This Saturday we are partnering with Lauren for Herbs, Dreams and Goodness Tea @sequimmarket. I’m out of town to help caretake for my pops who just got home from the hospital after a big scare. So glad to be here singing songs to champion his recovery and have Lauren’s skillful craft at home offing our teas and plants alongside her medicinal plant starts and rich knowledge base for medicine making. Hope to see you next week at @jeffcofarmersmarkets in Chimacum. Stoked that @profecera will be back at @poulsbofarmersmarket representing our tea and the bloodcatcherscollective 🩸 reusable mensural pads next Saturday too. . . When I heard the news my dads heart stopped on the way to the hospital it’s like things stood still. I was in a bit of a daze finding people to take care of farm, family and tea orders amidst what seems like society falling apart (and also pulling together) to stand up for human rights. I am heartened by neighbors speaking up for eachother just as they are here for me. I have hope. 🕊 I see people rallying all over the world saying E N O U G H. Our global family needs us to keep speaking out for our elders, our neighbors and our children. . . . 🎶 when we got pops home, I played old timey songs on the ukulele and it spurred his memory. He loved my version of Tom Dooley, said I changed the words but it was still good. So grateful for his humor and humble delight to find himself confused, but capable and living on another day. Remember music in these times, make up new songs to mark our way and honor those fighting the good fight.
