♡ You've been spending so much time with the other manimals lately; Playing games with Anon, Camping with Eli, and a certain panther is feeling left out. ♡
Tumblr media
You're due to go out with drinks with Eli tonight, but on your way to the door, you hear a soft footstep... That's all the warning you get before a pair of strong hands are coiling around your waist, brushing against your skin through the fabric of your shirt.
A chin nestles into the crook of your neck, and you feel heated, coffee-scented breath drifting over your skin, followed by a deep inhale. His voice rumbles in your ear, achingly soft, but dangerous all the same.
"Where are you going?"
But you're used to Cole's antics by now. You just chuckle, gently grasping his arms and explaining that he has nothing to fear. It's only Eli, and he's a flirt with *everyone*. Those hands on your waist only tighten. He's not letting you go tonight.
"It's been too long since we've spent some time together... You'll stay, right?"
Eli's waiting for you, so you shake your head. You'll just have to dote on Cole some other—
*slam*
You're spun around and pinned to the wall at record speed, and now you can finally see his face, wide-eyed and desperate, pupils slitted like a cat's. The curse *had* left everyone with some weird afflictions.
"You're staying."
He wrenches off his tie with one hand, pinning your wrists with the other. A sharp smile curves his lips, and then he claims yours, surging forward and crushing against you with possessive fervour.
And perhaps, in the distraction, he binds your wrists together with that distinctive red fabric.
You're breathless, and so is he, panting hot and heavy against swollen lips as he bites at them, then mouths down your neck. Of course, he leaves marks, sucking until he's certain of a violet bruise.
He'd deal with Eli soon enough. Right now, he was busy tugging you by the tie around your wrists, stumbling in a vaguely familiar direction with his free hand still tangled in your hair.
You were going to be in for a long night. After all, Cole needed to remind you which of the cursed men you truly belonged to...

ROBYN "HIRAETH" GOODFELLOW | ARCHFEY BARDLOCK | HALF SEA ELF
Name: Robyn Goodfellow
Nickname: Hiraeth. It was her human mother’s name. She took it as her own after returning from the Feywild and uses it as her performing name to honour her memory after having lost her to the whims of time.
Title: “The Silvertongued Saltimbanco”
Alias: Puck (it was the name Oberon used for her during her time in the Feywild. Her Patron grew fond of it and that’s how she is known at the Seelie Court. She doesn’t seem to particularly appreciate it, but she knows better than to contradict either Oberon or Titania).
Age: 33 years old (albeit, she woud be over 150 years old, due to having spent approximately three years in the Feywild, at the Seelie Court, where time flows differently compared to the Material Plane. She was actually born in 1292 DR - Year of the Wandering Waves).
Birthplace: Hiraeth was born in the waters of Deepwater Harbour of Waterdeep, in the sea elf hamlet of T'Quession.
Hometown: Waterdeep, the City of Splendours
Current Residence: Before the events of Baldur’s Gate 3, Hiraeth was travelling around the planes with the Witchlight Carnival, where she performed as Trapezist and Aerial Artist. After the events of Baldur’s Gate 3 and after fulfilling her pact with Oberon, she went back home to Waterdeep with Gale.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Race: Half-Sea Elf
Class: Archfey Warlock/ Bard
Profession/job: Saltimbanco and Trapezist.
Visual particular traits: Underneath the Fey Glamour she casts upon herself to appear as a normal Elf, Hiraeth hides the scales, fins and gills that would be a dead give away of her sea elven heritage. She is not particularly comfortable in showing them around, at least on the Material Plane. In the Feywild, she doesn’t care as much and goes around without any glamour covering her features.
Scent: Evening Primrose, Pansies, Moonflower and Honeysuckle. Hawtorn as well.
Colours/symbols associated with: The Colour of the Astral Sea; Her flute, carved by Damh himself, twin to his own, from which she never parts ways; the mist in an autumnal forest at dusk; A bush filled with blossoming pansies, in all the shades of blue, violet and pink; the dust that fall of a butterfly’s wings; the beauty of the crushing waves during a storm; the glittering of fireflies all round a meadow;
Languages: Thanks to her time spent in the Feywild and subsequently, travelling with the Witchlight Circus and her own inclination to pick up languages easily, Hiraeth can speak an incredible amount of languages. She is fluent in Sylvan, Faun, Elvish (Sea Elvish) and Common. She is also conversational in Sylph, Merman Language and Selkie and, while travelling with Azriel, Asra and Dorothea, she is learning Infernal and Druidic as well.
Accent?: She retaines no Waterdhavian accent from the small time she spent with her mother and father, before ending up in the Feywild, and her current accent is influenced by Damh’s own. So she generally speaks with a strong Sylvan accent.
Tropes they embody: “Fish out of water”, “The Charmer”, Plucky Comic Relief”, “Eternal Youth”, “The Fair Folk”, “Broken Bird”, “Manic Pixie Dream Girl”, “The Rebel”, “The Eternal Optimist”, “The Trickster”, “Hidden Depth”, “Badass Adorable”, “Beware the Nice Ones”, “Cloud Cuckoo Lander”, “Cute Bruiser”, “Deadpan Snarker”, “Bunny-Ears Lawyer”, “Didn’t think this through”, “Exact Words”, “Obfuscating Insanity”, “Eccentric Artist” “Everyone Calls Him Barkeep”, “Non Sequitur”, “Daddy’s girl”, “Fourth-Wall Observer”, “Cheshire Cat Grin”, “O.O.C. Is Serious Business”, “The Prankster”, “Fey-Driven Talents”, “Undying Loyalty”.
Personality: Charismatic, Enchanting, Imaginative, Assertive, Natural Flair for the Dramatic, Sweet as Sugar, Enthusiastic, Kind Hearted, Mischievous, Witty, Whimsical, Happy-go-lucky, Determinate, Resilient, Spontaneous, Eccentric, Fey-Touched, Thoughtful, Can be apathetic, Far too forward, lack any type of filter, uncautious, erratic, disorganized, sometimes she appears detached from reality, as if she was living in two places at the same time. It took Gale a while to realize that it can take a while before she comes back to their reality. Whenever she is “back”, all she could say is that whenever the music of the flutes starts, she has to follow.
Detailed Backstory: Hiraeth - née Robyn Goodfellow - was an Half-Sea Elf, born from the union of her human mother, Hiraeth Dantathur Goodfellow, and a Marel Sea Elf, Aeren Maenenrid, of the noble house Maenenrid, one of the founder family of Mareliar.
Her father was a respected warrior among the Aquatic Elves society, known for his prowess in battle, the merciless ferocity he displayed against the enemies of his people and his utmost devotion to the Goddess Umberlee; her mother, instead, was a kind but spunky human woman and a renowned travelling bard in Waterdeep, known for being able to compose and play the most beautiful songs, dedicated to the Goddess Selune, despite being completely blind.
They met by chance while she was touring in Cormyr with her itinerary band: she was singing in Dragonmere and he happened to listen upon her, while patrolling the shores. There was something in the way that human sang, something in the way her notes would touch part of his heart in a manner unknown even to himself. Before long, Aeren found himself absolutely smitten by her and her singing, and approached her, with all intention of getting to know her. Hiraeth Dantathur, on her end, was also incredibly curious about this suitor of hers, albeit unaware about his maritime persuasion.
Nevertheless, their love soon blossomed over time, and evolved in a forbidden relationship, for Aeren had been promised, in an arranged marriage, and betrothed to another Marel Elf, Nessa Aveantius. Aeren could not bear the thought of giving up his sweet human love, and decided - despite dreading the idea - to travel through dry land and leave the Sea of Fallen Stars behind, heading instead with Hiraeth Dantathur to her hometown, the City of Splendors, Waterdeep.
Here, they would settle down in the harbour, where Aeren would make contact with the local population of Sea Elves and offer his skills and experience as defender of the underwater hamlet of T'Quession, and not long after this, their only daughter, Robyn, was born.
Joyful and mischievous, little Robyn spent more time underwater than she did on land, swimming and diving deep in the harbour, where she would play with the children of the Sea Elves of T’Quession.
Whenever her mother would manage to catch Robyn and actually make her sit still for a little while, she would bring her to the same woods where her father, a druid and acolyte of the Feywild Gods, raised a stone circle and standing stone; there, she would teach Robyn how to play the flute in honour of Damh and Titania, Oberon ad Verenestra, and would talk for hours about all the stories her own papa would tell her about the Feywild.
Fascinated, Robyn would start to look forward to these little moments with her mother, and would start bringing small gifts of food to leave within the stone circle, as an offering to the old Sylvan Gods.
Their happy days, however, would soon come to a close, for Nessa Aveantius, Aeren’s intented, with sorrow at first and then scorn at the news that her future husband would renounce their future life for a human woman, did all in her power to find them and take back the happiness that was stolen from her.
So, one day, five years from Aeren and Hiraeth Dantathur’s arrival at Waterdeep, the assassins sent by Nessa would find the small family and enact the long awaited revenge of the scorned elf-woman.
Aeren fought like a shark, trying to defend both Hiraeth and Robyn, but unprepared as he was, he lost Hiraeth to the assassins’ daggers before he had the chance to even embrace his own trident. Knowing Nessa and her vindictive temper , Aeren knew that the assassins’s aim was not just the woman he had loved, but also the child that they had sired together, so to forever erase the offense brought by his betrayal.
He screamed for little Robyn to run, run, run, as far and as fast as the breeze allowed her, and to never look back, for if she did, she was lost.
Robyn, covered in her mother’s own blood and absolutely terrified in her pain, fled the small cottage, trying to put as much distance between the assassins and herself. She let her feet guide her down the path, drowning in pure terror as she tried to keep the last thoughts of her mother’s life away from her mind.
Back into her mother’s glade, she found her grandfather’s circle of stone, and without looking back, she crossed through the dolmen, and kept running until her legs gave out ad she couldn’t even breathe anymore.
So terrified she was of her pursuers, that she hadn’t even noticed that the forest around her was not the wood that bordered the clearing, and without a second thought, she would find a small cavity in one of the trees nearby, climbing inside and hiding away.
She didn’t remember how long she had spent inside the tree, trembling and whimpering at every single sound, but it was not long before exhaustation would take her and she would fall into a deep, almost impenetrable sleep.
Nightmare after nightmare would followed her through her slumbering, chasing and stalking her like a pack of rabid dogs that would not let her rest, reliving the moment her mother’s eyes - blind from childhood - would truly never see life ever again; recalling her father’s blood running from the wound on his head and his distraught scream of admonishment to run for her life.
Nightmare after nightmare after nightmare that paralyzed Robyn into a spiral of horrors, until gentle music found its way within her mind and quelled some of those atrocities.
When she opened her eyes, trying to figure out where she was, she found a stranger looking at her with curiousity.
He didn’t resemble any man she ever saw in her life: small in stature, with skin the colour of the branches of the tree around her, auburn hair with golden filigree and eyes as dark as a starless night, he appeared to be around the same age as her papa, but at the same time, something about his bearing made him appear as old as the mountains she once read about in one of her mother’s book.
That man was Damh, son of Titania and Oberon and the old Patron God Robyn’s maternal family worshipped when alive.
Without any question, for he had witnessed what had happened to her, he took young Robyn with him, and brought her to the Summer Court, Titania’s domain, where she would reside for the following three years.
Damh would plead his mother to allow him to keep the child around, for her family was among the few that still worshipped him, and a great tragedy had befallen them all. Titania would agree to her son’s wish, moved to profound pity at the predicament the child had found herself into, but she had one condition for her son: to never let the mortal child wander the Summer Court whenever Oberon was around; the Green Lord was not fond of mortals, after Titania’s own tryst with a mortal man a few decades earlier, and she knew that, even if time had passed, he still resented her for it.
And so little Robyn was left under the gentle - if unorthodox- cares of Damh, who treated her with kind compassion and saw in her an acolyte and a student to whom impart the knowledge of the Feywild and of the Sylvan Gods of Old.
The sadness in Robyn’s heart lingered for a while, with her thoughts always leading her back to the Harbour of Waterdeep, where her life had started and finished at the same time. But time and reality in the Feywild was fickle, and soon her memories started to dim. As Damh would often explain to her, whenever she asked why she couldn’t answer questions about her past anymore, “ The Feywild makes you forget. The longer you linger here, child, the more of you will be lost to the Faerie”.
With forgetfulness, came a quenching of the sorrow that was strangling her heart, and each day that sorrow would relent its grip, leaving Robyn in relative peace, as she followed Damh around from one adventure to the other, exploring all the Feywild far and wild, as she slowly forgot about everything that was “before”.
But the Green Lord, who dominated over the Summer Court, couldn’t be kept oblivious for long, and a fatal day, Robyn, now a child of almost eight years of age, stumbled upon him while looking for Queen Titania and Damh.
As much as the sight of a mortal child walking his Court despite his explicit ban on allowing mortals to enter that sacred ground was enough to anger Oberon, nothing could rival the fury he felt when he discovered that his own son and wife had concealed Robyn from his knowledge.
Knowing that he couldn’t do anything to hurt either Titania nor Damh, Oberon decided to take his revenge onto the child that had dared stroll around his Court, and bound young Robyn into a pact with him: Robyn was tricked by Oberon into giving her name to him, in exchange of powers that altered reality for her victims, leaving her unable to distinguish dreams from reality. Robyn believed that she was agreeing to a harmless promise to bring joy and merriment, after so much sorrow, and to also contribute to protect beautiful dreams, but instead, she was unwittingly caught into Oberon and Titania’s quarrel, born out of Oberon’s jealousy toward the favour his wife had once shown to a mortal through dreams and visions.
Because of this, Robyn’s mind would be perpetually torn between the dream realm and reality, with no way of controlling either in the way she wanted. She would experience vivid, often terrifying dreams of her “victims”, dreams that intruded upon her consciousness, causing her to lose track of time and space and leaving her fractured, as if she her own conscience was divided from her own soul. Her perception of reality was often distorted, leading to experience hallucinations, with sudden mood swings, and uncontrollable bursts of magic that she had no way to predict. She might find herself acting out dreams in reality or slipping into a dream state without warning and her sanity would always be at constant risk as she battled the chaotic thoughts and impulses that bombarded her mind.
Unaware of all the consequences that would come from trading away her name, Robyn would then be sent once more to the Mortal Plane, now carrying the alias of "Puck", but not before Titania bestowed a blessing and a protection upon the young child, to allow her to retain, at least partially, a sense of the reality around her. It was also Titania’s blessing that would put her on the path of a young Gale Dekarios, causing the two to actually become friends.
Gale and Robyn knew each other since childhood, when Morena Dekarios welcomed her in their household for a while. They were close friends, with Robyn being enamoured of the way he practiced Magic and him being absolutely enthralled by her stories of the Feywild and also immensely happy to have someone that looked up to him and didn’t think him bizarre. They would often spend their days together, playing tags around the docks together or putting themselves in trouble, with Robyn being the culprit and instigator, most of the time, sweet Gale always ready to play with her and poor Tara trying her best to look over the two children so that they would not end up in trouble. Sometimes, whenever Gale would ask her to, Robyn would recount about all her adventures in the Feywild with Damh, and all the wondrous places she explored during her time there (something that Morena didn’t truly believe possible, but would always refrain from letting her thoughts known, so not shatter Robyn’s belief).
But, whenever she tried to recount anything connected to Oberon or anything connected to the pact she agreed to as a child, she always felt her mind grow as foggy as an early morning on the Tor that acted as a barrier between the Court of Summer and the Court of Autumn, and could feel her own mind break in two, in the “here” and “there”.
Curious about such predicament, Gale would not hesitate one moment to find his way into Blackstaff Academy and learn whatever he could on the topic, but alas his efforts, albeit commendable, would always result in nothing.
Still, stubborn as ever, Gale would not give up on his friend - on whom he had started to harbour a crush - and promised Robyn that he would find a way to retrieve all her memories.
A year after Robyn had “unofficially” joined the Dekarios household, Robyn and Gale would find their way to the Harbour, busy as they were in , able to only remember glimpses of her life before entering the Feywild, found her way to the old, small sea-side cottage her father had built for their family, and once there, she found it empty, sacked and left at the merciless whims of time.
A small tombstone laid not that farther away, and drawn by it, Robyn found where her mother’s last resting place was. The sight dislodged some of the memories she believed forgotten, with glimpses of what happened on the fatal day when the assassins from her father’s tribe came to bring ruin and devastation.
And it was more than she could bear, as those memories started to cascade without respite. But the memories were not the only thing that brought dread to her heart: the date on the small tombstone had left her bereft, for how was it possible that two hundred years had passed from that day?
She was only nine years old: how could it be?
Confused and terrorized about who she was, what she was, what she had agreed to when she gave her name to Oberon, she felt her mind fractur even more, and before she could stop herself, she started spiraling, which caused her to unleash some of the untamed powers that Oberon gave her.
It wasn’t the first time it happened, but whenever she couldnt’ bridle them in the Feywild, Damh had always been there to help stabilize herself before her outburst of magic could cause havoc.
It was not the case that time, and she ended up hurting Gale, a possibility that had always terrified her ever since she met the sweet boy.
Even more frightened now, she brought Gale back home, where Morena and Tara would tend to his wound, imploring Morena’s forgiveness for what happened, and swearing it had been an accident. The young woman would forgive Robyn, and Gale as well would be all patched up without lasting consequences, but Robyn could not forgive herself.
What would happen if she would spiral again? What would happen if she couldn’t keep her powers under control, now that Damh was not with her?
Invain was the reassurance that all was forgiven and that they would all try to find a way to help her: Robyn felt too dangerous to be around others, especially around Morena, Gale and Tara, that had treated her like one of their own, without ever asking anything from her.
That very night, despite the profound sadness she felt in leaving the people that had welcomed her in their life and gave her a semblance of normalcy, she decided to run away from the Dekarios household, and to run away from Waterdeep entirely, leaving her hometown behind in the hope that, by putting some distance between herself ad her past, she would not spiral anymore and would not cause any more accidents.
Not daring to find her way into the Feywild again for fear that more centuries would pass, she spent a few years as a urchin in Baldur’s Gate, where she would survive from people’s charity, conning the Patriars and dipping into their fat purses.
It was at 13 years of age, while she was busy performing a rather daring move to enter inside one the Patriars’ manor to steal some jewelry - Szarr, was the name - that Robyn was caught by Mr. Witch and Mr. Light, the two proprietors of the Witchlight Carnival, and impressed by the was the girl seemed almost to levitate on air, they offered her a job at their circus.
Robyn - now Hiraeth, in honour of her mother - accepted and became part of the Circus, travelling around the various Planes with the troupe, until that fated day in the year 1492 DR, where she was abducted by a Nautiloid and tadpoled.
Most treasured possession: The charms she carries around her waist: a gift from Damh from her first time she crossed the Fey Crossroad into the Feywild, she carries it with her at all times. It’s what allows her to not age (and die from it) every time she travel from the Feywild to the Material Plane. Another one is an ocarina made out of seashell that she had with her the day she was lead into the Feywild by Damh. It was the only thing that she was able to grab before doing as her father told her to and run for safety. Another possession she has, that she never parts with, is an enchanted lantern that Dorothea gifted her, when they met in Neverwinter. After hearing Hiraeth’s affliction about her “not belonging anywhere”, Dorothea enchanted a lantern for her that would lit up in her hour of needs and lead her to her true home, when in doubts.
Sexual and/or romantic situation: After sharing part of their childhood together, and after reuniting when both of them got tadpoled, Hiraeth fell in love with Gale with such profound sentiment, it finally gave her the resolve -and the hope- that she would be able to get out of her contract with Oberon and would finally be able to be whole once more.
Favourite place: The Court of Under the Stars. Once, as a child, during her residency in the Feywild, Hiraeth and Damh went adventuring together, and Damh managed to sneak them both inside, by traversing the portal that lies where the River Styx touches Yggdrasil. They shouldn’t have had access to the Plane where the Court resides, but Queen Morwel was indebted to Damh, and to return the favour, allowed for them to pass through the portals unscathered and to travel around the realm freely just that one time. Here, Hiraeth experienced something that marked her forever, when she saw the eternal twilight that enveloped The Court. She felt the same peace she felt when looking at the stars and the moon when she was a child, basking in Selune’s embrace. It left her with a sense of peace that she never experienced again.
What makes them happiest: Swimming. Oh, how she adores swimming, feeling the sensation of flying through waters deep and low alike, breaching the surface only to dive back, as a dolphin would do when playing with his brethern. After reuniting with her papa, she is learning to appreciate her Sea Elf heritage more and more, as a way for her to reconnect to that part of her past that she thought lost forever.
What makes them angriest: Hiraeth is an extremely tranquil and unfazed woman, with her head in the clouds more often than not, and it’s incredibly difficult angering her. However, there are few things that make her go absolute insane with ire, her mother’s death being the easiest to trigger her. It took her a remarkable long time to find back all her memories of her and what happened that day, and that her father was not at direct fault, but instead he was the reason that Hiraeth was able to save herself.
Another thing that makes her immensely irate, this time with herself, is how she was so easily coherced into giving away her name - and therefore, her truest self- to Oberon to become his Vassal of Chaos in both the Material Plane and the Dreamscape of Mortals. She will never be able to be called “Robyn” again, never to be able to be one and whole again, long as she doesn’t fullfill her pact with him, and she berates herself every single day for it. Over time, she has come to suspect that this is also one of the reasons why she feels like she is slowly going insane: she exists in two places at the same time, the Feywild, where her truest self exists, and the Material Plane, where she navigates around as “Puck”, an husk and servant to Oberon’s whims. She also suspects that it’s Titania and Damh’s protection that’s helping her not slip further and further away into madness.
What makes them laugh: Damh, of all people. He was always the reason she was able to be safe and sound in the Feywild for so long, as a child, whenever she was scared or lonely, and would always come up with silly ideas to make her laugh and make her forget her troubles. She suspects that he extended his benevolence to her out of guilt for what his father did to her, but she always appreciated his constant attempt to render her days lighter and filled with laughters.
Also, she *loves* to pull all sorts of pranks on people: she lives for it, and she is extremely good at it.
Biggest secret: Her biggest secret is not truly one per se, but rather her biggest shame: while she bears her mother’s name, she has no memory of her at all. As Damh himself would put it “The Feywild makes you forget, and soonern rather than later, all your memories are lost into the mist of time”. And this was exactly what happened to her. She also feels her mind doesn’t work as it should, after the long years she spent in the Feywild under Oberon’s influence and she does her best to hide this behind her eccentric behaviour, albeit, sometimes, she feels herself slipping more into insanity.
Obsession: Getting back her name and her mental sanity. She wants to be able to feel whole again, to not feel fragmented, to be able to recognize what it’s real and what it’s not, what is and not broken in half anymore. She doesn’t know if she will ever be able to obtain the latter, but she knows that only by getting back the former, she will have the confirmation to her doubts.

Omg am dead and I finally managed to finish Hiraeth's bio FML.
I am so happy to be able to post this on the day that I finished the gameplay as wel, it was so emotional.

3 and 12 from the Dark Urge ask game: post-epilogue edition for Bunny?
3: How's shit with their LI going? Did they have one? Is it going well even after the post-epilogue party? What's the vibe here? Did they maybe even find a new partner?
Buns and Lae are out here being the Astral Plane's top power couple. this is terrifying for basically everyone else. Bunny is going to eat Vlaakith to gain her power for Lae'zel's honor.
12: How exactly does loosing Bhaals essence impact a being created by him? We holding up well or barely scraping by?
the thing about Bunny is that they are a full exarch of Bhaal, created by accident when he got murderized. which means getting castrated sorry was not great for them! it's not really something that SHOULD be able to happen but... well, a Withers did it.
planning to steal Vlaakith's semi-divinity is honestly a great call for Bunny to sustain themself as a semi-divine being by nature.
and then there's the timelines where Bunny goes uno-reverse and becomes Bhaal...

My original plan for Hold Every Memory was not quite as fluffy; the kids couldn't follow Don into the astral plane, and had to take the whole 'extradimensional uncles their turtle dad talks to in his head' thing on faith.
Here's a scene I'd written and discarded a long time ago which would have been the opening scene to the original story about the kids and their antics, if I'd kept going that route. Note that they call Don 'Tad' here, which is a portmanteau of 'turtle' and 'dad', and Don's been consistently calling them by El/Dee/Lee/Angelo so that's how they think of themselves. Anyways:
A beam of bright light flared to life in the pitch-black room. It wavered for a moment before moving to illuminate a small face from beneath, looking appropriately grotesque cast by such gnarled shadows. "I must tell you the dark secrets I've learned, brothers."
El and Angelo shivered together. Lee, curled up next to them with his head in his palm, looked downright bored.
The flashlight beam turned to illuminate a chart up on the wall. It was covered in arrows and hastily scribbled lists. Dates. Question marks.
"It all began the night of February twenty-second, when dear Ellie woke up from a deep sleep to witness a figure leaning over his bed! Frozen with fear, he could do naught but watch as the figure slipped something from underneath his pillow, returning only a second later to instead deposit something in its place.
"When he woke in the morning, he discovered that his tooth had indeed been exchanged for a quarter, as the legends had foretold. But! When he came into my room that next morning, his story was not one of 'Tinkerbell' or 'Fairy Godmother'. Say it once for the group, Ellie: Who did you see that night?"
The flashlight swung around until it was shoved up under El's chin like a microphone, shining directly into his eyes. El blinked rapidly. "Uh... it was Tad."
"Tad! Scoff! Last I checked, Tad did not have fairy wings. Tad did not fly with fairy dust."
"I could- I could draw him with wings. I could make a Tad-fairy," Angie murmured, drumming his little fingers on El's arm.
"Ellie was convinced that the so-called 'tooth fairy' must take on the form of one's most beloved authority figures, possibly as a way to slip in and out of houses undetected. I, however, was not so convinced! For nearly a year since, I've been observing and recording every instance wherein a beloved children's fantasy figure purportedly arrives in the sewers to give good little turtles 'gifts' or otherwise provide an enriching experience. After collecting the data, I have come to one conclusion:
"There is no 'tooth fairy!'" Everyone gasped, except Lee who sighed and rolled his eyes. "In fact, there is no 'Easter bunny,' no 'Santa Claus,' and no 'Uncles'. All of them are fictitious figures, meant to pacify and misdirect us!"
Dee began pointing around the room at each of his brothers in turn.
"Those skateboards from Santa? Bought by Papa on an excursion he claimed was for 'fur care products'! That paint set from Uncle Mike? Father purchased it on his way to or from his weekly errands on November Sixteenth. The stickers you have on your helmet that came in those easter eggs? Both Father and Papa spent over two hours silently placing plastic eggs around the Lair when they believed us all to be asleep, the night of our big Lou Jitsu marathon extravaganza!
I have collected a list of other figures I highly suspect to be fictional, although confirming it may prove more difficult. The Queen of England, Gritty, and Lady Gaga currently top said list."
Dee flicked the flashlight off and the overhead light back on, casting stars across everyone's vision.
"You may applaud now."
El clapped twice. Angie sniffled, looking like his entire world had just burned down around his ears.
Lee waved a hand. "Good job or whatever. Very smart. Much science."
Dee rolled his eyes, placing the flashlight down on the bed next to him and folding his arms in front of his chest. "You're just salty that I cracked the case."
"Ha! As if. If you had asked me half a year ago, I could have told you all of this stuff, and in like two sentences, too."
"You can't possibly be suggesting that you knew all of this before I did."
"Uh, yeah? I just asked."
Dee stared off into space for a moment. "...you just asked."
"Yep! And Tad was like, 'you're right, but they're a standard part of the American child experience, blah blah blah we were gonna tell you guys when you were all ready...'"
"I can't believe I spent literal days graphing everyone's schedules down to the minute, placing secret cameras, hacking our bank details, building tracking devices-"
El bristled. "What? Dee!"
"...but the Uncles are real. Supposedly." Lee shrugged and looked away.
...
Dee frowned. "Leon, the only person who ever 'sees' them is Father, who claims that they visit inside his head from some other dimension! Occam's razor states that the explanation requiring the fewest assumptions is usually the correct one - wouldn't a simple 'it's all in his imagination' be applicable here?"
"I'm not saying I think they're real. I'm saying that Tad said to me that they're real."
"Tad's not imagining them," El interrupted firmly. "If Tad says they're real, then I believe him."
"Me too!" Angie chimed in.
"But you believe me about the tooth fairy and the easter bunny?"
El patted him on the head. "Yes, Dee. You did a great job! I liked the flashlight."
Dee humphed. "Thank you. I'm glad someone appreciated the artistry involved in presenting research data in an engaging and interactive fashion."
"...but we are gonna have a talk about the trackers. And the hacking."
"I'm sorry, you seem to be cutting out. Please attempt to reconnect this call at another time."
El dumped Angie gently out of his arms and onto the bed so he could give Dee a noogie. He squawked.

heyooo tell me about the chamaeleon three!
Gladly! Luckily I've updated their designs already too ^_^
Tumblr media
The Chamaeleon Three are a group of “teenage hoodlum” types to challenge Cassie’s quest to restore order between Earth and the Astral Plane. As the story progresses, the imbalance of the spirit world gets stronger as Cassie’s powers do, so the spirits that appear on Earth become more tangible, meaning that more people other than Cassie can see and interact with them over time. The trade-off is they then pose a larger threat to regular people, and that’s where these three come in!
It occurred to me that some of the more troublesome spirits would relish the opportunity to mess with the living world, even withstanding corruption by Void magic, especially after hearing that the Starglass is Cassie, not some kind of iron-clad warrior or another type of powerful figure like they expected. They quickly start wreaking havoc on the town and frame her for it whenever they can. Circumstances aren't exactly great on the Astral Plane as it is, so many also see it as a manner of escape from it, no matter how temporary.
Though they didn't initially choose to be corrupted by Void magic (it happened accidentally for them), they quickly made the most of their situation with anarchy and mischief once they did arrive on Earth. These three learn pretty quickly not to underestimate our little star hero, but still pose a threat that Cassie can’t face on her own, at least not initially.
So in order to catch these three and return them home, Cassie and her friends/family have to get creative to outsmart them or otherwise confront them in different ways, and I think this’ll be a good way to showcase the Earth squad’s differences in personality and resourcefulness, as well as spice up the spirit encounters in general. Here are descriptions for each of them :)
Lynx The tough guy of the three, with an equally brash personality to match. Despite the group's name, he thinks of himself as the leader and is imposing like one. He is never the one actually calling the shots though, as he lacks the brains for strategy. He greatly prefers brute forcing a problem or charging head-first into anything that's in his way.
Lynx is frequently a bully to Lepus for a predator-prey sort of dynamic, though he is easily shut down by Chamaeleon whenever he goes too far or loses focus. He’s usually the one to get caught the most when plans go awry, as he lacks Lepus’s agility and Chamaeleon's camouflage when escaping, but he’s the most capable fighter of the three simply by virtue of being a massive wild cat. You don’t want to mess with those teeth and claws!
He’s a cocky spitfire, known for constantly picking fights and riling things up, often to an extreme degree and at the detriment of himself and/or his group members. He's the type who would mock you for refusing to fight, and then call you a hypocrite for getting angry at him for mocking you. But, his overconfidence speaks to an underlying insecurity, which makes him prone to emotional vulnerability. He will aggressively defend himself should he ever be questioned, which usually leads him to picking fights that he can't win, and he switches between his confident and cowardly sides quite frequently.
While he’s already got a pretty stocky build and his stature isn't just for show, his cape and jacket are meant to make him look even bigger and more important, so you know he’s compensating for something, even if he’d never admit it. Being the (almost) leader of the group gives him a sense of power over others, whether it is warranted or not.
Lepus Probably best described as the cowardly lackey of the group, though not by his own choice. He hates being viewed with a bunny’s inherent cuteness, seeing it as a sign of weakness instead. This can sometimes give him an impulsive need to prove himself, and it typically ends poorly. He has, however, adapted to use it to his advantage.
He’s the type of character who will play to your sympathy and beg you to help him when he’s cornered, only to turn on you as soon as he’s in the clear. That said, he'd be the least likely of the three to become a villain under normal circumstances, if he felt he had a choice in the matter. But alas, history has taught him that he has to be this way to survive at all. He sees this group as all he has, believing that no one would befriend him otherwise, even if they don’t really act much like friends outside of their shared love for mischief and chaos. Though it angers and upsets him, he's used to staying quiet about things that truly bother him to keep the peace or avoid getting yelled at.
As you might expect from a rabbit, he’s got big jumps and swift kicks, and makes up for his lack of physical strength with agility. He’s based on a black-tailed jackrabbit specifically for the long, spindly legs and large ear-to-head ratio. His big ears make him the recon/lookout of the group most of the time, and is the quickest to flee when a plan goes pear-shaped, making it difficult to catch all three of them at once.
If given the choice, Lepus would much rather be an explorer or spelunker, using his quick feet and keen hearing for something more productive. His love of chaos is actually more of a love for adventure and spontaneity, but he found the wrong outlet for it.
Chamaeleon The true leader of the group, hence the name. She goes by Mae for short, but only to those she allows to call her that. Despite her aloof and quiet nature overall, Chamaeleon is the sharpest of the three, and can shut down Lynx’s boisterous attitude or Lepus's shaking cowardice with only a stern look or a blunt word. She’s the brains of the operation, keeps a cool head, and is difficult to outsmart.
She’s even harder to catch with her camouflage, though you’ll know where she’s been with her tags. Being a graffiti artist, she has her spray gun and cans to quickly paint anything she desires, or spray someone else if she's really desperate. Similar to the paint itself, I'd imagine her markings could glow in the dark when she’s not hiding, though she can negate this glow to hide completely when necessary.
Though she’d never show it, Chamaeleon is actually the one who relies on the group dynamic the most. She doesn’t like being apart from them, even if she bullies them when they’re together, and usually favours plans that don’t involve splitting up. In better circumstances she’d probably be the “older sister” type to the other two, looking out for them and making sure they don’t get hurt, but her short fuse and lack of patience doesn't currently lend itself to that kind of dynamic. She is actively mean to them most of the time, though that is often eclipsed by Lynx's louder and more outward type of aggression.
------ So you may be wondering, why did I choose these three to form a group when their constellations normally have nothing to do with each other? Well, that's sort of the point! As you may have noticed, these three don't really get along with each other very well and are dysfunctional as a group, and this is what ultimately leads to their downfall. Their dynamic is meant to be an opposite to the one Cassie has with Demitri, Ellie, and Leena, who are able to work together well despite their individual differences.
After the Chamaeleon Three are returned to the Astral Plane, I plan to explore what happens to them afterwards in a side story that shows the core problems with their group and what they each do about it, but the first part of their arc will be shown in the main story at least.

My mutuals have been chattering about BG3 recently, and after paging through a few walkthroughs -and as a disclaimer, I still know almost NOTHING about D&D lore as a whole- I have been struck by the increasingly strong urge to write a RWBY crossover fanfic.
Because, like, the whole shtick with BG3's intro/plot hook is that the astral-plane-traveling bad guys have kidnapped a number of people and shoved transformative tadpoles into their brains, but the player character crashed their ship and now we all have to find a cure for the malfunctioning but still parasitic and dangerous tadpoles in our heads.
And the thing is, that could so easily include someone from RWBY. The ship passed by during its wild flight and yoinked somebody/some people out of the dimension of Remnant, because reasons, and now the RWBY character(s) have to deal with the BG3 plot. It's really tempting because flinging literally any of the RWBY main cast (I'm thinking at the current point in the timeline) into the original party would be such a delicious culture clash.
They hate/don't trust gods on principle, so dealing with Shadowheart/Gale/Lae'zel's religious issues would be a delight to witness and probably involve at least attempted deicide. The fundamental aspect of being a Huntsman/Huntress is continuously risking your life to protect strangers, so Karlach/Astarion/Wyll would get no further than "I'm sad because abuse/mistreatment/manipulation :(" before weapons would be drawn and a hitlist planned in beautiful detail. The Grove would be saved in record time because defending villages is, again, literally in the Huntsman/Huntress job description.
And even on the RWBY folks' end, it'd be fun to mess with because what do you mean magic is a super common normal thing? What do you mean trained warriors can't soak up hits due to their personal spiritual forcefield? What do you mean there are species beyond human and human-with-one-animal-feature walking around? What do you mean you guys don't have high-tech guns? What do you mean your world isn't overrun by perpetual hordes of monsters?
The plot bunny is itching at my brain.

Super Lesbian Animal RPG - Review
"women pr-pretty" the game
Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a very charming RPG maker game I had the pleasure to know about as soon as it came out.
Tumblr media
The setting is a world where anthropomorphic animals exist with magic and with modern advances in technology, more specifically though, the story is set on the Sapphire islands.
You follow Melody, a young pink fox trans girl, who just joined a guild with her childhood friend and just recently girlfriend, a hyperactive bunny named Allison, alongside 2 other friends, an absolutely shredded tiger named Jodie, and an overly curious cow who dedicates all of her free time to study magic, Claire, who is also trans.
Melody and Allison joined Claire's guild, The Novas, despite not being capable of using magic, but Claire was prepared for that, she made a ritual she found in a book that would let them use magic.
After starting it they are transported into some sort of astral plane, and Melody is told to pick between 3 doors, which will determine what type of healer she wants to be, something she wanted to be to support Allison as much as she could.
Tumblr media
After the ritual is done and some days pass, they are ready to start guild duties, but first Melody and Allison need to go through a made-up dungeon Claire prepared for them in Allison's basement (against her will).
Here is where the adventure starts and hijinks immediately ensue.
The plot honestly surprised me at various turns, it deals with numerous subjects in a tasteful way, and honestly, I don't want to say much about it to avoid spoilers, there's some surprises I don't want to ruin.
I do want to mention the characters though, simply put, I love them all.
Their interactions feel very organic and they are genuinely funny, the characterization is very well done, each character is very unique and have their own arc to go through, even the antagonist side gets to have interactions.
I especially like Claire and her honest to god chaotic aura, I just vibe with her.
Tumblr media
Also, have I mentioned the vast amounts of lesbian relationships? I just feel so seen, it's so refreshing to see actual queer characters and relationships created by a queer person, it's as good as I hoped it would be, and I hope it's the start of me coming across more queer RPGs.
Now I want to talk about the actual gameplay, I don't want to give too much away about the characters either.
The combat is turn-based, like you would expect from an RPG maker game, but it's got a neat gimmick, every action a character does that aligns with their role will generate star power.
Tumblr media
Each characters has unique skills that use up star power which are very useful, the ones I used the most were Claire's magic that hits every enemy and Allison's directional attacks, which is quite interesting, every enemy has a directional weakness besides their elemental ones.
The flow of battle is a blend between building star power and deciding the right moment to use it, while also managing everyone's health because enemies do quite some damage, it's a satisfying combat system despite being relatively simple.
The exploration is also very solid, for starters, there's no random battles, you instead start battle by making contact with enemies on screen, they also don't respawn unless you leave the dungeon, which makes exploring easier.
The dungeons are nice to explore, they have light puzzle elements and are not very long, they are just very well made.
Another thing that makes them work for me is that throughout the dungeons, the party will engage in conversations, making the whole experience more engaging in my opinion.
The game also has a number of optional sidequests that are very worth going through, some rewarding you with some very good equipment.
It's also incredibly pretty and has an amazing soundtrack to go with it, I just can't give enough compliments to the game.
Tumblr media
And that's all I can say about this game for now, I can't really go into much detail without entering in spoiler talk or dissecting every part of the game, which I don't want to do, I really want people to enjoy the game as blindly as possible, it's very funny, charming and honestly it will stick me.
I really want to play it again after a while and try a different sub-class for Melody, and also the game is still getting some minor updates, so I am excited to see what the dev thinks of doing.
So in short, game good, woman pretty, be gay and kiss your girlfriend.

hi!
starting with this issue haha *snaps fingers*
in fact the first app i tried to use was notion because i saw a lot of people on youtube saying that it helped them to get organized (but my account in the app got closed which frustrated me a bit)
I realized that I am not a person of too much order and notion was very methodical and I was overwhelmed, although it is actually a good app and I started it again with a little more calm (between online)
I found milanote because it sponsored a booktuber that I see (XD) and I started using it. It really helps me, I can put the notes I need, reminders with color, mind maps, reference images, I can change the color of the notes and the background. I'm not good at explaining and to keep things short I can only say that milanote is my organizer app (although it has little space for free and I can't have the paid one).
Another question, what kind of music do you listen to write? Right now I'm listening to Melanie Martinez as I write that (I love that woman) and some audio edits.
As for the guys and the powers.
Hiccup of course has the powers of fire but I was also thinking about linking with animals, for all the linking with dragons, for a moment I thought about putting it for rapunzel but I already have her defined and I can't think of this for merida then he stays with hiccup. For example, if they are in a wild place, he can have some communication (or understanding) with the animals and avoid problems with the most dangerous ones or ask for some kind of help (also I like that detail of the connection he has with toothless that can understand him). Moving on to the fire powers, I feel that for that reason, Stoick would send him to the forge with gobber, both to help gobber and hiccup learn and to develop his power, although he would also use inferno to not depend so much on his power ( that's what I feel).
Rapunzel: she has this whole healing thing, I once read in an HP AU that witches carry their hair up and take great care of it because that's where they store/channel most of their power.
I would put something similar to her, but with some changes, for example, she has a core where she has her healing power, but she channels it into her hair (that's why she would be so strong and would keep it tied in the braid from the movie haha ) but, since hair is a weak point and can be easy to cut (Eugene showed us that) she can use her power without having to channel it into (forgive the redundancy) her hair. Also, I feel like she would be very sensitive to magic and this whole astral plane thing (I was inspired by Dr. Strange to be honest) so it would be a useful skill on the battlefield, when she's blind she can feel the astral form of their enemies (or the aura, but I have this in doubt xd) and know their location.
Jack is a whole thing in my head. For example, the way he got his powers, I even told him the story of how he got them LOL (I can tell you about that in another note if you need more context). The thing is that, based on that, in addition to having his winter powers, Jack is able to move water (or liquids) to turn them into ice or snow (which would be, convert it to be able to manipulate it) also, as in the movie With the bunny he makes in Jaime's room, he could make animated ice figures, things he could handle/control/bring to life (something like the snow monster in Elsa's castle?)
This is where it gets complicated because, the "extra" (to give it a name), that I wanted to include in Jack, is that he possesses magic, we could call it "pure magic", and it was this that saved Jack from dying. drowned and gave him his ice powers.
And it's all I've got, I haven't been able to develop Merida well and I'm still in doubt about what to include in Jack of the ideas that I already mentioned.
any suggestions?
—🥀🦋
hello again 🥀🦋!
oh awesome i'm glad milanote works for you! yeah notion can be pretty complicated if you can't find the right templates or want to make your own setup and can't figure it out, so if milanote is what you find most helpful you should stick with it! i just got back into notion again recently because i Really need to be outlining and found having some organization way more helpful than 5 different google docs 😭
i listen to different stuff depending on what i'm writing, like i have different playlists for each of my fics and original projects so i put one of those on while working, but sometimes i just have a single song i'm really into and i'll put that on repeat! typically if i post some art where the caption is a line of lyrics then that's probably what i was listening to over the couple hours of drawing LMAO
yeah i do get that for hiccup! my personal interpretation is that i avoid giving animal powers to hiccup because i like him learning that empathy with them and dragons as a skill he has to develop as opposed to an inherent power he's born with or given, BUT again that's just how i think of it and that doesn't mean no one can do it! in an au with powers then him having a kind of mental link to toothless is really cool!
no that's a really cool idea for rapunzel! magic being stored in hair also reminds me of the comic witchy which utilizes a similar concept. the astral plane stuff is also cool, if you're thinking of having rapunzel have a sort of magical core then maybe she can sense that sort of thing in other people?
pure magic could even be man in the moon related! maybe it comes from him or is somehow otherwise related to him? and the water manipulation makes a lot of canon sense too, we see him creating frost and the like so it would track that he could do that to a larger degree, maybe not exactly water bending level but you know HAHA
oo i mean if you did go the route of having the pure magic be manny related, then him having "absorbed" that power could maybe make him susceptible to absorbing other power's like pitch's?
i hope something in here could be helpful? sorry i have no ideas with merida 😭

2, 10, 24, and 25 for the OC asks :3
THANK YOU FOR ASKING 2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs? Probably Blake at this Moment! Blake is my Half-Minotaur OC because basically all my fuckin OC's are/were D&D characters. She's my 7'6" stronk farm gal and I love her dearly, and like now she has multiple continuity's because I wanted her in more stuff. She's a herbo and like i just love her very much 10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design? Ooooo, My Monstersona Meduka! She's got Pink/Magenta skin mostly, except for her forearms which are scaly and pale cyan. She's got four hands, but two of them aren't attached, they just float around her. Those ones have human skin, and she's very dodgy on if they actually are hers (they are, the ones that are attached are actually the ones that aren't). The ones attached to her arms are webbed, and designed for the water. She has Magenta Irises, and Yellow scleras. She wears a sweater dress with a heart shaped tiddy window, and a heart choker. She has purple and white tentacles for hair that hang down to right above her shoulders. I honestly wanna make more stuff with her because like she was from when I was big into reclamation of monstrous imagery, and like honestly I wanna get back into that shit. 24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why? Toughie, but I'd say either Blake or Full Screen (she's the TV headed one with the yellow jacket and black pants). Blake (specifically Blake Prime because like at this point she's basically an imaginary friend) I'd wanna see because she's just like. Really sweet, and gives the best hugs in the universe. Plus like. I can have little a simpage, as a treat. Full Screen I'd wanna meet because like she'd probably be the most interesting of my OC's to talk to, like with her experience as a shape shifting swarm of nanobot's from a cyberpunk dystopia who then like found a weird portal to like the astral plane but for the internet but also like physical and real. Plus she'd probably share some nanobots with me so I could shapeshift too. 25. The OC that resembles you the most (same hobby, height, shared like/dislike for something etc?) The cheat but technically , Super ancient OC, like my fifth art I ever posted on Tumblr old, Faeth, who was just 15 year old me with goop based superpowers, but like I said a cheat answer. (So is Faith the wizard, and I also count Iuna as a cheat answer too) As far as not just "Me But..." answers, probably Lavender the Bunny clown as far as personality goes, she just like is me by 20% more clown and a bnnuy. As far as physical appearance I'd say Brya my old succubus OC since she was pretty much my body but like had pink skin, blue hair, a tail and four eyes. Which like on paper is a a lot, but like, whatever. BUT YES, THOSE ARE MY OC'S SORRY FOR WRITING A GOTDAMN ESSAY
