As someone who's always loved microbiology and public health...

WHAT IS THIS??

I have wanted to work in public health pretty much my entire life, but it's genuinely getting scary now

This is horrible, is this true? If anyone knows anything else then please please please let me know!!

I have a personal fear of ebola, after having read tons of books on it that were given and (heavily recommended) to me by my favorite teacher in highschool. Not only that but it was the virus I was assigned to study and present and I worked on that research for an entire year as well

#my goodness this is absolutely horrendous #if you don't know anything about ebola PLEASE READ UP ON IT #please read this book! it's scary but it's really good at showing the power of this virus #and how it was extremely close to spreading to America #this virus is Extraordinarily contagious #but it also quite literally liquefies your intestines and brain #it's almost on par with rabies #only 1 of 10 have a chance of surviving #i feel very very strongly on this can you tell?#I'm baffled that I'm not seeing very many people talk about this #maybe because people tend to zone out when it comes to viruses #i dunno #but it's alarming #this and that measles outbreak #and trump Jr's hunting friend now overseeing food safety #to explain; he and a couple other guys went to Mongolia and ate marmot illegally #it's illegal because marmots are notorious for CARRYING THE BUBONIC PLAGUE #what on absolute earth #this and the CDC!#this and withdrawing from the WHO!#I'm losing it!
