No matter what happened in MHA, I’m still proud of Bakugo. Like full stop, he’s the best. And I don’t mean that in a bias way (I totally do) but everything that’s happened is realistic. It’s not your typical “shonen” wrap up. It’s not tied with a pretty bow, it’s flawed and so refreshing to see. Popularity is a sham in hero society but he still works his ass off and is proud of himself. That’s my biggest takeaway, he’s no longer self sabotaging or standing in his own way. He’s making progress on his terms and accepts himself. He’s the hero he’s always wanted to be and that’s goddamn beautiful.
