December 5: Feet Hurt
Very tired so I'd like o get to bed soon. The holiday spirit has really infested the library; every day feels like it's full of Friday energy and that's sort of nice but also sort of exhausting. Also I do have work I have to do lololol.
I went grocery shopping after work, the last time I will do so this year. I spent the first half hour getting everything but food: looking for Christmas and baby cards (the whole baby genre is quite the Worst, why can't babies get cool stuff), looking for gift cards, looking for a toy to get for the toy drive at the OTHER holiday party--my co-worker was right, you gotta budget all year for Christmas work obligations. I don't really mind generally I think it just got to me today getting the toy. Like I'll give $10 toward a gift card for someone I work with but requiring me to spend money to go to a staff holiday party that is supposed to be FOR ME just sort of bugs me. But how I can possibly say that without being the biggest Scrooge and asshole generally because it's a toy drive? I know we're doing something nice but like... I can give to charity on my own and this holiday party is supposed to be about giving ME one little thing, not asking me to spend yet more money and also brave the toy section which is truly a wasteland. Poor children of today. I got a Polly Pocket which, though a pleasing blue color, offends me personally by being much MUCH bigger than anyone could ever it in her pocket.
Anyway, so then I had to speed run buying food. My main concern was that I have enough to last me through the next week and a half, and not much longer: so I don't need to shop again, but also don't have to waste food by having it it in my fridge for 2 weeks. A delicate balance. I was a bit afraid I'd miss the bus but luckily I was fine. Although the bus door literally hit me on the way out because these jerk kids in front of me cut me off and then the driver like didn't notice an actual human being was trying to exist the vehicle. A classy affair.
Since coming home I have mostly just been lying around because my feet hurt so bad. I was standing for a long while and I think that's part of it but also it might be the stress. I have been having stress dreams too.
Anyway I really want to get to sleep. It's later than I wanted it to be. Tomorrow maybe (maybe!) something other than whining and being a jerk.
#the year 2023#2023: rl#i really do feel bad for saying i dont want to buy a toy for a toy drive#there's just been several things going on that sort of converged in this opinion#it's a nice idea but it's just... i just... have thoughts

Yes, sir! | Niki Lauda
Professor Lauda AU! 👨🏫
Gender neutral reader
Dedicated to @lieutenantn and @scuttle-buttle
I'm using the first names of people I know in real life for the friends, so I apologise if you share the same name 😅
And thank you @scuttle-buttle for letting me make references to your fic 'The interpretation of dreams'
Some of my German translations may be wrong, I'm still learning 🥺
[Next chapter]
Part 1
You sat outside on campus. Your classes didn't start until tomorrow, but your friends started today. You agreed to meet them for lunch. You hadn't been sat outside for too long when they came out. Upon seeing you, they rush over, smiling.
"Lucky you with your extra day off," Katie says, grinning. She was studying music. This girl and her guitar were a force to be reckoned with, that's for sure.
"It's only one day," you laugh.
"One day more than we got," Michael added. When it came to computers, you knew no one better.
"Still, must be exciting not that you've started your classes. I'm not scheduled until tomorrow."
"Speaking of, what did you even pick? You never actually told us," Michael asks, sitting down next to you.
"Literature and languages."
"Ooo, look at you with your 2 subjects," Katie laughs.
"Just wait until I can tell you fuck off in other languages, then we'll see who's laughing," you grin.
"Funny. Can we go eat now?"
You nod and the lot of you go to the nearest cafe for lunch. The Red Wing is a nice little place to meet with friends and catch up, and it was really close to the university.
You grab a table near the window while Michael goes to order for everyone.
"Do you want to know who your Professors are going to be?" Katie asks, pulling out her phone.
"You know?"
"You can see the teachers on the website, I can check for you," she says, already signing into the website.
You say nothing and try to peek at the screen as she searches for the right page.
Michael returns and takes a seat.
"Uh oh," Katie says, looking at her phone strangely.
"Uh oh? Why uh oh?"
She looks at you with a bitter expression.
"Your language professor... you have Professor Lauda," she tells you.
"Professor Lauda? Why is that uh oh?"
Michael and Katie share a look.
"He's, uh... he's a bit of a perfectionist. Kind of strict. He has thrown students out of his class if they haven't kept up with assignments or he thinks they're just wasting time," Michael tells you.
"Oh, I see. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm taking languages because I want to."
Katie shrugs, "well, your funeral."
You narrow your eyes at her. They were making it out as if he was some demon teacher who worked here. You were sure it would be fine.
"What about my other professor?"
"Professor Barnes? He's alright. Cute. People like him," Katie sighs.
"There we go then. I'll be fine!"
Michael and Katie share a look again. You roll your eyes and ignore them as your food arrives.
You're back at your apartment early, in time for an early night so you can be refreshed for your classes tomorrow.
You weren't worried about what your friends had said. You were sure you could handle what ever this Professor Lauda would throw at you.
You arrive to your literature class early. Professor Barnes is friendly and welcomes you into his class. You take a seat near the front and wait for the other students to arrive.
When everyone has settled, the class starts.
Barnes introduces himself, introduces you the schedule for the term, and spends a bit of time getting to know his class. He makes a joke here and there. He's definitely going to be a favourite yours, you just knew you would enjoy his classes.
He dismisses you all with a gentle smile.
You have some time before your languages class. For some reason a lite bit of dread settles in. You really wanted to do well here, but what if you didn't? Would he actually kick you off the course?
Michael was able to meet up with you as you made your way to your next class. He had just left his class cor the day when he saw you on the way to yours.
"Hey!"
You stop and let him catch up with you.
"On your way to Lauda's class?"
"Yes."
"I think it's very brave of you to take this risk," he says, placing his hand on your shoulder.
You roll your eyes.
"You're over exaggerating! He's just a Professor!"
"Y/N, there are only two professors in this university that scare me, and Lauda is one of them."
"Who's the other?"
"Professor Kreizler, but you're not taking his class, so you don't have to worry about him."
You chuckle softly.
"I'll be fine. I have to go! See you later."
Michael watches you go.
You arrive to the class just in time. The class isn't as full as the other class. Just a few students scattered about. Absolutely no one was sitting on the front row. The professor has his back to the class as he organised papers on his desk.
You headed to the front and sat down, taking out the things you would need.
The professor turned around.
Never has anyone made such an impact on you before just from their presence. Your mind ceases functioning as you get a good look at your Professor.
Soft brown curly hair, dark brown eyes, not too tall, not too short, toned, but not buff. Gosh, did he look good in that turtleneck sweater.
His eyes scan the students. The room was only about half full, not that he cared much. He knew he had a reputation in the university. People couldn't deal with him, but it didn't matter because he wouldn't be able to deal with them either.
His eyes land on the only student brave enough to sit up front. He would be able to see you working from there, but that wasn't what made him stop to look at you. No, it was the fact you were probably the best looking person to ever walk into his classroom.
He flickered his gaze away before it could be read into too much by anyone.
You hadn't seemed to notice he was staring.
Still, he was a professional and he would remain so. Nothing wrong with having good looking students in a class.
"Hallo, willkommen. I am Professor Lauda, your languages teacher. This class is for German. Please, if you had no intention of being here, leave now."
No one shifts.
"Very well then. I have written the schedule for the term on the board, copy it down if you must, I will not be repeating it after today."
You note it down, using all your will power not to just look at your Professor.
"I must ask, does anyone here have any basic knowledge of German?" He asks, eyes scanning the class.
A few hands go up. Better than his last class where barely anyone had any former knowledge. Your hand is up too.
"Gut. You," he nods at you, "introduce yourself auf Deutsch."
You hesitate for a second, not expecting he would pick you. Though, you are sat up front. You're an easy target.
"Hallo, ich bin Y/N."
Y/N. Wunderbar. He had your name. He moves onto the next student who put their hand up, and then the next. You were none the wiser to his little trick of just wanting to know who you were.
"Now, listen here," he says, gaining everyone's attention after introductions, "if you so as waste my time, you are off this course. I only want students who mean to learn. If you fail my tests, you can walk tight out. If you fail to hand in an essay, you can leave."
He scans the faces of his students.
"Am I clear?"
"Yes, sir!" The class all spoke together.
"Gut. Now, pay attention."
He begins the introduction for the course. Though you are paying attention, you're slightly distracted by his voice. English or German, you could listen to him talk all day.
You write down notes as he speaks, not wanting to miss anything. You almost miss some details because you just wanted to sit and listen to him talk.
Class is over before you know it. Time had passed far too quickly for your liking.
"Dismissed. Don't be late."
Everyone gathers their things before they go. You close your notebook and glances up at your professor. He once again has his back to the class.
"Danke, herr Lauda."
Lauda glances over his shoulder to see you standing there. He looks you up and down quickly with his dark eyes. He turns back around without saying anything.
You leave, feeling a little awkward.
Michael is waiting outside for you.
"How was class?" He asks, falling into step with you.
"Not that bad. Professor Lauda isn't that bad!"
"You're lying! He's so intimidating!" Michael exclaims.
"He's fine. Maybe I should I meet this Professor Kreizler for reference."
"He's intimidating too."
"Do you actually like any Professors here?" You ask.
"....not really!"
You chuckle softly and keep on walking. Michael has to jog a little as you pick up the pace.
"I dare you! Though he might be OK if his assistant is there."
"His assistant?" You look at him curiously.
"Yeah, pretty sure they're together."
"Hmm. Cute."
"If you say so, Y/N. Right, I have to leave, there's a computer with my name on it," he grins.
"Yeah, whatever. See you!" You laugh as he walks away.
You head back to your apartment, done for the day. You would go over your notes and have some dinner before turning in for the night.
Tomorrow was another day, and you were eager to return to your languages class.

Eastern Europe - July, 2009
"If he could learn to love another and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?"
Mother closed the book, placing it on the bedside table between Auryk's bed and mine. Then, she lowered herself and kissed my forehead like she did every night. Her long, blonde hair tickled my face and left a trace of her sweet lavender fragrance in the air. I giggled.
"Good night, sweetheart," she spoke.
"Good night, momma."
"Cherish your last night as a six years old. Tomorrow you will become a..."
"Princess?!"
"A seven years old girl. The prettiest girl in the village."
"Pffft," Auryk let out a displeased grunt from his bed, covering his head with the pillow to avoid listening another word from the conversation.
"And you too," mother sat by his side on the bed and repeated her nightly ritual of kissing his forehead to wish him a good night too. "You'll become the most handsome and brave warrior in this village. Do you understand?"
"I hope so. Good night, mom."
"Good night, buddy."
Mother left the room, leaving us both in the dark. However, we couldn't sleep. Not because we were thrilled about our incoming birthday party as any regular child, but because we knew our lives were about to change. Seven years old was the age every child from our village was introduced to the truth and started being trained to fight the evil that haunted our lands. Auryk and I spent minutes, or maybe hours, in silence, staring at the ceiling.
"Leena?" He was the first one to speak. "Do you believe a spell can broken? I mean, like a curse?"
"I don't know, Ryk," I answered, feeling my thoughts starting to drift away. "Maybe we're doomed after all. Or... we could learn how to love the beasts."
The birthday parties always happened during the daytime, rules of the village. We could no longer be outside after 6 PM. Mother got help from the other women to prepare the treats and organize the decorations. Auryk was disguised as a pirate and I... I was Belle, from the Beauty and the Beast.
"So, what do you think you will be getting this year?" My best friend Elena asked while we were playing with our dolls. She was about two years older than us.
"I don't know," I shrugged. Being a merchant, my father always returned home with the most unusual gifts: a magical music box, a voodoo doll that had a life on its own or a fragrance that chased away the monsters - and everybody else too. "A new book. I'm hoping for a new book."
It was only by the end of the party Adrian Novak made his entrance. That was the mystery about him. Nobody knew when he would show up, or if he would show up at all. He still had that same annoying smirk on his face. The corner of his mouth holding a cigarette. The months away made his beard grow longer, as well as his dark hair. In the sunlight, the scar above his eye was even more visible.
"Auryk," he shouted, "come here, son. I've got something for ya."
My twin brother, who had been climbing trees with his friends stop frozen in spot for a second. I couldn't tell if he hated or feared that man. Maybe both. He slowly followed father's command, approaching him cautiously.
"Hi, dad."
"Happy birthday, son," father ruffled his dark straight hair with his strong and calloused hand. "It's about time you grow up."
He handed my brother a large package. From our experience, we knew exactly what it was, a shotgun.
"T-Thank you, dad."
"I'll be spending some time at home. Tomorrow we'll start practicing."
Auryk consented. He shot me a quick glance. From our twin bond I could tell my brother was far from happy. When he blew his candles that afternoon, he didn't wish for a weapon. We wished to be a normal child.
"What did you get, Leena?" He asked once we were locked in the safety of our bedroom.
"Pencils and a drawing book. Dad thinks I'm talented."
Not really. Adrian Novak would never allow his daughter to hold a shotgun. That was, according to him, 'a man thing'.
"Good, at least one of us got what they wanted. Happy birthday, sister."
"Happy birthday, brother."
4 Years Later - October, 2013
It wasn't easy to be the weakest of the twins. Although he was born first, Auryk was the tinniest. The one who was always getting sick or getting injured. The one who couldn't hit a single fucking target when he had the alcoholic breath of his father on his neck.
He aimed for a crow, sitting still on a fence. How hard could it be? Even the eldest man from the village could do any better than that.
BANG! He shot again. And missed.
"Again?!" Adrian angered, shoving him hard on the shoulder. "What the hell is your problem, kid?"
"I don't know, okay? This gun... it's heavy!"
"Heavy? And why do you think we've been exercising for all these years, huh?! We do not live in Disneyland, Auryk. We need to fight monsters, abominations. Someday I won't be home and you need to be prepared to protect our people. Do you understand?"
Tears started forming in the corners of the boy's blue eyes. He couldn't cry. Not in front of him. Crying was a sign of weakness and he couldn't be weak. Not right now. Auryk started to think about all the things he could be doing. He thought about the ocean, as he had seen on TV and books. He could feel the warmness of the sun on his skin. The sand between his toes. His mom and sister were also there, of course - they'd carry them with him everywhere. And he would study Math and Physics. There would be no guns, no monsters, no blood, only numbers, only formulas, only theories. He smiled. He no longer felt like crying.
"I'm sorry, dad," kindness was always the answer, his mother said. "But this isn't for me, you know? I don't like it. I... Remember that boarding school my teacher mentioned? I thought maybe I..."
His words were interrupted by a hard slap on his face. Auryk could taste a small amount of blood coming out from his lower lip.
"So that's what you want? To become one of those little fancy fags? Maybe you're not my son after all."
Adrian started walking away, leaving his son alone, sitting on the floor.
"I AM!" Auryk yelled, enraged. "I am your son."
"Then prove it."
"You shouldn't take so hard on him," Savannah poured her husband a cup of tea. "He's just a boy."
"He's eleven years old, for god's sake," the husband punched the table strong enough to make it shake. "He needs to man up a bit. You should stop spoiling him."
As I left my bedroom I found my brother sitting on the stairs. He didn't have to be so close to listen to the conversation between our parents, father's voice was loud enough to echo through every wall of our small and cozy home.
I sat down by his side, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.
"Maybe you should do it, Leena. You'd do it better, I know."
"I'm not so sure. Remember when I tried to shoot a scarecrow and almost shot that old witch?"
"Come on, you aimed on purpose! I know."
Auryk finally let out a small laugh at the memory.
"You're good at everything, Leena," he spoke fondly. "You're an extrovert, you're everybody's friend, you can cook, you can draw and paint... you're a true artist. I'm a mistake."
"You're not a mistake, Ryk," I pulled my brother closer, resting my cheek against the side of his face. "We're only at the wrong place and you know it."
Going back to our bedroom, we pulled from the drawers the postcards our grandma Louise sent us from San Diego. Mom had been born in California and lived there her entire life, until she met father during one of his trips. God knows what made her fall in love with that man. Adventure? Danger? I expected better from myself when I turned eighteen. Otherwise, I'd never want to fall in love. Love could be my ruin, just like my mom's.
"Leena..." Auryk held the postcard tightly, "do you think... if he died... do you think mom would take us to nana's home?"
"I don't know, Ryk," I didn't want to think of my father's possible death. But I also dreamed of a better life. "Maybe."
"What the hell?" Father's voice in the kitchen made me jump in fear. I knew that tone. I grew up used to that. Something was wrong in the village. We had to hide.
"To the basement, now!" He emerged at the bedroom, holding a rifle. "Lycans were seen surrounding the area."
We barely had any time to react, mom came and dragged us both to the basement. Father left, carrying his arsenal of weapons as usual. There were other hunters in the village but we always knew how badly it could end. Somebody could always get seriously hurt. Or worse.
The basement had been carefully prepared for that kind of situation years before. It had a big bed, two armchairs, a heating source, some stored food and a shelf. Mom sighed and forced a smile.
"So," she walked to the shelf, "what is it going to be today?"
"Frankenstein," Auryk suggested. My brother loved mystery and horror. As if his life hadn't enough of it.
"Romeo and Juliet," I spoke. There was something about forbidden romance that always caught my interest.
"Okay. I... I'm gonna say a prayer and you two can read the books you picked by yourselves. What do you think?"
"Great!"
Mom kneeled down by the bed's side, holding a crucifix. I could join her if I wanted to, but I'd rather watch in silence. I grabbed my book, sitting on one of the armchairs and pretending to pay attention, while I tried to distract myself from the fact my father could be the Lycans' next prey. Or all of us, if they managed to break into our house.
"Leena?" I woke up hours later with my mom shaking me. "Leena?! Where's Auryk? Where's your brother, Leena?"
I had no idea. I had fallen asleep and apparently, so did mom. She checked for the basement's door, it had been locked from outside.
"No..." she tried to force it open. "No! I can't be..."
All Auryk had to do was to successfully kill and take a Lycan's carcass as a trophy to his father, right? That was what that old douchebag wanted him to do, to prove his courage, his manhood. We had his shotgun, a binoculars and a knife, that should be enough, but first, he needed a good plan.
Looking down to his hands, he had the most perfect idea. Without thinking twice, he sliced a cut through his palm, letting some blood pour on the ground. Then, he found a tall tree. He climbed it and observed. The smell of blood his trail left behind should be enough to attract a creature.
"Come on... come on..."
From a distance, Auryk could hear the sound of destruction and death. There was a battle going on somewhere nearby. Once again Lycans should have found a family or a group of hunters.
And then, he could hear it. The heavy footsteps, the screeching sounds, the sniffing. The mutant creature was only a few meters away from the tree. He aimed, but it was still too distant. He needed to move to a closer branch.
It all happened in one second. He was almost there, reaching for the spot he had picked, but his weight was too much for the tree's branch. In a blink of an eye, he was lying on the ground. His vision was blurred. His head hurt intensely, as well as his arm. It was broken for sure. He possibly had a concussion too. He tried to stand up and run but his legs wouldn't follow his commands. The Lycan was coming straight at him.
"AURYK!" His mother screamed behind him. "NO!"
Time seemed to freeze in that fraction of second. How did she manage to escape the basement? How could she have found him?
But without hesitation, Savannah threw herself on top of her son, protecting him from the jaws and claws of the monster. Auryk couldn't see much, but he could smell it. He could feel it. Blood. There was blood everywhere. He couldn't tell who it belonged to, he or his mom's.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
A fast sequence of shots suggested the hunters had found them. The creature stopped moving, stopped howling. It was finally dead.
"M-Mom... it's dead. We... We're safe."
She didn't answer. Instead, he heard another familiar voice.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" It was from his father. "Savannah! Savannah!"
"D-Dad..." Auryk tried to speak, but the words got lost along the way. "I... I..."
Adrian lifted him by his jacket, holding him inches above the ground.
"YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED YOUR MOM, YOUR STUPID BASTARD!"
"I..." tears streamed down the boy's face, his injured brain trying to process what had just happened. "I'm sorry.'
After he was thrown back to the ground, he was hit with a hard kick on his stomach. He turned his head around to notice a small figure hiding behind a tree, watching the whole scene in pure horror.
"L-Leena..." he muttered.
"This is all your fault, Auryk. You're a disgrace to this family."
And then, he passed out. Rumors said he was unconscious for days or maybe weeks. When he woke up, he wished everything had been a nightmare.
Present Days - July, 2021
Nobody mourned Adrian Novak when he died. Not his children. Not his village mates. No human being would ever feel any sympathy for a man who abused and blamed his eleven years old son for his mother's death. It had been two years since Adrian left this world and I couldn't feel any more free.
"Hey," I left another message on my brother's voicemail, "in case you've forgotten it's our birthday today. I'd like to have my twin home, you know? Call me when you get this message."
It was useless, I knew. Auryk would only pick up his phone when he wanted to. Or when he was too drunk. God knew where that guy would be at that time, probably waking up at some girl's bed or getting some rest from... working.
After grabbing myself a cup of coffee, I checked the door's mat. Bills, bills, newspaper and... California Institute Of Arts? I remember having an argument with Auryk about this matter at some point. He wanted me to fill the application and send them my portfolio. I insisted we had no money, not even to pay for the tuition. I won - I always win every argument by the way.
"Your damn son of a..." I placed the envelope on the kitchen's table. I was a coward, I confess. However, I didn't know which pain was worse - to be sure I wasn't good enough or to be sure I was, indeed, but I'd never have money to leave that hellhole. Anyways, I decided to leave it alone. I had more important things to do.
My morning routine: to go to the middle of the woods and do some training. My father used to say fighting wasn't a girl thing, but I was no regular girl. And never in this life I'd allow someone to tell me what to do.
After running, climbing and doing a set of push-ups, it was time for combat training. Travelers from abroad taught me some different set of moves, I'd like to think I created my own fighting style. I was also very good with knifes, daggers or any kinds of short blades, they were useful during a close distance combat. My shooting was a work in progress, once or twice I'd miss the center of my handmade targets.
Then, like everyday, I'd go back home, shower and follow to my shift at the village's pub.
"Hiya, Leena," Gustav greeted me when I arrived. "I heard today is a special day... the day a little girl..."
"NO!" I stopped him. Gustav was my best friend. We had known each other since we were children and somehow, he liked to make my birthday a special - and embarrassing - event.
He placed a handmade fairytale-like book on the table. There were some edited pictures, mixed with some messed up drawings about my birth and childhood. He called it 'The Princess Who Carried The Light'.
"God, you're soooo stupid..." I rolled my eyes and moaned, before wrapping him into a very tight hug. "I love you, you know that?"
"I know. You'd probably marry me, if you weren't into girls."
We laughed together, as Olga, our boss emerged from the kitchen, bringing a cake with nineteen candles.
"Here's to another year," the older woman opened a wrinkled smile, "make a wish, my darling."
I fell pensive for a moment, besides having my twin brother back home, safe and sound, what else could I wish for? California, that scholarship, a new life... that's for sure.
"I wish for... a new life, a new adventure," I pronounced aloud while blowing the candles.
"Careful," a male voice spoke behind me, "words have power, little sister. You may get what you want."
"Ryk!"
I jumped straight to my brother's arms. I could swear that in only a few weeks he had gotten a little bit taller, and stronger too.
"I wouldn't miss my own birthday, right?" He smirked. "So, where's the cake? Please, chocolate... tell me it's chocolate."
"Your silly boy," Olga spread some icing on his nose. "Of course it's chocolate, as you love. And with cherries too."
Auryk responded with a satisfied smile. Olga and her husband, Kristoff, were those responsible for taking care of him after the Lycan attack, years ago. They sort of adopted him like one of their biological children.
"Oh!" The woman exclaimed taking a closer look at Ryk's forearm. He had gotten a tattoo. I hadn't been informed of those news either. Apparently, my brother had more secrets than I could even start to imagine. "This is... new. It seems like my kids are really growing up."
"And only now you noticed that, Olga?" Gustav joked.
Olga shook her head, grinning at herself and returned to the kitchen. The customers were starting to fill the pub. I stared at Ryk again, wondering what other secrets my brother could be keeping.
"So, what does that mean?" I pointed to his newly gotten tattoo, a strange and ancient symbol it seemed.
"Protection from the evil. This is what we need the most in our lives, especially in a place like this. What reminds me -" we turned around, taking a small box from the pocket of his jacket. "Your gift."
I took the black velvet box from his hands, it contained a golden necklace with a magenta gemstone as pendant. My blue eyes drowned themselves in the stone. It had a mysterious glow. Something hypnotizing. Something magical.
"Whoa..." was everything my mouth could pronounce. "And I bought you an Astronomy book."
Auryk stood up from his chair and went behind me, taking the necklace from my hands to wear it around my neck himself.
"This is supposed to protect you from any supernatural and inhumane beings. I won't lose you to them, Aleena. Not like I lost mom."
"Ryk, I... I can't even thank you enough."
"You don't have to. Just... stay alive."
First, I was overflowing with happiness. It either had to do with the fact my brother was home, alcohol, or both. Also, Olga should thank me. Most of the costumers of the day only stopped by the bar because of me. They absolutely loved me and knowing it was my birthday, they had to come and see me. A few of them even gave me some extra tips or a small gift, which was even greater.
"Okay, party girl..." Auryk helped me to get inside of the house as I tripped over the door mat. "Time to go to bed now. Don't you think?"
"Come on, Ryk! Have some spirit! You're home, Olga gave me the day off tomorrow, I earned some money..."
"You told Mrs. Hansen you secretly had a crush on her daughter during Middle School, you danced on top of a table, you're gonna get a hangover..."
"Party pooper!"
I threw myself at the couch. Auryk stood in front of me with arms crossed, looking like a father about to give his child a lecture.
"What?!" I yelled. "It's not like you've never been drunk before. Remember when you stole Adrian's..." I started to laugh, remembering the episode.
"When you were going to tell me about this, Leena?" He showed me the envelope. The Art Institute envelope. The one I had been struggling to open.
"Oh! I forgot. My bad, I didn't open it myself yet. I probably didn't get in anyways."
"You did."
I did?
"It's not like we have money to pay for my tuition. Also, how are we supposed to move to California, Ryk? I work at a pub and you..."
"I've gotten more than enough for that. You know that getting out of this place has always been the plan, since we were children. Leena, I've done some big jobs those last few months. I have the money to grant us a comfortable life in California."
"Smuggling, Ryk!" I raised my voice, saying aloud the information that was supposed to be a secret or not. "You've been stealing to grant us this life."
My brother stared at me in silence. I couldn't tell if he felt offended or embarrassed about my words.
"I'm getting out of here, whatever it takes," he ran a hand through his dark hair. "And you are coming with me. In two weeks, we move to United States for your enrollment."
"But..."
What I was trying to protest against? Leaving the village and starting a new life with my brother was everything I always dreamed.
"Look, I promise you," Auryk placed both of his firm hands on my shoulders, "once we settle down, no more smuggling."
"Okay," I sighed. "We leave in two weeks then."
There was a loud knock on the door. Being drunk as I was, I figured out I should have forgotten my purse at the pub. Or it could be a neighbor with some very stupid emergency.
Auryk opened the door and there was a strange looking man standing there. We wore sunglasses and a hat, behind his back he was carrying a giant hammer. According to the rumors and stories I heard from my parents, that was one of the Lords of The Four Houses, Karl Heisenberg.
"Auryk Novak?" He asked.
"Yes, sir."
"Come with me, kid. You've gotten yourself in big trouble."

Californian Dream (Pt. 08 of 11)
Pairing: Billy Hargrove X Reader
Word count: 2.9 K
Summary: Being part of one of the richest families of California doesn't mean you're happy. Your life is boring, and you're surrounded by meaningless people and their meaningless talk. Even during Summer, with the break you have from college, there's nothing good going on. Nothing but the new pool guy, Billy, the most handsome man you ever saw. You were successfully avoiding him, not wanting to act like an idiot in front of the guy until Billy accepts to be your date for a fancy gala you're forced to attend. The night was going well, even better when he sneaked you out to go to the beach. But a gang of criminals breaks into the party, kidnapping the heirs to the wealthiest families, which includes you. So, for your safety, your parents want you to stay with Billy, living in his apartment until the criminals are caught. And that could take weeks, maybe even months.

Decisions
A low knock on the door wakes you up. Your cheeks are stained by dry tears, and your head hurts. It takes a while for you to even process who's knocking, but you don't want to talk to him. “Go away.”
“(Y/N), I'm sorry, alright? I shouldn't have said those things, I didn't mean any of that.” He sounds defeated, tired, sad. It's hard to hear him through the door, but still, the last thing you want is to look at him right now.
“You made everything crystal clear, Billy.” You mumble, pulling a second blanket over your body. “Don't worry, I'll be leaving tomorrow.”
“(Y/N), please, I...” You hear him sigh, and your heart hurts for him. Hugging your pillow, you stare at the darkness. “These guys, they... They said some things and... It reminded me of my father.”
“Your father?” You ask because Billy never spoke of him. He did mention a stepsister, Maxine, and her mother Susan, but never the father. You knew he had a reason for it, but you never wanted to push him into telling you something he didn't feel comfortable with.
“Yes. He was a damn devil. He was abusive, he hit me, and what those idiots said to me today... It was the same things Neil once did and everything just came back and I...” He makes a pause, and you slowly sit up, looking at the door, the piece of wood separating you from Billy. “I shouldn't have said those things to you, I'm sorry. It won't happen again, I promise. And I understand if you want to leave... But I just need you to know that I didn't mean any of that. You're nothing like those people. You're kind and honest and noble... You're... You're amazing, (Y/N), truly.” After some seconds, you listen as he walks away.
Your heart sinks at what he said. At the pain in his voice. And as much as you're hurt by his outburst, he did had a reason. Memories can be tough, they have the power to drag you back to the very moment they were created, and now, thinking about it, you did see a hint of sadness in Billy's eyes earlier, you just couldn't recognize it. So this is why he fled. He wasn't just running from a small town, he was running from living in hell to the place he felt like home.
Taking a deep breath, you stand up, leaving the blanket behind despite the cold air that makes you shiver. Slowly, you move to the door, trying to open it as quietly as you can. As soon as you're out, the low noise of the TV and a bluish light hits you.
Billy is seated on the couch, elbows on his knees, and his eyes on the floor. It takes a few seconds until he notices your presence, raising his eyes.
“I'm sorry your father was a dick.” You whisper, standing there, eyes locked with Billy. “And whatever those guys said, it isn't true. I don't know what it was, but it isn't true.” Making your way to the couch and sitting beside him, you notice the bruise on the apple of his cheek. “What's that?”
“He punched me and I punched back.” As he speaks, you touch his cheek, delicately. “It got me a warning from the company. If it happens again, I'm fired.”
“It happens again, you give me the name and address and I'll beat them up for you.” Leaning closer, you ignore his chuckle, placing a soft kiss on his bruise, but your lips barely touch his skin since you don't want to hurt him more than he's already hurt. “I mean it.” Then you start kissing him. His cheek, his jaw, the corner of his lips. “Don't you ever believe anything they say.” When you realize what you're doing, you pull away, blushing and looking down. “Well, you should go to sleep now. The bed is yours.”
Nodding, he hesitates a little before standing up. But when he does, he doesn't move. “You know... It's a double bed. We'd both fit there.” Billy reaches out his hand, and you look at it for a while, considering his idea before taking it.
“Yeah, it does.” Standing up, you walk with him back to the bedroom.
It happens silently, as if it had happened many times before. When you lie down, facing away from him, you both move at the same time. You search for his hand, to pull it over your waist, as he moves to do so. “Is it ok?”
“Yes.” You mutter, eyes already closed as you slowly sink into a peaceful sleep.
•
When the morning comes, you only notice because Billy starts moving. Groaning a little, and still very cold, you turn around, snuggling closer to his chest. “Don't go.” You beg, knowing it's still on the week days, which means Billy has to work. “You're so warm.” Taking a deep breath, you hook your leg around his waist, as if it could keep him from getting up.
“I have to go to work, but I'd stay if I had a choice.” He giggles, running a hand through your leg. “Funny, you're...” You feel his hand on your neck as he mutters something you don't understand. “That's not good.”
“What?” You whine, a little upset and embarrassed, since you just realize how your leg was around him, so you move it off.
“You're burning up.” Billy gets up suddenly, fixing the blankets around you. “I'll go get something from the drugstore to lower your fever.”
You didn't notice the fever. Well, you've been feeling cold, but you thought it was the air-conditioning. “No. I don't want you to be late because of me.” Pushing yourself up, you sit straight. “I can get it.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Billy...” Jumping to your feet, you walk fast until you reach him by the door. “It's just a fever. There's no reason for you to worry.” Shyly, you take his hand. “Just do your stuff and I can get some medicine later.”
“No. You've been complaining about being cold for a few days, it's bad enough you'll have to be alone here, I'll–”
“I'll be fine. I can call Stacy. Remember she said she has the week off? I will ask if she can stay with me.” It's not a big deal, and you don't understand why Billy is so worried about it. “Really, I'm alright.”
He takes a deep breath, a hand cupping your face, his thumb softly caressing your skin. Yesterday's fight is long forgotten now, for both of you. “Alright. But I'll be at the Whaylands today. Anything happens you call there, and ask to talk to me. Say it's an emergency or something like that, ok?”
You don't know the Whayland's number, but you just nod. “I'll be fine, don't worry.” Smiling, you tiptoe a little but give up halfway, blushing and looking away.
“You can kiss me if you want.” He smirks, bending a little to capture your lips. It takes no time until you react, but when you remember you have a fever, you push him away. “What?” He sounds confused, eyebrows furrowed.
“I might have a cold or something. I don't want you getting sick so...” Shrugging your shoulders, you feel a little brave. “But when I'm better, I wouldn't mind kissing you.”
“That's good to know.” He smirks. “Now, call Stacy and ask her to stay with you. I'll take a shower and get ready to work.”
“Alright.”
Despite him saying you don't have to, you make him breakfast, and a sandwich he can eat on the road. Stacy comes a couple of hours later and you take the pills she brought you. You like Stacy, and you feel free to be yourself around her, the rules you once followed completely left behind. So you're laughing out loud all day, even taking a walk on the beach after lunch. You can't wait to tell her and the others the truth. Your real name at least. They still call you Lily, and as far as they know, you've been crashing on Billy's until you find a place for yourself. But you do want to tell the truth, and you hope they'll understand why you had to lie. But now, that's a distant thought. Jimmy shows up at the end of the afternoon after Stacy calls him. And, with you both annoying him to death, he starts making dinner, which only makes you and Stacy boss him around with giggles and jokes.
“No, listen up now.” He says after putting the chicken in the oven. “Enough with bugging me, you two. I wanna know something.” Raising an eyebrow, he gestures at you, dramatically slamming his hands on the table, making you roll your eyes. “You and Billy.” He says. “What's going on?”
Feeling your cheeks burning up, you clear your throat, looking at your hands. “Nothing.”
“I didn't take you for a liar," Stacy says, crossing her arms.
“I'm not...” Taking a deep breath, you run a hand through your hair. “I'm not lying. There's nothing between Billy and I. Just... We just kissed a few times but–”
“I knew it!” Stacy exclaims, cutting you off and startling you a little. “Since that day at the party when we met.”
“Really?” Despite being a little shy, you do want to know whatever she thinks she knows.
“Billy had a lot of... Flings. But he never stood up for any of them. He never truly cared. So when he beat up Chad like that... I knew something was off.” She exchanges a glance with Jimmy, smirking.
“And, c'mon, the way he looks at you is so cute.” Jimmy makes a funny voice and you giggle. “He's really into you. And Billy was never into anyone.”
“Of course he was.” You exclaim.
“No, no,” Jimmy speaks up, shaking his head lightly. “He gets a girl he finds attractive when he's bored, that's one thing. Being into someone is completely different.” As the plays with the dishcloth, he takes a seat across from you. “And I did find it weird when he suddenly stopped showing up with a different girl every day, and now I know why.”
“I don't know... I mean, we're good now, but... It's nothing official, so...” Shrugging your shoulders, you look down, taking a deep breath. “But I'm happy the way things are now and who knows what may come next? I'll just take things slow.”
“You know what comes next.” Stacy chuckles. “Trust me, you'll two be dating in no time.”
“I bet,” Jimmy adds.
“Guys, just–” The door opening cuts you off, and you can't help but smile to see Billy. “Hey, you.”
“Hey, you.” He answers, glancing at the other two. “Hi, everyone else who doesn't live here.” Closing the door shut, he makes his way over you. “Are you feeling better?”
“Yup.” Nodding, you blush when he bends over to place a kiss on your lips.
“Good. I'll shower and... Something's burning.”
“Jimmy!” Both you and Stacy shout and the poor guy sets in motion, crouching in front of the oven.
“Please don't let Jimmy burn the kitchen to the ground,” Billy whispers on your ear before heading to the bathroom.
The chicken was burned, but Jimmy had the decency of taking those parts for himself. Other than that, he's quite a good cook. And this dinner is nothing like the formal meals you had back home. It's loud, filled with laughter and stupid jokes, that are no fun at all but make you laugh anyway. An hour later, after Jimmy went to the grocery store to buy chocolate bars for dessert, you're just seating at the table, fighting with Stacy for the last piece.
“Oh, listen up!” Jimmy raises his voice, making both you and Stacy quit arguing. And you decide to let her keep the bar. “I spoke to my grandfather's friend and... He'll give you a chance. So show up on Monday by nine and I'll start filling you up with everything you gotta know.”
“Oh my gosh, for real!?” You exclaim, a bright smile on your lips. “That's absolutely amazing. It'll be so fun working with you.” Standing up, you bend over the table a little to high-five Jimmy. “Great!”
“So... Will I have to ask?” Billy speaks up when you sit down again, staring at you.
“Well, I was waiting for an answer before telling you. Jimmy said something about a diving equipment store so I asked him to speak to the owner to get me a job.” Turning your body towards Billy, you smile. “And it seems like it's happening.”
“Are you sure you want an actual job?” He asks, and you know what he means. You never had a job before, and well, you don't understand much about diving stuff. But you want this. You want to have something to do, and you want to make some money too, despite the untouched bag of money you have.
“Yeah. Jimmy promised to teach me everything I need to know and he'll keep his promise or else nobody will ever hear of him again.” As you speak, you stare at Jimmy, lowering your voice.
“I'm not scared of you, Lily. But I'm scared of Billy so don't worry I'll keep the promise.” He winks at you, and you can tell he's bringing the Chad incident back again.
“You know what...” Stacy says, taking a dramatically deep breath and getting up. “It's a little late and I believe these two want some alone time so we should get going.”
“Agreed.” Jimmy quickly follows her lead. “Well, see you guys around.”
“Bye.” You mutter, already moving to the sink to do the dishes.
Billy joins and helps you, so it's done in only a couple of minutes. Then, you move to the couch, and you couldn't contain your happiness when you found Grease on TV, and somehow you managed to make Billy watch without complaining too much. At the beginning of the movie, you were seated normally, side by side, but as time went by, you started to move, closer and closer, until you're lying down, with Billy's chest pressed against your back in a spoon position. But the awkwardness faded soon enough, and you surrendered to the bliss of being held by him.
When the movie ended, you started singing along to the last song, trying to annoy Billy as much as you could. But up next is a horror movie, and of course, Billy is forcing you to watch it since he threw the remote control somewhere on the floor and won't let you get up to take it. But since it isn't very good, both of you started to lose interest.
“Hey...” He mutters. “Are you sure about this job thing? What if your father calls tomorrow saying this whole thing is over and you can go back home?”
“Uhm...” You weren't thinking about that. Actually, the life you're living now has easily become the only life you have. The rest feels more distant with every passing day. But the decision isn't hard to make. Now, you know what you want, and you will do what makes you happy. “I'd still show up on Monday. I want this job. I want to have a purpose in life, even if it's selling diving stuff. Shrugging your shoulders, you furrow your eyebrows at a particularly disgusting scene.
“I don't think your parents would allow it,” Billy speaks low, and you feel as he moves the hair away from your neck, starting to run his fingers through the skin, so softly you barely feel it.
“To hell with me what my parents think.” His fingertips burn, but it makes you shiver at the same time. You can't help but close your eyes at the sensation, giggling a little when he touches a ticklish spot. “This feels nice.”
“Does it?”
You're about to answer when you feel his lips replacing his fingers, and breath gets caught in your throat. For a girl who had never truly kissed anyone before, this is a whole new level. “Oh...” You mutter, lightly elbowing him, mostly out of nervousness, when you feel his teeth on your skin. “Didn't take you for a biter, Hargrove.”
“Only if you ask.”
“Alright then...” Moving, you turn around until you're facing him, your lips chasing his as if it's a matter of life and death. And it kinda is. You felt like you were dead, suffocated by all the things you had to participate in, the friends you had to pretend to like, the formal meetings, the family business, the rules, and etiquette. Everything you didn't want to be. But when Billy came along, you felt like you were finally allowed to swim to the surface and breathe. Billy is real, he doesn't fake it. When he's angry, he's angry, and when he's sad, he's sad.
In a way, Billy brought back to life, down to Earth, and pulled you up among the clouds at the same time. Because that's where you are now, kissing him, for far too long maybe, with only a few pauses to catch a breath. It's addictive, inebriating, and you'd stay here forever if you could because nothing else matters. His hands run through your body, respectfully, never pushing you, never going too far. You'd never expect this from the Billy Gisele told you about.
“We should be together.” You let out once you break apart again, catching your breath. But you regret it because you might have ruined the moment... But you can't help but wonder how many girls Billy had, in the exact position you are now, making out, just so it'll all over the next day. And you don't want that. You want him, for more than just a couple of days... And yes, you failed. You are falling in love with Billy. Clearing your throat you shake your head. “I mean... I just thought...”
“Look at me.” With his index finger, he lifts your head so you're staring into his eyes again. “This won't ever be accepted by anyone in your circle. Parents, friends, relatives... You know that right? Nobody will support this relationship.”
“I don't need their support. I've been told what to do my whole life. What clothes to wear, what friends I should grow close to, what to major in... I'm tired of this shit, I want you.” It just comes out, too fast, and you don't even know what to say to cover it up. Because it's the truth. “California never felt like home to me until you came along. This... This place feels more like home than the house I grew up in.”
“I... I wish you could stay here.” Billy's voice it's so low it makes you wonder if you heard him right.
“Stay here as in... Mmm... Living here? Even after the gang is arrested?” Blushing, you decide to be brave and ask him. It's not like you could pretend you didn't hear it. And yes, living here sounds a lot better than going back to the house.
“Yeah.” He nods, taking a deep breath. “I can't give you a big ass garden, a pool or–”
“I'd trade all of that for kisses, so I think we'd be good.” Rolling your eyes, you cut him off, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh, really?” In a fake menacing tone, Billy stars to move, trying to stay above you, but there's no enough couch and you start falling off.
“Billy, wait!” Laughing, you try to push him off. “I'm falling!”
“That's too bad.” Even though he doesn't stop and you do miss the couch completely, he manages to hold you by the waist, breaking your fall and instead, laying you softly on the floor before moving to hover above you, his body pressing yours against the cold ground.
Smiling, you wrap your arms around his neck. “You know I can–”
“Be my girlfriend.” Billy cuts you off, his face getting all serious suddenly. He's not joking.
“W-what?” It's not that you didn't get it, it's just that you can't believe. And, by the look on his face, he took that as a doubt. He's beginning to move away, but you grab a handful of his shirt, forcing him to stay where he is. “Yes.” You burst out, biting your lip. “I wanna be your girlfriend.”
The smile that comes to his lips is beautiful, breathtaking. Your favorite view in the world. “Good.” And with that, he leans down to kiss you again.

Fall pt. 6
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5
Tag/s: @lilypad-55449
Sorry took me so long to update
You stayed in America for years. Draco visits you and the children once a month giving you updates about George. Your son and daughter are already 5 years old. And you planned going back to England. Maybe it's time to meet their grandparents and their father. You're certain that Molly and Arthur would be delighted if they meet your children.
"Levi, Fred, time to leave, Draco is waiting for you outside, " you said.
You named them after Fred and Levi. Your son's name was Frederick Fabian Weasley Frederick from Fred's name Fabian from George's second name. He looked like his father except for his eyes. He has your eyes. While your daughter's name was Levi Georgia Weasley, Levi from Levi Georgia from George again. Your daughter was like George's girl version. Both of them really looked like a Weasley.
"Are you ready to go to England?" You asked your children.
"Are we going to meet dad?" Fred asked.
"Mama I want to see what dad looks like, " Levi said.
The twins love asking about their dad. But all you can say is they will meet him soon. Finally, you arrive in England. You will stay at Levi's home. The kids are playing in the forest while you and Draco are watching them.
"Are you sure about introducing them?" Draco asked.
"Yeah, they have the rights to meet their grandchildren, the kids have the rights to meet their father, " you said.
"You're ready to see George again?" Draco asked.
"No, but I'm certain that tomorrow is the right time to meet Molly and Arthur, " you sighed.
"Mrs Weasley's birthday?" Draco said.
"Yeah the kids will be a perfect present for them, but I will go to Diagon alley to buy something, " you said.
"I can't come with you to the Burrow but I can come with you to the Diagon Alley, " Draco said and smiled at you.
"Daddy Draco look what I found, " Levi said running towards you and Draco.
She's holding a puffskein and Fred is running behind her. They called Draco Daddy because that's what Draco wanted the kids to address him. You find it cute but kinda sad because it's not George whom they call Daddy. Of course, you still love him he always owned your heart. Because he's the first person who made you feel special.
--
The following day you arrive at the Diagon Alley. The streets are busy and crowded.
"Stay close to mama okay?" You whispered to your children.
"I will stay close to daddy Draco, " Levi said.
You let out a soft laugh and started to stroll around. However, the kids let go of you and Draco's hand and ran away.
"I will look for them, meet us at the Leaky Cauldron," Draco said and run after them.
Today is just an ordinary day for George. The difference is that it's his mother's birthday. He will go to the Burrow tonight and come back tomorrow morning. He was walking to the Leaky Cauldron to have his breakfast. Suddenly something hit his legs. He saw a little girl on the road wailing. A red-haired girl with freckles on his face. 'She looked like a Weasley' George thought. Then a boy was running after her, red-haired and freckled face but when he looked at the child's eyes it reminded him of (Y/N). He knelt down and helped the kid to stand up.
"Are you okay?" George asked the kid softly.
The kid didn't say a word and his twin brother run to her. The girl has wounds on her leg. George pointed his wand on the girl's wound.
"Episkey, " George said and the wound healed.
The children looked amazed.
"Can you teach me how to do that?" The boy said to George.
George let out a soft laugh. It's the first time he laughs again after (Y/N) left.
"I can but first tell me your name, " George said.
"I'm Fred, " the boy said.
"My name is Levi, " the girl said shyly.
George was shocked by hearing the name of his dead brother and friend. This is just a coincidence or maybe not.
"Fred, Levi!" Someone called.
"Daddy Draco, " the children said happily.
George stared at Draco, the children run at him.
"Mama is looking for you why did you run away like that, " Draco said.
George stood up and just stared at the kids who were asking Draco to carry them. George sighed and carried Fred.
"I'll help you I'm heading to the Leaky Cauldron what about you?" George asked.
"The Leaky Cauldron, thanks Weasley, " Draco said.
Fred was staring at George the whole time. And George felt like he is carrying his own son.
"Your children?" George asked.
"No, I'm just their godfather, a friend's children, " Draco explained.
"What's your name mister?" Fred asked.
"I'm George Fabian Weasley, " George replied.
"Really? We have the same surname Mr George, " Fred said.
"What's your name then?" George asked.
"My name is Fred Weasley, my twin sister is Levi Weasley, " Fred said.
"You're a Weasley?" George asked.
"We are, but we haven't met our dada yet, mama said we will meet him soon, " Fred said.
George became more confused. How come there's an unknown Weasley? He's sure that he doesn't have a niece or nephew that was named after his twin brother and friend. And he doesn't hear anything about (Y/N) for years. 'I must consult mum about this' George thought.
--
After looking for presents you stopped by the ice cream shop to treat your children and Draco. On your way out someone called your name.
"(Y/N)?" Someone called.
You turned to see who it is. It's Ron with Hermione, Harry and Ginny.
"Hi, " that's the word that escaped from your mouth.
"When did you arrive?" Hermione asked.
"Yesterday, " you replied.
"It's nice to see you again, " Harry said.
"You too, " You smiled at them.
"(Y/N) we're sorry about George, " Ron said.
"I already moved on, " you said.
"No, it's a misunderstanding, " Ginny said.
"I'm okay now, I'm living my life it doesn't bother me anymore, " you said.
"Can you please talk to him? He didn't know that you're here right?" Ron said.
"I will when I'm ready, I have to go the children are waiting for me, " you said.
"Children?" Ginny asked.
"You have kids? You're married to another man?" Harry asked.
"No, I'm not married to another man, I'll explain soon I really have to go, " you said.
"We'll see you around, " Hermione said and waved at you.
You exited the ice cream shop and went straight to the Leaky Cauldron.
"What took you so long?" Draco asked.
"Nothing, here I bought this for you, " You said and handed them the ice cream.
"Mama we've met an amazing man, " Levi said.
"Really who is he?" You asked.
"He just left, " Draco said.
"Mama we want to meet Mr George again, " Fred said.
You're shocked hearing his name from your children. Did they really encounter their father?
"We have to leave now, we're heading to grandma and grandpa, " you said.
The children cheered and all of you excited the Leaky Cauldron.
"(Y/N) I have to go now, I'll see you later, " Draco said.
You nodded and the kids wave goodbye at Draco. Finally, you arrive at the Burrow. No one was outside. You're anxious because for the last 5 years it's your first time showing yourself to Molly again. She might be angry at you she might unwelcome you.
"(Y/N)!" Someone called at the back.
"Charlie?" You asked.
"It's nice seeing you again!" He said.
He hugged you and you did the same.
"We haven't seen you for ages, how have you been?" Charlie asked.
"Everything is well, " you said.
"And who might these children be?" Charlie asked and knelt down.
"Are you my grandpa?" Fred asked enthusiastically.
"Do I look like a grandpa to you?" Charlie asked and laugh.
"He's not your grandpa, he's your uncle, " you said.
"Grandpa is inside the house, " Charlie said.
"I want to meet grandpa and grandma and uncles and aunties, " Levi said.
"And Dada, " Fred finished her sentence.
"Well come on let's go and meet grandma and grandpa and uncles and aunties, " Charlie said.
The children take Charlie's hand and all of you walked inside the Burrow.
"(Y/N)!" Molly exclaimed.
You're expecting her to be mad but she just hugged you. And Arthur did the same.
"Happy birthday Mrs Weasley, " you said.
"Happy birthday Grandma, " you twins said and handed her the present.
"Are they?" Arthur said.
You nodded with a smile.
"Mama, are they grandma," Levi asked.
"And grandpa?" Fred asked finishing Levi's question.
"Yes darling, " you said with a smile.
"Levi and I are so excited to meet, " Fred said.
"Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunties and Dada, " Levi said finishing Fred's sentence.
"They are like Fred and George when they were younger, " Charlie said.
"Come to grandma and grandpa, " Molly said opening her arms.
The kids run to Molly and Arthur and gave them a hug.
"What should grandpa call you?" Arthur asked Fred.
"My name is Fred, Mama said she named me after a wise and brave uncle, " Fred said proudly.
"I memorized my whole name for grandma and grandpa, I'm Levi Georgia Weasley, " Levi said proudly.
The kids are so delighted being with George's family. But it's already nightfall and you have to go.
"We have to go we will come back tomorrow, " you said.
"Can't you stay for dinner? Ron, Ginny, George and Bill are coming, " Molly said.
"I'm sorry Mrs Weasley, I'm afraid that the situation might be awkward for me and George, " you said.
"Don't be sorry dear, we understand and stop calling me Mrs Weasley you're still my favourite daughter-in-law, " Molly said.
"Before you go, uncle Charlie has a gift for Freddie and Levi, " Charlie said giving them a dragon stuff toy.
You thanked them before you leave and when you walk outside the house you can see that Draco is waiting at the nearest tree.
"When did you arrive?" You asked.
"Just now, " he replied.
"Well then let's go home, " you said.
--
It's finally evening and the Burrow was busy. One by one the Weasleys arrive having their gift for their mother. In the middle of the dinner, George asked his mother about the kids he met this morning.
"Mum I meet two kids this morning. They said they're a Weasley and they look like one. You have only one grandchild, right?" George asked.
"Where did you meet them?" Ron asked.
"At the Diagon Alley, they're with Malfoy, " George said.
"We met (Y/N) at the ice cream shop, " Ginny said.
"She just left, " Charlie said.
"She went here?" George asked.
"Yea and I have seen her adorable ki-" before Charlie could finish her sentence, Molly kicked his leg making him wince in pain.
"Are hiding something from me?" George asked.
"Best if you directly ask her, " Arthur said.
"That's enough, let's not ruin mum's day, " Bill said.
George sighed and after dinner, he walked to his room. It's the million time he wished that Fred was still here. Because he knew that he would feel much better if he's twin is here because he's the only one who understands him the most. Every second without his brother or his wife is a torture to him. Suffering in this kind of sadness for years. No one knows how many time he cried silently. Every night, every time when he's alone. All he wanted is to be happy.
--
Today you're going to Diagon Alley to buy something. Your children are not coming with you, Draco is taking care of them. You're walking towards somewhere you don't know where your feet is dragging you because you're looking at the parchment on you're holding. After a few steps, your head hit something making you look where you're going.
"I'm sorry, " you apologised.
A familiar man was standing in front of you. He was tall and you can smell the scent you've been longing for.
"It's okay miss, " he said.
But he looked at you his eyes widened as well as yours.
"George!?" You said.
"(Y/N)?" He said.
He's happy seeing you again. You too but you still can't forget what he did years ago.
"Ron was right, you're here, " George said.
"Yea. I arrive before Mrs Weasley's birthday, " you said.
"(Y/N) about what happened years ago, I'm sorry if I could just turn back the time, " he said.
"It's okay I moved on from you anyway, " you lied.
'Does that mean you don't love me anymore, ' George thought. His heart again shattered into pieces.
"I have to go, " you said and walked away.
When you arrive at your home Draco said that Ron is here to talk to you.
"Ron, what brings you here?" You asked.
"I just want to tell you that night was a misunderstanding he was under a love potion, it's not his fault it's Angelina's, please give him another chance, I can't stand seeing George like that anymore, he's been suffering for years, please (Y/N), " Ron said.
You keep thinking about George. You can't even focus on your children. You don't even know what Draco is talking about while having dinner.
"(Y/N) are you listening to me?" Draco asked.
"Mama is not listening to Daddy Draco, " Fred said while playing with his food.
"I'm sorry what did you said?" You asked.
"Nothing, I'll take the kids to bed, " Draco said.
Draco and the kids went to bed and you cleaned the dining table. After cleaning the dining table you sat on the couch in front of the fireplace and read a book.
"(Y/N), " someone called.
You look around to see who's calling you and you saw Fred and Levi.
"Freddie, Levi?" You said.
Both of them are smiling at you.
"He loves you so much, " Levi said.
"Talk to him before it's too late," Fred said.
"Too late what do you mean?" You asked.
But they disappeared.
"(Y/N) wake up, " Draco said shaking you.
You fell asleep while reading a book.
"Where's Levi and Fred?" You asked.
"They're asleep, " Draco replied.
"No, not the kids, George's twin and your cousin, " You said.
"They're dead, " Draco said.
"But they just talked to me, " You replied.
"You're tired you should go to bed, " Draco said.
You immediately stand up ran outside.
The following days your dream kept bothering you.
"Maybe you should have him back, for you, for the children, I know you still love him, you still need him, you haven't moved on you just keep on telling yourself that you did but the truth is you haven't, " Draco said.

I'll kiss it better
Hi! This is the first fanfiction ive ever written, so hope its not that bad! Its a trixya highschool au where they’re both girls. The whole story will be Trixie’s POV :) also im from Norway so my English is not the best so sorry if there is alot of misstakes :(( hope you enjoy this anyway !
It was just a regular day, nothing new. The day had started with trixie aplying her barbie makeup, putting on one of her too many pink outfits, having classes that she was focused in, meeting her friends Violet and Pearl and eating gross food in the cafeteria. All tho, a day wouldnt be normal without spending her luch staring across the room at the popular’s table. Not that she cared that they were popular, but she did care that the most beautiful girl she had ever layed eyes on was on of them.
“Trixie! Omg can you stop looking at Katya and focus on me for a few minutes??” Violet said frowning at Trixie that clearly had spaced out in the middle of Violets monologs about herself.
“Wait what did you say?” Trixie looked back at Pearl and Violet who were both looking at her, Violet rolling her eyes as usual.
“If you wasnt so focused on ms. I let the whole school bang me, you would have heard that i was talking about what im going to wear for my next model job next week.” Violet said looking back at Pearl who gave her a sympathetic look, knowing how much Violet became annoyed when people didnt listen to her.
“Im sorryyyy. Its just that-”
“Yes yes Katya is beautiful, katya is amazing and Katya is the best creature that has ever lived, we know.” Violet said looking more upset.
“But i mean she may be-”
“No Trixie. She is not a lesbian. She has sucked off half of the football team, also, i dont even get why a slut like her would be popular.” She said crossing her arms like a kid throwing a tantrum.
Trixie hated how much Violet disliked Katya. It was obvious that she was jealous of her populaity, but no one ever said anything. Pearl was too busy loving Violet and supporting everything she said, and Max who usually sat with them, was too shy to say somthing unless it was about something being too vulgar for her. Trixie usually ignored her and focused back at Katya, but calling her a slut was not ok.
“Just because she likes dick doesnt mean she is a slut.” Trixie said trying to defend Katya like she had been her best friend since kindergarten.
“Trixie omg you just said it yourself, she likes dicks not pussy so get over it already.”
The bell rang before Trixie got to say anything else, so she ended up just rolling her eyes and got out of the cafeteria as fast as she could.
The next class was maths, and even tho Trixie liked to focus on her school work, she couldnt help but think about what Violet had said. Its not like she belived it herself that Katya was a lesbian or a bisexual, but thinking she was straight was way too negative. The sadest part was probably the fact that Katya didnt even know who Trixie was, even after soon 3 years in high school. Not that Trixie had noticed Katya before the start of the 3rd year either, but it sucked having a crush on someone who had abselutely no idea that you existed.
-
It was a week later, and Trixie was sitting in the cafeteria again, listening to Violet talk about how her photoshoot had gone yesterday. Today Max sat beside her on their table and listened with full enthusiasm while she was talking. She heard something about the photographer being a pervert and Pearl getting upset over this and Max wanting to call the police, but honestly right now she couldnt care less, cause Katya was wearing shorts for the first time since fall and her ass looked so great in them. Not to mention her hair being tied up in a long curly ponytail and a black crop top with some sort of cigarette print on it, to be honest it was hard to say with Katya being on the other side of the room, but at least she got to stare at her from behind, which might have been the greatest part of her week. She started thinking about how it would be to actually talk with her, she always laughed loud and had the biggest and most happy smile she had ever seen, so she could probably do it if she went for it. Pffth like she was ever gonna be brave enough to even say hi to her in the hall, at least not with her bitch committee following her.
“Are you staring at that girl again?” Asked Max looking at her with a hopeless look. Max was the one she had known the logest and probably the most supportive of the group, but it didnt mean she helped alot in her crush situation.
“No no, i was just, um thinking about the math test next week, thats all.” Trixie said with a half smile and got her focus away from Katya.
“You need to get yourself together and say hi soon. You cant just stare at her for two years without even trying.” It was the most suportive comment she had gotten out of any of them forever and she was happy with Max trying to help her. Not that it was helping but at least it wasnt Violet saying focus on me and not that slut.
“But she doesnt even know i exist…” She sight and got up ready to get to her next class.
“Try a hi anyways, unless you dont want her to know that you exist.” Pearl said as they walked on their way to their different classes.
Trixie was daydreaming on her way to her class, thinking about all sort of things, till she was half way up the stairs. She felt someone behind her lifting up her skirt. At that moment she was so unconfortable and upset that she turned around, ready to punch the pervert who was trying to take a peek at her panties. There was a bunch of people, both boys and girls standing behind her giggling and wispering to each other, but at the very front, right in front of her was Katya. She was trying not to burst into laughter while her friends around her was laughing their asses of.
Trixie felt her cheeks heat up and she turned around and ran up the stairs almost tripping, but made it into on of the bathroom stalls. She felt tears running down her cheeks as she thought about the most embarrassing thing ever happening to her comming true. There she was having this great idea that Katya was this amazing person who everyone liked because she was funny and warm hearted. She was wrong, she was just another part of the whole mean girls group. She couldnt belive why anyone, at least not her, would do that to her for no reason other than a laugh. She was angry at her, and most of all herself for letting herself having a crush on her for so long when in reality she was just this cold hearted bitch.
-
That night was filled with ice cream and her three friend spening their time talking about how much of a bitch the mean girls are and why Trixie shouldnt blame herself for wearing short skirts.
“She was probably just tring to act cool in front of the guys. Not that im taking her side, but maybe its more to the story?” Pearl said trying to find out why she would do that.
“I mean i already said she was a filthy slu-”
“Language Violet.” Max interrupted.
“Omg shut up. I already said she was an attention seeking bitch.” Violet said looking back at Max to see if he was alright with her saying bitch, Max gave her a look of approval.
“I know you did, b-but i still dont get why i could have a cursh on her when she was this kind of person all along..” She tried holding back herself from tearing up again.
“You didnt know sweetheart, its not your fault.” Max said and gave her another hug.
“Look tomorrow you’re gonna go over to her with confidence and tell her to fuck off ok?” Violet said and looked at the other people shaking their heads.
“No thats just being imature Violet, let her ignore her if she wants to, maybe its just better to forget the whole situation.” Max said, but Trixie didnt really listen anymore, she as tired from crying the whole night and wanted nothing more than to forget this day and most of all, forget Katya.

Before, I set this date to attend my very own bias’ send off party. But tricky things happen when my workmates also plan to hang out a day (night) prior to the send off event. It was so hard to choose between my wants. I wanted to go to the send off party as well as hang out with them. But I need to choose one. The send off party was scheduled today, 9AM in MOA and the hang out was the night before that date. It's an overnight outing.
Since I am not sure about both, I told both parties that I am not so sure of going to either because of prior schedule. So they will not expect. Since I can't decide, I did asked fate to decide for me. I look for a sign: if I passed by the hang out's venue, then, I'll go. If I'm not, then, I'll choose the send off. I set this sign a week before. I am also struggling a lot lately so not going to both events was not in my choices. I need someone to talk to. I've almost got the sign twice or thrice that week. But who knows what got into that driver of the jeep to passed by the venue the day, no, the night before the hangout. It was happy but sad. Happy that fate had decided but sad not to see the send off.
So did i prepared all my stuffs to use for the hang out. I slept late that night because though I got the sign, I still felt so unsure of going. But I still chose what fate wants me more to do. I know it came out for a reason. Maybe because I have something to tell them.
The hang out almost got cancelled in it's very last minute. But we made to pushed it through knowing that fact that somehow we have to deal with everybody's schedule if we set it to some other time. Maybe a little time for me. I still have almost 3, no, 2 months left.
Time flies really fast when you're happy. We chat, we ate. They sang. We laughed. And since it's an overnight outing, we feel and appreciate the cold of waters. But that coldness did not stop me to spill the bean. No. They made me say it. I hesitate for a bite because I have to go over the same pain I felt when it happen. The same emotion. The same heartache. I need to get it out from my system. I felt like crying. I cried. I am telling them something that someone don't want me to tell anyone. That someone who put her so-called trust to me. Feeling trusted is always a best feeling for me but this is way too different. Different from the all the trust that the people around gave me. I can't accept that trust knowing that fact that she needs something in return. Something she wants to come from me. It's giving me weight. It's pulling me down. It's unbearable.
I've done something I've never done before: Telling someone how I feel. How I felt. How it feels. Someone who I've known for almost 1 year. This is not me. But telling them this makes me feel lighter. It was heavy that no one can imagine, emotionally. I've talked to my friends and it felt light. This time it's lighter. It was like I was in a fever for weeks and taking this med will make me feel great tomorrow. I am at ease. I am now at ease.
A friend of mine once told me, “... You seems hard outside but you're really soft inside…” That made me in tears. Is this the reason why? Do I really look like I can carry everything? Am I really that tough enough for them to put the loads to me?
Then what now? I'll quit. Not today but soon. I have to get over them. I don't really cry over a spoilt milk. I don't care about their rules just how they don't care about their people. But quitting today will make me coward. Quitting later will be a brave move. I will lift myself up. From their pressure. Fix myself. And throw their worthless weight.
On the other side of this story, I guess fate made the right choice. He made this happen to me to realize that it's not just me. Maybe I can say that that was part of my work: to put your trust to them as your part of them. But what's more important to me is not them or they so-called trust or being a person who they can trust to bring them complaints from other. What's matter to me most was the friendship. A friend's trust.
P.S. I am writing this knowing that the send off party was out there ongoing.
P.P.S If you're asking why can't I just attend the two events. Well, I am not wonderwoman.
(These are the guys who heard me out last night. Well, insert one. @/Engr. Alvin Christian Monfero)
