"My clingy little baby," you mutter after a while, smiling to yourself. "Shut up."

He couldn't help that you were so warm and comfy.

"Hey [Name], can you grab my shirt?" Beerus half-heartedly mumbled, lazily pointing in a direction. "That's my shirt." "Same difference, I wear it more than you do anymore. Grab it, please. I want it," he whined with grabby hands.

At some point, he finally decides to wake up...

You don't question his clingy-ness, usually, when you leave for your job for a while, he's extra clingy when you come back.

But you jump when his stationary hands begin to move.

"Beerus! D-don't do that when I have a knife in my hand."

"Lose it, then," he purrs.

Later that day, after those activities and lunch, Whis approaches you both in the woods.

You hardly looked over from Beerus's lap and he didn't bother to open his eyes from their relaxed state.

"Yes, Whis?"

"It seems Bulma has invited us to try Earth delicacies again. Would you like to accept her invitation?"

"Depends on what it is."

It was a good enough offer for Beerus to go.

Well, that, and you mentioned a curiosity about Earth food.

Beerus told you about it the whole way, quite pleased to feel like an expert.

Although the meeting was a little awkward.

Upon arriving, Beerus and Whis went ahead.

And when you caught up with them, you met eyes with Goku first.

Considering the last time you met, you weren't surprised he was suddenly tense.

Which made his other friends tense, one even rose their power level a bit.

Which made you laugh, loudly, "How adorable."

"L-Lord [Name]!"

You titled your head at the Saiyan a little shorter than him, "Ah, you know my commonly known title, young Saiyan?"

"Lord Beerus, look behind you!"

"You idiots, he's not a threat. He's with me!"

"I will not hurt you, earthlings, not unless you give me a reason to—Now, where is this pudding, Beerus spoke of?"

You tried a few dishes of Earth, though your speed of eating was much slower than the other non-humans. You preferred to savor your food.

And because Beerus kept feeding you some of his food.

"Here, try this, [Name]," he offered a...something.

"Sweetheart, let me try one thing at a time, okay?" but because you were whipped, you opened your mouth to try it.

"'Sweetheart'? Lord Beerus, I didn't know were with someone," Bulma hummed as she brought more food.

"Why do you sound like you're in such disbelief?!" Beerus growled.

"Wait-you both are together?"

"Goku, who asked you to snoop into our conversation?" Bulma barked across the room.

And after that...all hell broke loose.

"How did you guys...?" "When did you guys...?"

Beerus just yawned.

"I don't see Beerus being the date type."

"What even is a date?" He asked you. A shrug.

Cue the gasps from the ones who cared And now they were planning a date, great.

While they were busy planning some date, Beerus dozed off of you while you read a book.

It was peaceful until voices started to rise.

"You can't just ask the God of Life to spar with you, Kakarot!"

"But you said he's more powerful than Lord Beerus! I want to see that power for myself!" he whined.

"All you men want to do is fight!"

"But it'd be so cool!"

Your gaze flickered down when Beerus shifted, then up to the group ahead of you.

"Hey."

Their heads snapped over to you, the calmest voice of all, yet the most intimidating.

"Beerus is taking a nap. Stop all that yelling for no reason. If you wake him up I'm going to be pissed. And you don't want that. Even Beerus couldn't stop me if that happened."

"Someone's protective," Whis teased behind a hand.

"S-shut up," you scoffed, focusing on your book again.

TOOK SO DAMN LONG SINCE I WANTED TO DRAW A STEP ONE REF OF EVE BUT ITS GONNA TAKE A MINUTE so here are the sketches,,, Anyways- gonna introduce the main two mcs/ocs you'll see here: Eve Cortez Williams and Aaliyah Dubious

(dont mind my ipad scribbles on the screenshot iofqiowogi) Lemme put this under a readmore actually so yall dont get slammed with a long ass post:

Starting with Eve:

He's my Tamarack MC, but I figured since uh. all my art that was a given

He has a strained relationship with Qiu in step 1 but they become besties by step 2 and by step 3, they are like family to each other. If no one got Eve, Eve knows Qiu got them, amen 🙏

He comes out as transmasc by step 2, and by step 3 he gets top surgery and starts taking testosterone and firmly identifies as a butch lesbian

He's from the southern part of Miami, Florida. He's Golden Grove's residential florida man

He practices martial arts religiously, he's a big fan of Goku and Dragonball in general so he wants to be like his idol

His story deviates a bit from the OL2 generic mc story, he did have a dad! Opal and his dad wanted a kid but they both didn't want to get married and since the two of them were best friends, they decided to have a kid together (or well two but we'll talk about that later)

What's important to note from above is that his dad isn't around anymore because his father passed away a few months ago due to a car accident and Eve was hospitalized as a result

So by the time he's at Golden Grove, he's in anger stages of his grief and he doesn't want to be bothered. Which sucks cause hes neighbors with the two loudest kids on the block

Doesn't help he's a ESL speaker (English as a Second Language) and Golden Grove's population is majorly white so he has even harder of a time adjusting to it

He gets into fights in step 1... a Lot. Someone will look at him funny and they'll get punched in the face

He does adjust but he still doesn't like Golden Grove by step 3 but funnily enough, he moves away at the end of step 3 for treatment but moves back in step 4, crazy how that shit works huh

He has two emotional support bunnies; Bulma and Chi-Chi! He gets them in step 2, Qiu and Eve bond over them LMFAO

As for Aaliyah:

She's my Qiu MC, to the shocker of no one. Tamarack is also her best friend <3

Aaliyah is from New Orleans, Louisiana! She's full blooded Haitian and she has family in Haiti

She's also transfem! She passes for cis in step 1 thanks to hormone blockers and some makeup and then starts taking estrogen in step 2 and onwards

Her being black and transfemme is integral to her character and how she navigates around Golden Grove, she doesn't tell anyone she's trans until near the end of step 1. By step 3, the girl gang and Qiu knows shes trans

^^ That's because she had a very negative experience coming out to her community who previously loved her but flipped on her just as fast

So moving to Golden Grove was supposed to be a fresh start for her as herself but by that point she feels like she has to keep up her "cis-sona" lest she gets bullied again

She still gets bullied for other reasons in step 2 though (being a pretty black girl and the one person who has a crush on her is the most popular kid in school... its rough! 😭)

By step 4 though she is proud to call herself trans and will let people know!

She lovessss animals! And the animals love her back! She feeds them all the time and keeps animal food on her for that purpose when she goes to the park to read by herself, she got a flock of crows and stray cats that like to follow her

She has a cat named Kiki!!! Kiki loves everyone except Qiu though, Aaliyah doesnt know that though-

ya honestly i really really like the idea of vegeta and goku both being women but vegeta is trans and goku is cis..theyre both still married to chi chi and bulma and use he/him but they are definitely both women and they are definitely both lesbians <3 if u also like kakavege then this still works, polyam shipping or otherwise co-parenting for both of them

with vegeta specifically i think everything would be the same except while he was in the frieza force he'd begrudgingly take frieza/the ginyu force's freely-provided estrogen. bc while frieza absolutely sucks as a person he also wants his soldiers to be in tip-top health and that includes gender-affirming care LOL (based off the fact the ginyu force is so canonically good about members who are pregnant)

as for when vegeta is on earth, i 100% believe bulma provides his estrogen or even invents a way for him to have permanent estrogen production bc shes bulma and she can do that. Anything with Piccolo. I HC him as ace so I honestly don't care for any shipping with him.

I absolutely detest Trunks with Mai and it has 100% to do with the age difference and when the romance started. I don't mind future Trunks and Mai, he was already an adult when they met so whatever, but present Trunks is still a minor and I hate that he's being paired with her canonically.

Here comes the most controversial: Bulma and Goku. Now, I love the throuple vibes between them and Vegeta, but it's mostly just Vegeta being with them and Bulma and Goku just kinda sharing him but not being together themselves. The main reason i hate this is because she was one of the people who raised Goku. They have the same relationship as siblings in a found family and that's enough for it to have incest vibes to me. It's weird, I don't like it, and that's also why I had such a hard time shipping Cheelai with Broly. It felt like it was going to go down the same found family trope and idk, it's just weird to me 😅

But ofc, you do you! I'm not going to like condemn anyone for these ships. I think that some of the Piccolo art with Janet (I think that's the teacher's name) is actually really cute, and Bulma did canonically see Goku as a man after that 4-year separation in DB, which could've sparked something in a different timeline 🤷🏽‍♀️ point to all this is that some shippings are weird to me and give me icky vibes, but it's not like... He’d crashed into her backyard without any grace or warning, making the windows and dishes tremble as Y/N jumped out of her couch, her laptop nearly clattering to the floor as she ran to grab a knife from the kitchen and hide—she’d known it was only a matter of time until one of those crazy alien dictators Goku loved to antagonize would come for her.

She ran upstairs and into her bedroom, locking the door behind her and grabbing her phone. Immediately, she speed dialed Bulma, crouching by the window, hesitantly wanting to get a peek.

“Y/N—thank god, I was just about to call you!”

“Something just crashed in my backyard,” she reported in a hushed, urgent voice, “Get one of the Saiyans or something, it sounded really—!”

“That’s what I was going to call you about,” Bulma suddenly said, voice overtaking Y/N’s even through the phone, “It’s Broly! He was totally crazy during his training with Goku then flew away!”

Y/N frowned. Broly?

She looked over the windowsill, and the alarm that had gripped her heart released at the sight of a familiar bright green pelt. With a heaving sigh, she let her knife clatter to the ground, laughing uneasily.

“Oh, oh my gosh, it’s just Broly, of course—I’m so ridiculous, of course it’d be one of the guys! Sorry for wasting your time Bulma.”

“No, wait—!”

She flipped her phone shut and tossed it onto her bed, looking through the window. Her relief faded into worry the longer she looked at him. He was tense all over, she could even tell from her distance. He’d seemed to be shrinking himself—she couldn’t be too sure without her glasses, but he looked like he was curled into a ball.

She let out a sigh, remembering what Bulma had said.

Training with Goku, huh?

After getting her glasses, she made her way through the kitchen to go to Broly in the backyard.

It didn’t take long for Y/N to be able to sense something was wrong when Broly didn’t acknowledge her as she stepped on the grass. His shoulders relaxed slightly, but he didn’t look up. He was tight. Frozen. The air around him was rigid; and it admittedly gave Y/N a bit of a scare, although his hair wasn’t bright green which was a good sign.

Slowly, she took a seat in the grass in front of him, eyeing him cautiously.

"Broly?"

He stayed quiet. Y/N sighed, reaching out and gently running her fingers through his hair. He jerked up slightly, muttering, and Y/N jumped slightly in response.

"Uhm, Broly?"

"Y/N..."

The soft, low rumbling of his voice eased the worry that had constricted Y/N's shoulders, and she scooted closer, cupping his face in her hands. She tried to get him to sit up, but he resisted.

"Broly, look at me," she encouraged gently, "Honey, are you alright?"

She rested Broly's head in her lap and quickly felt how his face was contorted, how his irregular breathing fluttered the cotton of her skirt and hummed sympathetically in realization.

"Sparring got a bit too heavy for you?"

He didn't speak, but wrapped his arms around her hips, pulling himself closer. She kept stroking his hair, heart breaking at the sight of him in such a reduced state. Whenever she looked at him, she could never imagine anyone standing up to Broly, let alone hurt him to this point. He was always so strong, so good, so gentle. The thought of anyone hurting his heart in such a way filled her with such rage and grief it overwhelmed her.

"He's gone, Broly. He can't hurt you," she soothed, "Me, Goku--all of us, we've got your back. You're never going to be on your own again. I promise."

Droplets fell from her eyes onto her fingers as she felt his hold loosen.

"You can trust us," she assured softly, "You can trust us."

She added, with a half-hearted smile, "Even Vegeta."

His face had relaxed against her, and she let out a trembling sigh, biting her lip.

"Yeah, that's it, honey, come back to me. Come back here; I got you."

She cupped his face again, and this time he sat up, meeting her eyes hesitantly.

"I'm sorry," he apologized weakly, "I made you sad."

She shook her head profusely. "No, no, never. I'm here for you. It just...breaks my heart when I think of your heart being broken."

He sat up fully, and Y/N quickly found herself pulled into his firm embrace.

"I'm sorry. I want you to be happy...what will make you happy again?"

She laughed softly. "If you can smile for me, I can smile for you."

Pulling back, Y/N took his face in her hands again, searching his eyes.

"We'll get through this, okay?"

She rose her eyebrows, giving a little smile. Broly stared at the curve of her lips, leaning towards her slightly, but Y/N pulled back.

"Give me a smile, and I'll give you a kiss."

She kissed his nose with a growing smile, then his cheek, then one of his eyelids, then, at the sight of his lips easing into a smile, her favorite place of all.

"Better?"

He smiled again, looking at her softly. "Yes."

then there’s the freeza arc, the entire time theyre together is so… like vegeta sobbing and begging goku to finish off freeza for their people… him making himself vulnerable in that moment in fromt of GOKU of all people… moments like this where vegeta softens around goku make my heart MELT 😭 and then goku GIVES VEGETA A BURIAL.. HE DIDNT HAVE TO DO THAT 😭😭😭 not to mention when goku starts hallucinating vegeta (NAKED FOR SOME REASON??).. like out of all the things his brain couldve come up with to motivate him, he found himself thinking of vegeta…… these are the moments where goku begins to love vegeta (he just doesnt realize it yet. its those moments before u realize ur in love where ur thinking about the person often but you dont yet piece together why…)

and then in the cell arc, when goku dies and vegeta SWEARS HE WILL NEVER FIGHT AGAIN???? LIKE THIS MAKES ME SO EMOTIONAL BECAUSE GOKU DIES AND VEGETA’S FIRST REACTION IS TO BE LIKE “alright. well. i have no reason to fight anymore” LIKE FIGHTING IS EVERYTHING TO SAIYANS I CANT BELIEVE HE SAYS THIS AHDHFH

and then ofc buu arc…. the constant moments where they’re worried about each other.. every time they say each other’s names… the fucking majin vegeta fight… vegeta’s hurt at goku’s ssj3 “betrayal” … THE YOU ARE NUMBER ONE SPEECH… ALL OF IT IS SO HOMOEROTIC AND GAY ITS RIDICULOUSHAHDHF

You were thinking about your boyfriend of 3 years, Trunks again. Trunks was a gracious Hero with strong will and strong abs. Often referred to as an exact copy of his father in both good looks and personality.

You walked over to the window and reflected on your ever so familiar surroundings. You had always loved how up-tech, bulma’s Capsule Corporation with its advanced gears, and newly founded inventions was. It was a place that encouraged your tendency to feel calm.

Then you saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the tired out and bruised figure of Trunks.

You gulped and glanced at your own reflection. You were a down to earth, intuitive scientist who often worked with bulma which lead you to meeting trunks. Your friends saw you as a quiet, generous soul that when provoked could lead to a catastrophe. Once, even goku had to submit to your wrath.

But not even a down to earth person who had on multiple occasions helped save earth, was prepared for what Trunks had in store today.

The sun shone brightly, reflecting off your glass. You grabbed a nearby medkit that had been put up because of this being an everyday occurrence; you massaged it with her fingers nervously, meeting trunks outside as he approached.

As you stepped outside and Trunks came closer, you could see the sly smile on his tired face. He looked as if he had an epiphany on his short training session with gohan.

As if reading your mind he spoke up. "I came back a little earlier than usual because I had something to ask you," Trunks bellowed, in an optimistic tone. He looked deeply into your eyes as he caressed your cheek . "You know I love you, woman?"

You looked back, with a confused smile and giggled. "Trunks, we’ve been together for 3 years, of course I know" you replied. Trunk was never the type to be over affectionate and often complained when you were. (Even though he’d never admit he loved it). So this was a strange sight to see.

Trunks looked at you with an elated expression, as he moved closer to you and pecks your lips softly. He pulls away and looks straight into your eyes as he blurts out.

“Marry me y/n”

You froze at Trunks's sudden outburst as a smile slowly spreads across your face. You held out your hand. "I was going to ask you the same thing," you whispered, gently.

"Hmph, as if I’d accept it if you asked first".

"What happened to lover boy trunks? I think I like him better" you playfully smirked.

Trunks looked away as his cheeks were tinted with a slight pink, but continued with his usual gruff tone. “too bad you’ll be dealing with the real me for the rest of your life”.

You laughed and finally opened to medkit and began to dress trunks wounds “What a horrible predicament that I’ll be in for the rest of my life” you said with a smirk.

Trunks scoffs and grunts as you press an alcohol pad to his wound “you’re such a pest sometimes”

the entire set-up with the red ribbon army lore was incredibly iddy to me. outsider POV on the Z-gang, plus the entire plot being a ridiculous misunderstanding (entirely justified - Bulma is weird enough to be mistaken for an alien, no doubt)

Videl's back teaching fighting classes! pls we need real videl back and whatever they did to her over the last few years of the franchise ;_;

also the animation, I know some people bounced off the 3d but seeing it cinemas it felt very... cinematic, and epic, and overall vibes. loved the superhero aesthetic and the manga-esque text and expressions, it all felt like such a love letter to the original medium.

the villains were great, the plot was incredibly iddy, gamma 1 and 2 were SO likeable (and the sacrifice at the end really meant something) and Pan was so sweet and I loved Piccolo and Gohan, and Bulma was brilliant and and and and

I just loved it. I really, really, really loved it.

I feel that this is a fantastic reason as to why we need a slice of life series for DB. Goku has been through hell and back for and with his friends. His friends who regard him as this shining source of strength that can solve whatever problem needs fighting. How do they not keep in contact?! Krillin loves his friend to death, he cried twice at the sight of Goku showing up! Yamcha is so sweet and caring of everyone, how could he not spend quality time with one of the people who changed his life for the better! Bulma and Goku have a very close, almost sibling like relationship, and yet for some reason Goku never thought to tell her about Gohan? Or anyone for that matter?

Super had some episodes that were pretty slice of life and I really enjoyed those! Seriously, we need just moments of Goku and co in the casual moments. Show us Goku's promise to Gohan about fishing. Tien and Yamcha catching up and reminiscing about the old times and looking forward to the future! Bulma and Gohan talking science and how to improve it! show us KakaVege

It just means a lot that Goku made a family and the story makes it that he does not talk to them casually.

Today was Bulma’s birthday. It had been a year since Lord Beerus’ invasion at Bulma’s last birthday party. Everyone started returning to their daily rituals. Even Whis himself whispered a “finally” with a sly smirk before they had finally apparated into thin air. You stood back with rose colored cheeks while you watched Goku’s face disappear, he was smiling from ear to ear and his aura was glowing.

Back to present day, you and Goku had been seeing each other. You had decided not to rush into things especially since he was freshly divorced and Chi-Chi was the one to force him into marriage before. You didn’t want to be anything like her. You knew he deserved better. It was bright and early so you decided to get a head start on cooking the party favors for Bulma’s party. You slowly crept out of bed so that you wouldn’t wake your boyfriend. He had you wrapped in his arms holding you to his chest tightly. Gods, he was so cute. Once you removed yourself from bed he rolled over on his back and continued to snore. You made a mental note to get a bigger bed. You had a queen sized bed and his feet awkwardly hung off the ends. He didn’t seem to mind though, as long as you fell asleep in his arms.

You walked down the stairs of your apartment and to the kitchen. You were still in just a big t-shirt and underwear and decided to put on an apron to complete the look. You threw your hair up and got to work. Your countertops quickly became a mess. There were mixing bowls everywhere, flour all over the place and half chopped vegetables. You wiped the bead of sweat off your forehead, you were proud of all of your hard work. You slid down the side of your island to take a break, that’s when you saw Goku coming down the stairs. He was shirtless and his hair was messy. You could get used to this sight every morning.

“Good morning!” Goku said with a smile, his voice was slightly raspy and it made your heart flutter.

“Hi” You replied, you didn’t move away from your spot on the floor.

“Smells great in here, whatcha making? I’m starving”

“Everything! I’ve already made a cheese and vegetable platter, skewers, bulgogi pork sticks, and flatbreads!” You gestured to the fridge where you stored everything. You forced yourself up off the floor and walked over to the fridge opening up one side. There was a huge platter of mixed food that you had left over. You pulled it out and slid it on the counter. Goku walked over to you nearly drooling at the sight of the food.

“This platter is all for you! I wanted you to try my recipes but I also wanted to feed you” You continued with a gentle smile. Goku bent down and picked you up in response, he spun you around before stopping in place and planted kisses all over your face before landing on your lips. You giggled and soaked up all his attention.

“How did I get so lucky?” Goku started immediately stuffing his face with the food you made.

While he was distracted you used this opportunity to get out all of the ingredients you needed for the desert platters. You pulled the chocolate syrup out of the cabinet and had a wicked idea. You turned to Goku and untied your apron letting it drop to the ground. You pulled your t-shirt over your head letting it pile at your feet, leaving you in only a pair of panties. Goku hadn’t looked over yet so you decided to act on your lust and pour the chocolate all over your breasts. The syrup was cold which made your nipples hard. Finally, you walked over to Goku who had just finished his food. You took the chocolate syrup and poured it down his pecs. 5. Are you looking to write any particular relationships with your muse?

In particular, I would love the chance to write him with a Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin the most. There’s things I wanna explore about his and Bulma’s relationship, given how long they’ve known each other, and what that means for them. Krillin because he’s his best friend! I wish we got to see them more during downtime. And Gohan I feel should be obvious but in particular I’d really like to discuss/plot around what happens in the Cell Games, why Goku Does That, and how their relationship is after the Cell Games (....because I keep Goku alive and that’s that)

And, now that I think about it, also Piccolo because I want that friendship, pls & thanks (the last answer on this gave me a lot of feelings about them and why it’d be fun to write them together). Probably a Broly as well for similar reasons, either based on the OG movie or the DBS one (as they are....very different lol)

There’s definitely a bunch of other muses I’d love to write him with, but of the ones I’m not actively writing him with, those are the top (and not that I don’t accept variants, I’m just trying to narrow things down or I’ll talk about gochi all day)

9. What thread types (e.g. angst, fluff) do you think portrays your character at their most genuine?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm that’s hard lol I feel like I’m still getting used to his muse tbh. I guess I would say...his genuine self comes out easier when it’s a thread topic in regards to training/fighting. Not necessarily actually fighting, but talking about it, and it could fit in just about any genre.

It’s not just that he loves martial arts, but when he’s fighting he’s really clever and smart, more than most people give him credit for in the day-to-day, and he enjoys martial arts with exuberance. He loves being able to pass down what he knows and will pretty much do that for anyone who shows potential. It’s also, sometimes, a way he shows how he cares, in that he worries about Earth being protected and wanting to prepare the next generation to handle things on their own. He feels that’s his duty, plus so many people passed down techniques to him. 

this doesn’t feel like a very coherent answer but hopefully I didn’t do bad lol

12. Do you think your muse would act differently if they had interacted with different characters in the past? 

Oh definitely. the reason I currently shy away from ‘raised a saiyan’ AUs is because of this. I don’t even feel I have him down in canon yet, I don’t wanna mix in something else. And if anyone but Grandpa Gohan had found him?? who knows. 

I feel Piccolo is a good foil in this regard; when he originally came to earth and then had to separate due to the kinds of people he met. They’re also opposites in that Goku is a peaceful saiyan and Piccolo is/was a violent namekian, the antithesis of their races, and yet both displaced from their home worlds and neither even knowing they’re aliens to Earth. In fact, they found out around the same time, Goku from Raditz and then Piccolo from Vegeta and Nappa (iirc). I think there could even be a parallel drawn to the way Kami makes the dragon balls and says he felt he found a piece of home vs how Goku takes to fighting, how he likely feels most himself when he is

Part 1 | Part 2

This part goes on very similar to the anime. Black is tracking and messing with Trunks as he wreaks destruction, Future Bulma dies, Trunks meets up with Mai… And she is seemingly killed by Black. Trunks manages to use the time machine to go to the past. Zamasu, meanwhile, is looking for Mai since he usually waits for Black to be distracted before he talks to her. Except he can’t find her.

Unable to sense Trunks’s ki anymore, Black takes out his frustration on the city and it attracts Zamasu’s attention. Zamasu asks what’s going on and Black admits Trunks somehow got away from him just as he was about to end him permanently. Black is extra angry in this version cause he thought that ending Trunks’s life would improve his and Zamasu’s relationship since this was something the two had argued about a lot. Zamasu believes Black just let him go again and the two bicker about it until Black says exactly how the fight went down… and that he killed the girl who was always with Trunks.

Zamasu is shocked. He convinces himself for a second it wasn’t Mai who Black killed, but some other, insignificant human. He demands that Black elaborate, and Black obliges, oblivious to Zamasu’s state. As he recounts what happens, he is clearly pleased that he killed Mai, since she was seen as such an important and inspiring leader to the other humans and Trunks had cared for her so much. He laughs that she is dead. Before Zamasu can get properly pissed, Black’s time ring reacts to his recount of the story and he is able to follow Trunks through time, leaving a very emotionally confused Zamasu behind and alone.

Trunks is in the past and can give a slightly more detailed summary of what’s going on in his timeline, thanks to what Mai has told him about Zamasu and Black. Beerus and Whis were at first upset about the time travel, but what Trunks says about a Supreme Kai going rogue is more concerning. They’re skeptical at first since they’re only hearing about it from a mortal who already broke such an important law, but once Goku Black manages to appear in the timeline they believe him (though they stay out of the fight). They conclude that Zamasu became Supreme Kai and made a Goku clone as a servant.

After Black destroys the time machine and Bulma finds the old one to repair, Trunks tells the others more about the fights he’s had with Black and limited information he has about Zamasu, since he had never actually seen the Kai himself and relied on what Mai told him. Beerus thinks it’s weird that none of the other gods have gotten involved and Whis wonders if they’re even still around. Trunks tells them that Zamasu told Mai that he and Black were the last gods but hadn’t given any more info, to their alarm. To satisfy their curiosity, they travel to Universe 10 and bring Goku along to see if Zamasu would recognize him. If he did, then they would have reason to suspect a plan is in the works to annihilate the gods and Gowasu would be in danger. Goku fights Zamasu and notes the energy is similar to Black, but overall they find no evidence of Zamasu being malicious towards Gowasu and leave.

Zamasu searches the ruins of the city for Mai’s body. As he looks, he thinks over Black’s actions and his own role again. The balance of power and influence over each other is fresh in his mind and he gets angry just thinking about it, though he still doesn’t know what to do with his anger. It’s been a while and he can’t find Mai’s body and he’s disappointed. He remembers that searching for bodies is what Mai would do for her comrades and wonders if that means he considered Mai an ally of his. That thought, combined with how angry he feels over her death, causes him to reluctantly accept that he did see Mai as someone with worth, someone he liked. It only made Black’s actions more despicable in his eyes.

When Black returns, winded from his fight with Goku, Zamasu pretends he doesn’t hear him calling to heal him and continues his search for Mai’s body. Eventually, he does find her. She’s alive! (Shocker)

Mai, to his annoyance, barely spares him a moment to talk, but he is too relieved that she’s alive to be too offended. She is in a hurry to get back to the rest of the resistance and has no time to speak to someone who isn’t even an ally when there are lives at stake. She tells Zamasu this and in response he grabs hold of her to keep her still and heals her injuries. Reluctantly he admits how much he has begun to detest Black and that he is relieved to see she survived. Before Mai can even think of a response, they see explosions and she rushes in that direction because she recognizes it as the subway station the rebels would go during an evacuation.

Black is distracted by Zamasu asking what he was doing now and how did he get hurt. Black happily explains what happened when he went through the time distortion. He wanted to test out his body’s forms when destroying the humans, though he is admittedly slowed down by the injuries he got from Goku. Zamasu has him return to their base so he can heal him, giving the resistance time to escape with just a bit more of the civilians than they did originally. Eventually he leaves Black with tea and an excuse, to his counterpart’s confusion.

Zamasu returns to Mai who icily thanks him for distracting Black, but people still died and she’s sick and tired of such pointless deaths. To Zamasu, it’s different to see the mortals at ground level after watching them fight so boldly from afar. They are dirty, starving and scared and he feels weird to be connected to the cause of it. Mai asks how he even found her and the others and Zamasu realizes he must have picked up the ability to sense power levels after Black brought it up and focused on her.

Remembering that fact, Zamasu informs her that Black will know where they are. He can sense their energies and the only reason he hasn’t killed them all is because he is either toying with them or wants to draw Trunks out. This is a huge blow to the other resistance members’ confidence. Mai just expresses her distaste and firmly stands by her decision to hold onto hope and support Trunks and any allies he might bring. Zamasu is intrigued in the idea of Trunks bringing allies but Mai refuses to give details. She then asks him to go and please, don’t come back unless he is going to help.

Zamasu leaves and eventually decides to just dispose of Black. Not for Mai or the mortals (totally not), but because he’s done serving him. When he returns, Black shows him his new form, Super Saiyan Rosè that he was able to acquire by taking in all the moves he learned by fighting Goku in the past and turning them into his own in his body. Zamasu is immortal, but not powerful enough to dispose of Black quickly so his plan to destroy Black needs rethinking – if he messes up then Mai and the other survivors would be put at risk. He plays nice and impressed for now, but unfortunately does not have any time to really plan.

Trunks returns with Vegeta and Goku and Black is drawn to the area where are and the fight goes as it does in the anime as Zamasu watches from above. Eventually when Black is about to finish them off, Zamasu tell him to stop. Except in this version, he means it. Goku appears happy to see him, claiming he knew he didn’t seem like a bad guy and Zamasu is offended he calls to him so casually. Black is furious and demands an explanation. Zamasu tells him he’s had a change of plans and is not going to just follow him anymore. At some point it’s revealed Black is Zamasu from the past in Goku’s body and Zamasu criticizes him for it and his primal obsession again.

While Black is distracted, Yajirobe and Mai save the three Saiyans and send them back to the past, more hopeful now that Zamasu appears to have switched sides.

Zamasu spends his time keeping Black away from the remaining humans. Black knows he can’t kill him and Zamasu knows he can’t defeat Black on his own so eventually the fight goes to a standstill with the two just arguing again. Black is on the brink of hysteria because he can’t believe the one he is fighting is himself. He can’t deal with the idea that any version of himself could be as flawed as to think mortals are worth anything. He begins to taunt Zamasu. What did he plan to do if he killed him? The Super Dragon Balls are gone so he can’t undo anything. All the other gods were gone, was he going to live amongst the filth and sins of mortals? Stay at his side. They are so close to a perfect utopia. The last of humanity wasn’t worth it. He’s seen what they do, how they dare to claim godly power as their own and throw fists at true higher beings, what plan could he possibly have for them? Zamasu begins to lose confidence in his decision.

In the past the Saiyans are sent to recover. Trunks tells Beerus and Whis about how Zamasu had swapped bodies with Goku after losing a fight with him. Beerus decides he hates time travel and they revisit Gowasu and Zamasu. Like the anime, they prove Zamasu’s murderous intent and he is erased. They explain everything to Gowasu and he is horrified, but then decides he wants to help. Beerus says its unnecessary since Zamasu is erased in this timeline so therefore, he is gone in all of them, but Gowasu says it isn’t the case if Black is wearing a time ring. He wants to help the future Zamasu who has switched sides since he apparently had failed so badly with his own. Beerus doesn’t care and says to do what he wants, time travel is such a hassle.

Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Bulma are ready to travel back to the future, more battle ready. Goku and Vegeta barely begin to fight Black while Zamasu stands aside uncertainly. As Black fights he recounts all the sins that Trunks, Vegeta and Goku have committed, confident he can get Zamasu back on his side with these blatant examples in front of him.

Shin arrives with Gowasu and once Black sees him, he is frozen. Gowasu condemns everything he has done in a speech and it makes Black furious but it gets through to Zamasu, strengthening his resolve and he rejoins the fight. Faced with Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, his old master and himself, Black completely snaps. He tries to kill Gowasu for a third time but Zamasu intercepts the attack. From there, Black’s attacks are overpowered and erratic. There’s a big dramatic fight and probably speeches and monologues but with everyone teaming up on him, it doesn’t take too long for them to kill Black. Trunks gets the killing blow cause its Trunks.

Gowasu asks Zamasu to join him in his timeline and perhaps they can make up their mistakes with each other, but Zamasu declines. He won’t go through with the Zero Mortal Plan, but he also can’t go back to standing idly by and watching as mortals fall to evil. Everyone parts ways and goes back to their respective timelines as everything gets wrapped up. Trunks’s future is safe and they begin to rebuild as Zamasu rethinks his future and his role. It’s all a pretty uncertain, but happy, ending…

…Then upper management gets involved.

Top Three Ships: Yeah I mainly ship OC/Canon or characters from my original works, but I KNOW I have canon ships...if my brain will cooperate and let me think of them lol(suddenly I have forgotten every media I have ever enjoyed)

• VEGEBUL, okay this one is my genuine OTP, ever since I was a little girl. Vegeta and Bulma are some of my favorite characters IN GENERAL, and I just love them so much. I love how Vegeta was a villain and yet he turned out to be a MUCH better husband and father than Goku has EVER been

• CLASSIC Joker and Harley: Look, pls don’t hate me for this one, I grew up with Mark Hammil’s Joker, and I DON’T read New 52. Growing up extremely isolated(I grew up in the middle of the woods, so no other kids nearby), mentally ill, and interested in Science, I CLUNG to The Joker since he was the first INTELLIGENT outwardly stated(not just coded) mentally ill character my tiny child self had ever seen; that was what made me understand that being “different” didn’t mean I was dumb. Harley was doubly important to me because she was female, and smarter than The Joker(I liked Ivy too for this reason, but Ivy has never sat quite right for me because my mom was my abuser, and she is also a plant-loving redhead) I’m not going to lie, I took a huge interest in psychology as a kid purely because I loved Harley.

Don’t get me wrong, I know their relationship is anything BUT healthy, but they’re villains, they aren’t supposed to be healthy(In BTAS Harley and Ivy’s relationship wasn’t healthy either) I did like though, that when Harley herself feels a line has been crossed(typically when she doesn’t get the attention she needs) she is MORE than willing to leave The Joker’s crusty ass; I always thought that if the physical abuse truly bothered her she would just leave. (I am not defending the Joker, just stating that Harley is NOT trapped and helpless)

• The Entire Human Scooby Doo Gang: Look man, it was the 70s, they all lived in a van together traveling the country; try and tell me they weren’t all dating

Lipstick or Chapstick: I wear chapstick a lot more often since I am a mom, and I don’t like to get lipstick on my kiddos little face; but I am also a semi-professional fetish model, and I ROCK that red lip when I do photoshoots. (Before I had my son I wore a LOT of lipstick, my favorite colors to wear were three different shades of red, and BLUE. I LOVED TattooJunkee matte lips, since they are cheap and have SERIOUS staying power. NYX Liquid Suede is MUCH more comfortable though, and Kitten Heels is my favorite red lipstick)

Last Song: Strangelove by Depeche Mode

Last Movie: I watched Rugrats in Paris with my son, it’s his favorite and we watch it every day. Last movie I watched that WASN’T a kids movie was Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell

On Amazon Prime: I think it was Carnival Row, but I don’t actually seek out to watch series’s a lot though since I am usually pretty busy. Usually my husband puts a show on in the background while he eats lunch before work

On Cable: Bitchin’ Rides. I love classic cars, and my son’s eyes are always GLUED to the screen any time we watch a car show

Last Book: Salem’s Lot by Stephen King; it is my favorite book. Visualizing the characters, I realized that how I pictured Ben Mears(main character) was very familiar but I couldn’t place why; rewatched Rob Zombie’s 31 and realized I had pictured Richard Brake(Doomhead) as Mears; I decided that if I ever meet Richard Brake at a convention I am going to ask him to sign my copy; he is going to be so confused, but it will have meaning to me lol
