he tells them how ‘délicieux’ it always tastes
·        That being said, he’s still determined to wearhis famous shirt once more, so he ends up finding a happy medium
·        He’ll still enjoy all of S/O’s bakery creationsbut would work it off through training with either Silver Chariot or one of theother SDC crew so that he could stay fit and healthy for his partner~
·        If his S/O also notices the new developmenthe’ll have to prepare for a barrage of cuddles and stomach rubs as they giggleover how soft he is
·        Needless to say our French baby right here isgoing to be a blushing mess, even more so when he starts looking forward to thenext time he’s getting dragged off to cuddle because their hands are so warmand nice to feel on his stomach
·        Polnareff would enjoy watching them bake becauseof how concentrated they are as they work away, especially as he gets to seeall of the effort that goes into it
·        He might even pick up on a few baking tricks ofhis own this way and would surprise his S/O by baking them something for themto enjoy for a change
·        They won’t be as good as S/O’s of course butit’s the thought that counts
·        Although they’re gonna have to teach him thatyou don’t put that much sugar on anything
Avdol:
·        Avdol probably wouldn’t mind about the sudden weightgain so long as his S/O didn’t mind (I know I wouldn’t – chubby Avdol issomething I didn’t realise I needed in my life until now)
·        He’d probably help in the kitchen whenever S/Ois baking, being quite the baker himself when the opportunity arises
·        I feel as though he’d enjoy giving them the oddtreat as well to return the favour similar to Polnareff – however, they’d end up tasting a lot better thanbara boy’s because let’s face it he’s probably the better cook
·        Pol tried his best though and that’s whatmatters
·        If he was warm to the touch before he’s evenmore so now!
·        S/O would be able to snuggle into him, using hisrobes for cover as they press their face into his chest and squeal about howsoft he’s become alongside with an onslaught of praises
·        It’ll be like cuddling a warm, fluffy heatershaped like the ideal partner!
·         And lordhelp them if Magician’s red decides to make an appearance because it’s going toquickly become quite…heated :D (I’mso sorry) as S/O ends up sandwiched between the two
Kakyoin:
·        Kakyoin would notice just how often he partakesin S/O’s wonderful baked goods quite early on but he wouldn’t want to turn themdown when they offer
·        It’s totally not because of the fact their stufftastes amazing (who’re we kidding it definitely is)
·        However, once he starts realising that he’s gaininga little bit of weight he might begin branching out and convincing S/O to startspreading the good of their baking to others as a way to curb his eating ofthem
·        He’ll offer cookies to guests as they comethrough the door or send gifts such as cupcakes, brownies, bread, muffins,scones among other things to neighbors and people that they’re acquainted with
·        Jotaro’s getting weekly packages of baked foodsmade by Kak’s S/O that are always ocean themed in some way and this grumpy ballof awkward emotions doesn’t know whether to yell at Kakyoin for the subtle jabsat his love for marine biology or thank him because the food tastes so good
·        Kakyoin would also encourage S/O to pursue a careeras a professional baker if it was something they were interested in, offeringto help test any of their newest creations and getting word of theirexceptional cooking skills out there
·        To also note, you can bet he’s going to beconstantly praising their baking prowess to others because he’s just so proud to have such a talented S/O thatloves him
·        It doesn’t mean it isn’t annoying to certainpeople (can someone say Jotaro?)
