“I’m not going to vote for the guy who does things I can’t condone” understandable, in this system that just leaves [checks notes] …the guy who will do those things and more things we really don’t want to happen, who also can’t be trusted not to find/bullshit a way to somehow keep himself in power forever.

…well. that’s… a choice you can certainly make, and that is your right to make it.

#building in ranked-choice voting or a third party is not going to happen in six months I’m sorry #it’s something we’ll need to do at the local level first I’m guessing #as many of these parties get build literal grassroots support in their communities first #is this something we should do? yes.#is this something we can feasibly achieve by this coming election? doubtful.#but ‘sure things will get worse in the short term’ is making a bigass assumption that this would Only Be for the short term #and I don’t think that’s a gamble any of us can afford #but what do I know about that right. I’ve just lived in red states for my entire life!!#there’s definitely not a difference in the parties at all which is why my current state is 49th in damn near everything!!!#like yes let’s threaten him to correct himself and quickly #but also let’s not pretend that actually abstaining will do what people seem to think it will.#sigh.#uspol cw #I’m not arguing don’t try #rae grumbles
