This might sound insane, but hear me out.

What does Adam think about Yugioh?

He probably knows about it. The 4Kids dub aired between 2001 and 2006, so he would have been ~11-16 at the time. Plus, he’s a stem major. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was hanging around nerdy types in high school, if he wasn’t an all out nerd himself.

You may be wondering, why care about his opinion on Yugioh specifically? Well, the main character, Yugi, is a teenage boy who gets possessed by a millennia old spirit destined to save the world from the Satan-coded dark lord. Sound familiar?

What I’m basically saying is puzzle shipping is the midam of Yugioh. And there’s a chance Adam knew about it. How many depictions of two identical guys with a strong *friendship* where one is some young guy and the other is an ancient powerful spirit and they share a body can you think of? And there’s a chance Adam knew about it.

My “ The Fababois/Vibe Check Fob “s throughout the years!

Here is my latest piece, it was inspired by the album “ make it sweet “ by milkcan ( which I believe is a fictional band from the video game um jammer lammy ) because I was trying to recreate it, I opted to give them clothes and hair like the characters in the video games.

Here is last years ( 2022 ), it was the first few months of using my iPad, so I wanted to do some sort of digital stuff, I made the background out of a cardboard box and random trinkets I had around.

then we have the 2021 rendition :) this one is a direct redo of my first ever drawing of them, I think you can def see a difference between this and the OG lol. I got way more confident in my cartoony sketching, which helped me stulize them a bit more.

Here’s the 2020 version, tbh I’d really love to redo this piece cus like,,,,,,, it’s bad LOL. Perspective WHO.

And then lastly the original from 2019 :) even tho it looks like kinda bad now that I’ve improved it still holds a special place in my heart cus of how positively everyone responded when I first showed em off :)

And it got me thinking, did they switch from CCM skates to Bauer or was this just an exception? If they switched do you know when and why?

jack def wore ccm skates before the draft, luke was wearing them in 2019 when he played for little caesar's, and so was quinn at the time.

jack was wearing ccm ribcor 50Ks at the beginning of his rookie year, and luke was at first in the ntdp

at some point they signed with bauer, which is when i thought they had presumably made the switch. i have been searching and cannot put an exact time on it. confusingly jack and quinn were at the bauer combine that summer (july) and i had perviously assumed they were signed bauer athletes before that, but they were wearing ccm skates after, so who knows. or maybe they were signed but there was no exclusivity deal? shockingly lol they wore bauer skates at the bauer combine

despite jack doing an ad for bauer that released in december, he was still wearing ccm skates then. he was in ccm still in 2020, and when the league came back in 2021 he was wearing them too.

based on the 100s of getty images i just looked at, it seems like jack switched to bauer skates at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season, as seen here.

i tried to do the same for quinn but couldnt see any obvious logo on his skates for 2019-2020 but i have been told they were ccm 70ks with the logo removed. still wearing them 2021, and then just like jack, switched to bauer vapors at the beginning of the 2021-2022 season.

there is not a plethora of images of luke at that time on getty images, and honestly im too lazy to look, but i feel pretty comfortable assuming he switched with them.

pretty sure theyve always used bauer sticks tho

Interpersonal squabbles within the critical tag are irrelevant, sorry. This here is a genuine warning against users you should keep your distance from in regards to any VivziePop drama-discourse because their names may come up and you should know what it is that crossed the line.

Starlatte/Starvader/HonestHazbinCritiques/OhGodDude and Woomycritiques/RaySquid - Serial harasser(s). Long story incoming. Starlatte was/is a Vivcritical who got involved in the fandom back in 2019/2020 when she was a minor and didn't tell anyone. Her blog on tumblr was HonestHazbinCritiques where she made some good points but also managed to find/be a part of everyone else's takes in the critical community. Her relationship with several criticalblogs turned sour when she started lashing out, talking over people, being accused of faking her age, and doing stuff like arguing with irl sexworkers abt how they should feel about Angel Dust. Whatever her age actually was at the time, she was also sending her own rewrite scripts and fanwritten episodes to Spindlehorse in order to 'fix' Hazbin. In 2021 Star returned to Tumblr under the name "Oh-God-Dude" w/o disclosing to new people who she was while also starting shit. When said new ppl found out her past and got mad at her, she proceeded to block-backtalk every one of them.

Woomycritiques (twitter handle: Raysquid) is a critical blogger who stans Star and calls everyone else in the critical community an obsessed stalker while lashing out herself. She accused others of racism (unfounded), her friends of predation just for being proship (not the 'cest and underage is good'-kind, the "I like some problematic stuff in fic-context"-kind), and heckled Dirgentlemen over how much they should hate Helluva, and more.

Regardless of if you believe Woomy and Star are the same person, which ppl do, they are both -by now- adult persons who have been asked to stop and DIDN'T, which is why people don't trust them. Star and Woom were asked to tone it down, stop making accusations and even asked by many criticals to leave and stop talking about Helluvaverse as she/they seem to have nothing good to say about it. To put that into perspective, cuz I know some HH/HB fans are gonna be reading this: the people who've self-styled themselves antis and criticals begged this person to leave cuz she had nothing nice to say and was being a nuisance. I know the stans think that's all of us anyway, so let that sink in.
