Standing in front of these castles feels like stepping into someone else’s memory. The towers, the turrets, the grand facades all speak of a world that was never meant to be here, yet here they are, made real by desire. Maybe we do not want authenticity. Maybe we want something that feels familiar even when it does not belong. This is not history. It is performance. A stage where the past is softened and repackaged into something beautiful, something safe, something that does not remind us of what it once meant. We walk through it, we take pictures, we move on. But the question lingers. If we keep building dreams from borrowed stories, do we ever really make our own?
