At Newboy’s shows he’s been performing some tracks that aren’t on any of his studio albums so I went on a deep dive to try to find out if they were released elsewhere. I could only find this one that was posted up on SoundCloud in October last year. The other one he plays sounds a bit similar in all the right ways— Clearer vocals more aligned with his most recent album than the ultra distorted vocals in his first EP with that classic prickly GTV synth alongside a markedly more long meandering synth over some of it. If this is a direction to expect for future records I’m sooo excited 👀
