I have prosopagnosia and I worry A LOT about my inability to draw different faces and how I struggle with expressing the right emotion, both in art and in real life. I admire diverse art styles so much because they act like flashcards to help me remember these facial cues, yknow? Seeing it overexaggerated helps me break apart and analyze my mental limitations, so I can get better at coping, or like.. at least be able to still draw endearing characters even if I can’t recognise my own best friend in real life. And man like I still feel guilty and uncreative and awful even though I know this thing is Marginally More Difficult For Me, like i’m STILL being lazy and going with the easier sameface, even if i have like.. more demotivating reason to find it easier, I guess...

So umm, sorry for the rambling comment!! But basically this tutorial is REALLY HELPFUL! I’ve tried so many over the years and this is the first one that made me understand the principles behind how to adjust different things, and what sort of emotion they’d evoke in the audience. Usually i just end up coping the tutorial’s faces and adding them to my bank of memorization, which really doesn’t help at all. Its like how I memorize all the flashcards and then I’m screwed when someone is showing like... sadness but slightly less so, both scared and determined, or any of the variety of real emotions humanity has outside of basic children’s lessons, lol.

So..umm.. thank you!! And sorry for being bad at explaining why i’m so grateful, but I really really am!! I’m gonna study your tutorials so damn much, you artistic genius!!

I have been diagnosed with ADD but a lot of these things apply to me. I’m well aware that ADD and ADHD are different disorders but how related are they?

they’re not different disorders. in the DSM-IV, the newest diagnosis manual, they’ve both just been merged under ADHD as adhd inattentive type, adhd hyperactive type and adhd combined type.

No one cared when people were being killed in the streets in Venezuela for protesting their government but everyone cares when a group of people tries taking down a horrible socialist dictatorship just because the opposition is right wing and supported by the US. People don’t care about Venezuelans, all they care about is their perfect world where socialism always works
