I genuinely feel like I should’ve lied to you all, including my actual friends about having sex before just to escape judgement. Like my friends can never view me as a real adult (or at the very least view me as a loser) because I don’t have sex, especially considering I don’t drink alcohol or drive cars either

Charming
James Potter X Gryffindor reader
Kind of Enemies to start with.  This one is just a collection of scenes.
Summary: Reader hates James, and James keeps showing up to annoy her.
Warnings: Language, reader loves to flip James off, Lily is not a bad person in this, mentions of injuries,
I once again don't know how to keep things short like is over 8k words so its a long one.
Tumblr media
Potter was at it again, bothering Lily that is.  Which was no surprise at all, his life’s purpose was to bother Lily and pull obnoxious pranks. He was perched against the black tabletop, arms crossed, and that stupid charming smirk of his was present. He was spewing out nonsense, about what their first date would look like.
“Imagine it, Evans,” his tone dripped with mock sincerity. “Fireworks across the sky, a romantic broom ride under the stars, and—of course—a picnic with the finest butterbeer Hogwarts can offer.”
I rolled my eyes so hard it was a wonder they didn’t get stuck. Of course, Potters’ idea of romance would include the most cliché theatrics. He probably thought he was charming too.
Suppressing the urge to gag at his words, I refocused on the simmering potion before me, carefully stirring the thick, bubbling liquid in clockwise motions. The aroma was faintly herbal, with a sharp tang, it was my only indication I was on the right track.
“James,” Lily said, her voice was sweet but firm like a scolding mother. “I need to help my partner. She can’t do all the work alone.”
Her words pulled his attention my way for the first time their entire conversation. He turned, and for a fleeting second, something softened in his brown eyes. But his trademark grin returned, and whatever glimmer of humanity I’d spotted was gone.
“Oh, I see. Don’t worry, Lily, I’m sure she’s perfectly capable of stirring a pot without supervision. Isn’t that, right?” His tone was light, but there was a condescending edge that made my grip on the spoon tighten.
I shot him a cold glare before flipping him off without a word.
“Charming,” he quipped, that maddening smirk of his only widening. “aren’t you just a little ray of sunshine”
I was tempted to lob the wooden spoon at his head. Infuriating—That’s what Potter was. Every word out of his mouth made me want to throttle him.
Lily let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. “James really?”
Muttering the word ‘asshole’ under my breath, I skirted around him to retrieve a forgotten ingredient from the shelf at the back of the classroom. I glanced back at our table and Lily was smacking him on the arm, hissing something to him. By the time I returned to our workstation, he’d finally slunk back to his seat beside Sirius, whose shoulders were shaking with barely suppressed laughter.
Lily offered me an apologetic smile. “Sorry, he’s just…James”
“He is arrogant and full of himself.” I replied, dumping in a measure of powdered moonstone into the cauldron. “I can see why you always tell him to booger off.”
“He is cute,” She admitted with a small shrug. “But he has eyes for someone else.”
I almost dropped the spoon. Of all the ridiculous things she could say that had to top them all.  Everyone in the castle knew Potter was utterly infatuated with her. It was the topic of every whispered bet in the corridors.
“Right.” I muttered in disbelief under my breath.
Before I could say anymore there was a loud hiss and crackle coming from behind us. My head snapped up just in time to see a plume of green smoke erupting out of Potters and Sirus’s cauldron. Whatever they had brewed smelled noxious.
“Everyone, step back!” Professor Slughorn’s voice boomed as he waved his wand to contain the smoke.
But before I could move, the cauldron gave a final, violent pop. A spray of scalding liquid flew in all directions. I let out a small squeak closing my eyes and bracing for the inevitable burn. Amongst the chaotic noise I swear I heard someone yell out my name.
The pain never came.
A firm grip caught my arm, yanking me back. When I opened my eyes again there was a sizzling green goop right where I was standing. I was met with Potters concerned eyes when I looked up. His signature grin was gone, replaced by an intensity I had never seen before.
“Are you okay?” He asked, voice unusually quiet.
Potter looked me over inspecting for any sort of injury. Both his hands were on my shoulder’s steading my shaking form.
I blinked once, twice, three times, before responding. “Uh… Yeah.”
His hands lingered on me a moment longer before taking a step back, running a hand through his hair. Sirus behind me was laughing so hard he was nearly in tears.
“James, mate that was brilliant!” Sirus wheezed, wiping his eyes.
Potter shot him a frosty look. It was an expression I didn’t know he could conjure; he was always smiling and carefree.
“Brilliant? You nearly got her killed.” He bit out shoving me behind him.
Sirus froze, his laughter dying. “Oh, come on it wasn’t that bad.”
But James wasn’t listening. He turned his attention back to me, his expression softer. “Are you really, okay?”
I nodded mutely, still trying to process what was happening. The boy who annoyed me every waking moment was being… Kind to me?
Potter nodded back before walking out of the room. His shoulders tense.
Lily leaned over, whispering, “See? He’s not all bad.”
I didn’t reply. For once, I was at a loss for words.
Tumblr media
The courtyard was peaceful despite the bustling of students crossing through. I sat in a shady patch of grass with an old, but well-loved book.
“Fancy seeing you here,” Potter’s voice rang out, breaking my solitude like a shattering glass.
I let out a groan. He had an uncanny knack for ruining perfectly good days. I didn’t bother looking up, pretending to focus on the words in front of me.
“What do you want, Potter?” I muttered, my tone sharp.
He plopped down on the grass right beside me, stretching out like he owned the place.
“Just enjoying the great outdoors, same as you. Sans the book. I think you read more than Remus.”
I finally looked up; my scowl sharp enough to peel paint. “There’s an entire courtyard for you to ‘enjoy.’ Go find a different patch of grass.”
“But this is the best spot,” he said cheerfully, completely ignoring my attempt to banish him. “Nice shade, quiet atmosphere, good company—”
“Youre impossible,” I cut him off, snapping my book shut. “Do you ever get tired of being... you?”
“Nope,” he replied, popping the P. “And you don’t seem tired of it either.”
I blinked at him, stunned by the audacity. “I literally just told you to leave. What part of that makes you think I like you?”
“Yet you haven’t left.” He leaned in slightly, the smell of sandalwood and vanilla coming from him. “I think you secretly like having me around.”
Potters eyes were twinkling.
“I think you are delusional,” I countered, but my voice cracked slightly. His smile deepened like he’d caught me in some grand confession.
“Delusional, huh? Interesting diagnosis, sunshine”
My head snaped back to him so fast I nearly got whiplash. “What did you- What did you just call me?”
“Sunshine.” He repeated, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “Fits, doesn’t it?”
He really was delusional.
“No, it doesn’t,” I bit out through gritted teeth. “don’t call me that.”
“Why not? It’s perfectly you. You are so warm and radiant”
My hand clenched around the edge of my book, and for a split second, I considered using it as a weapon.
I stared at him in disbelief. My jaw tightening. “I hate you.”
“Aw, don’t be like that, Sunshine.” his smirk now verging on insufferable. “Deep down, I think you actually like me.”
I stood up so fast he flinched slightly.
“Listen, Potter. I don’t know what twisted game you’re playing, but I’m not interested. Call me that again, and I swear—”
“What? You’ll hex me?” he interrupted, clearly unbothered by any threat I could make. “Go ahead. I’m dying to see what you’d come up with.”
The nerve of this boy.
Instead of dignifying his challenge with a response, I glared harder before turning on my heel and storming off. Behind me, I could hear his laughter following me like an annoying echo.
“See you around, Sunshine!” he called after me, his voice ringing with triumph.
I flipped him off without turning around, my blood boiling.
Sunshine? What an absolutely ridiculous, infuriating nickname. And yet, as I stalked back to the castle, I couldn’t stop replaying the way he’d said it—like it was a joke only he understood.
I hated him. I really, really hated him.
Tumblr media
I had managed to keep the Potter interactions to a minimum. I avoided him by ducking behind statues whenever I caught sight of his messy hair or hiding behind Lily when in class. For a moment, I thought I’d finally regained my background character peace.
The Sunshine nickname had stuck much to my dismay. Every time he said it in class, I swear my blood pressure spiked.
Which is why, when the library’s familiar quiet atmosphere enveloped me one late evening, I let myself relax for the fist time in days. This was my slice of heaven. The dim candlelight and the faint scent of parchment was soothing, a perfect backdrop for tackling the mountain of notes piled before me.
“Well, well if it isn’t my favorite ray of sunshine, hiding in the shadows.” Potters voice drawled breaking the silence like a Bludger through a window.
My quill stilled mid-sentence, and I groaned internally.
“Don’t you have someone else to bother?” I pursed my lips pretending to think. “Like Lily perhaps?”
Instead of taking the hint, he pulled out the chair in front of me and plopped down.  This took my attention away from the papers in front of me. Potters grin was so smug it could rival the Cheshire Cat’s. How could one person be so obnoxious?
“Lily’s got enough admirers for one day. Besides,” he said, leaning back slinging a toned arm over the chair next to him. “you’re far more interesting.”
“Watch it. Lily is my friend,” I shot back, folding my arms across my chest. “What do you want, Potter?”
“Nothing much,” as he spoke, as he leaned his chair on its back legs.  “Just thought you could use some company.”
Company? What about me in a dark corner with books scattered about screams I need company. Potter was an idiot.
A special kind of idiot.
“I don’t need company” I snapped turning back to my notes.
“You sure?” He was leaning forward now. “You seem awfully tense maybe I could help.”
I arched an eyebrow at him unimpressed with his antics. The only person in his group I would accept help from was Remus. He spent more time on schoolwork then I did.
“Unless you have suddenly become an expert in transfiguration theory, I seriously doubt you can help”
Potter hummed before picking up my book.
“Transfiguration, huh?” He tilted his head to the side like a curious dog. The candles reflected off his glasses creating a glare.
“Nope can’t help with that. But I am an excellent distraction from stress.”
“Clearly.” I mumbled, yanking my book back.
He chuckled, a warm sound that I refused to acknowledge as pleasant.
“You don’t have to be so prickly sunshine.”
“Maybe I am prickly because you are insufferable.” I shot back.
I wanted to throw something at him, but the detention was not worth it.
“But I think you mean I am insufferably charming.” He countered.
“As charming as a toad.”
That earned me a loud laugh from him, he was genuinely amused. “Sunshine has jokes, I like this side of you.”
I didn’t say anything just flipped him off. Potter laughed again, the sound carrying through the now empty library.
“Prongs!” Sirius voice rang out from somewhere near the entrance. “Come on, we’ve got rounds.”
James stood up, still looking at me. “Guess I’ll leave you to it, Sunshine.” He winked as he walked away, leaving me wondering what the hell had just happened.
It was about a week later before he spoke to me again. I was on an evening stroll around the grounds enjoying the crisp evening air.
Potter was at the lake skipping stones with his group. They were all laughing and making fun of something. I was to far away to hear. Sirus noticed me first nudging James in the arm pointing in my direction. I narrowed my eyes.
“Sunshine!” He called out. As if were the greatest of pals.
I kept walking, acting like I didn’t hear him. He jogged up the hill quickly falling into step with me.
“What has you in such a hurry?”
“Trying to avoid you and your gaggle of friends.” I was blunt not bothering to soften the blow.
“Harsh,” He clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me.”
“You will survive, especially if you know, just leave me alone.”
There was a beat of silence.
“You know you could just admit you like me”
I halted my steps and blinked turning mid step. “Why on earth would I do that?”
“Because everyone likes me!” I half expected him to spin with his arms out, but he just shrugged.
The confidence of him. His parents raised an irritatingly confident secure personality.
I rolled my eyes, “That is impossible Potter, because I really don’t like you.”
“Oh, I will grow on you, I promise.” There was a playfulness to his tone.
“Like a fungus, maybe.” I scoffed.
James burst out laughing, the sound wasn’t entirely unpleasant. My lips twitched fighting a smile. He was kind of cute in that moment. The way the setting sun caught in his hair and how he absentmindedly adjusted his glasses made him look... well, charming.
Shaking the thought away, I did what came naturally and flipped him off continuing my walk. This time, though, the gesture was almost playful.
Before I got far, I glanced back and spotted Sirius patting James on the back with a mischievous grin. My stomach sank. They were up to something, and I was undoubtedly their next target.
I steeled myself, pulling my walls higher than ever. I wouldn’t fall victim to whatever scheme they were concocting.
Not this time.
Tumblr media
Avoiding Potter from that point on had become a fulltime task. No matter where I went, he showed up with a cheesy pick-up line. Somehow, he was everywhere. Like he had some sort of magical tracker. Which was why I had taken refuge under the shade of a secluded oak tree on the furthest side of the castle grounds. A book clutched in my hands like it was my lifeline of sanity. Lily had recommended it to me. It was a fun muggle mystery. She had called it a classic.
“I think about it a lot you know. What our first date would look like.”  Potters annoying voice spoke from above me.
And yet, there he was, like a persistent weed sprouting through the cracks. Of course, the obnoxious boy would find this well-hidden tree. How was he always finding me?
“Umm what?” I sputtered not quite believing what I heard.
“You heard me sunshine.” that damn confidence was back, as if he was going to get what he wanted out of this conversation.
The sun made it difficult to see him, its light blasting directly into my eyes from behind his head, forming a blinding halo around him.
“Stop lying, it’s not cute.”  I muttered.
Potter moved to the side; my eyes followed.  He was unfazed by my dismissiveness. I closed my book with a snap, no longer able to tolerate being in the same space as him.
“I promise you, I’m not,” his voice still dripping with that unshakeable confidence.
He was up to something, and I had no idea what it was—but I sure wasn’t going to stick around to find out.
“I will believe that hmm… let’s see- never.” I stood up, almost headbutting Potter.
“Sunshine, even if you don’t believe me now, I am good at proving people wrong.”
Before taking my leave, I flipped him off aggressively. The gesture sharp and final, I wanted him to get the message to leave me alone. Usually when someone flips another person off, they get a clue.
But he laughed.
On my way back to the castle I passed by a Sirus Black hiding behind a statue. He was clearly trying (and failing) to stifle a laugh. That confirmed it—they were definitely up to something, and I had no intention of being the butt of their joke.
Tumblr media
Potter had taken Lilys seat in potions class. She sent me an apologetic look when I entered. Slughorn wouldn’t be bothered. He just cared that everyone sat and paid attention.
“Guess I am your partner today, Sunshine.” He greeted.
I ignored him, dumping my books on the table with a thud. Ignoring him was not working for me but it was the only thing keeping me from harming him.  Potter was like a dog with a bone—relentless.
“Did you know you’re my favorite lab partner?” he added, his voice light, teasing.
“No, and I don’t care,” I muttered, flipping through my notes.
Slughorn us gave us instructions to brew the potion we talked about earlier in the week. I opened my notebook to the vigorous notes I had taken.  I got up collecting everything we needed and started the process without a word.
Halfway through and Potter hadn’t moved. He was supposed to be actually helping brew. But he was utterly useless, just sitting there staring at me with his head propped up on his fist.
It was infuriating.
“Merlin! Potter, you need to help me,” I snapped, thrusting the spoon in his direction. The frustration in my voice was impossible to miss.
His only response was a stupid dopy grin, He didn’t flinch, didn’t so much as blink at the spoon an inch from his nose. Instead, that ridiculous grin widened.
"You know, sunshine, if I could brew a potion to make you smile, I would." He winked, and I resisted the urge to hex him.
He was impossible. No wonder Lily always said no—these were the kind of lines you’d expect from a child. What did I do to earn his attention?
“Do these lines actually work for you?” I frowned.
“I don’t know,” he said, his amber eyes twinkling now. “Are they?”
There it was again—his infuriating ability to twist every interaction into a game. I wasn’t playing.
There was no way he was insinuating anything with me. Everyone knew he only had eyes for the redhead—Lily—who just happened to be my actual potions partner. Just a few weeks ago he was at our table bothering her.
“I meant, do they work on Lily?” I clarified, my voice flat.
James tilted his head, feigning confusion, though the mischievous glint in his eyes gave him away. “Why would I care about that?”
For the millionth time since I’d met the boy, I rolled my eyes again.
“For the love of Merlin, just stir,” I hissed, shoving the spoon into his hand.
To my surprise, he actually complied, though he made a dramatic show of it, swirling the liquid as though he were crafting some grand masterpiece.
“See? I’m not completely useless, “his tone insufferably self-satisfied.
I ignored him, turning my attention back to the notes. Sirius let out a snort of laughter, only to be smacked on the back of the head by Remus.
“Get back to work,” Remus muttered, though his lips twitched with suppressed amusement.
It was impossible to ignore the lingering sense that Potter was up to something—and I was the target.
Tumblr media
James Potter took it upon himself to sit at my usual dining table. My quiet, little secluded corner—the one that no one really bothered with except Lily and her close circle of friends. He slid into the seat across from me his tie undone.
I raised an eyebrow at him, fork halfway to my mouth. What does he want now?
“Are you made of stardust?” I looked heavenward; his tone was teasing but had a softness. “Because every time I look at you, the world seems to disappear."
I set my fork down, sending him a flat look. “You seriously think I am going to fall for one of your cheesy lines while eating?”
He was persistent to pull of whatever prank they were up to. If only he applied that persistence’s to his schoolwork.
Potter shrugged, but this time there was no playful retort. Instead, his grin faded slightly, replaced by something almost... serious. "Maybe I’m just hoping one will finally catch your attention."
The tone change caught me off guard. I almost believed him. He has been playful and flirty the last few weeks. There was movement a couple feet away that caught my attention. Sirus was leaning against the wall just within earshot.
He looked like he was barely containing a laugh, as though James was the star player in some elaborate joke they’d cooked up.
They were too obvious. My frown deepened.
"Potter, your games won’t work on me,” my voice sharper than I intended. "You’re wasting your time."
His gaze softened further, and for once the playfulness was gone. "Maybe I like wasting my time... if it means I get to spend it with you."
The sincerity in his voice made my stomach twist, and I hated it. Hated how, for a fleeting second, I felt something crack in my resolve. But before I could dwell on it, Sirius snorted loudly from his perch, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
Another pick-up line? Another game? Another performance for his friends?
Potter just didn’t seem to know when enough was enough. My appetite was officially gone, and I had no intention of sticking around to entertain whatever nonsense they were plotting.
“You really don’t get it, do you?” I said slinging my bag over my shoulder.  “I’m not just some joke to you and your friends.”
“Wait—” James started, his hand reaching out like he might stop me.
But I didn’t give him the chance. Before he could say another word, I flipped him off and stalked out of the dining hall, not bothering to look back.
The moment I stepped into the corridor, the tension in my chest eased slightly, though my thoughts still churned. It was bad enough that James had inserted himself into nearly every aspect of my day. Classes, hallways, even the library. He was everywhere.
I didn’t know what he and his friends were planning.
And yet, as I made my way through the castle, a new thought began to gnaw at the edges of my frustration. Was this all part of some elaborate ploy to make Lily jealous? A way to grab her attention by pretending to care about someone else?
The idea stung more than I wanted to admit.
Of course, I told myself firmly. That has to be it. Why else would someone like James Potter be wasting his time with me?
Pushing the thought aside, I tightened my grip on my bag and headed for the common room. I wasn’t going to let him—or his stupid, infuriating grintake up any more space in my head.
Tumblr media
Lily my saving grace was in her spot when I entered the potions classroom. Relief flooded through me, and for the first time in days I felt lighter. There she was my red headed angel. With a smile, I dropped into my seat next to her, savoring the normalcy.
“I didn’t think I’d ever be so happy to see your face," I whispered to Lily.
She laughed softly. "James is persistent, isn’t he? I got to class early to make sure I got my spot.”
As if on cue, the door to the classroom opened, and Potter’s messy head of hair appeared. His eyes dulled when he noticed Lily sitting next to me. For a moment, his usual smile faltered, the realization that his plan had been thwarted clearly hitting him. He glanced at me, then back at Lily, shaking his head. I stuck my tongue out at him in playful defiance.
James gave me a half-smile, and made his way to the table behind us.
Lily leaned in closer, her side brushing against mine as she whispered, ““Do you need help getting James to leave you alone?”
I shook my head. “No, he will lose interest eventually.”
She gave me a look before responding. “I doubt that. He has always had his eyes on you.”
I shot her sideways glance. “He was always flirting with you and begging you to date him.”
Her lips curled into a small knowing smile. “Only when I am around you. Which is why I always said no.”
My eyes widened in disbelief, and I almost laughed. “You’re crazy,”
my voice was just above a whisper now.
But as I took in her words, something shifted inside me. We all knew James potter had been in love with Lily for years- He had practically made a sport out of trying to win her over. But hearing her admit that his attention had only intensified when I was around... it felt strange.
I couldn’t help the flicker of discomfort that passed through me at the thought. Why would he suddenly change tactics? I was still convinced he was playing a prank.
Lily nudged me gently, “You’re not as oblivious as you pretend to be, you know.”
I sighed, trying to ignore the strange, fluttering feeling in my stomach. “I’m not oblivious. I just don’t want to deal with it.”
She chuckled softly, her voice full of affection. “You don’t have to deal with it alone. Just know I’m here for you, alright?”
I gave her a grateful smile, leaning in to whisper back, “Thanks, Lil I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Her smile softened, and she gave my shoulder a gentle squeeze.
Tumblr media
The Gryffindor common room was warm and bustling with activity, the fire crackling in the hearth and casting flickering shadows across the walls. Groups of students gathered in clusters, laughing and chatting, while others bent over homework or played games. I had tucked myself away in a corner near the window, the happy buzzing fading into background noise as I doodled in my notebook.
I glanced up when I heard Potters voice, a playful lilt as he joked with Sirius on their way in. My heart sank. My shoulders stiffened, and I hunched further over my parchment, praying he’d move along. Surely, he wouldn’t notice me here.
He made eye contact with me immediately, as if he knew I was there.
The room seemed to hush around me, or perhaps it was just my nerves heightening as his footsteps grew closer.
“I need to talk to you,” he said, stopping beside my chair. There was a resolve in his eyes. Potter was determined right now.
I didn’t make eye contact. “Whatever it is, I’m not interested.”
But he didn’t move. Instead, he crouched slightly to meet my gaze, his usual grin replaced by a more serious expression. “I mean it. Can we talk?”
My patience snapped. My chair scraped against the stone floor as I stood up. “I’m not sure what you and your group are up to,” I said, my voice low.
“But stay away from me. I am not something to play with and laugh at.”
“That’s not what—”
I didn’t want to hear what he had to say. It was probably all lies anyway.
“Save it, Potter,” I cut him off, crossing my arms tightly over my heart.
The usual noise of the common room seemed to fade entirely. I just wanted to be left alone, to return to the peace of being forgotten by most. I was here to get an education, to keep my head down, and leave this castle behind.
His expression faltered, just for a second, before he squared his shoulders. “It’s not a joke. I’m not—”
“I don’t care, I just want to be left alone.”
He sighed, dragging a hand through his messy hair, a nervous tic I’d seen countless times now. “You think I’d go through all this trouble for a joke? You think I’d—”
Potter stopped talking when my eyes flicked to Sirius, who was lounging on one of the sofas, smirking like he found the entire situation hilarious. A look of understanding crossed James’s features.
“Please, Sunshine” his voice softer now, almost pleading. His hand reached out, grasping my wrist as I turned to walk away his fingers brushing against my pulse. “Listen to me.”
I froze, my pulse quickening, but not from fear. No not from fear.
“We aren’t playing some joke. Sirus is always around as moral support. He is a shitty wingman.”
Sirus let out an offended noise.
“Let me go,” I hissed, narrowing my eyes at him. “I don’t trust you.”
When he didn’t release my wrist, I glared and flipped him off with my free hand. His lips twitched, almost into a smile, but the determination in his gaze didn’t waver.
“Go ahead and flip me off, love,” his voice tinged with quiet resolve. “I’ll prove to you that I’m serious.”
The words hung between us like a dare, his amber eyes searching mine for some crack in the wall I’d so carefully built. I was stunned into silence. This wasn’t the James Potter I’d come to expect—the grinning troublemaker who lived for attention and pranks. This was different.
“Prove what?” I said flatly, more a statement than a question.
“That I really really like you,” he replied, his grip on my wrist loosening but not quite letting go. “I’m not playing games. I know I’ve been... annoying.”
An understatement.
“But I need you to know that I’m not doing this to mess with you.”
I snorted, though the sound lacked conviction. “You’re always messing with someone, Potter.”
“Not you,” he said softly.
That stopped me cold. There was no smirk, no teasing edge, just the quiet insistence of his words and the weight of his gaze.
I shook my head, pulling my hand free.
“You don’t have to believe me now,” he said as I stepped back. “But I’ll prove it to you.”
I paused, my heart inexplicably skipping a beat. Then, without another word, I turned and walked away, leaving him standing there.
Tumblr media
Things weren’t like before when James Potter was just an annoyance— a loud self-assured presence that demanded attention. Whether you wanted to give it to him or not. No, something was different now, and I was having a hard time making sense of it.
He stopped pestering me in class. There was no interrupting my study sessions or tossing out cheesy pickup lines. Instead, he was actually helping me in class, gave me space when I asked for it, and didn’t push my buttons just for the fun of it.
I couldn’t remember the last time I had flipped him off, and strangely I did miss it.
Part of me hated the change. It felt like losing an old habit. But the other half of me was enjoying the calm side of him. The side of James that was almost thoughtful. Maybe he really wasn’t doing it all for attention or laughs.
I was hidden between bookshelves, shelving the books I no longer needed when I caught the unmistakable sound of Sirus’s voice. It was loud and drifting from a nearby table.
Eavesdropping was bad. I knew that. But my curiosity was piqued and so I took small slow steps, careful to not make a sound.
“She is a lost cause” Sirus was saying, his tone almost sarcastic.
Who is she? Was the ‘she’ me?
“I mean it, James. She always flipping you off and has a permanent scowl. Its hopeless mate.”
Ahh so the she was definitely me. My heart twinged in a way I didn’t expect. I did flip Potter off a lot, but hearing Sirus dismiss me so easily stung.
“Sirus.” James’s tone came out as a warning. “You don’t know her, and you are crossing a line.”
Sirius paused, his grin faltering as he looked at James with a raised hand. “Alright, alright, no need to get all protective. I was just making a point.”
James didn’t respond, his jaw set as he turned back to his parchment, the tension in his shoulders lingered as his quill scratched along the paper.
I ducked back behind the shelf, my heart racing for reasons I did not want to admit. James had defended me to his best friend. Made it clear I wasn’t someone he could get a laugh at.
James wasn’t as bad as I thought he was. There was more to him then the playful antics and relentless charm. And I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about that.
Tumblr media
James had gotten hurt during quidditch practice last night. Lily had casually mentioned he was being kept in the hospital wing for observation. Apparently, they were worried that his head injury was worse than it seemed.
I hated to admit it, but I was worried about him. An annoying flutter in my chest came at the thought of him laying there injured and alone. But how could I just go visit him? Just showing up out of nowhere would seem odd. Especially after I spent so much energy convincing myself, and everyone else, that I couldn’t stand him.
When my notes tumbled out of my bag I had tossed to the side, I found my excuse.
I will make copies of my notes.
 Its practical.
Thoughtful.
Not suspicious.
It wasn’t long before I found myself standing in the doorway of the hospital wing, clutching the freshly copied notes nervously. I should leave. This was stupid. Remus would have notes for him when he was released. He didn’t need me.
Before I could back out the door he saw me. His eyes lit up and lips curved upwards into a smile despite the cut on his lip.
“Sunshine, you came to visit.” His voice was warm.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” I shot back, waving the notes at him. “McGonagall asked me to bring these.”
He smirked seeing right through my lie.
“Did she?” he asked, leaning forward slightly. He winced at the motion, and before I could think I was at his bedside.
“Stop moving, you are going to make things worse.” I scolded.
James raised his hands up in mock surrender. “Yes ma’am.”
Rolling my eyes I hesitated for a moment before sitting on the edge of the bed. Up close the injury looked worse. A dark bruise was peeking out over the top of the bandage. A quick pang of sympathy ran through me.
James must have noticed my expression, because his pupils softened.
“You know,” he said a teasing lilt to his tone, but nothing over the top. “I’d get hurt more often if it meant you’d visit me like this.”
Without warning I reached out, brushing his stray curls away from his forehead. They were softer than I had expected.
“Don’t be stupid,” I muttered, handing him the notes.
As he reached out to take them, his fingers brushed against mine. The contact was brief, but it sent a jolt through me. I pulled my hand back immediately, pretending to adjust the hem of my sleeve.
“You’re ridiculous,” my words lacked their usual bite.
“Ridiculously happy to see you.” he countered, grinning in that familiar, infuriating way.
Groaning, I shifted to stand up, but his hand caught mine, gently pulling me back down. This time, I didn’t pull away. I let his fingers curl around mine.
“Thanks for coming,” His thumb brushed lightly against the back of my hand, a gesture so simple and tender that it caught me off guard.
I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry.
“It’s just notes.”
“It’s more than that,” he replied, his eyes holding mine. “It means something.”
I didn’t know how to respond, so I let the silence stretch between us. When I finally pulled my hand away so he could rest, I missed the warmth of his touch.
“Well,” I said, standing. “Don’t get used to it.”
“We’ll see about that.” He winked.
“Get some rest Potter.”
“What will it take for you to call me James?”
I paused at the foot of his bed, glancing back at him with a smirk.
“We will just have to see,” I quipped.
Something had shifted, and there was no going back.

The biting cold of the Forbidden Forest seeped through my robes as I stumbled over a twisted root. I barley caught myself before face planting into the dirt. My wand was clenched into a death grip, the dim glow of Lumos casting a little more then a pale circle of light. Shadows stretched in every direction, distorting the trees into looming specters. It was an endless sea of black.
Shit, shit, shit.
“Brilliant,” I grumbled to myself attempting to lighten my mood with sarcasm. “Absolutely brilliant.”
Class had ended ages ago. The castle was surely alive with the hum of dinner, but I was lost, hungry and beyond exhausted. My arm throbbed where I had scraped it against a jagged branch, and panic began to set in. Now would be a great time for James to magically appear like he always did.
A sudden rustle nearby caused me to freeze in place. My heart was beating against my ribs rapidly. I slowly moved the light in the direction the sound came from.
There was a low growl from somewhere in the darkness. My breath caught in my throat. I was going to die here.
And I ran.
I didn’t know where I was going, but staying felt like an early invite to my grave. Twigs snapped under my feet; the cold air stung my face.
A bright white beam of light pierced through the trees, and a frantic voice followed.
“Sunshine, where are you?”
Relief flooded through the me my knees buckled.
“I’m here!” I called out my voice trembling. I was going to cry.
The growling stopped abruptly, and there was hurried footsteps making their way to me.
James burst into view, his wand raised high, and his hair was a mess more so then usual. His white button up was disheveled and stained, as if he had plowed through every branch in his path to get to me. His wild eyes locked on mine, and his entire body sagged with visible relief.
But only for a moment.
In a heartbeat, his hands were gripping my shoulders, his gaze scanning me from head to toe.
“Are you hurt?”  he demanded, his tone rough with worry.
Before I could answer his hands moved to my face, gently pushing back stray strands of hair. His touch was warm, a stark contrast to the icy air. A shiver ran through me, though I wasn’t sure if it was from the cold or something else.
I shook my head, trying to find my voice.
“I’m fine.” I whispered.
“Merlin’s beard,” he muttered, pulling me into a tight, impulsive hug.
The sudden contact startled me. James Potter, the boy who loved a good laugh at my expense, was hugging me like his life depended on it. His arms were strong and steady, and for a moment, the situation didn’t feel so terrifying.
I didn’t pull away. Instead, I let myself sink into the warmth of him. My hands found their way to his back, clutching the fabric of his shirt as I breathed in the scent of sandalwood and vanilla.
“You scared the hell out of me.”  He mumbled into my hair.
James was the first to pull away, his hands lingering on my arms looking me over again. Like he was checking for hidden injuries.
“You have a cut.”
The way he said it was so soft I almost missed it.
I’d forgotten about it until he mentioned it. Glancing at my arm, I saw the dried blood and torn sleeve. “It’s nothing,” I said quickly, not wanting to make a fuss. “I just need to clean it.”
James frowned, clearly not satisfied with my answer. He stepped closer, holding his wand up to examine it. The warmth of him was back, his presence grounding me.
“What are you even doing out here alone?” he demanded, exasperation creeping into his tone.
“I—I got lost,” My cheeks burned at my admission. “I was late for class, and I thought I found a shortcut.”
He stared at me like I’d grown a second head. “A shortcut? Through the Forbidden Forest?” His voice rose slightly, incredulous. “Do you have any idea how dangerous—” He cut himself off, running a hand through his already messy hair yanking on it a bit.
“I didn’t mean to cause a panic,” I said quickly. “Or waste your time.”
James froze, his jaw tightening. For a moment, he said nothing, his wand hand trembling slightly as he lowered it. “Waste my time?” he repeated, his voice low, almost bewildered.
I winced.
“Waste my time?” he said again, his words sharper this time. He stepped closer, his eyes locking onto mine with a fire I hadn’t seen before.
“Sorry.” I squeaked out.
The way he was acting caught me off guard. I looked over his shoulder and into the dark, the weight of his concern was overwhelming.
I figured the only person who would notice me missing was Lily.
“Don’t you get it?” His hands found my face again, his thumbs brushing over my cheeks. “I know you don’t believe it, but I care about you. You stubborn, brilliant, infuriating woman. That’s why I came running the second I heard you were missing.”
My breath hitched, the weight of his words crashing into me like a wave. His touch was gentle, grounding, but his gaze was unrelenting, raw, and unguarded.
After a long moment, he pulled back slightly and extended a hand. “Come on,” he said softly. “Let’s get out of here before you catch your death.”
I hesitated, my eyes lingering on his outstretched hand before placing mine in his. His grip was firm, steady, and when his fingers curled around mine, they held on like he was afraid I might disappear.
As we walked through the trees, his thumb brushed lightly against the back of my hand—a quiet reassurance that made my chest ache in a way I wasn’t ready to examine.
For the first time, James Potter didn’t feel like an annoyance. He felt like a lifeline.
Tumblr media
Gryffindor won the quidditch game. Our common room was alive with the hum of celebration. Streamers of crimson and gold were lazily thrown up around the space. Cheers erupted from everyone when the team entered the crowded dance area.
I stood off to the side, cradling an empty cup, at the edge of the room away from the crowd. Lily, was perched in the chair beside me. She laughed at a first-year attempting to smuggle an oversized barrel of butterbeer across the room. A sixth-year intercepted it with a laugh, stowing it out of reach.
It was enough to distract me from the figure weaving through the crowd.
James.
He towered over most of the cluster of people, his curly hair unmistakable, still damp from the post-match shower. His Quidditch jersey clung to his frame, the number on his back catching the light. He looked every bit the victorious captain, and the sight of him sent an uninvited warmth through my chest.
“What’s with the brooding? We just won! You should be grinning like that prat over there.” Lily asked shoving a full glass in my hand. She pointed to James who was laughing with his gaggle of friends.
“I’m not brooding,” I replied, taking a sip. “Just enjoying the chaos from a safe distance.”
“If that’s what you want to believe.” She winked, already dancing away toward the center of the room.
James appeared in front of me, his grin widening when our eyes met.
“There you are, Sunshine. Thought you’d gone into hiding.”
That warm, teasing lilt had become as familiar as the sound of my own heartbeat.
“Someone has to make sure you lot doesn’t burn our living space down.”
He chuckled.
“But, not hiding,” I replied, glancing over his shoulder. “Just... thinking.”
He leaned casually against the wall beside me his foot brushing mine, but there was something softer in his expression tonight. His warm brown eyes held a warmth that sent a flutter through my chest.
“Care to share what’s on your mind?” his tone curious.
I hesitated, swirling the liquid in my glass. “It’s just... a lot to take in. Everything’s been so—different.”
James tilted his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Different how?”
I turned to face him fully, “You. Us. Everything. Just three months ago, I couldn’t stand you.”
“And now?” he asked, his voice quieter, the teasing edge gone.
I bit my lip, suddenly feeling shy under his gaze. “Now... I’m not sure I ever did.”
His grin widened, but it wasn’t cocky or self-assured like the ones he used to flash at me in the past. This one was softer, filled with something that made my heart ache in the best way.
“I’d say that’s progress,” he murmured, stepping closer. His hand reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair behind my ear. His fingers lingered, against my skin.
I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding. “You’re not going to make a big speech about how you knew I’d come around eventually, are you?”
He chuckled, the sound low and comforting. “Not tonight.”
“Good.”
We stayed there for a moment, neither of us speaking. His eyes brighter then usual.
“Enjoying the celebration?” he asked trying to act casual about my confession.
“It’s... lively,” I said, unable to hide a small smile.
He raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. “We just crushed Slytherin, I think it’s more than lively.”
I shrugged, taking a sip of my butterbeer. “It was a decent match.”
I couldn’t help but tease him.
“Decent?” He leaned forward, his knees pressing more firmly against mine. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
“I can’t make things to easy for you Potter.”
His grin softened, and for a moment, the noise of the room seemed to fade. “You never do.”
James moved back a half step. “Take a walk with me?”
“Ok.”
He didn’t ask just grabbed my hand navigating us through the crowd. We didn’t stop walking till we were outside strolling through a field of grass.  The stars were bright and beautiful tonight.  It was almost romantic.
“You know,” he began, his tone light, “I was thinking.”
“Dangerous territory,” I teased, the corners of my mouth lifting.
He laughed, the sound warm and familiar. “Maybe. But I was wondering what it might take for you to stop calling me Potter.”
I raised an eyebrow. “What will it take for you to stop calling me Sunshine?”
He grinned, pulling me closer. “Never. That’s non-negotiable.”
“Then I guess you’re stuck with ‘Potter.’”
He hummed thoughtfully, lacing our fingers together. The simple gesture sent a comforting sensation coursing through me that no spell could replicate.
“What makes you think you’ve earned us being on a first name basis?”
“Scoring the winning goal isn’t enough?” he asked, mock-offended.
“Not even close.”
He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping just enough to make my stomach flutter. “Then what if I told you I’d do whatever it takes?”
“You are persistent.” I laughed.
“Only for you.”
James usual playful retorts absent in his tone.
I looked up at him, my breath catching at the way his eyes searched mine.
“Maybe just maybe I don’t mind that anymore.” I added, just loud enough for him to hear.
His grin returned, but this time it was softer, almost shy. “Does that mean I can finally take you on that first date?”
I hummed tapping my chin, pretending to think about it. “Maybe.”
I had the teasing tone now.
He laughed, his thumb brushing against my hand. The world seemed to still as he leaned in, stopping just short of my lips. The question in his eyes was unmistakable. I nodded, barely visible.
When his lips met mine, it was like every piece of the puzzle I hadn’t known was missing finally clicked into place. His hand came up to cradle my cheek, the kiss warm and steady, filled with a kind of tenderness I hadn’t realized he was capable of.
When we pulled back, his forehead rested against mine, and I felt his smile against my skin.
“Finally,” he whispered, his breath tickling my nose.
I giggled shaking my head. “Don’t ruin the moment, Potter.”
“James,” he corrected.
“James,” I echoed, and it felt right in a way I couldn’t explain.
“That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn’t hide my smile. “Don’t let it go to your head.”
“Never.” He placed a quick kiss on my lips.

Rest of My Life: Viktor x Reader
Summary: Reader and Viktor have their wedding and first time together. Takes place right after my last fic Life Changes.
Words: 3.8k
Warnings: SMUT. fem!reader
Author’s Notes: Second half of this fic is smut, it starts and ends at the *** in case anyone only wants to read the first half. Reader is a virgin in this and is implied to be demisexual/somewhere on the ace spectrum, but I don’t think you have to be that necessarily to enjoy the story. I just wanted to write it from that perspective since I’m demisexual myself. I went back and forth a lot deciding if Viktor should be a virgin too, but I was convinced by the “this isn’t my bedroom” line and his freaky moves with Jayce in S2 that he probably has at least some experience. So he’s gonna talk reader through it lmao. Happy reading :)
-
Your roommates are unsurprisingly still awake when you return home, reading your face instantly.
“What happened?” Eli asks. “Are Viktor and that other guy okay?”
Your shocked expression fades into a smile and you crash on the couch with them, giggling uncontrollably.
“Everyone’s fine. They figured it out, and now Viktor is going to be a partner in the company.”
“Wow.” Chanthou says, eyebrows raised.
“Mhmm. And then he asked me to marry him. Tomorrow.”
A beat of silence.
“What?!” Eli exclaims. “He didn’t tell us he was doing it today!”
Chanthou shrugs, “Well, he did ask for our blessing months ago. He didn’t really say when.”
“He asked you guys for your blessing? That’s so sweet.”
“Of course he did. I would’ve beat his ass if he didn’t.” Eli chuckles. “Sorry, did I even say congratulations?”
“No, but it was implied,” you laugh.
-
The next twenty-four hours are a whirlwind. As much as you’ve said you don’t mind keeping things simple, your friends insist on treating you at least a little bit, helping you with your hair, makeup, and nails. You pick out something nice to wear, having a blast while they get you ready. You’re going to miss living with them dearly.
If you’re honest, they’re the main reason you haven’t suggested moving in with Viktor sooner. As much as you love him, your friends have been so near and dear to your life for years now. Leaving them—even just to a different apartment a few blocks away—feels like a stab in the chest. Especially with everything moving so fast. You’re about to be the wife of Piltover’s finest scientist, after all.
Yet, there’s no doubt in your mind that this is the right thing—long overdue truthfully. He’s everything you’ve ever wanted. You know he’ll love you how you deserve, and any fear and uncertainty about the future seems quieter when you’re around him. You love everything about him inside and out, and you can’t believe he’ll be yours.
Your roommates have made you look beautiful, enhancing all your best features and using all your best colors. You grin at your reflection.
“I should probably go find my future husband, hmm?”
-
“I know it’s short notice, but—“
“Of course I will, Viktor!” Jayce hugs him. “I will be the best best man.”
Viktor isn’t used to receiving physical affection from anyone other than you, but he’s not necessarily opposed to it. Jayce is the reason for everything that’s about to happen, everything that Hextech is going to change. Viktor has bonded with him so quickly, it only seemed natural that he would be involved in this big day.
“So um, what is a best man supposed to do?” Jayce asks.
“I’m...not sure.”
“I could write a speech?”
“No,” Viktor shakes his head and smirks. “You’ll talk too long.”
“What else is there to do then? I’ve never been to a wedding before.”
“Hm. Me neither.”
Suddenly Viktor realizes that planning a wedding in the span of a day is not, in fact, easy. He has no idea where he even wants the ceremony, or how to make it official and legal. His whims got the best of him, it seems.
“I could forge some rings?” Jayce suggests.
“Ah, yes. Good idea.” Viktor nods.
Jayce scurries away, and Viktor’s face falls to his hands. Is this too crazy? He knows nothing about weddings, and very little about marriage itself, for that matter. He knows he wants it—that much is clear—but the only example he grew up with was his parents, and they’ve been gone for quite some time.
If only he could get their advice now. They would’ve loved you, he’s sure of it.
He decides the best use of his time at the moment is to get his apartment ready, assuming you’ll want to come home with him tonight. He wants to make everything special for you, wants to make everything perfect.
He stops by some shops on his way back, buying way more than he should safely carry. He then gets to neatening up his space as best he can, covering the bed with fresh blankets and scattering flowers on the floor. He sets up some candles in your favorite scents on the tables and windowsills, nearly lighting them out of habit. He then assesses his work, making adjustments to the set up and gathering anything else he can think of. He’s not the most natural romantic, but he certainly gives his all when it comes to you.
While he’s still at home, he changes into something nicer and smooths out his hair. He doesn’t own a mirror, but it looks fine enough from his vague reflection in the window on his way back out. His only mission now is to find out how to officially marry you.
-
You and your friends run into Jayce as you’re heading towards the Academy, chuckling a bit as he swiftly hides something behind his back.
“Jayce?” you step up to him, raising your brows. “Have you seen my fiance recently?”
“Everything’s under control!” he blurts out.
“You lost him, didn’t you?”
“No! We just...don’t really know how to do a wedding. Last I saw him he said something about asking Heimerdinger to officiate. We’re going to meet back in the lab, I think.”
“Heimerdinger, huh? And what’s that behind you?”
“Nothing.” he dodges your attempts to look around him. “It’s a surprise!”
“Alright, alright. Can we come with you back to the lab?”
He nods, moving his hands quickly in front of him as he turns around to lead you.
“This is the genius inventor Viktor’s partnering with?” Eli jests.
“Viktor says he’s pretty brilliant.” you laugh.
-
Viktor manages to successfully recruit Heimerdinger to officiate, after no less than a twenty-minute reprimand of disappointment that Viktor disobeyed him. As proud as he is of Viktor’s achievements, and how impressed he is that Hextech might actually work, he’s still a bit burned that Viktor went behind his back with it. After he gets his frustrations out of his system, though, he’s quite ecstatic that Viktor is marrying you.
It’s not long before you show up with Jayce and your friends, and Viktor practically vaults himself to you on his cane, eyes scanning you adoringly.
“You’re beautiful.” he smiles, kissing your cheek. “Are you ready?”
“Of course I am.” you find comfort in his gaze, heart thundering in your chest.
Heimerdinger climbs on top of a nearby table, glancing at a pad of notes.
“Now, I haven’t done one of these in nearly a hundred years, so forgive me.” Heimerdinger clears his throat. “Viktor, my boy, do you intend to take Y/N as your wife?”
Viktor takes your hands and squeezes them, “I do.”
“And do you promise to love, honor, respect, and be faithful to her until death?”
“I do.”
Heimerdinger asks the same to you, and you feel Jayce and your friends watching you excitedly as you answer. You can’t believe this is really happening. So much has occurred in so little time, and your lives are about to change even more with the new Hextech discoveries.
You get lost in Viktor’s eyes as Heimerdinger has you both repeat a few other things, then can’t help but laugh when he starts fumbling with some papers for both of you to sign. It’s quite funny, watching such a highly respected councilor struggle with something so seemingly simple as a wedding. You and Viktor sign the marriage license as he says, exchange the beautiful customized rings Jayce made, and Heimerdinger pronounces you officially married.
Viktor doesn’t waste a moment pulling you in by the waist and crashing his lips to yours, the intensity catching you off guard. He’s not one for PDA, but you suppose his own wedding is an exception. You drink him in happily, the mini audience cheering in the background.
The celebration continues for a while afterwards, your friends breaking out some champagne and Jayce insisting on dancing. You sit on Viktor’s lap, twirling his hair absentmindedly as you watch the party surrounding you. It’s simple, just like you wanted.
Viktor’s eyes are locked on your features, studying your face as if he hasn’t already memorized it a million times. He wants you in every way possible, forever and ever until his last breath. His mind, heart, and soul are mated with yours, intertwined so intricately now that you are an inseparable part of his being. Never had he imagined he would experience a love like this.
But there’s still one way he hasn’t yet expressed his love for you, out of respect for your fears and slower attractions. You’ve verbalized your sexual anxieties from having no prior experience, and your need to have a strong comfortability and bond with someone before even considering such acts. Viktor’s never had a problem with waiting, and has made it very clear to you that there is no pressure on his part. He’s been open with you about how he had a couple experiences as a teenager before he moved to Piltover, but would gladly never do it again if that’s what you wanted. He married you for you, not your body.
Still, he aches for your touch every second of every day. He savors every kiss pressed against his lips. He’s reveled in every way you’ve allowed him to caress you, and dreams about all the ways you haven’t yet. He wants to kiss every inch of skin he hasn’t seen. Everyday he wants to bury his face where your pants dig into your soft stomach, where your top is cut dangerously close to your breasts, where your thighs rub together. The dress you’re wearing today makes the arousal impossibly worse, the way it hugs and flows around the curves he so desperately wants etched into his brain forever. He has never desired anyone in the universe more than you, and he’d be willing to wait an eternity if it meant he would one day have you every way he’s been wanting.
You’ve told him you’ll likely be ready someday soon, so is it selfish of him to hope today might be the day?
“Vik?” you say, giggling as you wave a hand in front of his face. “Losing yourself in thought already?”
“I suppose so,” he smirks, giving you a quick kiss.
“Ready to go home?”
His eyebrow raises, looking back and forth between you and then your friends who have started some sort of weird drinking game with Jayce. The celebration isn’t quite winding down yet, but it’s common for the newlyweds to leave early, right?
Viktor gently slides you off his lap, grabbing his cane and standing up.
“I’d love to.”

-
He had forgotten about the decorations in his apartment bedroom when you both shuffle through the door, hearing you gasp and clap a hand to your mouth.
“Viktor...this is so beautiful.”
You pick up and drop a few of the flower petals, watching them flutter to the ground. Viktor grabs some matches and starts lighting the candles, and you flop down on the bed, rubbing your limbs against the soft blankets. You inhale the scents, a perfect level of ambiance filling the space.
“Vik?”
“Hmm?” he throws away the used matches, returning to your side.
“Do you want to try it?” you look up at him, nerves starting to take over you.
He kisses your forehead, wrapping a comforting arm around you.
“Only if you’re ready, darling. We don’t have to do anything tonight if you don’t want to.”
“No, no...I’m ready. I want to. I really want to. I’ve felt it for a while now. I just...I’m terrified.”
Your lip quivers slightly, and your eyes roll at yourself. Why are you about to cry on your wedding night? This is supposed to be the happiest day of your life.
Viktor pulls you into him close, rubbing your back, “Talk to me, my love.”
“It’s so stupid...You’ve been so patient with me, you’ve never pushed me to do anything, but I can’t help but feel like I’ve been disappointing you by making you wait so long. And you’ve actually done stuff before, so you know what you’re missing I guess. What if I’m not good at it? What if we try it and it’s awful or you hate my body—or you unintentionally compare me to other people? What if you regret marrying me? Or what if it really hurts-”
“Sweetheart.” Viktor stops you. “Look at me.”
You do as he asks, still trying to hold back tears after your anxious rambling.
“How long have all those horrible thoughts been in your head?”
“Um. A long time…” you look away again, but Viktor takes your chin and turns you back to his gaze.
“Not a single one of those things are true, do you understand?” he holds your face like precious glass. “You are everything to me. Whether we have sex or not.”
“Okay.” you nod, successfully swallowing back a cry. “I...I really do want to.”
“We’ll go slow, alright? And we can stop whenever you want.” he waits for you to nod again, then lies back on the bed, pulling you on top of him. “But right now I just want you to kiss me.”
You smile, happily obliging. You straddle him, leaning down to capture his lips. He squeezes your thighs on either side of him, moaning when you deepen your kisses and run your hands down his chest. It’s so easy for him to lose himself in you, your touches overtaking his senses. He loves when you make out like this, your form pressed on top of him. He had to beg you to not hold back the first time it happened, insisting he likes your weight on him.
Viktor moves his fingers to twiddle with the hem of your dress, wanting so badly to pull it off of you. He’s never seen you fully naked, and he must admit it’s getting harder and harder to be patient when the outline of your figure looks so...majestic.
He guides your grip to his own shirt, helping you pull it off and sliding his fingers into your hair as you kiss down his neck and collarbone. To his surprise, you’ve always shown so much affection to his scrawny frame, never complaining about his sharp limbs when you cuddle or caress each other like this. He’s never understood any of your insecurities about your body, much preferring your soft and fluffy flesh over his own.
Once you’re satisfied with the amount of kisses you’ve pressed all over his torso, you cover his hands at the bottom of your dress with your own.
“You can take it off.” you tell him, taking a deep breath.
He does so, revealing nothing but your bra, his eyes bulging out of their sockets. Never has he ever wanted to see a pair of tits so badly.
It’s not difficult for you to read his mind, and before you can overthink it—you unhook it and throw it to the floor with the rest of your discarded garments.
Viktor doesn’t blush often, but you’ve never seen his cheeks get so red.
“Wow.” is all he can muster.
“You can touch them, if you want.” you chuckle at his reaction.
Permission is all he needed, his hands squeezing both of them, his thumbs brushing your nipples. A loud sigh escapes your lips, and Viktor decides right then and there that he will do anything to hear a glorious sound like that again.
Your body is a wonderfully pleasant array of textures for his hands to explore, from the raised skin of every stretch mark and scar to the dips and creases of your hips and waist. His touches roam across every inch of your exposed skin, cherishing the beauty he swears to never take for granted.
Your bare breasts press against his chest and he whines into your mouth, a pleasant tingling rushing through you at the noise. His lips then travel down your neck and shoulders, whispering “I love yous” between kisses, most coming out as mumbles against your flesh. Your replies follow suit, breathy and stringed with moans.
Somewhere in the process Viktor loses he pants, leaving both of you in nothing but your underwear. You feel his arousal hardening, and your fingers eagerly pull at his waistband.
He stops you, grabbing your wrist.
“Not yet, my love. I want to prepare you properly first.” he kisses your palm. “Let me get on top, okay?”
You nod, adjusting your positions. He places some pillows for your hips and his knees, then runs a couple fingers in one teasing stroke across your clothed entrance.
“Please,” you groan, already missing his touch when his fingers pull away. “Take them off already.”
He chuckles, leaning down to kiss you, “I’m glad you’re excited, darling.”
He obliges your request and takes off your underwear, his fingers quickly returning to your now exposed entrance. He finds your clit, stimulating it with one finger and inserting another slowly.
“Let me know what feels good and what doesn’t, okay?” he says, studying your expressions closely. Even before you say anything, he changes his movements based on your reactions to him.
“It...feels a little weird. But I like it.” you assure him. “Especially when you—“
The stimulation starts to build, and your gasps cut off your own thoughts.
“When you do that.” you finish your sentence, catching your breath as he slows down his fingers.
“I don’t know if I’ll be able to help you orgasm your first time, love. But I’ll certainly try.” Viktor continues pulsing a finger in and out of you, rubbing feather-light circles on your clit.
“It’s okay if you don’t.” you hum. “I know it takes some concentration and practice.”
“It’s a learning process—are you ready for a second?”
You nod, and he slowly enters another finger. You’re still super tense from your nerves, but it’s getting easier to relax and let the arousal take over.
“Fuck.” you exhale. “Your fingers feel good.”
A smirks stretches across his lips, and his long digits push farther into you.
“But I want more.” you continue. “I’m ready.”
“Are you sure?” he slips his fingers out, ghostly touches moving up your body. “Oh sweetheart, you’re so perfect.”
You giggle at his distraction, “Yes, Vik, I’m sure. Please.”
He could never say no to such eager eyes and pouting lips, so he slips off his boxers and readjusts himself above you.
“Holy shit, Vik.”
“Second thoughts?”
“No, just...is that really going to fit inside me?” your eyebrows raise and he laughs.
“You can take me, darling. We’ll go very slow, alright?”
You nod, and he lines himself up. He presses the tip in slowly, holding your hands as he goes further. You squeeze them tight, taking deep breaths until he stops halfway in.
“You’re doing so well, my love. How do you feel?”
“Mmm…” you sigh, trying to wrap your senses around the stretching and pressure you’re experiencing. It’s such an odd feeling, but it’s incredibly pleasurable.
“Are you ready for more?”
You nod, and he slowly pushes all the way in. He leans down to kiss you, giving you time to adjust to him. You dig your fingers into his back, closing the distance between your bodies, his cool skin sending shivers down your spine.
“I must admit,” he utters against your lips. “I will likely not last very long.”
Your foreheads press together and you giggle.
“I don’t care, Vik.”
He begins to thrust in and out gently, placing kisses and nibbles along your jaw. The sounds you make drive him crazy, making it extremely difficult for him to have any hope of holding back. The sensations are overwhelming for both of you, a symphony of moans and whines eliciting from your mouths.
You take his face in your hands, staring deep into his gorgeous golden eyes. You capture his lips once again, more passion brewing between you.
“I love you so much.” you say, breathless and full.
“I love you m—fuck, I’m—“ his orgasm washes over him, his movements losing their former smoothness. His cum floods your walls, his dick starting to soften as he pulls out. His nimble fingers return to your cunt, swirling in the juices and stimulating your clit once again.
“Vik, honey, it’s okay if I don’t finish…” your assurances fall on stubborn ears though, his touches quickly building back the pressure.
“Let me try.” he says, determined.
“Vik.” you sit up, legs still wide open around him. “We can try again tomorrow. I promise you’ve satisfied me for the night.”
You intertwine your fingers with his, admiring his flushed face and tousled hair.
“Did I make your first time special enough?” he asks, fiddling with your hands.
“Viktor, it was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
He smiles, wrapping his arms around you and burying his face in the crook of your neck.
“Shall we clean up, then?” he mumbles, pulling back to look at you.
“Perhaps.” you run a hand through his hair. “I did bring the soaps you always compliment the scent of…”
*** -
You use the bathroom and start a bath, filling it with the products you packed and Epsom salt. Viktor’s tub isn’t very big, but you both fit in it when he sits between your thighs. You wipe each other off and wash each other’s hair, occasionally placing kisses on wet skin.
“Can we move in the rest of your things tomorrow?” he asks.
“Probably.” you reply, rinsing the shampoo from his wavy locks. “You sure you’re ready to share your space?”
“Eh...it’s always been far too empty. I need some...flair.” he laughs.
“I can give you that.” you smile, already imagining all the ways you could decorate and bring life to the place.
After drying off and getting ready for bed, Viktor clears off the top blanket then slips under the covers with you, your limbs immediately encircling one another. He massages your back and shoulders, cuddling you close. His arms feel like home, a warmth in your heart spreading throughout your body.
“I love you so much, Viktor.” you say, looking into his eyes. “And not because of what you do for me or how you make me feel…I love you just because you’re you.”
Your fingers trace his jawline, then slither into his hair.
“I’m so lucky.”
His gaze becomes even softer, at a loss for words from the purity of your love. Nothing in any language could properly describe his own sentiments.
“I can’t wait to love you for the rest of my life.” he peppers kisses across your face, living for the way your nose scrunches. “Every.” —another kiss— “Day.”
You giggle, snuggling impossibly closer. He loves feeling your every breath, every twitch, every tiny movement.
He sighs, closing his eyes and silently thanking Janna for whatever winds brought him to you.

yoga!reader guiding clark through some moves and his pants get too tight bcos of the way you look in your workout clothes with your ass practically in his face
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“so you really think this is gonna help me? you know, with all the… stress?”
it was honestly adorable the way you nodded with a smile, so sure that something as simple as yoga could ease clark of the constant earth-shattering nature of his life — but in your defence, you were none the wiser to the fact he was super human. he’d brushed it off as ‘parent-troubles’ and you’d been too polite to prod further.
“mhm! yoga has helped me through some really hard times, clark. trust me, a little bit every day goes a long way.” you grin, all bubbly and sweet as you lead him to the mat in the empty home gym of your garage. your parents were never home, and he was starting to think you were just happy to have someone over.
he looks around, strolling casually behind you as you set up his little station— hands casually in his sweatpant pockets as he tries to avoid staring right at your ass when you bend over to smooth out his yoga mat. baby pink, so he knew it belonged to you.
“plus, yoga is good for lots of things.” you continue on, intent on filling the silence. “practicing every day has made my body super flexible.” you brag cutely, dusting off your yoga pants as you stand once more.
“oh yeah?” his head whips over to you, which was meant to be innocent but he later realised how eager he might’ve sounded to hear about what positions you can get into.
“yeah! but those kind of things are more advanced. comes with practice. i’d probably start you with some breathing exercises, sitting cross legged. something as simple as that can be yoga too, you know?” you chat, glancing over your shoulder as the two of you take a seat, you slightly infront of him so he could watch and copy you. “or perhaps downward dog? that’s a classic.”
“downward dog?” clark chuckles in amusement at the silly name and you share his confused giggle.
“i know, sounds weird. but it’s easy!” you chirp, spinning on your knees and assuming the position - which happened to quite literally be presenting yourself to clark. you hold the pose, impressively at that — and he finds himself entranced for a moment, eyebrows slowly raising as he boyishly stares at your painted on leggings, snapping himself out of it just as he began to swear he could see the outline of your puffy pussy through the fabric. he clears his throat, physically shaking away the thoughts. he was raised better than that — besides, the loose sweatpants he wore would be anything but forgiving if he let himself get carried away.
“eheuhm— yeah! that’s uh, that’s pretty impressive.” he smiles in his usual friendly way and you spin back to him like a puppy who’d just performed a trick for its owner, looking totally happy with yourself beneath his praise.
“yeah? it was one of the first things i perfected.” you shrug, trying to feign humble now. when you turn to grab your water bottle, clark subtly pulls at his sweatpants to adjust himself as well as he could in such short time. you’re none the wiser. “is there anything specific you wanna learn? i’m not sure how familiar you are with yoga…”
“oh! well, uh— hey. you’re the teacher here. i’ll be grateful for any kind of tips.” he presses his lips together humbly, eyes earnest as he places a hand over his white-tshirt clad chest. that strong chest you kept glancing at.
“hm.” you push your mouth into the corner and tap your chin like a cartoon character. his lips twitch up some more because he finds it adorable. “well i’ve always wanted to try two person yoga… never had a partner to do it with though.” you look down, shy at the suggestion and he sits up a little bit — jumping to reassure you. he couldn’t stand seeing a pretty girl doubt herself. maybe he was also slightly jumping at the notion of touching you. not in a creepy way of course — well, he’s not sure now.
“that sounds like a great idea.” he speaks intentionally, as if trying to convey the reassurance he felt you needed, eyes locked on you until you reciprocate the eye contact. there’s that smile again.

alexia putellas x reader
i know nothing about medical stuff except for the ones i’ve watched on grey’s anatomy
happy valentine’s day i guess
request here
———
The echoes of the heated argument lingered in the air as you paced around your living room. The tension between you and Alexia had reached a breaking point and you have no idea what to do next.
Alexia had left you alone in this big house — which isn’t really anything new — to god knows where. The trophies and medals that lined the shelves, displaying the accomplishments of your longtime partner, stares back at you like souvenirs.
Photographs covering the walls, showing the memories of the love she once held for you. Your fingers tracing the edges of the frame, heart heavy with doubt and sadness.
‘Where did I go wrong?’ You asked yourself.
That was almost three months ago. She had apologized and promised to make changes. The first week was a bliss. She’d wake you up with breakfast in bed, leaving breakfast in the kitchen when she had early training. Random dates throughout the week. You were living the dream.
Then, she won the world cup.
Interview after interview. Appearance after appearance. She was away more times than home. You don’t quite remember the last time you’d both slept in the same bed and woken up together.
It was Friday and you were in the kitchen waiting for Alexia to come home from training. You’ve cooked her favorite meal that Eli had taught you to make. You told her you had something to talk to her about so you hoped this meal could lighten the mood a bit.
Thirty minutes had passed so you thought she was just running a bit late.
Then an hour passed.
Another hour after that.
You’ve put away all of the food and prepared a plate for when she gets home to just reheat. Changing into your pajamas, you lounge around in the living room and check your phone. Right when you open up your social media, you were met with videos of your girlfriend and her team at a club.
You try to remember if Alexia had told you if she was going anywhere after practice, but she didn’t.
‘She probably just forgot.’
Hours later, Alexia came home to find you asleep on the couch. She stumbles into the bedroom and knocks out.
You’re at home in bed, staring into nothingness. You couldn’t do anything. At least not the things you used to be able to do. Even breathing became difficult.
Alexia was out so much she never noticed how much you’ve changed, how different you looked. She barely spared you a glance. When you do catch Alexia at home, she’s already asleep. You barely notice though because she’s been sleeping in the spare bedroom.
You slowly walk to the kitchen, steadying yourself against the walls. Grabbing a glass, you start to fill it with water when all of a sudden your vision starts going in and out.
Collapsing to the floor, darkness consumes you.
“Can I talk to you for a moment?” You ask as Alexia walked through the front door.
“I’m not even fully through the door and you’re already asking me to do things?”
“It won’t take long. It’s just something I have to tell—”
“Ay dios mío! I’m hungover and I just want to sleep. Talk to me tomorrow.”
Alexia walks away to the spare bedroom, knocking out instantly.
Alexia is at Mapi and Ingrid’s place with the rest of the team for team bonding. Alexia had an arm around one of Mapi’s friends that she invited over, the girl practically in her lap.
“Hey, Ale! Where’s the missus? Didn’t want to come today?” Mapi questions taking a seat next to Ingrid.
“Ooh, yeah! I miss Y/N, how is she doing?” Pina asks, the girl saw you as a big sister.
Alexia tenses, not knowing why. The girl on her shoves her arm off of her, moving to a different seat making Alexia frown in disappointment.
“Uh, she’s just at home probably. I don’t know?” She shrugs.
“What do you mean you don’t know?” Mapi asks, eyebrows furrowed. “You were with her yesterday.”
“I was?” Alexia was confused because she definitely wasn’t. She was at some girl’s pla— her eyes widen. “I was! Yeah. She didn’t feel that well so she wanted to stay home. Yeah.”
Mapi and Ingrid share a look but drops the subject.
The team bonding became crazier that it was supposed to be. People were tipsy and Mapi was surprised they haven’t been yelled at by the neighbors yet.
“Alright.” Mapi stands up, catching everyone’s attention. “Me and Ingrid are going to run to the store, grab a couple things cause we’re running low.”
Everyone bid them goodbye, Ingrid following behind her girlfriend.
“We’re not running low on anything.” Ingrid states as Mapi starts driving.
“No, I just needed an excuse.”
“Excuse for what.”
“To check on Y/N.”
“She’s not home though. Told us herself.”
“Yeah, but it doesn’t hurt to check. And we both know damn well Ale wasn’t with her yesterday.”
Arriving to yours and Alexia’s house, they knock on the door. Not getting a response, they try again, no response.
“Hey, Y/N? Are you home? It’s Mapi and Ingrid.”
After a couple of minutes with no response, Mapi uses the spare key she was given a long time ago. Stepping inside, it was quiet. The place was clean, almost too clean. It didn’t look like someone had lived in the place at all with how clean it looked.
Walking further in, Ingrid looks into the kitchen, finding a glass shattered on the floor. Walking around the kitchen island was a sight she didn’t want to see.
“Oh my god, María!” She immediately lays you on your back, placing two fingers on your neck. “There’s no pulse! Call the ambulance!” She starts slapping your face lightly, hoping to wake you up. “C’mon, Y/N. Open those eyes for me.”
“Here. Move.” Mapi pushes Ingrid away, handing her the phone. “You call for them. Wake up, Y/N. Don’t go yet.” She starts CPR, tears start flowing from her eyes, some dripping onto your face. “C’mon! Just wake up, damn it!”
Mapi doesn’t know how long she’s been doing CPR, but paramedics rush into the house, taking over. Ingrid pulls her into her arms where they break down, missing the looks that the paramedics gave each other.
They drive close behind as the ambulance speeds through the streets of Barcelona. Arriving at the hospital, Ingrid doesn’t bother to turn the car off, rushing to where you were being unloaded.
“What do we got?” Doctors rush out to the ambulance.
The paramedics just give a look to the doctors who immediately understand.
“Time of death…”
“Wait! What do you mean time of death? She-she’s fine right?”
“What’s your relationship to…”
“Y/N.”
“Y/N. What’s your relationship to Y/N?”
“She’s my friend and I need to know what’s happened.”
“I’m sorry. I can’t give out any information, but I saw she has a wedding ring on. Can you contact her husband?”
“Wife. She has a wife.”
“Okay, can you contact her wife for us?”
Ingrid is the one to make the call. Mapi watches as they roll you inside the hospital.
“She’s on her way.”
Ten minutes later, Alexia arrives to the hospital, walking to where Ingrid and Mapi were now sitting at the waiting room.
“What happened?”
“I don’t know. They won’t tell us but they’ll tell you cause you’re her wife.”
“Y/N Putellas. I-I’m her wife and I need to see her.” Alexia asks, no demands when she goes up to the nurse’s counter.
“Mrs. Putellas. I can take you to her body.”
“Body? What-what do you mean body.”
“Just follow me.”
Walking into the room, a bed is seen in the middle of the room, a white sheet covering it.
“What’s this?”
Alexia walks up to the bed, hand hovering over the white sheet.
“Take your time.”
The nurse carefully pulls the top part of the white sheet to reveal someone — you.
“Oh my god.” Alexia gasps, not expecting to see you in this state. Mapi turns around in Ingrid’s hold, hiding her face in her chest, Ingrid also looking away. “What happened?”
“I can help with that.”
Turning towards the door, a doctor stood just outside.
“May I come in?” Not waiting for a response, he walks right in. He walks towards where your lay, staring at your features. “Mrs. Putellas lived longer than I expected.”
“Okay, can we stop being so criptic and just tell me what’s going on?” Alexia was losing patience. She has no clue what’s happening. She was having a great time and now she sees her wife lying dead right in front of her.
“Y/N Putellas, age twenty-eight, was diagnosed with stage four cancer three months ago. There was nothing that could be done as it was caught very late. All we could have done was make sure she was comfortable.”
“But she refused to be admitted into the hospital to make sure that she was still at home for her wife, no matter how much I protested.” A new voice was heard by the door. Your sister. “Her wife that leaves when she’s still sleeping. Her wife who would rather be out partying than notice how sick she was, fighting for her life. Her wife that doesn’t fucking love her!”
Your sister was now face to face with Alexia, finger stabbing her chest.
“No, no, no.” Alexia mumbles. “That- that’s not true. I love her. I do! Why didn’t she tell me?”
“She tried to.” Your sister stated, voice now void of emotion. “She tried and you brushed her off.”
“Why didn’t she tell me?” Mapi spoke up for the first time in a while.
“Because it didn’t feel important anymore after the many times that Alexia brushed it off.”
“She visited us just three days ago. She was fine.”
“She wasn’t. I think she knew she didn’t have much time left, so she had me drive her around so she can say her goodbyes.”
“Alright. Last house.” Your sister stated as she parked the car by the curb.
“Yeah.” You exit the car, slowly making your way to the front door. After knocking on the door, you take a step back. The door opens revealing Mapi.
“Hey, Y/N! What brings you by?”
“Uh, nothing. Is Ingrid here by any chance?”
“Yeah, let me call her. Ingrid!”
Ingrid stands next to Mapi.
“No need to shout. Hey, Y/N. What’s up?”
“Uh, well.” You clear your throat in anxiousness. “I’m gonna go somewhere in a couple of days and just wanted to see you both before I go.”
“Oh? Where are you going?”
“Just- just to take some time for myself.”
“Well, I hope you have fun wherever it is you’re going.”
You give them a smile. “Thank you.” As they were closing the door, you push it back open, wrapping your arms around Mapi tightly. Your breathing is ragged and you can feel the tears forming in your eyes. “You’re my best friend and you know that I love you right?”
Taken aback, she wraps her arms around you in return. “Yeah, you’re my best friend and I love you too.”
“You too Ingrid.” You now wrap your arms around her. “I’ll miss you both.” You step away, walking back down the driveway, giving them one last smile.
The couple don’t think much about the weird interaction, closing the door as they watched your car drive away.
Mapi and Ingrid broke down even more, now knowing that your goodbye was the goodbye.
“Tried to say goodbye to you too, but you were nowhere to be found.” You sister shrugged, getting tired of speaking to Alexia now.
“Why don’t you look depressed?”
“I’ve got to spend my time with her. I’ve had time to prepare for the inevitable.” Giving them all a face, she moves to stand where you laid. “I’m gonna talk to whoever about the arrangements and stuff, I’ll leave you guys alone.”
Seeing how Alexia was unable to take her eyes off of you, Mapi and Ingrid decide to give her some time, leaving the room and closing the door behind them. Now all along, Alexia hesitantly steps up next to your bed, hand hovering over yours.
In the dimly lit room, her voice shaky as she uttered, “I don’t even know where to begin. I don’t know if you can hear me, see me, but I never thought I’d see you like this. I never thought I’d hurt you like this.”
She grasps at your hand, squeezing it to stop the tears from streaming down her face.
“I’m too late. Too late. I never realized how good I had it and I see it now. You are— were the best part of me and I was too blind to see it. I took you for granted and I can’t apologize for it.”
The room remained silent, save for the soft hum of chatter outside. Alexia’s heart pounded, waiting for a response that she would never get. Bending down, she gives your forehead a kiss, letting her lips linger for just a moment.
“I’m sorry and I love you.” She whispered before exiting the room.
Arriving at home, Alexia’s emotions finally hit all at once. She couldn’t step any further away from the front door. She couldn’t hold back the tears any longer. The weight of her emotions become too much and the dam finally broke inside of her. Silent sobs racked her body as the vulnerability she had hidden so well crumbled away.
As the tears cascaded down her cheeks, memories of lost moments and shattered dreams replayed in her mind like a haunting film. Each drop carried the weight of unspoken words and broken promises, a wretched reminder of a love that once felt invincible.
The scars on her heart remained, the permanence of lost loves carved onto it, wondering how to face another day haunted by the ghosts of what could have been.

Dance Practice - Diluc x gn! Reader
Summary -> 800 ish words (probably). Diluc attempts to teach you how to waltz.
Warnings -> None
A/N -> You know the drill: Not proof read and self indulgent. Also feel free to send in requests. I'm trying to think of ideas that aren't just for Wriothesley and Boothill. Can't show my favoritism too hard
Tumblr media
Your fork fell against the nice plate, the loud sound echoing through the halls of Dawn Winery. “What?” Diluc looks up from his own dinner, a confused look in those big, red eyes. “It’s rather customary. It’s just a small celebration for the top investors. My father set the standard that they be ballroom style with some hors d’oeuvres, some nice wine, nothing too extravagant.”
“And I will be expected to go?” “Why yes, you’re my partner. There have been plenty of rumors about you and the investors would love to meet you. Quite frankly, I’d love the opportunity to show you off. It makes the idea of hosting one of these parties worth it..” He said with nothing but pure adoration in his voice. But it did nothing to soothe the way your heart dropped in your chest, nerves turning your blood ice cold.
“Big party huh? Tuxes, dresses, all those prying eyes?” “Hardly prying. They’re so self absorbed they’ll barely remember what else they talk about during the party.” He shrugs and takes another bite of his food.
“‘Luc… Darling.” You try to hide the way your voice quivers. “You really want me there?” “Of course I do, why would I not?” He places his hand on top of yours, rubbing a thumb gently across the back of your hand.
“I want you to think really hard about the differences of our upbringings.” You always try to gently remind him that your childhood was nothing like his, and he always seemed so slow to remember.
“I don’t… oh.” A flash of guilt crosses his face. “I suppose I should have told you about it more than a weekend in advance.”
“Yeah. Probably.” You could do nothing else but offer a soft chuckle. “I don’t know the first thing about any fancy parties. I don’t want to embarrass you.” “Nonsense. I’ll have Adeline take your measurements tomorrow and you and her can pick out your outfit of choice tomorrow. I’ve got a good tailor who’ll rush the alters.” He responds casually and continues to eat his dinner, yours now going cold. It was hard to have an appetite with the sudden rush of nervousness.
“That’s not all I’m worried about. It’s the whole… behaving properly, the dancing, the not knowing which fork goes where-” “It’s not a dinner party, love, there won’t be any forks.” “That’s not my point and you know it.” You sigh, defeated.
Diluc places his fork down and moves to sit next to you, rubbing his hand across your back. “You’re right. I need to be taking this more seriously. I can’t say I understand how nervous you are right now, but the least I can do is help you through it. May I ask what’s stressing you out the most?” His voice held emotion he dare not show in front of other people.
“I think… The dancing. They’re going to expect me to dance with you at least once, I assume?” “Yeah. They will. But it’ll be okay.” Diluc hums softly. “Just follow my lead, relax, and only pay attention to me, and you’ll do great..” He places his lips against your temple.
“I’ve never ballroom danced before. They always make it look so… complicated.” You pok at your food some more.
“Not at all. Come here.” He took your hand and pulls you out of your seat. He moves to put on some classical music.
“Diluc we don’t have to do this right now-” You try to protest but he steppes in front of you, tying up his hair… Your greatest weakness.
“Relax.” He said softly. “Just a simple waltz.” He takes your right hand in his. “Just place your other hand right beneath my shoulder blade.” You stood chest to chest with him, his hand resting on your back.
“Seems rather close.” You chuckle and ignore the way he always made your heart race.
“It’s supposed to be close. Just relax and follow my lead.” He steps slowly, letting you mirror his every move.
You were starting to get the hang of it, eventually allowing the two of you to step in time to the music drifting softly in the background. “This is it?”
“It would be it if you stopped looking at your feet, darling.” You look up into his eyes only to realize how gently he was looking down at you. His movements are fluid and practiced, allowing him to focus all of his attention on you. Even with your clumsy movement, he looks at you like you are the most graceful thing in all of Teyvat. “You know… I’ve always wanted to dance with you like this.”
“Diluc…” Your voice was soft, mirroring his loving tone. You move to rest your head on his chest, your hand sliding down from his shoulder blade down to his lower back, pulling him even closer as you continue to follow his steps.
“I love you.” He whispers against the top of your head. “I love you too…” You nuzzle further into him. “I’m not too good at this, am I?” “Absolutely abysmal. We’ll work on it.”

boynextdoor as boyfriends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: boynextdoor (ot6) x gn!reader genre: fluff, headcanon
requested by @yawnzzznnn! hope you like it :)
Tumblr media
JAEHYUN
he’s such a little puppy
he’ll be running to you whining at every minor inconvenience (especially after the boys tease him)
wants you to protect him and wants to protect you too
the type of bf who walks on the side of the street nearest to the road bc he’s cheesy like that
you don’t have to lift a single finger with him around! he’ll do everything for you
lowkey gets jealous bc he wants you to focus on him and him only
overall a lovesick puppy who yearns for your attention 24/7
“y/n…” Jaehyun is tugging on your sleeve and whining as you talk to Taesan about Oasis.
You turn to Jaehyun, ruffling his hair affectionately. “What is it, Jae?”
“You’ve been talking to Taesan for one whole hour! You came over to spend time with me,” Jaehyun whines, pouting and glaring at Taesan. Reading the room, Taesan makes up some flimsy excuse and leaves, leaving the two of you alone in the living room.
“I’m sorry, big baby, I must have gotten too carried away! It’s not everyday you find another Oasis fan around our age, you know,” you giggle, pulling Jaehyun into a hug. “I’m all yours today, okay?”
SUNGHO
the partner privilege you get from him is insane
you could literally ask him for anything and he’d just smile softly at you and agree
values your opinion a lot
he got a new haircut? he needs to know what you think. can’t decide what to have for lunch? he’s asking you for ideas immediately.
overall a hopelessly in love bf who would do anything for you
bonus: he definitely has a sketchbook filled with drawings of you and you only
“Sungho, can I braid your hair?” you ask hesitantly, looking at him from where you’re sitting on the couch.
Sungho smiles softly. “Of course you can, love. Come here,”
That day, the boys come back to the dorms only to get the shock of their lives. In front of them is a dolled-up Sungho with barettes on both sides of his braided hair, and the boys look on in disbelief.
“No way, Sungho. I’ve been bugging you to let me do this for weeks, and you let y/n do it after they ask once? This is so unfair!” Riwoo whines.
Sungho simply shrugs. “Well, you’re not y/n.”
RIWOO
he’s sooo shy
wouldn’t initiate skinship first when y’all first start out, and when you do he literally malfunctions
he’s not really good with his words so he’d express his love for you through other stuff like acts of service or gifts
once he gets comfortable in the relationship, though, good luck getting rid of him
he’s never letting you out of sight (or out of arm’s reach) whenever possible
overall he’d be a really sweet shy bf™ who’s really attentive to your interests and pays attention to whatever you say even if it looks like he isn’t (somebody pls get me a riwoo)
“This place is amazing, Riwoo. We finally did it!” you exclaim, walking around your new house and reeling over the fact that you finally moved in with Riwoo.
“I know, right?” Riwoo smiles, following behind you.
Your hands brush over the walls of the bedroom. “I think we should add some personality to the rooms. What do you think about painting the walls?”
“Sure. We could paint it light green,” Riwoo agrees, looking around. Your eyes widen in shock.
“How did you know I’d want light green?” you ask, genuinely surprised.
Riwoo chuckles affectionately. “You showed me your dream bedroom once while we were playing We’re Not Really Strangers. I think it was a year and a half ago?”
TAESAN
i feel like quiet moments together would be your thing
dates would either be chilling at the park while you read and he plays the guitar or chilling at the dorms
he may not talk much, but quality time is his thing and he’d always make sure his attention is 100% focused on you whenever y’all are together
probably has multiple playlists dedicated to you
overall a quiet but super romantic bf
“What song do you want to listen to?” you ask as Taesan starts pulling out of his parking spot.
Taesan shrugs. “Just look through my playlists and see if there’s any that you like.”
Oh, shit. Taesan realises the implications of his words, and looks over for a second to see you scrolling through his Spotify.
Sure enough, you let out a sound of surprise. One that Taesan would have gone crazy for, but he’s panicking hard.
“Uh, it’s not what it looks like?” he says softly.
“Tae, all the songs in this playlist are all my favourites! That’s so cool, do we have the same music taste?” you exclaim, bewildered.
Taesan chuckles awkwardly, “Yeah, we’re really meant to be, huh?”
Maybe next time he’ll tell you about his uncountable playlists dedicated to you.
LEEHAN
affectionate bf™
he’s absolutely in awe at literally anything you do
you just made dinner? he’s so proud of you. you just lost a game of league of legends? it’s okay, he thought you did absolutely amazing.
would fall in love with you ten times more if you entertained his fish hobby
y’all are the cutest fish parents!
overall the cutest bf who literally loves you and everything you do
“Darling, can we get this angelfish?”
“Hannie, we already have five of those back at home,” you boop Leehan’s nose affectionately, “what if they get jealous of the new addition?”
“Come on, babe, they’d love a new friend! We can call him Angel,” Leehan shakes your shoulder, pouting.
“Angel the Sixth?”
Leehan smiles. “Angel the Sixth.”
WOONHAK
lights up whenever he sees you
i feel like he’d love to rest his head on your lap, too, and put your hand on top of his hair as a silent request for you to play with it (you do. everytime.)
whines when you remove your hand to do something else
he definitely talks about you to no end to the boys (much to their dismay), he just loves you so much
cannot last a minute without interacting with you in some way (physical contact if you’re in close proximity, through text if you’re not)
overall a golden retriever bf who loves you so much (good luck getting rid of him)
“Did you wish y/n a happy birthday?” Sungho asks as soon as Woonhak walks into the practice room.
“Yeah, of course I did! I wished them the moment the clock struck twelve. Wait, how do you know it’s their birthday today?” Woonhak furrows his eyebrows in confusion. You and Sungho don’t know each other, so how…?
“Of course I know their birthday,” Sungho chuckles, “You wouldn’t shut up about it no matter how many times we complained this past week.”

Pretty Boy - Ch 15 (Buddie x Reader)

(gif made by me) Word Count: 3.1k Warnings: angst, discussion of feelings (idk it feels worth a warning)
You slowly blink awake, wincing at the harsh sunlight flooding Eddie’s bedroom window. You roll over and sit up, stretching your hands over your head. You let out a groan as your spine cracks in protest.
You yawn, rubbing your hand down your face as you walk out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. Your throat dries when you see Buck and Eddie sitting at the kitchen table.
“Hey,” you greet awkwardly, then make a beeline towards the coffee maker.
“You aren’t supposed to drink coffee if you’re…”
“If I’m what, Buck?” You chuckle lightly as you grab a mug. “You can say the word ‘pregnant.’ It’s not a curse or something.”
Buck lets out a breath that resembles a laugh. “Right. Sorry.”
You shrug it off. “Besides, pregnant people can have 200mg of caffeine a day, which is about a cup and half of coffee.”
Buck looks at Eddie.
Eddie raises his eyebrows. “Are you gonna take it away from her? Because I’m not.”
You lean against the counter with a satisfied grin.
Buck takes a sip of his own coffee. “So, we’re really doing this?”
Your grin fades and your mouth fills with sand. “Uh, yeah, I guess. I mean, this isn’t how I imagined it happening, but… I always knew I wanted at least one kid.”
You’re not naive; this is far from the ideal circumstance. Your jobs are demanding and unpredictable, and adding school on top of it, your life is already chaotic. Adding pregnancy and an eventual baby to the mix? You have no fucking idea how you’ll make it work.
But… you should make it work. Because even if it’s the wrong timing, you have a lot of factors working in your favor. You have a successful career that earns you a decent income. You have not one, but two committed partners. You’re nearing your 30s. It’ll probably never be a ‘good’ time to have a kid, so this might be as good as it’ll get.
At the end of the day, though, you’re only in it if they are, too.
“What do you boys think?”
“I think…” Buck starts, then leans back in his chair. “I think it’s your decision.”
Oh. Wow. He’s… considering other options. Or at least, he’s putting those options on the table. And you know why: it’s because he’s a good man. He doesn’t want you to feel trapped. He’s giving you an out.
But you don’t want an out. And him giving you an out means you can’t help but wonder if he also wants an out. And thinking about that makes your heart fall into your stomach.
“Okay,” you eventually say. You somehow manage to keep your voice level. “Eddie, what about you?”
Eddie breathes in through his nose. You watch his chest rise and fall. “Honestly?”
You nod. You want — need — nothing but complete and utter honesty.
“I’ve always wanted Christopher to have a sibling.”
You smile. You can see Buck nudge Eddie’s foot under the table.
“But, of course, it’s your body, so it’s your choice,” Eddie quickly adds.
You set your coffee cup on the counter behind you so you can wrap your arms around Buck’s shoulders. “I wanna do this.”
Buck turns in your arms to look up at you. “Yeah?”
You nod. “Yeah.”
A smile creeps across his face. He gently pulls your arm so you’re to the side of him. He sets a hand on your stomach. “There’s a baby in there.”
You run a hand through his hair, then look across the table at Eddie. “ Our baby is in there.”
Eddie smiles. You cock your head, silently prompting him. He takes the hint and pushes away from the table, joining the two of you on the other side. He stands between the two of you, setting a hand on each of your shoulders.
“Hey, you have a pregnant girlfriend now, so you can’t be doing stupid shit,” you say softly, wrapping your free arm around his waist.
Eddie’s smile softens a little as he nods. “I’m gonna talk to Bobby, get set up to talk someone.”
“Good,” you say, kissing his cheek, “because we need you around. All three of us.”
Eddie kisses your forehead, then the top of Buck’s head.
Eddie doesn’t talk about his feelings. It’s probably because he grew up in a house where people didn’t talk about their feelings. Sometimes, though, Eddie really thinks it’s just the way that he is. Some people have no problem discussing emotions, and some people… are Eddie Diaz. It’s not a big deal. It shouldn’t be a big deal.
“So… what would you like to talk about, Eddie?”
“I… don’t know,” Eddie says with a sigh.
There are a lot of things he probably should talk about. There’s probably a lot of childhood trauma to unpack, and don’t even get him started on the dead wife and sudden single father thing. He could talk about his parents or his time in the army. The thing is, though, is he doesn’t want to talk about any of that. He’s not here for his inner child, or his dead wife, or his parents, or his army buddies.
He isn’t doing this for himself. He’s doing it for you and Buck.
Eddie opens his mouth, then closes it. He furrows his brow in contemplation. “Nothing I say leaves this room, right? I mean, if I tell you something, you can’t tell my captain, right?”
“As long as you don’t plan on hurting yourself or anyone else, nothing you say leaves this room,” Frank replies.
Well, if that’s the case, he may as well talk about the actual reason he’s here.
“My partners are worried about me,” Eddie eventually says.
“Your work partners?”
“No. Well, yes, technically, but…” Eddie sighs again, pinching the skin between his eyebrows. “God, this is so stupid.”
Frank doesn’t say anything, waiting for Eddie to elaborate.
“I have a girlfriend, I have a boyfriend, and we all work together. She’s a paramedic, he’s a firefighter.”
“Do they know that you’re dating both of them?”
“What? Oh, yeah, they were dating each other before I started dating them,” Eddie explains. “It’s… complicated.”
“Is that why you’re here?”
Eddie shrugs. “I guess. That, and the fact that she’s pregnant.”
Frank pauses, looking up from the binder sitting in his lap. “...Are congratulations in order?”
The question brings him back to his conversation with Buck, the one they had before you woke up.
“So… we both want this.”
“Of course.”
“Okay, great! But… if she doesn’t… we have to respect that.”
“Of course.”
“And we have to mention it right off the bat, just in case.”
“Okay.”
“We can’t influence her decision in any way.”
“Alright, Buck.”
“It’s her body, so it’s her choice.”
“Yeah, Buck, I get it!”
He smiles. Eddie hopes you know how much Buck loves you. His smile falters a little. He hopes you know how much he loves you.
“It’s a good thing,” Eddie confirms softly. “It’s great, actually. I’m excited to be a dad again.”
“Then why are you here?”
“I’m here because my parents are visiting.”
If Eddie’s going to therapy, Buck figured it only makes sense if he also goes to therapy. When he initially brought up the idea, you were supportive, of course, but you also poked a little fun, which he should have expected.
‘ You just have to do everything Eddie does, huh? I’d make a joke about following him into a burning building, but given our job, it doesn’t feel appropriate. ’
In Buck’s defense, he isn’t just doing it because of Eddie — he’s thought about going to therapy for a long time. So when Maddie said their parents were coming to town, Buck figured it was the closest thing to a sign from the universe he would get.
“Well, if them visiting brings you to therapy, something tells me the relationship isn’t great,” Rosemary notes.
Buck figured it was a conflict of interest if Frank was also his therapist, so Bobby set him up with Rosemary instead. She’s a nice-looking woman; not in the sense that he’s attracted to her, but in the sense that she looks like a nice person to be around. Her hair is light grey and curly, and her circle frame glasses cover the smile lines around her green eyes. She looks like someone’s sassy grandmother or maybe a fun great-aunt.
“It’s not great,” Buck says with a light chuckle. “It always felt like it was me and my sister versus them.”
“How so?”
“They… didn’t pay attention to either of us.” It sounds so juvenile when he says it out loud. “I mean, it felt like they only cared about me when I got hurt; I was a pretty reckless kid.”
“Sounds like they were a contributing factor to that,” Rosemary observes. “Children tend to take attention however they can get it, even if it means hurting themselves or others.”
“This sounds crazy, but… it didn’t even feel like I was fighting a real person. They were just a moving punching bag.” Eddie laughs humorlessly. “Kind of an oxymoron, isn’t it? I would spend the whole day helping people, then I would turn around and hurt them.”
Frank taps his pencil against his binder. “You said you didn’t feel like you were fighting a real person. Tell me more about that.”
“What’s there to tell? That’s how I justified it. It’s how I… coped, I guess. If they weren’t real, I wasn’t hurting anyone, and if I wasn’t hurting anyone, it meant I could keep doing it.”
Frank hums in acknowledgment. “How do you cope now?”
“Huh?”
“You changed the way you act, but that doesn’t change the way you feel,” Frank says. “It doesn’t change the fact that you need an outlet. So, how do you cope now?”
“I cope by avoiding them.”
“You’re having dinner with them,” Rosemary points out. “How well do you think avoidance will work when you’re in the same room with them?”
Rosemary may look like someone’s fun great-aunt, but she speaks more like the drunk uncle — with brutal honesty. Buck appreciates it, but he also wants to wince every time she opens her mouth. It’s a confusing combination.
“Probably not that well,” Buck eventually says.
Rosemary smirks. “So how do you plan on getting through it?”
“Maddie,” he says instantly. “Like I said, it’s always been me and her versus them.”
“Even though Maddie’s the one that invited them. Without telling you.”
Yeah, Buck’s been trying not to think about that too hard.
“She wants her daughter to have grandparents,” Buck says.
“What do you want?”
“I want this. It just… isn’t how I pictured it.”
“You didn’t picture yourself marrying Shannon. You did that.”
“Yeah, well, my family was happy to hear about that one,” Eddie expresses. “This? Not so much.”
“You’re afraid of what your family will think.”
Eddie scoffs. “I’m not afraid — I know what they’ll think. And I don’t want to deal with it.”
Frank turns his head. “You must love them a lot.”
Something about that sentence makes the back of Eddie’s throat burn with bile. “W-what?”
“You think your family will be disappointed in you, which will hurt them. You don’t want to hurt them because you love them.”
Eddie’s jealous of you and Buck for a lot of different reasons. He’s jealous of Buck’s close relationship with his sister. He’s jealous of your skills and ambition. Not once, though, has he ever envied either of your family dynamics.
Until now.
See, Maddie figured out the whole ‘throuple’ thing pretty quickly, mostly because Buck can’t lie to her. It took her a while to adjust, but she doesn’t care — she doesn’t judge. The only family you have to tell is the 118. Buck doesn’t have a relationship with either of his parents, and you don’t talk to your only living parent.
He’s jealous of how easy it is for the two of you. Neither of you has to explain the relationship to your elderly grandmother or preteen son. Sometimes, it seems like the two of you get all the good parts of being together, and he gets stuck with the sucky parts. It’s not fair to feel that way, he knows that. But he can’t help but feel it.
“My parents had a lot of expectations for me,” Eddie says. “Dating two people at the same time and possibly knocking up one of them? Not one of the expectations.”
“You’re not going to tell them, then.”
“I just don’t see the point. All I would be doing is giving them more ammunition.”
“Hmm.”
Buck narrows his eyes. “What does ‘hmm’ mean?”
“Well,” Rosemary sighs, “from what you’ve told me, it sounds like you aren’t all that interested in establishing a good relationship with your parents.”
“I’m not.”
“So why not tell them about everything ? How you feel, your relationship…”
“Because it would end in screaming and crying,” Buck says. “I don’t think that was Maddie’s intention when she invited them.”
“Do you always base your actions on what’s best for others, not yourself?”
Eddie gets done before Buck, so he takes a seat in the waiting room; they scheduled their appointments at the same time so they could carpool.
Buck walks out a few minutes later. Eddie pockets his phone and greets him with a smile. “How did it go?”
It probably would have hurt less if Rosemary just slapped him across the face. As it turns out, healing isn’t supposed to be comfortable. Really, Buck would describe it as painful, like the dull ache of a tooth growing in. It’s the type of pain that’s ultimately worth it, but when the end isn’t in sight, it just hurts.
“Fine,” Buck says simply. “You?”
Eddie isn’t sure if he and Frank click. Then again, Eddie isn’t sure he’ll click with anyone who expects them to bear his soul to them. It’s hard to feel comfortable around someone whose every other sentence makes you itch. It is not a simple surface discomfort, either: it’s the kind of twinge you can feel in your bones.
“It was okay.”
“How was it? Did you boys share all of your deep dark secrets?”
“That’s next week,” Eddie jokes. He kisses the top of your head as he walks by you in the kitchen.
Buck grins, taking a seat next to you at the table. “What have you been up to?”
“Homework,” you groan as you close your laptop. “God, all of this better be worth it.”
“It will be,” Buck promises, setting a hand on your knee.
You smile. “Oh! I have something for you both.”
Eddie frowns, sitting across from Buck as you dig through the backpack on the floor beside your chair. You return with a series of black-and-white photos. You hand one to each of the boys.
“I went to my OB a few days after the ER visit,” you explain. “I wanted to make sure I actually had something to tell you.”
The ‘baby’ isn’t more than a white blob on the sonogram; you can barely make out the difference between the butt and the head. When you were in the office, all you could feel was shock. Now, though, watching the men you love stare at the sonogram with wide eyes… you feel nothing but joy.
“It’s a girl,” Buck says, pointing at the white blob. “I can tell.”
“You can not ,” you snort. “It’s literally impossible.”
“Trust me, it’s a girl,” Buck says. “Don’t you think, Eddie?”
You both look at Eddie. He’s staring at the picture with watery eyes.
“Eddie?” you ask softly, reaching out for one of his hands. “Are you okay?”
Your voice snaps him back to reality. He looks at you, then the sonogram again, then at you again. He lets out a breath that sounds sort of like a laugh.
“I’m okay,” he assures. “I’m… I’m just so happy.”
His response makes your eyes well up — damn hormones.
Eddie scoots out of his chair and leans over, pulling you into a hug. Moments later, you feel Buck wrap an arm around your shoulders, and without looking, you know his other arm is around Eddie.
“So… really, what did you guys talk about?”
The three of you are lying in bed. Buck is laying on top of Eddie, who has his arm wrapped around you. Buck has an open hand set on top of your stomach. They both turn their heads to look at you.
“Unless you really don’t want to talk about it, which I would respect,” you quickly add.
Buck shrugs. “I mostly talked about my parents.”
You raise your eyebrows. You shouldn’t be so surprised: out of all the topics in Buck life that require therapizing, his parents is probably at the top of the list.
“Funny, I talked about my parents too,” Eddie mentions.
Buck turns his head so his chin is resting on the space right below Eddie’s sternum. “Really?”
“Yeah. I told Frank how excited I am to be a dad again, but I don’t think my parents will be thrilled.”
“Were they happy the first time?” Buck frowns.
“Not… exactly,” Eddie cedes, “but I think this time, it’ll be worse.”
“I guess I luck out in that area,” you note.
You know that polyamory is still a very taboo topic. The people in your little bubble are supportive, but they’re just that: in your bubble. You know the rest of the world, including parents and other family members, won’t accept your relationship so easily. It’s easy for you to shrug that reality off, considering you don’t have any family you’re worried about disappointing. You know Eddie doesn’t have it so easy.
Your phone rings on the nightstand table. When you pick it up, you see that it’s an unknown caller. You recognize the area code, but it isn’t one in LA. Hell, it isn’t one from California.
You click ‘accept’ with a frown. “Hello? …That’s me, yes. Why are you calling me?”
Buck and Eddie share a confused look before turning back to you.
“Yeah. …Mhm. …Oh. Okay. Yeah, I’ll… figure something out and call you back. …Thanks, you too.”
You hang up and set your phone back down. You stare straight ahead, your eyebrows still pulled together.
“Who was that?”
“Stillwater General Hospital in Seattle,” you say slowly. “My, uh… my dad is dying.”

No cause now I'm thinking about dad Chan who loves his two little girls so much but is sooooo excited when he finds out they're finally having a boy 🫠
sigh. i fucking love dad chan sm.
His girls are his world. For years he’s worn the Girl Dad hat (metaphorically and literally, it’s his favorite cap to wear) proudly. From painting nails to braiding hair, tea parties to makeovers, there’s nothing he would ever want more in his life.
In his opinion, Chan has the best life. Two perfect girls, a wonderful partner, a job that fulfills him. It doesn’t get better than this.
Head on your lap, his eyes flutter shut as your fingers work through his curls. Softly massaging them after a long day of work and recitals and dance practice. He’s leaning into his comfort, head turning just a bit to the side to kiss your swelling belly.
“I wonder what she’ll be like.” He mumbles against your skin. “There’s such a gap between her and her sisters.”
You laugh softly. “Chan, we don’t know if it’s a girl or not.”
His eyes open, widely blinking at you. Really, he never considered the possibility of a boy. Girl Dad. That’s what his title has always been. “Right, but it probably will be.”
You shrug, hands softly moving down to cup his cheeks. “Maybe. But I have a different feeling than I did with the girls.”
That makes him sit up, head almost a little dizzy. The idea of having a son — it isn’t a bad feeling. He’s watch Changbin with his twins, Jeongin with his baby. They love their boys more than anything. Chan has always wondered what it feels like. Having more than just girls.
But then there’s Jisung, who is so obsessed with his daughter that he hardly leaves the house without her strapped to his chest. And Minho, who has literally threatened to kill all of them if they even so much as think of giving her a snack that wasn’t approved by him.
And Felix, who decided two kids was plenty. Who has his girl with freckles that mirror his own and his boy with a smile that’s brighter than the sun.
What’s it like, to have both?
“A boy.” Chan mumbles, mostly to himself. Hands spreading across your belly, tracing the stretch marks gently. You need lotion before bed. He’s got to be sure he remembers that. “How do you think the girls would feel?”
You grab your husband’s hands, squeezing them tight. Worries always fade at your touch.
“I think they’d love him more than we could ever understand.”
///
You always look so uncomfortable during an ultrasound. Head rolled against the exam table, eyes shut and face furrowed as the doctor squeezes the cool gel on your stomach. Without looking, your hand finds Chan’s. Squeezing it tightly.
“What have we decided?” The doctor makes light conversation, her hands working the gel across the lower part of your belly. “Do we want to know?”
This is when you look at Chan, blinking softly. You do. You don’t want to be surprised. He was the one who couldn’t decide, convinced the new baby was going to be a girl.
Girl Dad. Like he’s always been.
“Yeah.” The conversation from a few days ago is in the front of his mind. “Yeah, we want to know.”
Chan brings your hand to his lips, kissing it softly.
It’s quiet as the doctor works, the sound of the heartbeat filling the tiny room. She hums to herself, a smile spreading when she finds the tiny baby. “Looks like they’re doing alright. Developing nicely.”
Relief washes over you, shoulders relaxing on the uncomfortable table. “That’s good.”
“What are you wanting?” The doctor asks, curiously looking at the two of you.
You answer quickly. “It doesn’t matter, really. But I’d like a boy.”
She nods before looking at your husband. “And you, dad?”
Girl Dad. What he always has been, and probably always will be.
Right?
“I—“ He looks down at you. You, who always seems to have a love filled gaze when you look at him. You, the best mother for his children that he could ever ask for. You, who makes the idea of not being exclusively a Girl Dad not so intimidating. “I’m not sure.”
His ears are ringing. Skin feels tight. The longer the doctor takes, the more nervous he’s getting. Chan doesn’t think it’s a bad nervous. A nervous that makes him want to throw up, or cry, or scream.
A nervous that fills his heart. A nervous that is welcomed.
“Congratulations.” The doctor turns the screen, letting you both take a peek. “Your first boy.”
It’s a boy.
A boy.
Chan’s eyes widen, steadily filling with tears. Bottom lip trembling. On the screen is a little bitty bean, floating around in your stomach. A tiny little bean, who isn’t the girl he was expecting. The girl he was waiting on.
God, his heart feels like it could explode it’s beating so fast. “A boy?” It comes out as a horse whisper.
You look up at Chan, tears already falling down tour face. “A boy.”
He loves his girls. They’re his world, his everything. Nothing could ever compare to the unwavering, earth shattering love he feels for them.
And now. Now he has this boy, who stops time. Who he knows nothing about, but is dying to see what he’s like. His son, his little tiny, perfect son.
A boy. He sinks to his knees next to you, lips quickly finding yours. Wet cheeks pressed against each other, emotions intertwined. The love that’s in this room is overwhelming, thick.
Everything.

A/N: happy new years!! enjoy this themed work, love and kisses xx
———————
Winter break as college students wasn’t nearly as fun as spring break, but when your friend got invited to go out for New Years by a gorgeous stranger? Your break got a bit more interesting.
The bar your friend dragged you to tonight was not one of your usual go-to spots, it was rather a western-themed dive that you never heard of before. Your friend, Evan, insisted that you two go here for New Years Eve since he was invited by some flirt he met at another party a few nights ago. The said flirt was a sturdy looking man with dirty blond hair, a killer smile and a promise of an equally gorgeous brother for you.
Now, you haven’t necessarily sworn men off or anything, but you weren’t really on the look out either. So when Evan came to you with that pouty beg and a swear that it would be fun- you caved. Now you were growing to regret it when you walked into the dingy bar with a few pool tables and so many chairs that just did not match.
“This is the place Dean suggested?” You ask with a pinched look of uncertainty as you surveyed the bar. It wasn’t too packed and there were hardly any people your age here.
“Uh, yeah, guess he likes… unique places,” Evan shrugged with a matching unsure smile.
“That’s one way to put it,” you murmur back, still scanning the place when a familiar voice catches your attention.
“Hey there, pretty boy, you made it,” the handsome stranger from a few nights ago lights up with a warm, suggestive smile as he reaches out to pull Evan close to him. Evan’s cheeks burn red like a fire hydrant. Dean then examines you lightly with a small smirk.
“You must be…” he stretches out his hand, pinning your name after a beat- suddenly remembering it. You shake his hand. “I’m Dean, and my brother Sammy’s already got us a table but we waited to order a round,” Dean pulls his eyes back to Evan, looking him over with a look that you know probably melts your friend. Dean darts out his tongue to wet his lips before snapping out of some small daze and then leads the three of you back to a table with the tallest man you’ve ever seen.
His hair is shaggy and messy, plopped on his head like a mop and he looks like a nervous wreck. He runs his palms up the thighs of his jeans with a quick smile as he stands to greet you. A dimple popped on his cheek, offering a beautifully decorated smile for you to adore instantly.
“Hey,” he pulls out a chair and offers for you to sit and you do so with a polite smile.
You offer your name and he offers his.
“Let’s get us a round,” Dean flags down a waitress and lets you and your friend order first. You get your favorite and Evan his, followed by two simple beers from the brothers across from you.
Something about the awkward demeanor of Sam strikes you as more uncertain than nervous and you wonder if this whole thing was Dean’s idea.
“Some place you suggested,” you speak casually, taking a look around. You don’t mean to be rude but seriously, a dive bar next to a trucker stop in Philly? There are dozens of options just in this part of the city that you could list that would be immediately more fun and more safe, you feel.
“It’s close to our motel, convenient,” Dean shrugged, watching you for a moment, “ya’ don’t like? We can always go somewhere else,” Dean glances at Sam who nods in agreement.
“It is a bit…” Evan tries to find the right words, the polite words, “mellow?” His voice squeaks as it raises an octave.
“I know a few places in the city if we want to dance,” you suggest, looking over Sam. He would do just fine as a dance partner, tall figure, wide frame, strong arms with big hands that would feel oh-so great on your hips. “Or there are also a couple low-key places if you prefer to sit around a drink like old men,” you joke as you accept your drink from the waitress and a quiet ‘thank you’.
Dean chuckles and takes a swig of his beer and Sam watches you with an amused smile and a pinched brow. Evan kicks you lightly under the table and gives you a warning look.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, but it is New Year’s eve and we gotta take advantage of that! We can come back to this place any other night you two want,” you look between the brothers with a suggestive look, hoping the mention of a future date is enough to persuade them. Sam scoffs a smile, laughs and takes a swig, hissing after before he speaks.
“He’s got a point, Dean, I mean we always choose rundown dive-bars, when’s that last time you’ve been clubbing?” Sam raises an eyebrow and Dean scratches the back of his neck, staying silent. Sam's eyes widen and he leans forward a bit, “wait, have you not been to like a club club?”
“Shut up, Sammy, I didn’t get the ‘college experience’ that you got,” Dean gruffs out as he takes a swig of his own drink. And despite the nerdy exterior of Sam Winchester, something he was was a party animal after a few drinks in him. He loved going out dancing with Jess, holding her close, feeling the music, bodies pressed so close.
“Where do you go?” You ask Sam before you really mean to.
“Um, Stanford,” Sam nods curtly and looks down at his drink.
“Holy shit, so you’re like smart,” you gawk lightly, taking the man before you in for the first time again. Sam chuckles and shrugs.
“What’re you doing on the east coast?” Evan asks, “Visiting family?”
“Actually I-.”
“Yep, Sammy left us for school across the country but we get him back a few times a year,” Dean interrupted, which earned an annoyed and confused glint from Sam for a moment but he just took a breath and returned his look to you.
“Yeah,” he says breathy, clearing his throat.
You just nod, there’s definitely something you don’t know but quite frankly, you don’t need to know.
“So whaddya say?” You raise a brow, finishing off your drink and pushing it towards the middle.
Sam and Dean exchange a glance and you look over at Evan who seems a little frustrated with you but you know he’ll thank you later when Dean has been grinding on him for 5 songs in a row.
“What the hell,” Dean shrugs with a cocked smile as he pulls out his wallet and leaves cash on the table.
After polishing off their drinks, everyone stands and follows Dean out the the parking lot. You and your friend Ubered here so you pull out your phone to call a new one but a smack to your shoulder makes you look up. Sam and Dean stalk around a beautiful, sleek black, old fashioned car.
“You two comin’?” Dean calls with a smug smirk like he knows our slightly gaped jaws are for the car he spins his keys on his fingers for.
“Hell yeah,” Evan scoffs and catches up. Dean opens the passenger door for Evan and Sam does the same for the backseat for you.
“What a gentleman,” you tease softly, offering your thankfulness in the form of a smile that you can tell makes a rosy flush bless his cheeks.
Once everyone is settled, Dean starts to leave the parking lot and pipes up, “okay, sweetheart, where are we off to?” Dean looks at you with a ‘c’mon, let’s hear it’ look in the rear-view.
“Okay, so turn right and at the light go left,” you scoot up to rest your arms on the back of Evans seat.
“Where are you thinking?” Evan asks, tilting back a bit to look at you and you smile knowingly at him.
“Pulse,” and that gets a smile of approval from Evan.
“Pulse?” Dean cocks a brow and looks over at you.
“Mh-mm, trust me,” you nod, leaning back into your seat.
The drive is considerably quick, and as Dean passes the club to find parking, you can all hear the thumping music from outside. Your heart matches the thump with excitement as you look back over at your date, taking him in full yet again.
In this light, he looks positively angelic. The neon lights from the street frame the details of his side profile like a 60s diner at midnight, and something about him was worn and tired even for his young age but you didn’t think he would share so you just brushed it off as you took in his beauty.
As the group walks into the packed bar, blaring music pounds your eardrums and starts to numb the canal. A smile curls on your face and you tilt your head back, absorbing the atmosphere of the club. Your hips immediately start to sway and a pep in your step works you closer to the bar as you order everyone a round.
“Now this is a New Year’s party!” You shout over the music to the group. Dean's hand is already snaked around Evans waist, holding him close to his hip. Dean smirks at your words and Evan is already flushed with rosy red.
You hand Sam’s drink to him and wait for him to bring it to his lips. A matching glare of competition makes you both smirk as you race through half of your cocktails, your hand vining around his waist to secure him closer to you. The height difference is a little frustrating due to how far your mouths are, but that’s not necessarily a problem at the moment.
Sam’s free hand grips your lower back, sinking his fingertips into your flesh and curling you closer to him.
With Dean and Evan forgotten, you and Sam finish your drinks and he leads you out to the dance floor. Strobing lights flash all around you, making you dizzy in all the right ways. You sway and raise your hands, ruffling your hands through your hair and spinning to pin your back to Sam’s chest. The action pulls a groan out of his chest and you can feel the rumble in the chest.
Sam's hands pin back into your hips as he holds you close, swaying with you like a practiced waltz.
He suddenly runs his hands up the sides of your body and up your arms, his hands scaling the path. With his fingers clasped around your wrists, he grips tightly for a moment and then brings them back down to touch your own hands to your body. He keeps your hands in his palms as he runs them over your torso. It’s a painful tease because you just want him to touch you.
You spin back to face him and drape your arms around his neck. His head dips down to press into your forehead and your already panting breaths swirl together between you.
God, your mouth waters because he smells like he would taste absolutely amazing.
You play with the stands of his hair that blanket his neck and you can feel goosebumps pebbling his skin. The power you have over him at this very moment makes your head spin.
His hands creep up your back and one hand settles on the back of your neck and the other on the small of your back.
The song transitions into a very happy and pumped up song and a smile spreads on his face as he pulls away and spins you around. His hold on your wrist allows him to zip you against his back and instinctively, your free hand reaches to his other.
His head tilts back into the crook of your neck and so does yours to his. You're both looking up at the ceiling- dancing lights and pretty stars above you. You both lean into each other, holding the other up right, as you get completely lost in the music.
A few rounds and many many songs later, you and Sam are completely plastered and sweaty. His hands pull your ass right into his hard-on and you feel butterflies as you ride his lap. He continues to groan and has even begun nibbling at your neck and leaving soft kisses along the salty skin.
A smooth rumble startled you softly as Sam’s voice swims through your ears, “it’s almost midnight,” it makes you shiver.
Oh yeah, you almost forgot about that. You turn to see a big screen that displays the ball drop in Times Square just an hour or so away.
Everyone starts counting and the music throbs with the seconds. Tick, tick, tick, it’s almost there and Sam keeps your back pinned against him. He reaches up and brushed back your hair to expose your neck fully to him so he can count down in your ear.
“7…6…5…” he kisses and bites your earlobe lightly, “4…3…2…” he grabs a soft fistful of hair to angle you back and once you’re in position he lets go of his hold to let his hand rest upon your throat gently, “…1,” he devours your lips. Hungrily taking a deep taste of you. Due to both of your drunken states, teeth clink together but neither of you seem to really mind.
He keeps your back to his chest as he kisses you, now taking advantage of his height to tower over and claim your lips.
You can’t help it as a needy whimper escapes your lips, and from the angle your neck is at, it practically squeezes out if you. Sam chuckles at your reaction and you feel him smiling into your kiss.
“God, you’re something else,” Sam grumbles, thirsty and starved. The building tension between you buzzes like a hive and you itch to feel more of him. “Fuck- just,” he grunts, his grip on you almost bruising.
“C’mere,” you grab his wrist and lead him back to the bathrooms. You burst into the bathroom and push Sam back into the wall and he chuckled, showing off his perfect fucking dimple again. “Fuck,” you groan, landing into him and grabbing his face to steady him.
His hands wander up your torso again, sending shivers up your spine and aches down to the pooling heat in your stomach.
“If you-,” kiss, “want me to-,” kiss, “stop, just-.” kiss, “just say,” you breath huffs out as your lips attack his.
“Not a-,” kiss, “fuckin’ chance, gorgeous,” he chuckles, spinning you around to pin you to the wall.
With your cheek pressed into the wall, a smirk paints your lips and you prepare yourself for whatever unearthly pleasure this stunning man is about to inflict upon your aching body.
Best way to start the new year.
Sam’s hands swim down your body and grope your ass as he lefts out a deep groan, pressing himself into you. This earns another needy whine from your lips that causes Sam to grip a little tighter.
He spins you to pin your back against the wall and kisses down your neck, letting his palm press into your cock that’s screaming for him.
“Are you sure about this, gorgeous?” Sam slurs softly, his eyes solid enough to show his seriousness. You nod with your lip pinched between your teeth. His eyes dip down to the sight and he groans again, grabbing your jaw and yanking you into him.
Before you really register, your dick is out and his calloused hands cock at it teasingly. His thumb collects your precum and swirls it around your tip, causing you to squirm as a seed of pleasure grows through your stomach.
“O-oh, S-,” his name falls off from your lips as he pumps your cock.
“What was that, gorgeous?” He teases, a messy smile staining his lips and the goddamn dimple mocking you. He keeps his eyes latched to yours as he reaches up to lick his palm to supply more moisture as aide to his work. He massages on the slick, letting his hand glide along your length with his spit. God, you could unravel on the spot.
You feel like a pathetic mess beneath him, especially since you’re just now noticing his other hand granting him his own friction as you suddenly feel an intense need to please him. You straighten your posture enough to place your hands into his chest and walk him back into the sink. You claw at his buttons but don’t make real effort to try and get the shirt off. No, you’re too focused on the tile calling out for your knees. As you lower, you let your eyes trail up his chest and into his pretty eyes- darker than his brothers, less green and more brown. You fumble with his belt, slinging it away, and then work on his zipper. You let your hands slow down to egg him on further, being such a tease that you’re very proud of.
You finally get his cock free and god, the size of this thing makes you short-circuit. A part of you is glad that you aren’t prepared for anything beyond mouths and hands because how was that even supposed to fit? You shake away the thoughts, only focused on stuffing it in your mouth at the moment.
You wrap your hand around the base, working the muscle slowly, tediously. Sam’s head rolls back and his hands grip the porcelain behind him. A wonderful sound dusts past his lips and it makes your mouth water. You part your lips and snake out your tongue to lick the underside of his cock and kiss his tip. As you take him as far as you can, he whimpers out a pathetic little moan and his body slacks against the sink.
Letting your hand gather any excess spit, you cock his dick in matching rhythm with your throat. You claw into his thigh, locking him in place to help with the bambi legs you seem to be giving him.
You start to mockingly slow your pace, earning such a needy whine from him. But he reaches up his hand to fist your hair and fuck into your mouth.
Now is your turn to make a million pitiful sounds at the mercy of him. His grunts and moans overshadow the slick and slurps of the magic you work on his dick.
His legs weaken as you can tell how close he is and he starts to slack his dick, holding back so he can pull out when he cums, but you grip his thighs again and fuck yourself back onto him. As you lock eyes you nod the best you can to let him know he has free reign over your throat tonight.
And soon enough he buries himself deep into your throat, thanking god you took a full breath before so, and lets his load seep down your throat in a warm roll of salty goodness.
He pulls out with panting breaths and loosens his grip on your hair to run his thumb along your strands in soothing motions. He curls his palm down to hook his fingers along your jaw to pull you back up to him.
“Now is your turn, gorgeous,” he slurs, shining his pretty teeth and stunning dimple once more. This man was going to completely unravel you.

His Eyes
Mihawk x gn!reader
Summary: you may dislike eye contact, but that doesn’t make his eyes any less mesmerizing
Content: some fluff, a little romance. They’re on a mission. Reader is autistic.
A/N: this is a shorter piece, just a snippet of an idea really, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. So now I’m making you all think about it too! Like all my stories, Mihawk is based on a mix of his live action personality, and the little bit I know from watching some of the anime and reading the manga quite literally years ago.
—————————————
Dracule Mihawk. A great warlord of sea. A man so powerful that his very presence makes others stop and step back wherever he goes, who can freeze a person in place with just his intense, piercing gaze.
You love his gaze.
You love the color of his eyes, the way that lantern light plays across the striking yellow, bringing out those hints of gold. You love the shape of them, the way his eyebrows furrow, that little line that forms above his nose when he’s so focused. You love how he can seem to command a room with his gaze alone.
His eyes are mesmerizing.
“How is it you can stare at me, yet request I avoid the same?”
His words send a shiver through you, one that strengthens as he turns that gaze briefly your way. His arm is is draped carefully across the back of the tavern booth, his fingers just brushing your shoulder.
You shrug and smile—just a little smile, the one you practiced because you know it secretly makes him pleased, even if smiling doesn’t come naturally to you.
“It’s not like I command you,” you tease, even as you draw your knees closer to your chest to better balance your sketchbook and lean slightly into him. You like sitting like this, both because it lets you naturally look away when he does decide to stare at you, and because you love the feeling of his nearness as you lean slightly into his side.
“Hmm.” He turns his gaze away. You quickly peak up at him and are pleased to see the slightest twitch to his own lips, a hint of his own smile.
He’ll never show it, not here in this tavern where every other person subtly watches him. But it’s there, and you’ve enjoyed drawing it out of him since you started working together as temporary partners. Especially since you started to be something more…
You turn back to your own work, drawing your fountain pen across the thick sketchbook paper.
A line here. A small adjustment there. You let yourself fall into the art, even as you listen to the conversations murmuring around you.
The din of voices can be overwhelming at times, painful even when so many noises echo together, but useful. You’ve learned ways to manage it, found tools to let you block out the sound when it’s too much and learned how to sort through the sounds when you do have the energy for it. Now you sit and listen, letting your art pull you slightly away from it all, even as snippets of conversation come and go.
“…can’t believe that seller cheated me! I…”
“…Mihawk here…?”
“…will drink you under the table…”
“…think Garp sent him? Does he know we…”
You still your pen, glancing only slightly up from the page. That conversation was from not too far away. The targets.
“You noticed them too,” comments Mihawk, in that eternally bored, yet oh so confident tone.
“What now?” you ask, turning your gaze back to your sketchbook. “Capture them here or flush them out?”
If you were working alone, you would probably wait for them to leave on their own, then follow them and complete the mission once away from all the noise and bustle of the tavern. But it’s fun to work Mihawk’s way as well, to see just what it is that makes him so simultaneously feared and respected. You find it fascinating how he toys with his targets at times, as if a job is simply a game to him.
“It has been quiet lately. A chase might be entertaining.”
You grin, even as you carefully try to capture a slight shimmer of light in your sketch.
This is the part you find so fascinating.
The way he can inspire or horrify people with just a glance. The way he moves so carefully and intentionally through his work, even as he sometimes treats it as a way to relieve the boredom of being truly the best. The way he knows how good he is, knows his power and wears it like a cloak.
You know the moment he turns his gaze from a casual analysis of the room to a hunter spotting its prey.
It’s in the slight gasps as that muted conversation staggers to a halt. The sharp sense of fear that drifts through the tavern. The way Mihawk’s intense gaze cuts straight through the crowded tables and towards the targets, even as everyone else breathes in relief that it’s not aimed at them.
You’ve done this just enough times now to know that soon your targets will try to leave, try to flee.
Then it will be time to act.
For now though, you enjoy leaning into your warlord, carefully drawing your pen across a sketchbook page as you capture the dangerous beauty of his vivid eyes.

Tumblr media
Leave Everything. Join Me.
Something that isn't a drabble? Who would've guessed... Spur of the moment thing that I needed to get out my silly little head.
Word Count: 2010 Ramattra x Reader (gen)
Tumblr media
“Run away with me.” It wasn’t a question, more of a demand. It was a shock to see your partner at three in the morning but his words cause your breath to stop.
“I’m not a kid anymore, Ramattra. I can’t just run away because things are bad.” You say, shrugging his demand away. “I have more to think about, bills, work-”
"But you could have a life away from those that have hurt you. If I stay here with you, I cannot be held accountable for what I may do to those that have wronged you." He states.
"Ramattra, I can't just leave-"
"You do not have to make the choice now, but please, think about it." He places a few sheets of paper on the table, writing littering each page. "Read this, think about my offer. If you choose to stay, then I will respect that, just like I will respect your decision to come with me."
He left an hour after he had arrived and that was the last you heard from him...
The papers still lay on the kitchen table when you woke up from a nap a few hours later. A reminder of the time you could possibly have left. It was a life changing decision, one that needed some thought, but only having less than twenty-four hours to make that decision... it was difficult.
Maybe it would've been easier, no, it certainly would be easier if you weren't in such a position. You had a somewhat stable job, your own place, but with the trauma and the nightmares, it was hard to stay sane most days.
But... You made it this far. You made it this far without the help of someone else. You made it far on your own. You did it. Nobody else did. You raised yourself, you cared for yourself. You picked yourself up when nobody else did. You fought and sometimes you lost, but you were always standing in the end. You would always come back stronger, even if only a little.
A bloody nose never stopped you. Being beaten and traumatised never stopped you. Neither did being on edge, wondering whether you would run into the same people that brought you down time and time again, the people who had threatened you, who had hurt you. You never stopped...
Perhaps running away wouldn't be such a bad idea, afterall.
Your partner quelled any worries that you had when he brought it up at three that morning, but they still lingered. Of course they lingered. Even when he left an hour later, leaving you with the choice to join him or stay there.
Could you stay by his side through it all just to escape your hometown? To escape your nightmares? Is it really fair to just drop everything and leave without saying a word?
The friends you had made, you probably wouldn't see them again, let alone talk to them. Family... well, that was long broken. Your parents never checked in on you even at your lowest, so why should they matter in this decision.
Time was ticking.
You had less than three hours to come to a decision.
He never answered the phone, nor the text messages and you were growing anxious. He's busy, you could say it over and over, outloud or in your head, it still didn't calm those nerves.
Deciding to keep yourself busy, you go for a walk, the icy air hitting your cheeks the moment you open the complex door. The snow had fallen, the streets grey and almost empty.
With hands in pockets, the scarf wrapped up tightly around your neck and coat fastened to the top button, you walked.
And you walked.
There was no destination.
Just walk.
Clear that head and walk.
Or don't. Keep thinking about how much your life will change. If you leave with your partner, you can never come back. You will be outcast. You will no longer be able to look your friends in the eyes. There will be no turning back.
"Oh, sorry!" Someone bumps into you, but you pay them no mind. You keep walking, too into your own head to even offer any words back. They keep walking, just like you do.
"Can I take your order?" The man asks and that's when you snap out of the daze. You had wandered into the cafe, stood in line and shuffled along until it was your turn.
Only when you look up to speak, do you recognise the person who is talking to you. Someone who had hurt you in the past. Do they recognise you?
Their smiles says no, you order your usual drink and stand near the counter, waiting for it to be made.
Perhaps the dishevelled look made it so you wouldn't be recognised, but then when they call your name in that same, mocking tone as they did several years ago... You bite down that anger, shooting daggers at the man as you practically snatch the cup out of his hand and storm off out of the cafe.
Perhaps running away won't be so bad, huh? I won't have to see his face again...
Keep walking... Just... Keep going.
You found yourself back home minutes later, staring at the same papers on your kitchen table. Was it truly okay...?
Meanwhile, Ramattra had been making the necessary plans to go forward with his liberation. He had his blueprints strewn across the console for a moment longer before he transferred them to the empty space to the right.
A worrisome sigh escaped him, his fans whirring quietly in the otherwise silent room. His mind wandered back to you. Were you packing your bags? Were you preparing tonight's dinner? What were you doing?
Ramattra would admit that he didn't give you enough time to make such a life changing decision but with how you worded everything lately, he figured you were ready to leave the moment he showed up to your door at three that morning, but when you hesitated, he decided to leave the papers on the table and leave.
Maybe he was in the wrong for expecting you to drop everything in that moment. Maybe he was getting ahead of himself.
All he knew was that you were reaching a limit with everything going on in your life, and with his liberation on the uprising, he wanted you to be safe.
If that meant you were staying with him onboard one of his vessels, it would help him charge peacefully.
Regardless of what you chose, he will respect that decision. If you chose to stay with him, he'd keep you close by, reassuring you and making sure that you were okay. If you chose to stay in the apartment, he'd let you go with a broken heart but he wouldn't fight. He'd still try and make sure that his liberation wouldn't cause any harm to you.
You were the one human to actually care for the omnic, who actually gave a shit about him. You showed him things that no other human did and he couldn't get you out of his systems. You were a virus, seeping your way through his circuitry and affecting every part of him.
Ramattra was willing to risk his life to be with you. He'd wander the streets with you, his hand in yours. Occasionally he would buy you gifts, nothing too expensive and he loved seeing the way your smile lit up and your eyes glittered in the light. He'd spend some nights with you when he wasn't working, listening to your troubles and fears of of the future. He could sit there and listen to you ramble for hours.
He had new feelings, new emotions, and that was thanks to you.
Dare he say it, he was in love with you.
So, when the time came, he made his way to the meeting point. The old fountain at the park. A few minutes walk from the subway. From there, should you arrive, he would take your hand in his, press his faceplate against your forehead, he'd thank you for considering his company and then he'd walk you to his vessel.
He was early, half an hour early, but he didn't mind. He sat down at the edge of the fountain, looking up at the sky above. It was pitch black, the odd star dotting the void. He hated what humans had done to the earth, polluting the one planet that they call home.
Despite the attempts made to colonise another planet, he knew that there was no escape. Ramattra knew that the cycle will continue, regardless of the advances in technology. It was inevitable.
Fifteen minutes went by and there was still no sign of you. While you still had time to show, Ramattra started getting nervous. He couldn't control the bouncing of his leg, his system was in a fritz of anxiety.
What if you didn't show? What of you chose to stay here? Could he truly handle just walking away without you? He promised he wouldn't fight, but was he capable of leaving you here?
The ten o'clock train rocks up to the platform, many people get off, few people get on. Ramattra keeps his optics in the direction of the platform, scanning every person that leaves and parts ways to their own journey.
He keeps searching, his heel hitting the concrete harshly as his leg keeps bouncing. When he goes to check his phone, he realises it's dead. Shit... Must have drained earlier in the day...
He freezes, wondering if you had been calling and messaging him since he left that morning. He curses again, this time in omnicode.
Looking back up, there is no sign of you. The omnic decides to wait a little longer, hoping that you would appear.
Ten minutes pass. Twenty minutes pass.
There was still no sign of you.
He knew what this meant. He knew that you chose to stay.
With a heavy mechanical heart, he stands from the edge of the fountain and begins the lonely walk back to his vessel. His hand aches to hold yours, arms aching to hold you against his chest.
The snow crunches under his feet, system images going haywire behind his optics as he tries to find any clue as to why you chose what you did.
"Ramattra!"
His head snaps around, seeing you running up to him, bag in hand and flushed cheeks.
"Ramattra! I am so sorry-"
He doesn't let you finish as his arms wrap around your torso, his faceplate pressing against your forehead.
"Do not apologise. You are here." He hums lowly, his chest feeling tight.
"I missed the train-"
"You are here now and that is what matters to me." His hands trailing down your arms and grabs your hands, thumbs brushing over the fabric of your gloves. "Are you sure that this is what you want to do?"
You nod. "Yes. I want to stay with you."
If Ramattra could smile, he would. His head tilts in a friendly manner as he gently pulls you along. "Good. Let me show you where you will be staying."
The anxiety the both of you had been feeling still bubbles but it was no longer as violent as before. You were on a new path, albeit a dangerous one, but fuck it, right? You only live one life and you were done hiding from those around you.
Ramattra squeezes your hand, a flood of reassurance coursing through his wires as he glances at you, watching the way your lips curve into a gentle smile. He couldn't quite believe it. You had dropped everything and joined him.
Either you were insanely stupid or this meant something more to you. Ramattra knew it would take time to adjust to the changes but he also knew that in time, that you would flourish, that this relationship would grow.
Ramattra felt like he could do anything with you at his side, and at his side you will stay.

I was daydreaming about this earlier and just had to blurt it out. need him so bad :(
Eren who sits next to you in Computer Science class. You never really spoke to him only small talk here and there. he didn’t have a pristine reputation, both for messing with girls and also for his constant smoking and drinking. yet when he sat next to you in class he was as quiet as anything he never made any inappropriate comments or glances, he always paid attention to the lecture and handed in his work on time.
Eren who asks you to be his partner for the assignment coming up on building an application. Although you were a little shocked at first you realized he probably picked you as you were not only the easier option as you sit next to him but you were excelling in the subject so he was guaranteed a strong grade. He asks for your number and you gladly type it into his phone saving your name with a heart next to it. you notice the moon in the top left corner of his phone, he’s put his phone on silent, and you can’t help but think about all the notifications he must be getting. you pass his phone back and he chuckles at the name placing his phone in his back pocket.
Eren who messaged you at 6pm one night of the week. ‘hey smarty wanna come round to work on the project.’ you smile at the nickname and type back ‘who is this?’ hoping to tease him and knock back his seemingly big ego. ‘it’s Eren? don’t tell me your cheating on me and got a different partner’ he responds. you finally agree to go over and follow the directions he sent you.
Eren who has a penthouse over three times the size of your own apartment. To your surprise it’s all tidy with a timeless design and floor-to-ceiling windows. ‘wow Yeager not what I was expecting’ you say as you look around ‘And what were you expecting’ he asks leading you to what seemed to be a dining room. ‘i don’t know like a decaying apartment that reeks of weed’ you say scrunching your nose at the thought. he only replies with an ‘ouch’ as he sits down next to you at the table.
Eren who has no idea what to do when you begin to type up a planning document. he gets even more confused as you begin to start coding. ‘yeager are you paying attention’ you say as you try to explain to him what is going on but he just stares at you. ‘huh um yeah something about the structure of the code right?’ he says shaking his head as you bring him back to reality. ‘why did you even pick this subject’ you ask now staring up at him batting your lashes. ‘I like playing games on my laptop’ he shrugs keeping eye contact with you ‘I get all the graphics card and PC talk it’s just the coding that baffles me’. he can only think about how innocent you look as you look up at him.
Eren who continues to meet up with you almost daily to work on the project. You meet up at one of the cafes closer to your apartment and he can’t take his eyes off you. you walked in with your hair down glasses on your nose and wearing flared jeans and a crop top doing all the right things. He waved at you so you can see him and you catch his green eyes and walk up sitting opposite him in the booth. he lets you order your coffee then says his own and puts out his card paying for the both of you ‘Eren you don’t have to do that’ you say looking at him ‘It’s my treat baby, you just worry your pretty brain about the project yeah I’ve got everything covered’ he says pocking your temple.
Eren who surprisingly takes initiative as you stand presenting your application. He says all the right things and also lets you talk about the more detailed elements. it’s no surprise you got a grade A making Eren smile hard and look over at you shaking your shoulders and repeating ‘thank you ma’ over and over. ‘damn smarty you really know your shit’ he says as you begin to pack up your things ‘i’m throwing a party later, you should come’ you shake your head no ‘oh come on mama you’ll be my VIP. I promise you’ll enjoy it' he says throwing his arm around your shoulder. You sigh out a yes and let him lead you to your next class.
Eren who mixes you up a drink and sits with you on his balcony as the apartment is filled with people dancing to loud music. he leans back on the sofa his arm reaching your waist, sipping on his beer as you both admire the view. you look over to him and find him already staring at you. 'your beautiful' he says. 'do you say that to all your girls?' you scoff turning away from him. his hand reaches up caressing your jaw and turning your face so his eyes can meet your own. his emerald eyes burning into yours as he stares at you. before you can think his lips are on yours in a soft kiss, his lips are soft and you can taste the beer on his tongue. your leg moves so you straddle him his hands still cup your cheeks as your hang around his neck. your the first to pull away looking down at him, 'speechless for once Yeager?' you tease. he only hums in response before bringing your lips back to his.
Eren who now messages you non-stop from as soon as he opens his eyes to when he sleeps sleep. he gets you to come round to his on a regular basis. He uses the excuse of needing help with a topic but just wants to have you sit on his lap cockwarming him as you attempt to explain the topic. He becomes obsessed with you needing to feel your touch at all times, from having to hold you as you do your makeup to holding your hand under the table during class. Not because he's ashamed because all he does is talk about you to his friends to the point they're sick of him. He walks with pride with his arm around your waist as you walk through the corridors.
Eren who turns up at your place drunk after a party. As soon as you open the door his head is nudged into your shoulder as he mumbles gibberish. 'Hey what are you doing here it's only 8pm shouldn't you be partying?' you question dragging him into your dorm. 'I missed you, was no fun without you mama' he says stumbling onto the couch and dragging you with him into his lap. 'you're drunk.' you say rolling your eyes. 'god baby you make me crazy.' he groans kissing your neck 'wanna make you mine'. 'okay Yeager don't go saying things you don't mean' you simply state dragging him to your bedroom. 'i mean it.' he states flopping down on the bed. 'then ask me when you sober and maybe you'll get a yes'.
Eren who's arms are still wrapped around you when you wake up. 'Morning baby' he mumbles into your neck. You turn so you can face him 'Morning handsome' you say tucking his strands of hair behind his ears. 'I believe I have something to ask you' he says now pecking kisses all over your face. 'hmm and what is that' You giggle at his affection. 'Would you like to be my girlfriend?' you both can't stop smiling as he asks. 'let me think about it' you say looking up at the ceiling Eren rolls on top of you trapping you between his arms the motion making you squeal. he raises his eyebrow as a sign to continue 'yes, yes I would'.

FWB Yuma Pt2 (More detailed)🔞
WC: 1212
TW: Sex, literal friends with benefits, jealous Yuma?, I don’t go in detail about y/n body that much, mentions of squirting. Cussing by me, I think that's all, let me know if I missed anything
A/N: I’m not going to lie, I had to go back to see what I wrote. If I’m not wrong I think you’re talking about this little dabble I did for Yuma.
---
To go more into detail about what I wrote I actually had a whole ass scenario about when I was in my Yuma hard hours (I still am, it never left me, I bias Nicholas, but Yuma always be catching my attention as my designated bias wrecker). The whole idea I had was essentially this.
You and Yuma started off as close friends bordering best friends; but never actually dated. But being friends with each other always made personal relationships hard. This is because both of your respected partners would grow jealous of the other with how close you two were. Most would either break up with you, or try and get you to stop talking to the other. When the latter would happen Yuma would probably laugh and brush it off because there’s no way he’s cutting his best friend off. Plus even if he did cut you off he’ll still see your ass at family gatherings because his family has grown very fond of you.
If you however did try to cut him off best bet your organs on the black market that he will come breaking down your door because what the actual fuck bestie.
NOW, when you two are single it would still be pretty hard to get into a relationship considering not most people want to date someone who's THAT close to their friend.
This would actually be the start to you two entering that friends with benefits situation.
Like hear me out here bro.
Now after meeting up with a possible match from a dating app. Not only was the date going horrible as your date was ridiculously rude to the minimum wage worker at the cafe you went to. But they also judged you for your interest and apperance.
Immediately going over to Yumas annoyed(and possibly even sexually frustrated from not having sex in literally months to almost a year). You would just barge in, normally expecting his family to be there but today they all had their own individual things to do.
Yuma would be down in the living room sitting on the floor with his back against the couch playing video games.
You would groan dramatically while throwing yourself on the couch. Yuma being the oh so caring yet chill dude he was would tease you saying shit like “went terrible huh? Told you so~”. Him saying that would lead to a pillow in his face.
He would pause his game and turn around to look at you, resting his head on his hand as he was also really close to your face.
You would then rant about how you hate being single, but it’s not even wanting a relationship, it's you needing sex.
Now as you two were besties, talks like this were not rare. You both often talk about your sex life like it was an everyday conversation to have. I imagine him listening to you intently as he studied your features, his hand reaching to play with the strands of your hair.
It would be then Yuma spoke up “why don’t we do it?”.
Confused as FUCK because your best friend did not just fucking say that. He would just shrug his shoulders when you questioned him. Saying something along the lines of “we’re both single and can’t find someone, plus it won’t be a big deal unless you make it a big deal”.
With careful hesitation you would eventually agree.
And that was how his lips ended up on yours, both tearing at each other's clothes as he took you right there.
Both never having sex that felt this fucking amazing before instantly got addicted. Just the way Yuma would nibble at your skin, his hands groping each and every part of you. The way his hips never let up on yours even when you would ride him. Not to mention his oral game. You swear you never thought you could squirt like that, THAT many times.
The relationship would carry on for a while. It was just originally a chill type of thing. Neither of you having an issue if you went out and had sex with someone else as you weren’t really dating.
But the moment that you started to talk about this one guy you met at your work a little too much Yuma would start to feel weird. He had no idea what it was. But whenever you brought up your coworkers name and would start to ‘fangirl’ over him, Yumas heart would start to feel tight, suddenly having the urge to grab your phone and fuck you right there and then to make you forget your coworker and only think of him.
And it would work, don't get me wrong, but after a couple hours you would go right back to thinking and talking about that coworker.
Literally Yuma would be so confused why he feels the way he does, and why whenever he sees you with your coworker why he then feels the need to wrap his arm around you waist and he just can’t seem to stop fucking glaring at him.
I feel like Yuma is the type to say sly shit to your crush too, or try to one up them if that makes sense?. Literally the type to go “oh, you bought them that? Too bad they don't like it considering they prefer this…guess that’s only knowledge I would have though huh?” AND HE WOULD SAY IT WHILE SMIRKING TOO BITCH.
Alas though, Yuma won’t finally snap until you tell him that your coworker had asked you out on a date. Poor Yuma would be confused because why do you need a guy like that? And why does he care so much what you do?.
He won’t say anything but he would initiate sex with you before you go, it would start out as the usual rough and animalist style but would turn into him actually making love to you while he held you so close to him in a way that made you both feel if he let you go you would disappear forever. He wouldn’t say anything though not like he usually does, only words you’ll hear him say is “mine” and “please” as if he was praying or begging for something.
Afterwards he still wouldn’t let you go, clinging to you and nuzzling his face in the crook of your neck as he laid on top of you.
You would play with his hair, concern taking over you as you asked him what was wrong. But what you didn’t expect was to have him pull you even closer. Lifting his upper body up supporting himself on his arms. He would grab your chin, his thumb lightly tracing your bottom lips. Never seeing him this serious made you even more worried. About to ask him again but he cuts you off. His lips crashing into yours, but not in the rough way he usually does. This time slowly, feeling both your lips mold into each other as he took his time.
When he would finally pull apart all he would say would be “your mine”.
No other words needing to be said as you understood 100%
Literally the whole thing being like “yeah…yeah nuff said, i agree”.

Single Dad!König (Dream Daddy au)
(+ a bit of Ghost under the cut)
Thank you to everyone who indulged (said exactly what I asked them to say 😅) me.
Here’s the paragraph I wrote:
I imagine his heart sinking when Ava comes home sad and quiet, unwilling to look her dad in the eye. He recognizes what that means: that used to be him as a kid. His worst fears are confirmed when Ava admits she's being harassed by a boy at school, replaced by anger when Ava says her teachers simply shrugged and told her that boys will be boys, and has she considered that maybe he just has a crush on her? Needless to say, by the time König's walking out of that school, nobody will ever be hurting his little girl ever again. Honestly, one glimpse of Ava's dad by her classmates will keep her free from bullying for the rest of her life.
Now here’s a bit more about single dad König, namely, how he came to be a dad…and single :( Angst and death tw ahead (nothing graphic)
With Ghost, I said he would only have had Caden due to an accident, because of Simon’s previous trauma involving his family. He was firmly in the mindset that he would die in the field, he’s just not built for civilian life anymore, he's a danger to everyone who loves him. However, when Caden shows up at his doorstep, all he can think about is Tommy and his nephew Joseph when he looks at the boy. He probably does his best to get Caden sent to a different family member, but let’s suspend our disbelief that any responsible social worker would leave a kid with Simon “Ghost” Riley for a moment and say that the social worker is like “It’s you or the foster care system.” Realistically, Simon would probably be like “foster care is safer than living with me” but for the purposes of the AU, he took the kid in.
With König, he doesn’t have the same trauma/hangups regarding kids and family. He’s in the same boat as Simon: he’s a human weapon, and can’t function properly in civilian life. For König, his work is an outlet and keeps him stable. I’m gonna have to sit down and make a proper post about my König’s character (Alexander), but for my König, violence is a method of regulating his emotions and a way to manage his anxiety. Having power and being hyper competent in the field is key to his mental stability. However, I think he would be able to settle down, it would just take a very patient, special woman. (For the purposes of the AU his first partner is AFAB she/her.) Here’s where I start breaking hearts… 🤭
In Dream Daddy au, König considers his first wife the love of his life. She deeply understood him as a person and wasn’t afraid of him, even when he was socially awkward and intimidating. They were honestly kindred spirits: both of them had their neuroses and flaws, but instead of trying to fix each other or mold the other into some ideal partner, they accepted each other and thus were able to grow together. (And tbh they were already a match made in heaven anyway.) König’s wife never asked him to quit, and was completely ready to raise a child with him frequently being gone. She was a badass woman, and she really, really wanted to start a family with him, so they had Ava.
For three years, König was probably the happiest he’s been in a long time, and if you asked him he’d probably say it was the happiest time in his life. He was moving up the ranks at work, his mental health was in check, and he had a wife and adorable little daughter to go home to every leave. He started planning to transfer to a safer/more stable position, because as much as the military has done for him, he’s ready to step up as a father and a husband. Then he gets a call that changes his life forever, and suddenly he doesn’t get a choice anymore.
(I'm eternally sorry to the little fictional people I made up in my head because I entertained the idea of putting the Brooklyn 99 "Guess who got murdered!" gif here...)
One thing y'all need to know about my man Alexander is that he is the embodiment of "I am not meant for casual. I was born for soul-crushing devotion." His problem is that he never had devotion before his wife: he craved it like a starving man, and it engulfed him like water flowing into a basin when he got it. He had it for a handful of years (I'm thinking 6 but that's a flexible number), and now it's gone again. You know in movies when something horrible happens and they cut all the noise and there's just a high pitched ringing sound? That's König getting that phone call.
God. All I can imagine is König dropping everything and taking the next flight home. He’s in a daze, in a way that he’s never quite been before. His mind is finally quiet, but the emptiness is not peaceful. Then he finally sees his little girl, she runs into his arms, and the dam bursts. He just holds her and cries. He’s numb, a dead man walking throughout all the business that needs to be taken care of after his wife’s death. The only thing that brings him back to the land of the living is Ava. She’s so small, so sweet, and she doesn’t really understand what death means: all she knows is that her mama’s gone somewhere, and her dad is so, so sad all the time. She’s all that keeps him going, and the only reason he keeps himself alive.
By the time you come into his life, it’s been several years, but Ava is still a little girl. She doesn’t remember her mother at all except what König tells and shows her, because he’s determined to keep her memory alive. König’s been slowly rebuilding who he is as a person from whatever scraps are left. There’s a gaping hole inside him, and he’s reconstructed himself around the hole. In some ways he’s a totally new man, in other ways, he’s gone back to who he was before his wife came along. He’s bitter and angry at the way his life has treated him just as he was as a young man, but now he’s swallowed up by guilt and self loathing. He's gotten better at coping and functioning as the years have passed and life has continued on, but his grief has never really gone away.

Tumblr media
the chase was always the best part of the hunt. the thrill of the game knowing you’ll always out run his reach, another night of getting away with your earnings. but you did like when he caught you every now and again, hands pining you hard to the ground, chest panting with adrenaline.
you always had the urge to reach up and tug his mask free, probably why there was always a tight grip on your wrist. probably able to read your mind, hear your thoughts and desires.
or because you’ve verbally said one night, “would love a peek under the mask, spidey. bet your real handsome.”
you enjoy the position the chase forces the two of you into. him on top, gloved hands having firm but non-bruise touches, his thighs straddling you on the side of your hips. you pretending to be defenseless on the bottom, lightly shuffling your body around. you always get away though, just a little bad luck on your side to slip free for the night.
tonight was another night of this cat and mouse game. you running and leaping over rooftops with a bag of high tech strapped to your back with spider-man swinging and shooting webs to slow you down in anyway, you just cut yourself free with your claws though.
Tumblr media
“thought you could do better, spidey!” yelling over the wind, voice airy and teasing. a sneaky glance over your shoulder you saw as his red and blue suit glided in the air before shooting another web for momentum.
“and i thought we’ve done this dance before, cat!” he managed to land just in front of you on the rooftop, blocking your straightforward run. you skidded to a stop, fixing your posture to straight and narrow.
“we’re so good at this song and dance, why stop? best part of my nights.” slow seductive steps closer, but keeping a safe distance for now.
spider-man sat his hands to his hips, his own feet moving him closer, “well if you didn’t work on the bad side of the law this could all be different.”
a low purr at that, “oh really?” two steps closer, “how so? saying you want to work together? be partners in crime fighting?” the gap was closing.
his shrugged and swept a hand through the air, “wouldn’t that be better than running around for crime bosses? underestimating you? treating you like eye candy?”
just a foot left between the both of you, “they know not to underestimate me. and if it was the two of us, you’d be the eye candy. haven’t you seen the gossip blogs?”
now you couldn’t see the body or face under the suit and mask, but you noticed the way he stuttered in his steps and how his head snapped over quickly.
adding the stutter in his words, “wh- what do they…. what do they say?” left hand rubbing at the back of his head.
a simply shrug with your shoulders, kicking the tips of your boots into air while walking into spider-man’s orbit. “you know… good body build and height. love hearing you talk in any form,” sharp index finger claw skated across his chest, “love the air of mystery behind the superhero.”
and before a nail could slip under the seam of the webbed mask, spider-man held your wrist. his narrowed bug eyes staring you down, “bad idea, cat.”
“aww, but i’m all for bad ideas.” and with a little bad luck on your side you were able to adjust your stance and managed to twisting spider-man’s air and throw him to the ground while rolling atop him. knees sitting on the sides of his hips with palms holding his chest down. his gloves hands grasped at your hips tight.
“i certainly love this position. too bad it can’t be a different situation.” leaning in close with hooded eyes and lonely lips.
spider-man tilted his chin up and you could hear the smirk in his words, “well, never say never.” and it genuinely caused a stir in your belly, him never one to shamelessly flirt back with you. you liked it.
“maybe another night, spidey.” moving your head to the side of his face and planting a lingering kiss to his masked cheek. then whispering low, “can’t wait for next time.” and you ran like a shadow into the dark night, stolen goods still in your possession. along with spider-man’s heart, something you plan to steal every time.
