Honestly after moving around a bit I’ve realized that like … no matter where you are people say like four things about their town/area:
The weather is incredibly variable/unpredictable (“don’t like the weather wait five minutes”)
Too many people are moving in (bonus points if they specifically complain about California)
The driving situation is uniquely bad in their town
The road construction is uniquely bad in their town
#okay I can say that road construction in Rapid City is indeed annoying as hell a lot of the times#but I have some solid perspective after living in OKC and having to drive to Dallas regularly#the construction here is annoying but it’s not rage inducing#though our road design/traffic light design is pretty fucking shitty#none of the lights are timed correctly#they put in a diverging diamond interchange with zero thought about how to time the lights#I mean that entire section of town is a traffic clusterfuck
