My first route in the Arcana was Nadia but literally all my thoughts were about Vulgora it was insane
Admittedly I don’t remember the little details of Nadia’s route- I enjoyed the political romance theme but (gestures to myself) I am not a sub so I didn’t replay it a whole lot out of personal preference. I DO love vulgora too they’re such a chaotic demon
#mail#naked oiled wrestling with vulgora when#I do also have my own qualms with Nadia’s route and her characterization#but I have critism on all the routes

Transcript: Dusttale is a boring au. It's boring in the first version especially so. sans just 1hit koing every other monster is fundamentally less interesting than his actual arc In the murder route. Like at least make him struggle and lose a few times to the other monsters If he remembers resets and thinks this is the 'best option' (it's not and sans is smart enough to come up with a better idea than just murdering all his friends Like a dumbass) then show him dying a few times and coming back to try again when frisk reloads! i don't even hate it cause it's popular I hate it because it thinks it's a good idea and makes sans look equal parts stupid and too strong. Fucking undertale itself addresses the issue with just killing everyone to level up enough because without being able to reset and reload himself he's always going to lose to frisk. I hate how stupid it makes sans look and I hate how the fans of it can't handle any criticism of it.
This isn't critism BTW better people than me have explained it's problems this is pure hate I hate dusttale it sucks. And the character of dust himself is so far removed from who sans is as a character that it does a major disservice to what sans character is about. I'm tired of hearing about the world's most edgy boring overdone au and I want it's fans to learn how to tag shit so I CAN STOP SEEING IT. Yall wouldn't have to deal so much with haters of it if you'd stop attacking alternate takes of the au and learned how to tag your crap so people don't have to see it. Not that people should send hate to people who make dusttale stuff but if you guys would TAG it you'd get less. Besides most of the people making alternate takes ARENT THE ONES SENDING HATE.

I kinda wanna see Jason & several others get a bit of a reality check.I've seen comments that Bruce trains kids as 'child soldiers' &??? The only child soldiers are Damien & Steph?? And they didn't become them because of Batman??
From what I recall, Dick, Jason, & Tim all insisted on vigilanteism. Like, Bats TRIED to get them to just stay home where it was safe, but they refused!
Like, what do people expect Bats to have done? Lock them in a dungeon & never let them out?
It's about a 50/50 that would've even worked & on the 50% chance that they did get out, they would've immediately started crime fighting again!
Or, should Bruce have just left them to their own devices, like "not my problem?" They would've either died trying to be heroes on their own & without guidence or grown up to hate the Bat even more for his apethy towards their problems.
Like, whether Jason, or anyone else, likes it or not, Bruce training them was a best case scenario.
All Batman did was try to heard them in the least dangerous direction that he could by giving them the tools to not die a horrible death.
Obviously, it didn't always work (i.e. Jason), but what does Jason expect Bruce to have done in his situation? What would've been the better alternative?
Honestly, I think the problem is that his anger is too big to pin onto just one person, but at the same time, he doesn't want to admit that he got himself into the situation that got him killed. Jason decided to chase after his birth mother without Bruce's aid. Jason went to Ethiopia. Yes, it happened because the Joker believed that there was some sort of connection between Todd & Batman, but how could Batman control that?
Like, I'm not saying that Jay doesn't have a legitimate right to be furiously angry at Bruce. I just think that he should focus on the things that the overgrown furry could actually control & did not handle correctly.
Like, the fact that he was hurt about Tim becoming Robin is understandable, but he didn't really have all the facts to understand the context surrounding Tim becoming Robin. Like the fact that Bruce was not functioning well without a Robin or that Tim refused to just stop when he wastold to. There was more to the situation than what Jay was aware of.
At the same time, his arguments about Bruce not avenging him or burying him with the Wayne name. I can understand that & actually very much agree with him.
Batsy should've killed the Joker or, at least, walked away while Dick did it if he wasn't strong enough to do it himself.
But, he didn't. And I get not wanting your kid to have to walk around with that kind of guilt hanging over his head, but reviving the effing Joker went WAY too far.
At the same time, Jason also should've just killed the Joker the moment he got the chance to. Deciding to use the sack of shit to punish Bats, was a dumbass idea. He should've shot his ass & then double, triple, & quadruple tapped, just to make sure.
Then, if he wasn't to be a dramatic asshole, put the Joker's head on a pike in the most visited part of Gotham with a sign with some sort of literary quote. Something to the tune of "Hey ho, the Wicked Witch is dead" or something with that sort of message.
As for the rest of the Joker's body? I'd suggest going the route of John Haigh. Just to be safe...
Gruesome, I know, but you know what? Whatever it takes to clean out the garbagio.
I know what you mean. I think the fandom and people outside the family give brice greif about the child soldier thing more than the kids themselves do. As far as ive seen dick, jason, tim, damian, and even steph own that robin is something they chose. It wasnt sething batman necessarily made them, its something they needed to do. Batman gets a lot of critism, like wise the league has argued about having sidekicks and teams like the titans and yj because theyre children. More often than not i see conflict about the adults trying to take the hero persona away, than about being given the cape in the first place.
But it can be complicated. I have heard the kids regret being vigilantes and regret what they've been made into by the job. So dick will never regret saving lives but he does regret his inability to settle down, the trained to a fault paranoia, the physical scars and mental wounds. The blame of that doesnt fall on batman or bruce. But on some level all kids feel like their parents are supposed to protect them and there's a point where you realize they can't. This is even more true when your a vigilante and exposed to untold danger. Bruce is a man and he isnt perfect so he can't protect his kids from everything. That hurts him more than it hurts his kid. But its still difficult to get hurt and be disappointed that yoir dad, that your hero wasn't there to save you.
Which brings me to jason. I recognize where you're coming from with jasons anger being irrational and all over the place. But what you gotta understand is that
1. He went through a rediculous amount of trauma. Like the time line of events is: bruce accused him of murdering a guy who commited suicide, jason got mad and found evidence of his birth mother, so he ran away to Ethiopia, he and bruce met up their almost coincidentally because bruce was tracking the joker and that communicate bruce didn't care that jason ran away, jason gets beaten with a crowbar and his mother also gets hurt because the joker is a bastard. The joker sets up a bomb and jason struggles to get he and his mom out despite his wounds. The bomb goes off and jason dies right as batman arrives. Then 6 months later jason wakes up and has to literally claw his way out of his own grave. Afterwhich he is catatonic qnd living on the streets until talia finds him
2. He was being manipulated. Talia found jason and trained him with the league and put him in the lazerus pit so he could recover higher brain function. She gave him everything he needed to train and get vengeance and framed it as a favor to her beloved. But she didn't tell the whole truth and didnt have all the information. Her actions here weren't altruistic. Its heavily implied she was sending jason as her loyal soldier to get rid of tim to clear the way for Damian.
3. The lazerus pit is essentially a drug that amplifies emotions. You could think of it as jason being on steroids. While his actions and emotions are his own they were amped up and irrational. So a lot of his irrational behavior and half thought out plans and stupity can be tied back to him having this 'drug' in his system. Emotions take the wheel and make people stupid without drugs amplifying things
But as i said his actions and the root of his feelings are still his own. So as to the why jason is so angry... well its not just that he was replaced or that he died. It that his death seemingly meant nothing. Jason died and seemingly nothing in gotham changed. He didn't see bruce greive. He didnt know that bruce almost killed the joker twice or that dick temporarily succeeded. He didnt know tim wasnt chosen but decided for himself to be robin. What jason aw was that within months of him dying there was another kid in his cape running around gotham and making quips like jason never existed. He saw the joker, his murderer, still on the steets still torturering and killing people. He saw bruce wayne with a new adopted kid. He saw his tenure, his life, the job that he died for reduced to a memorial in the bat cave with a plaque saying "a good soldier". Not a good son. No one but bruce and alfred were at his funeral.
So jason wasnt mad that tim replaced him. He wasnt mad that he died trying to save his mother. He was made that it seemingly effected nothing. That his death meant nothing to his family and it meant nothing to gotham.
If he wasnt mad at tim than why did he almost murder him? To send a message and to teach a lesson. He wanted tim to understand that robin is dangerous and that Bruce's protection was an empty promise. Jason could have killed tim in titans tower, but he didnt. Because tim dying wasnt the goal.
Why go through a convoluted plot to make batman do it? Well, initially it was jason being irrational. He got it into his head that bruce needed to prove that he loved him, to prove that hed protect him by defeating the monster. Jason wanted Bruce to choose being his dad over his no kill rule. And bruce chose the rule.
So that seemingly said, bruce doesnt love him, possibly never loved him. And this is further exhasperated by bruce sucking at communication. Bruce didn't just chose not to kill the joker when given the ultimatum, he threw a batarang at jason. Bruces will said jason was his biggest mistake. Bruce meant it in a 'i fucked up' way but jason took it as further 'adopting and you was a mistake'. Its shit and with the magic equivalent of .drugs further clouding things. Jason having tantrums and always shotting on bruce and the fam is understandable even if its not fair.
Why not kill the joker himself? Well part of that is fear. Jason has tried a few times to kill the joker and between the fucker being somewhat immortal for convoluted reason, trauma making jason freeze up, and outside interference it just hasnt taken.
As for bruce himself not killing the joker or bruce reviving the joker after dick killed him... well that comes back to the rule itself and bruces motivation for never killing. When bruce was younger he wanted to kill the guy who killed his parents. And alfred explained that taking a life is permanent and puts a weight on your soul. Its something you cant take back and something you have to live with forever. Showing people mercy, giving people a second chance is always the kinder option. Bruce made his rule initially because hes a kind person and he didn't want to carry the weight of murder. Likewise he revived the joker after dick killed him because he doesnt want dick to live with that weight, to live with that regret. Later on the rule took a more sinister tone because batman has seen who he becomes when starts killing. He also knows that if he starts killing hed never stop. Its a weird moral absolute but he knows if he could excuse killing the joker he could excuse killing anyone. And eventually anyone would include people who can change and innocents.
Its a little dumb of a moral absolute but its part if Bruce's character. I think its important to recognize the strength that it takes to show mercy to someone a shitty and undeserving as the joker. That kinda why theyre locked into being nemesis. The joker is ar his core nihilistic. He creates suffering because life is hopeless and nothing matters so may as well laugh at the pain. Batman is someone whos felt a lot of pain and is angry at the world that hurts people, but he is someone who gave himself hope and he is someone who sees the good in people even when they dont recognize the good in themselves. He is merciful and that is an act of kindness.
I do think the joker is beyond redemption at this point. It's the trolly problem at the end of the day: is the jokers recovery worth the lives of everyone hes killed tortured, drugged, and maimed? No. If the joker were to get suddenly better and regret his actions, it wouldnt bring anyone back and very few people would forgive him. Hed never be able yo reenter society or have a normal life. Hes never been a character who deserved mercy, but mercy isnt something you give because it's deserved. Personally i'd be more merciful to the jokers victims and put the fucker down.
But thats not my call. It isn't even really batmans call. At the end of the day batman is just a man in a suit. He isnt god and he isnt judge, jury, or executioner. To kill is a choice and batman chooses not to.
A better question is why the jokers life and death is considered batmans responsibility? And why is murder what jason needs for bruce to prove he loves him? I think thats where jason needs the wake up call. Murder isnt a normal response to having your kid murdered, even if im sure all parents going through that think about it. So why does jason need bruce to kill him so bad?
To feel safe. Jason can never feel safe so long as the joker is around and a dad is supposed to keep you safe. Bruce didnt.
Murder and mercy is where their breakdown of communication is. Bruce choses to be merciful to the villains he's fighting. Jason choses to kill the monsters so the victims can feel safe again.

Honestly, as an actual Chinese the parallel between Adrestia and the Chinese government terrified me when the game first came out. If you think the "stories" of Tibetan/Uyghurs in concentration camps having their organs harvested and being experimented (to make biochemical weapons) are valid, then it is just fucing scary how similar that is to the treatment of Nabateans at the Adrestian Emperor's hands. Heck, they both do censorship, state religion, secret police and propaganda.
Yeah like even if we remove the speculation of human experimentation (cause we don't have any concrete evidence on that because well the Chinese Government are the only people with access to that and they sure as hell won't tell us) the other parallels are still pretty scary. "Propaganda Campaigns", Hubert and Shamir's Secret Police Ending showing rhem putting down dissidents, The State as the Religion in Hanneman and Manuela's ending, Censorship of the past ie. The CCPs cultural revolution involved the destruction and erasure of much of China's Cultural History and Heritage (much of which now lives in through Chinese Communities outside Mainland China + Taiwan) while Edelgard erases The Kingdom and The Original Church of Seiros from history, you don't magically erase en entire culture of people, you have to force them to stop practicing and living their lives the way they once did.
Also I want to reiterate for all the people telling me I'm racist in my ask box. I have absolutely zero problem with the people of China. I have a problem with their Government. The number 1 victims of this Government is the people of China, now yes unfortunately critism of the Chinese Government often gets hijacked by people who just want to hate on Chinese people (and in some cases all East Asians) but that does not make my critism any less valid or the suffering the CCP cause any less real.
Thank you for your ask by the way, it actually reminds me a few months after launch when people were starting to see more of the game, playing more than one route I got an ask from a Korean who said Edelgard reminded her of the Japanese Occupation of Korea that she learned about in School (and obviously some people she knew lived through part of it) so I've definitely seen other people say Edelgard triggered some unfortunate parallels in their mind which is probably why Edelgard is more popular in the West just because of our history of more often being the aggressors in those sort of situations makes an alarming number of people tone deaf to all the red flags unfortunately.
I should reiterate I'm not calling Edel Fans Nazis or Facists or shit like that, I'm discussing literary and cultural parallels.
#princess answers asks#anon#edel discourse#ccp are not good people#real life shenanigans#how many disclaimers do i have to put before they realise im not equating edelstans to the ccp#im just... pointing out parallels#that werent intentional but they exist

Awe yeh boy lets fucking vent
Theres an heavy reason why i have an disliking for oc or oc/canon blogs and this just reinforces it
an reasonable number of all oc blogs are egotistical asswipes that think because they run an oc blog their styles and their rping skills are paramount and any sort of critism even constructive critism is an attack on their souls.
Theres nothing i like more when i tell someone “hey dog i noticed that in our rps you seem to be ignoring my social cues and thats why i think this rp is dying” for them to go “well my rp style is just not up to par with yours then”
Like..i get we all have like different styles to our rp and we describe things differently i get it but if my character says or does someone and its obvisous im like goingff “hey mun heres an thing you can exploit to make the rp go on longer” and you go “well i just dont do that because i dont wanna” and then complain that the rp is dying and that “you dont know how to act because its not scripted” sorta like the person has never interacted with another human being in their existance of living and doesnt know that your muse can interact like an normal fucking human being. Because regardless of your style the ability to see another muse do or say something and to pocket that or question that in that moment is needed scripted or not you need to know how to do that so rps crash and burn.
Sorta like an rpg where you need to ask like an flowchart of questions to get an new question to get that quest its like that. Or the games give you an nudge of an route or something to sabotage or shoot its just inate things you need to know how to do in order for 1 rp length and 2 showing the mun your actually paying attention to what their muse is doing.
AND then going to block me because i dont bow down to your “im going to end this conversation because i dont want to get mad at you” sorta like your an god who doesnt want to get angry and bap me on the nose like im some sorta fucking five year old.
Like fucking cmon what do you want? you want me to go “oh im so sorry i made you upset by calling you out on your crappy rping style let me kiss your toes and beg for your forgivness” get an fucking life i deal with enough drama in rl to deal with some mun on an powertrip.
that being said its an low margin
I sometimes feel like its one of those things were it feels like there is more bad or mean or assholish oc blogs then good ones but i know thats not true because ive interacted with way more good ocs blogs then bad ones i cant really explain why it feels like that. May just be because of this stigma of all ocs being bad idk.
VENT OVER.

yaboimanieners replied to your chat “voltron fans with brains: hey you cant get away with queerbaiting and...”
I mean you still shouldnt harass the crew, like MANY people are still doing since the release of the new season. Its a show- one targeted towards 7- 12 year olds at that! The backlash the new season is getting is starting the get out of hand. Im not happy about the route they took either but im also not going to claim this was the worst season.
hey not to be rude but do you have reading comprehension? no one is harassing the crew - they are critisizing the show. for queerbaiting and for promises of lgbt rep while THEY ALL KNEW whats gonna happen in season 7 the fact that after people told bex thats shes fucking dumb for calling bury your gays a good representation she started screaming on her twitter about harassment and threats is ridiculous. honestly i know that voltron fanbase is batshit crazy and i legit dont wanna find our which shaladin shipper sent threats to the crew cause im sure they did and will keep doing it i dont care about that the critism is not threats and should be taken seriously by the crew but they are playing victims of harassments like im gonna remind you that they promised rep from s1 almost and before s7 they had the NERVE to push hard on shiro and adam - to get views and popularity and money - while they all knew adam is gonna be in 2 scenes and die. like they really did that
and some of you also have the nerve to defend that

Hello friend! Do you think Klance will become canon?
I’ll start off by saying I came out as Bi in 1997 and the world was a different place then. It was not a safe place for LGBTQ peeps like myself, and often times it still isn’t, so I come at this question from that reality.
For most of my life, I couldn’t even let myself imagine seeing a same sex couple on TV. LGBTQ sexuality was seen as something to be hidden, particularly from the gaze of children. At best the majority of society had a “I don’t care if you’re queer but I don’t want to see it” attitude; at worst, my right to exist was questioned. Unfortunately some people still feel this way.
It has just been in the past couple of years, a fraction of my life, that I have seen LGBTQ relationships in media and often those shows or films have met with loud angry critism. HTTYD 2 got shit for barely implying Gobber might be gay so I worry Dreamworks might be shy to go there again. Particularly explicitly.
The cynic in me thinks they are setting up Keith to be part Altean as well as Galra and Ka//llura will be end game. That is the safe route and a nod to their inspiration.
However, the hopeful part of me, wants to see a LGBTQ relationship in VLD so badly and Lauren’s art work with the team and Shiro and Lance’s LGBTQ sign, coupled with the fact that the creators brought us Korrasami, and the fact that we are seeing more LGBTQ rep in the last few years, particularly on Netflix, and that the creators were willing to publicly say all ships were valid and talk about the possibility of a m/m ship gives me so much hope.
Positive rep is exactly what we need to normalize LGBTQ relationships and shake this idea that our exisitance is shameful that too many members of our society have held for too long. The more shows that are willing to take the risk and pave the way, the more shows will be able to go there. I really really hope Dreamworks will take the risk.
Will the rep be Klance? I really hope so. There is so much meta out there predicting why it will be them. They have a lot of chemistry and potential. Scenes like the bonding moment, the elevator shaft, how they usually stand next to and look at each other for a reaction makes me think it will be them.
The creators know Klance is one of the most popular ships ever. I don’t see how knowing that, they can pair either Lance or Keith with anyone else without backlash. Particularly from this fandom where backlash abounds.
But the show might have all ready been written before they knew how popular they were going to be? I don’t know. The elevator scene seemed like fan service and that would have been written before they knew for sure Klance would be popular, unless they wrote it knowing Klance would be popular, making me think Klance is end game.
That was a long heavy answer.
The short answer: I want to think Klance will be canon but part of me is trying to reign the very excited and hopeful part of me in. It’s failing. With every reach, the more I think it’s gonna be canon and I’m gonna be crushed if it doesn’t become so.

City Tavern
7635 St Route 96
Victor, NY 14564
We started the night off with their great happy hour at the bar. Everything is half off from 2-6! Bar area was huge and we could’ve spent hours there with our very fun and attentive bar keep. Great selection of cocktails and a satisfactory draft list. They do take reservations which is a huge plus. I love the vibe inside. Very classy, a great date night destination for sure. They feature a beer battered skinless haddock in a full or half portion. Very pricey at $17 for the full. Fish was very tasty and coating was crisp and not too greasy. My only critism is there was a layer of uncooked batter trapped between the crunchy shell and the fish, making the fish a bit too wet.(8) Came with a cup of homemade coleslaw with multi colored cabbage. Could have been crisper. Nothing special but not bad at all. (7) Fries were battered with a nice crunch with no special seasoning. (8) Tartar was very liquidy with a heavy pickle relish taste. Quite tasty actually. (9) I sorely missed having mac and potato salad on my plate. Perhaps it’s a Rochester thing to not have the holy trinity of sides beside the fish? Just fries and slaw here. They do let you swap out sides for your fries but watch out for the substantial upcharge to do so! $5 for a loaded bake potato (10) or $2 for sweet potato fries (7)! On a side note: who serves ranch dressing with sweet potato fries!? That’s a new one for me. I didn’t mind it but I certainly missed the Buffalo staple of butter and honey! Our server Jordan was very attentive and professional. Answering all my silly questions like a champ. We did wait an eternity for our food though. Mac n cheese was great featuring cellentani noodles. (9) Plenty of parking out front right of exit 45 of the 90. I really liked the place a lot and would return but I think I would try other menu items rather than the fish. It was good, but a one and done for me. Overall rating a 6.5. The rating would have been an 8 if they had the complete side package that I am accustomed to. 🤷🏼♀️

Final Evaluation
SERIES AND SYSTEMS
Overall, I think our series of posters work together and compliment each other well, and on the whole fit with our project aims. Infomation is Beautiful was a really useful research source for this project, and was definately one of the main influences behind our infographics. We were inspired by the colours and playfulness of the data, and how they were able to show info in a conceptual manner with fun and amusing images. Our goal was to see if we could recreate something similar with our own recorded data. Although I think we achieved this with our use of colour and imagery, there are a few things I think we could’ve done differently. By taking a more abstract approach with our data visualisation, I think the lack of numbers / explanation to back up the infographics could leave the viewer confused. I personally really like the idea of using size to represent time, but this might not be obvious to the audience. During this project, I learnt that every detail within an infographic is suppose to have meaning, which is something we didn’t always consider. For example, the ‘Overall Most Used Apps’ poster has colours used in it that don’t represent anything, but might mislead the viewer to thinking they do.
SPATIAL COMMUNICATION
Overall, I think our project was interesting because we redefined what pose and public path meant to us, and created something unexpected. We decided this was important because it enabled us to think more creatively, and in turn generated many more ideas when we were initially lacking them. Instead of working with a physical space, we wanted to experiment with a virtual one and see what we could communicate. Therefore I learnt how important it is to keep producing brainstorms and mind maps in the initial stages of a project, because not all ideas are thought of straight away. I also liked how it became quite a personal project, as it was based on our own interactions with social media. Social media is just about used by everyone these days, so it was an interesting insight to see how the members of the group used it personally, and whether there were any differences or similarities. However, I don’t think this project is self explanatory or easy for the viewer to understand. For example, it wasn’t clear in our presentation how we decided the directions for our walking route because we didn’t communicate this idea effectively with the audience. There were several elememts to this project, and I don’t think it was necessarily obvious how they all tied together.
EXHIBIT
Throughout this project, Exhibit, I have really enjoyed the process, as well as learning new things during it. Research into the artist himself really helped generate ideas, as I began to understand him more as a person and how this could influence the exhibition. Therefore I felt ‘blobjects’ represented him perfectly, as they’re not only querky, like Rashid, but they strongly embody the style of his work. I really enjoyed creating designs for the ephemera’s, and how we had the chance to create a variety of different ones. I found this challenging but manageable, making sure I left enough time for each ephemera, and not spending too much time on one or rushing another. I think my poster, ticket, and wristband are strong, and are consistent with each other and reflect the exhibition’s identity well. However, it did take me several attempts to create a logo and identity that felt right. Initially, the blob in the logo was quite awkward and unshapely, and the composition between text and image needed rethinking. But, with constructive critism and lots of experimentation, I finally created something I was happy with.
I had fun creating the promotion in a space for the exhibition. At first, I had two seperate ideas: to create a motion graphic, or to create an installation. During a tutorial, it was suggested I could combine the two together - the blob installation could act as a bench, in which viewers could watch the motion graphic on. I really enjoyed creating the short motion graphic on After Effects, and it enabled me to practice and develop my skills on the software. I struggled the most with the wayfinding system. Initially I couldn’t understand how to work two wayfinding systems together, but with some help I managed to get some clarity and more understanding on the topic. I think I couldn’ve made my wayfinding system more interesting, as it is quite simple (wall and floor signage). Although I think it looks sympathetic to the theme and artist, on reflection I could’ve spent more time thinking about a more clever system. It’s much harder than I thought to execute consistency, and I learnt how important it is, espeically in terms of branding and identity. For example, making sure I set the date in the same format across ephemera’s is important, and something I wouldn’t have thought to keep an eye out for before this project. Overall, I’ve had a lot of fun during this project, and focusing on identity and branding is definately a topic I would consider pursing in future projects. I love the creative freedom I had when it came to designing the identity, and I feel it represents Karim Rashid accurately as well as creatively.
