Okay okay, so... who, out of everyone you know about rn is your favorite? (Fleetfoot is included, Fleetwood is adorable)
Thank you for such a great question!
I love a lot of things about so many characters, & am really enjoying getting to know them in my first read of the Throne of Glass series (so it changes a lot)… Honestly, Fleetfoot might be my most consistent😂favorite😊, I don’t think any character can ever be better🥹???
— Especially as in a world of such prejudice Fleetfoot loves every person for who they are (including Archer; who she does not love; because who he is sucks🤣). — She doesn't care that Dorian has magic she stays with him until Celaena can come back, she follows Celaena into the woods on the 10 year marker of "Aelin's dark day" just to sit with her. — She also defends Celaena from the monster even while injured herself she wouldn't let them hurt her person.
She was the outcast of the litter, the "underdog" and became the bravest hulking wolf of them all.
Fleetfoot serves as the “save the cat” for both Celaena in showing her disgust at the idea of calling a dog a burden to be rid of because of a shy temper and at not liking humans after they stole it from its mother (which also speaks a lot to her, as if Fleetfoot is her Abraxos style “spirit animal”) while showing even the Assassin has moral lines. While also giving Dorian the chance to “save the cat” or in this case the dog. She even heavily serves as a plot telling device such as recognizing Nehemia from beyond the veil. More than that she becomes a beloved by all character… as you can see by this very dramatic explanation. Also I’m just a sucker for dogs & golden retrievers😂
Otherwise (sry this is gonna ramble😂): if ya want more
+ I’d love to hear yours if you want to share: so, who are your favs/fav?😃
I really want to learn more about Aedion because his relationship to Celaena thus far in HoF heavily reminds me of my siblings (and normally makes me cry because of it). I want Celaena to come to know that kind of love, and I already love Aedion for it.
Dorian really astounds me in his character — I mean that word literally & in phrase — he is a good man, he consistently shows it, and I give him props for being such a healthy emotional male character in a YA series.
Of course I have to mention our main gal Celaena / Aelin; there’s a lot to love. First I’d say the tropes she breaks (reminding me of a Nesta/Feyre mix of leading female perspective book traits) which I really appreciate. — She is tough, she is a warrior, she is not a damsel; she also loves makeup, and fancy dresses, and wishes to dance; she can be entranced by the romantic fantasy of just being normal. She is not equated to her love interests alone but she does love many and remains quite a loveable character within her resilience; as most of them come to say & bring to further light as well. She is fiery in all she does, there is something beautifully magically brave & empowering in that.
Sam Cortland will always get a shoutout because I will always love him.
Chaol used to be on this list and still isn’t off it but it’s complicated; I can say though I wish he didn’t take pieces of what he dreams people to be and try to make them fit that mold, he does apologize from it come to recognize it learn and try to do better. I genuinely believe he loves Dorian and Celaena (which doesn’t fix everything but does mean something); that he is a good man who just wants to do the right thing; he’s still a young kid. And so, he hasn’t lost me yet.
Rowan has entered where he will stay in the list of favs forever & ever “to whatever end”.
Emrys right now (& probably always) has my heart; I love a good loving character who makes everyone soup and tells stories. Give me a Hagrid, Chiron, kinda character any day. One that makes them feel at home; strangers, friends, foes, legends alike. Calls them out when they’re an idiot, and welcomes them with open arms after every exhausting day… He’s just good and kind.
And after a recent HoF chapter (some might say THE HoF chapter) Lady Marion deserves a mention & round of applause; mad respect, absolute adoration; the true hero; a mothers love. The way it made me cry at the love of a mother, the way I love my littles, etc.
P.S. for ACOTAR it’s probably Feyre, Nesta, Gwyn, Rhys, Azriel… also the house if it counts? lol 😂

4 8 10 20!
( Thanks Jess! And also wow, if you don’t even read this I don’t blame you because I got so fucking carried away answering these. )
4. Have you always liked to write and at what age did you start?
I didn’t start writing till I was around twelve, I think, and then it was simply sporadic drabbles. Then, one unit in secondary school where we had to write something creative/descriptive was when I really started to like writing. At some spot I had attempted a Novel: although it was basically just a rip off of Harry Potter with a weird half dragon girl that was in foster care and sent an invite to some mysterious school. She wore these hideous neon yellow bicycle shorts.
Then I had one semester of screenwriting classes. I have never enjoyed a class so much in my entire life and actually had my writing read by people in the same room, out loud, and they all laughed and really enjoyed this short script I had written. I have never felt so proud before in my entire life, ok, like showing drawings/art I’ve made will never compare to showing that piece of writing. If anyone can tell me a feeling better than getting an emotional reaction from your writing let alone a whole room to even giggle then you must be talking about doing hard drugs or some shit.
( But I had to drop out and, like, that’s not this question. Y’all don’t need my life story rn.)
So, I mean, I’ve been writing consistently and more seriously for four years now. Although annoyingly it’s been mostly through rping but I really want to do something with writing in a way that could, like, pay the bills, y’know? Despite this proving I cannot edit.
8. How has roleplaying, specifically, impacted your life?
From the previous question I‘m sure you could guess the answer is a lot. I’m being very dramatic whilst writing this, but I’ve been thinking a lot about writing and myself and, well, roleplaying is what keeps me constantly practising writing. I have some self-confidence issues and other things, so, I just really love writing things ok. I’m obsessed with stories and storytelling. My future career plans are honestly driven by my love of stories and characters so. SO. A LOT.
10. How many muses do you have and which do you relate to most? Why?
Oh fuck. I have too many. So many, they’re all just languishing unused and there’s too many and I keep making new ones despite being in the double digits with characters…. The ones I’m currently writing are Wesley Kelley, Ernest Graves & Goodday Jones.I… don’t? I don’t really relate to any of my characters. I supposed I do relate in very, very small doses with all of them. I drop little pieces of myself into every character. As much as I love talking about myself and my fictional children, it would get too long to go into detail about every similarity/relatable thing. Although, a new character (Gabriela Godwin) I’m planning out at the moment is probably the most, unfortunately, relatable in the fact she’s very lost and very needy yet being… occasionally cold hearted and distant. Although Godwin’s those feelings amplified by a thousand, just as most relatable things with my characters are amplified.
20. Who are your top three favourite fictional characters and why?
This question is why I took so damn long to answer this ask cause at first I struggled but then… Oh my god I’m sorry I have rambled so much. I didn’t realise how many feelings I have about these fictional men. They’ve all ended up being men. Yeah, I know.
Top Favourite, forever No.1 that you can pry from my cold dead hands & I will fist fight Bendy Cucumber over him: Sherlock Holmes. I always keep coming back to this guy. I demolished the whole damn book series in one go. I literally spent years reading nothing but Sherlock books. (That alone tells you everything you need to know about me.) He’s so delightfully complex and insanely loveable despite his abundance of faults. Wholly his own person. A drug addict. A recluse. King Cheerleader of the Underdogs. Kinda gross and mentally not-all-there. I mean… there’s literally nothing I don’t love about him. Favourite Sherlock’s go: Book Sherlock; RDJ’s Sherlock; Elementary Sherlock & Basil Rathbone’s Sherlock. Fuck Bitty Sasquatch’s Sherlock, specifically fuck Moffat.
Frank Castle is another I’m not gonna let go of for a long fucking time haha. I’ve ventured out into some of the comics but I’m basing this on Jon Bernthal’s turn as my fave anti-hero. I love the vigilante, the comic book hero that’s breakable, constantly bruised to shit, loves Dogs, has both black and white morals that guide whilst he himself lives in the grey area of morality all the damn time. It’s definitely the morals aspect I love. And, ok, the excessive violence. He’s so fucking violent, brutal and efficient and capable. I really love capable heroes, ok. Too often they fumble their way through things. Why’s it always the anti-heroes or the villains that are allowed to be capable? I Love Frank. LOOK AT HIM. HOW CAN YOU NOT, THIS WHOLE ROOF MONOLOGUE, THIS LINE IS WHY I LOVE HIM A LOT:
( Ooh! I have more to say about Frank! I really love how he’s an example of characters that kinda step out of being fictional? I’m super into True Crime/the justice system so prison/cops etc. are things I just… obsessively read about … and there have been so many times I see The Punisher’s skull painted on policemen or jail warden’s vests. or you just see that skull lurking, ominously, in the background. Same with war photos and soldiers. It’s cool as fuck to me how he’s leaked out into the real world. I STILL HAVE MORE TO SAY BUT IMMA STOP because these are unorganised and it seems like I’m not saying anything new or interesting to anyone besides myself. )
THIRD. HMMM.
I’m going to go with my current favourite: James Keziah Delaney in Taboo. What the fuck is this man? I know there’s a lot of problems with the show but I don’t want to start on that because James Keziah Delaney is The Devil and I Love Him. Villains that are genuinely terrifying hit the spot, y’know? James is that and he’s the main character! I know a lot of this (and most of my fave characters) are down to the actor just hitting all the spots and making them seem so real, but he really hits the spot. Tom Hardy’s grunts are my favourite fictional character quirk. Like when James is drunk, out of it and the man wants to excuse himself so he just goes: I’m always like this. Or when the East India Company want to buy Nootka Sound and he swears at James and he makes this weird ‘nyyaaHA’ laugh sound. You self-aware bastard, grunting all the time, making weird noises and fucked up choices with your love interests. Ripping out intestines, practicing black magic & just what are you.
