Thinking about my Lavellan and his situationship with Solas again. Ever since watching Solas's memories it confirmed for me more than ever that he and my Lavellan had *something* going on. And I think about how in my version of the break up scene, when Solas nearly tells my Lavellan the truth, he ultimately doesn't because he realizes they could change each other.

Lavellan could get him to give up his duty, and Solas could get Lavellan to share his burden. I think in that moment Solas realizes that, how similar they are. With anyone else I think he'd g o through with it to get them on his side, to get someone as powerful as the Inquisitor to help.

But he cares about him too much and at the end of the day won't turn Lavellan into a monster the way Mythal did to him.

#dragon age #datv spoilers #mouse oc #to be 100% clear this does not diminish my lavellan's love for Bull in any way #if he'd been forced to choose it would be Bull hands down #but I also think my Lavellan and Bull are sort of monogamous by circumstance #they aren't against their partner falling in love with or being with other people #they're just very happy with each other and never have much interest outside of each other romantically so it doesn't ever come up #Except with Solas but I think the moment things happen with Bull Solas and Lavellan go into this weird state of friendship #where there's obviously something there but Solas pretended there isn't and told Lavellan he wanted to stay friends #so everyone around them is like hey what's uh #what's going on there #and they both go i have no idea what you're talking about #i feel like the way i describe it makes it sound stupider than it is #they're a little messy idk man what can i tell you #I tend to think it's part of why Lavellan isn't as directly involved in the search for Solas #bc he and everyone around him are well aware he can't be impartial #when it comes to people he loves he's just as ruthless as Solas if not more so
