I’ll Meet You Outside the Back Door When I’m Out of My Tux  // Lee Jeno
pairing: jeno x reader genre: slight angst, happy ending wanings/notes: based on Speak Now by Taylor Swift, arranged marriage word count: 2.6k summary: In order to secure a sucessful future for his company and his son, Jeno's father arranges a marriage between his son and the daughter of one of his fathers buiness partners. Jeno, although unhappy with the plan, doesn't put up a fight. After being uninvited to the wedding by Jeno's bride-to-be, you friends (Jeno's groomsmen), sneak you into the ceremony in order to stop the arrangment and help Jeno escape the coming future of misery.
a/n: how do u title oh my gosh help askjfdaj
[11:27 am]
Time felt slower than usual as it ticked by on the clock resting on your nightstand. The confines of your bedroom almost felt suffocating the longer you waited. You straightened your outfit for the eighth time in the last 10 minutes, your nerves only building. A knock on your front door pulled you from your thoughts. You hurried out of your room with your phone in hand and opened the door, revealing your best friend, Donghyuck, dressed in his simple groomsmen attire. He stepped inside and shut the door behind him as you retreated further back into your home to grab your shoes.
“Wonderful day to save your damsel in distress, isn’t it?” A sly smile played on Donghyuck’s lips; you shot him a glare.
“Hyuck. I am beyond terrified. You’ve known me all our lives; you know I’ve never been the type to interfere with anything, let alone anything as momentous as a marriage ceremony!” The words flew out of your mouth as you took a seat on the stairs and tugged on your shoes. When you looked up, Donghyuck was standing directly in front of you. His arms were crossed over his chest and the sly expression he previously had was now serious and sincere.
“I know you’re afraid that this will ruin everything, but trust me. He wants out of this just as much as we want him out, but he hasn’t been able to stand up to his dad. You’re the only one who can do this. This is the only way to get him away from his father and this stupid arrangment. Everything will be okay.” Your best friend pulled you to your feet and placed his hands on your shoulders. You tilted your head back with your eyes squeezed shut and took a deep breath. A loud sigh fell from your lips when your head fell forward once again.
“Okay. Let’s go before I make up more excuses to not go through with it.” When you opened your eyes, Donghyuck’s signature bright smile was back and he started to drag you out the door.
---
Soft melodies continued to play through the speaker in Donghyuck’s car as he settled into a parking space. You eyed the church ahead of you and observed as the many guests walked through the large front doors. Donghyuck turned to you after clicking off the ignition, halting the music midway through and motioned for you to face him.
“Okay, when we go in there, just stick to the wall. I’ll stand on the other side of you, act natural. It really only matters if you’re seen by either of the families. They’re the only ones that know you besides the rest of the groomsmen.” You took another deep breath and nodded before reciting the rest of the plan to him.
“We’ll meet up with the guys, and I’ll sneak into the pews right before the ceremony so there’s little chance of being approached by anyone.” Your best friend sent you an encouraging smile and a reassuring nod.
“Ready to stop a wedding?” Donghyuck’s mischievous smirk returned as he unlocked the car doors. You took another look at the church and the other guests streaming in.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.”
---
Donghyuck ushered you into a small room before shutting the door behind him. The occupants of the room swiftly turned around at the sound of the door shutting. Renjun exhaled loudly when his eyes landed on you and rushed over, pulling you into a tight hug.
“Thank god you’re here!” You smiled at everyone after Renjun pulled away, your eyes scanning the room. Jisung, Chenle, and Jaemin all smiled and waved to you. The afternoon sun seeped through the stained-glass window, casting an array of colours onto the walls.
“Where’s Jeno?” You chewed on your bottom lip nervously as your eyes flickered between each of your friends. The boys' expressions faltered slightly at the question.
“His dad took him to another room like 20 minutes ago.” Jaemin sighed, leaning against the wooden table in the middle of the room, his arms crossed over his chest.
“Yeah, he didn’t really say anything to us about why or where they were going.” Jisung added, looking down at his hands.
You nodded softly in slight disappointment. Donghyuck placed his hand on your lower back and guided you further into the room. The dark, wooden floor creaked slightly under your feet. You took a seat in one of the empty chairs and sighed.
“Thankfully, since you’re finally here, this day shouldn’t take very long.” Chenle chimed in, bringing more positivity into the room. You inhaled sharply as your nerves suddenly spiked. You raised your eyebrows and smiled with wide eyes.
“Well, we can hope this goes the way we want.” Your voice wavered slightly as you spoke, the boys beginning to encourage you as they noticed your worry.
You flinched slightly at the aggressive yelling that came from the room next door. Your brows furrowed and you turned to your friends, curious to see if they had any knowledge of what was going on in there. Jisung and Renjun sent you tightlipped smiles as Chenle spoke up.
“That’s the absolutely lovely bride-to-be.” His voice dripped with sarcasm and he rolled his eyes at the completely inaccurate description of her.
“She’s been yelling on and off at her bridesmaids all morning.” Jaemin added, rolling his eyes as well. You nodded your head slowly.
“She sounds like a pleasure to have around.” You said, deadpan. Donghyuck chuckled from behind you.
“Yeah, an absolute peach.” He added. His tone was venomous as he spoke with an annoyed smile, causing Jisung to snort from his seat.
Renjun checked his watch and took a deep breath before turning to you.
“The ceremony is starting soon, you should go find a seat.” You nodded softly as he walked towards you. He placed his hands on your shoulders and raised his eyebrows. You shook out your wrists as anxiety began creeping back in.
“You can do this. We got your back.” A nervous smile rested on your lips. Renjun gave you a final nod of good luck before letting you go. You bid farewell to your other friends before turning to Donghyuck. He pulled you into his chest at the sight of your worried filled eyes. He quietly reassured you once more that everything would be okay before giving you a tight squeeze. You took a final deep breath before walking out the door.
---
You snuck into a pew at the very back of the church; eyes scanning the room and the guests participating in friendly conversation. Jeno’s parents are near the front, shaking hands of those in attendance. His father wore a bright smile as he conversed with those you recognized as his business partners; his mother’s lips were pressed in a thin, tight smile. You could see the dullness in her eyes when she looked at her husband and around the room. A frown graces your features and your eyebrows furrow when you feel a slight pang in your chest. Jeno’s mother had no say in her husband’s decision for their son; all she wanted was for her beloved son to be happy. She knew this wasn’t what he wanted.
A slight movement in the background pried your eyes away from his mother and you saw Renjuns eyes scan the pews. His gaze landed on you and his worried expression was replaced with one of softness and relief. The smile you give him is small, the nerves still evident in the rest of your face; he sends you a subtle thumbs up and a nod. Jaemin and Donghyuck peek out from behind the partition to send silent encouragement after Renjun ducked out of the way. Your small, worried smile falls into a sigh of defeat when you make eye contact with Donghyuck. His eyes flash with concern but he nods and mouths “You got this. It’ll be okay.”
Donghyuck quickly retreated out of view once more when the organ sounded and everyone in the church stood. You saw Jeno walk out. His head down, eyes trained on the floor. He looked beyond handsome in the simple black tuxedo; the jacket hugging his figure perfectly. You almost tear up at the breathtaking view in front of you. Your heart skipped a beat when he finally looked up. His dark hair was naturally combed to the sides, away from his forehead where a few longer, stray pieces rested gently. He clasped his hands behind his back and smiled at his mother. A look of remorse washed over his face and his smile contorted into one void of happiness. You hid yourself within the rows of people, not ready to catch Jeno’s eye.
Everyone turned towards the centre of the room as the doors creaked open. The flower girl walked down the aisle, dropping the pink and white petals from her basket. The bridesmaids followed close behind in their symphony of flowy, pastel gowns. A hush fell over the room as the organs song shifted. You glanced at Jeno as his bride-to-be stepped through the large, wooden doorframe. You’re chest tightened at his expression; almost emotionless but with a hint of misery most people would miss. You can’t help but feel a sense of relief wash over you in that moment; feeling more confident in what was to come. Renjun rested a careful hand on Jeno’s shoulder and Jeno turned his head to face his best man. All the eyes were on the girl who floated down the aisle in a big, white gown. Jeno’s empty expression remained until everyone’s gaze fell on him as his bride settled in front of him. A fake mask of joy and love washed over him as he met his father’s eyes before turning to the princess-like girl before him.
“You may be seated. We are gathered here today...” Your mind went blank as the ceremony began. The celebrant's voice was merely background noise as you frantically tried to think of what to say when the time came.
---
Your brain was running a mile a minute when you heard the words you had been waiting for all afternoon.
“... speak now or forever hold your peace.” Silence fills the entire room, no one daring to disrupt this moment. Your eyes met those of all the groomsmen; Renjun, Jaemin, Donghyuck, Jisung, and Chenle. Desperation was swimming through each pair, begging you to do what you came to do. This was your last chance. You shoot up to your feet with shaky hands, your voice unsteady but loud enough to be heard.
“I object.”
Gasps and whispers fill the once quiet space when everyone turns to see who would do such a thing on such a joyous day. You felt their eyes burning holes into every inch of your body. But time stopped when Jeno met your gaze. The corner of his lips twitched up into a small smile, his breathing quickened ever so slightly. You gulped and cleared your throat.
“Um, I’m not one to ever interrupt such a special and beautiful occasion. I just- Jeno. I could never let you throw away your happiness like this. You shouldn’t have to marry the wrong person just to secure your future.” You see Jeno let go of his brides hands and face you completely. The shock was evident in her face but you ignored it. The whispers grew louder.
“So just, Jeno, don’t go through with this. Please.” You let out a small sigh but stayed standing. Jeno stepped down onto the aisle and swiftly walked forward, his eyes still glued to yours. His father stood as Jeno passed and gripped his arm, halting his movements. Jeno tore his eyes away from you and glanced at his father’s hand that squeezed his forearm; both of their expressions were firm.
“Son, if you back out I will never let you step foot in the company ever again.” His father’s voice was low and threatening. Jeno tilted his head down slightly, before ripping his arm away from his father’s grasp.
“I’m sorry dad.” Jeno’s pace picked up again as he made his way to you. You saw the bridesmaids surround the now frustrated girl. The groomsmen sighed in relief and gave each other subtle high-fives. You would’ve laughed at your friends had you been in any other situation, but with the love of your life walking towards you with pure adoration in his eyes, you were more than distracted.
Jeno’s lips quickly found yours in a kiss that felt like long awaited water in a drought. The church filled with all kinds of chatter about how the wedding was ruined and how terrible the day had turned out. Through the disappointed conversations you heard the muted cheers of your friends at the front of the room when you and Jeno pulled away. You both smiled with your foreheads resting against each other.
“Let’s run away. Now.” You spoke as if you were the only people in the world. Everyone else was forgotten; the only person you saw was Jeno.
“I’ll meet you outside the back door when I’m out of my tux.” Jeno’s words were rushed and panted, still slightly out of breath from the kiss moments ago.
“Fuck that, grab you clothes and leave your tux on. Let’s just go, now.” Your smile was bright as excitement built inside of you. Jeno chuckled softly at your tone before taking your hand in his and running out the door; you close behind. You heard your friends erupt in celebration and the skin on skin contact of high-fives as you and Jeno got further from the ceremony.
---
Jeno pulled you in for another kiss after starting his car. You smiled against his lips. His fingertips rested against your cheek.
“Thank you so much for saving me in there. I’m so fucking glad you still decided to come after-”
“Jeno, I couldn’t just let you marry someone knowing that you would be miserable. I could not live with myself if I did.” Jeno bit his bottom lip and looked into your eyes with a bright smile, his expression full of love and genuine happiness. You stared back, adrenaline still coursing through your veins. He gently rubbed his thumb across your cheekbone.
“I love you so fucking much.” Jenos voice was just above a whisper but it felt as though he just shouted it to the entire world. You smiled and shook your head, barely able to believe how much you could love one person.
“Fuck, I love you too. Let’s get out of here.” You both clicked your seatbelts on after pulling away from each other. The sunrays sparkled through the gaps of the tall cedar trees as Jeno drove away from the church. His hand rested on your thigh, rubbing small circles against it with his thumb. You tore your eyes away from the man to your right when your phone vibrated in your pocket. The screen flooded with text messages from your friends.
“I knew that was going to work but I just about died- the suspense was SUFFOCATING” You chuckled at Chenles message and replied before moving on to the others. You smiled softly at the last one from Donghyuck.
“I told you everything would be okay :)” You stared at the message from your best friend for a moment before turning back to Jeno. The sun illuminated his features beautifully, only making him look even more ethereal. He glanced at you quickly before looking back to the road. You placed your hand over his on your thigh and your heart fluttered. His eyes curved into small crescent shapes when he smiled at your action. There was no way to tell what was to come next but in that moment, everything really was okay.

I’d like to think a lot of us do dream. We do dream of bringing humanity back to life. We do dream of having communities free of GBV, crime and hatred. We do dream of societies that are supportive to their youth, where every decision is respected. Societies where one’s child is every adult’s child. Where we can all live in harmony with each other.
A world where there is colour. A world where we acknowledge that there is colour. ..that colour makes one unique, it makes us be unique in our own differences. Also acknowledge that it must not provide levels of inequalities but willingness to learn more about each other. Willingness to learn from each other’s rich history, to gain more wisdom. I mean each color has its own wisdoms.
I wish I could say I pray that God hears my prayers about the world. But really I am confused, I am confused as I keep wondering if the God I really hope will hear my prayers is the God I should be praying. The God I imagine when I think of God. Is He the one who’s supposed to be there for us? His children? A part of me feels like “man you shouldn’t have allowed this to happen if you really love us all equally”...And sometimes I’m like “we all mistakes maybe God made a mistake also just like all of us, if He does mistakes”. I mean as a little girl who grew up to be what she is today from who used to attend church so much, I used to be in Sunday school☺️. I loved it there, it felt so safe♥️. It can’t be by myself that I am where I am today and I am who I am. I am no one special. I did nothing special, I am just like any other person with my own uniqueness. I can only imagine the Grace of God at work. It will also take me where I need to go.
All we need to do is unite, support each other!! I know y’all if you want your loved one to make it in life you give them your all. You fight to support them in every aspect of being that could build them to be great people. Some of us are the ones that need that help but we do not support others. The same way you feel about your mom, dad, sibling, partner, friend and your other loved ones is the sane way you feel about a black nation you’re just taking a different aproach to handle the situations. If there is a child around your house, or anywhere really, and they do not have school uniform...buy that child something, keep them motivated to go to school. If you can, accommodate people and how they feel that will make them regain their power. Listen. If you can’t, do not bring any negative energy. Let’s stop imposing our beliefs in other people’s lives. That will make us stop judging each other and we will accept ourselves with our flaws and be the most powerful race full of love. Our ancestors valued love and kindness that is what other races took advantage of. But now we are suffering from anger and it is hurting us. We need each other now more than ever. We are depriving ourselves the love and kindness because of what we experienced after offering it. We are not kind even to ourselves.
All these things we are facing is because black people do not understand their identity anymore. Loosing ourselves made us loose power. We are power only when united! If we strive for unity then we shall conquer.
I understand there is still trauma, there is still trauma of what has happened in history.
The history of slave trade has a huge impact on us. We all know that and we must not be convinced otherwise by people like an English slave trader, Archibald Dalzel who felt that African societies were unaffected by the slave trade (https://scholar.harvard.edu/files/nunn/files/hup_africa_slave_trade10.pdf).
Sometimes I blame my ancestors for not making sure that our strong cultures remain with us. We’d become better person and learn to love each other, again. Maybe then we would stop facing this cruel world, the world is gonna be a better place for us.
Support each other! Support each other. Emotionally. Socially. Financially.Physically. Mentally. All the aspects! I know some will say school is a trap but what else have we got? For some it works, and for those it worked we must strive to support others. If you can afford to fund someone’s studies/buiness, fund them. We can not expect other races to respect us when we cannot take care of our own! If you can afford to take one child from a disadvantaged family and take care of them, just be there for them. Do it. We all need someone to be there for us. That one person. I know we are broken, we are so broken but if we do not fix ourselves no one will. History can’t repeat itself. We must move forward. It has happened what’s next is how do we move forward. Push each other.
Love&Light💫♥️

Thoughts on PLL 7x13
So I dont realy know what to say about this episode, but i think I’ve realy enjoyed it.It had some realy good parts and development and the writting was good.It wasnt like last week that i felt like nostalgic for the older seasons, but it was dinamic and it worked.I feel that Pll is heading to build up the reaveals that hopefully will start by next week. Now lets talk about the things that happened.
I’m first gonna talk about Aria.I was just so impreased with what they did with her. They made her get engaged in A buiness and they also made her look very shady with all the sudden tecnology handeling and made her grow on the A.D potencial list.I don’t think she is A.D but if she is very close envolved or at least envolved(like Spencer was in the end of season 3) i would realy like plus it will be cool twist.I feel like in all the history of the show Aria was the liar lest envolved with A stuff and most of her development was spent on romance or family drama. Now for her to go stalking Sydney with Emily and even press Sydney to a wall like that.I’ve got to admit, that scene was realy good. Not to mention the scene with her in knife were Nicole apered out of the blue.I think something realy cool is going to come from that.
Sydney lets talk about her.I don’t know if it’s just me but I always feel that when Sydney is talking she always not telling the trust and just covering up for Jenna endlessly. In the last post i said that i was sick about the constant Jenna storylines since season 1 and Sydney is just an extencion of that storyline and even more sick about Sydney and her sudden aperences for no reason .I guess for me Sydney is just Sydney. She not interesting and just there. However her parts were good but that was mostely for all the Aria stuff that has happening with that.
Now that were on the topic of Sydney.I will say the same thing that I said about the last episode.I fell like there are heading to an endgame but god is this coming slow. They are still spending time on thing that are not that major. This episode gets an bit of an excusse from the last one cause the Sparco, Sydney  and Yvonne and Toby story at least felt like they made more sense than the Addison plus Holden that felt way just trown in their.
With Sparco I felt that Spencer needed to relax a bit.She has being always the one who is poking her nose in the misteries and after all the Mary and Hastings crap happening late.So ping pong with Marco wasn’t that bad but maybe a bit pointless.Look I like Sparco,it’s cute and nice and all but it’s pretty obvious that it will not be endgame.Spoby probably will.Them killing Yvonne makes it even more obvious.Eventhough if Sparco is endgame is Spencer just gonna open suddenly about all this A.D stuff and killing they guy whose case he a detective. This is just to much drama for the last episodes even for PLL.
Let’s go on Toby and Yvonne, part of me wishes that Yvonne would have died in 7x11 or just broke with Toby for some reason.Just to make the storyline way simpler and make time for things that actualy happen.I wish that Yvonne hadn’t died she was just a nice girl who is probably the only pearson on the show who is totaly inocent. It’s a shame that she died but i was obvious.Taking that into consideration the scenes with Toby and Yvonne were pretty moving even me think that the hospita wedding was very cheesy but it was cute.I can’t stress how much i felt for Toby when we walked out dropped to the ground and saw Spencer that shitt was just heartbreaking.I think that was the most emotional scene in 7B.
Now the boardgame, i was happy that this  game was finaly getting wiked and made people do weird stuff.Visiting a friend was like the worst dare and blackmalling a teen wasn’t that huge step up.Cutting  a doll of yourself  was much better.Truly A worthy. It made and added quite well to the Hanna and Caleb storyline. The game also gave some realy cool suprises like who ever built this is a fucking genius.
I realy hope that the Hanna fashion story line leeds somewhere other than just Hanna being sucessfull.I want Hanna to be happy and have a fashion carrer but i hope we discover at least something about Lucas and his connection to A.D or if Katherine Daily does something important than just wear Hanna’s dress.
A.D ending scene was realy cool also with the police reciving a finger who i think is not Rollins but Mrs D.I realy hope that we find out how kills her and at the moment biggest candidates are Mr Hastings and Mary Drake. The trailers promised that and hope they kept it.I just hope in general that Pll speeds up a little more and they kept up these kind of episodes and stop going on about things that are not important or a least make those things have a point and not seem random.
These were just some opnions so if desagree with me don’t hate me.
