i really like the idea of todoroki "ill atone for the rest of my life" enji ending up living a relatively calm, secluded life, becoming passive with his family to give them the reins and decision-making power 100%, getting into gardening, dabbing into consulting part-time and mostly remotely etc. which all contributes to a very healthy life eventually. meanwhile, hawks is getting desiccated at the office, running on ten coffees a day, battling the safety commission at its roots, pulling all-nighters all the time and yanking at his own hair, frequently shows up at enji's door with tons of food and eyebags that almost reach his nose, only to conk out and nap on his couch

i think that's the post-timeskip life i want for them

I think I decided on what I'm doing with this au. Possibly.

Basically--

Tenko and Keigo get involved in more and more crazy crimes as they try to evade heroes and fuel Tomie's addictions. This leads them right into AFO's hands who is more than happy to take both boys in to shield them from the law. What they don't expect is to be separated with Keigo staying at the orphanage while Tenko is directly adopted by AFO.

While Keigo is in the orphanage he notices strange things going on. Kids disappearing and strange appointments with the doctor and his young assistant Kai. During one of his 'appointments' Keigo snoops around and sees that the missing children are being used to create monsters with the help of Kai. They're working on one especially for Tenko and Keigo decides that he must get not only the other children out, but he must find Tenko before AFO can do something to him.

Keigo joins forces with the assistant who is afraid he'll no longer useful after this experiment to break out and escape AFO's hold.

Unfortunetly AFO isn't the only one out there who's interested in the children...

a funky little au that i have, that absolutely doesn't work in canon, that pre death touya was eraserhead's intern. does this only exist because dabi/touya and aizawa are two of my favorites? absolutely. but imagine, touya 'died' at 16 between internships with aizawa. then, 8 years later, dabi is there and trying to drag endeavor to hell, and aizawa can remember who touya was. the kid who was always pushing himself, who loved his siblings, who once accidentally almost burned down aizawa's apartment (or wherever they were staying for the internship) trying to cook with his quirk. the kid who he unofficially adopted. the kid who shouto reminds him of so much. and dabi is so different but it's easy to see how touya could become him. aizawa can still see touya in there. an adult, who never hurt him, who's willing to try to save him (although, he'll protect his students from dabi if/when it comes to that). alternatively, dabi had no major crimes before the league. imagine, he doesn't want kids involved in this. imagine, once the league has bakugou, he realizes that even if they're the path to endeavor, using children to get what they want reminds him too much of how endeavor used him. how endeavor is using shouto. so, he calls aizawa. calls a number that he memorized at 16. and he tells him where bakugou is, maybe he helps aizawa get him out, maybe he lets bakugou go when aizawa is outside.

it’s important for my heart that endeavor would learn to cook after the war, something about creating something nourishing for someone, making something that sustains others, something that makes people feel warm and safe and stronger, also about how cooking takes patience sometimes and care, and attention, and creativity, in a delicate way he’s never dabbled in before and how at first everything feels too “small” for his big hand that used to hurt others… but in time it just feels right and seeing people gobble down his food awakens a small flame of pride in his body that he thought he should keep flameless forever
