Oh gosh, that’s really hard! 😅  I’m still fond of “Moonlight” (the first one I posted), but I’ve written so many, it’s hard to pick just one, because I like each of them for different reasons.  (Like, for example, “A Warm Place” for my first attempt at a ship fic, “Silence of Midnight” for my first try at Em’s Shardsverse, etc.)

5.  Share one of your strengths.

Characterization, I guess.  It’s something I have lots of doubts about, especially when I don’t get a lot of feedback.

15.  If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

Well, assuming that it remains an animated medium*... gosh, I don’t know.  I would love to see “Moonlight” come alive in any form.

(* Unless Elizabeth Lail and Georgina Haig are in it.  I miss those two so.)

31.  Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?

For canonverse stories, I try to stick with what’s been established in canon.  (What canon I’ve seen, anyway.  I am ashamed to say that I have STILL not watched Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. 😓)

For AUs, I try to go with whatever rules have been established for that AU.  The exceptions are the one AU I’ve created, and the Domestic Assassin AU, where I often do like Indiana Jones and make things up as I go. 😂

Heh, I thought you already had a headcanon for that. 😛  I haven't seen Bolt, though; the name is from the list of cats you named in "Happiness Is a Warm Cat".

I admit, my logic for naming him Marshmallow went along the lines of “well, what would they name their biggest cat?”  And only afterwards did I think about it and realize, “oh, he’s just like Marshmallow in the movie now, isn’t he!”  Big ol’ guard cat.  Pretty sure he can’t throw anyone, but he may be offended by snowballs...

I’m going to have to go back and read those discussions I mentioned, before I tackle the next chapter, because I’m unsure how it’s going to go—I’m only sure of how it ends.

I mean, is Elsa going to actually get mean and start using her powers?  Like, say, lure Anna into the kitchen and cover the floor with ice?  (At which point Anna cries, “NO FAIR USING YOUR POWERS ELSA”, and she replies, “All’s fair in coffee and war.”)

I’m gonna cheat and recommend two, from two different fandoms.  One is “the two body problem” by @ultranos, which is the hilarious, ongoing Supergirl otter crackfic.  (Pun!)  The other is your ongoing Frozen Kristanna fic, “The Kindergarten Series”.  (And that isn’t just flattery; it’s so good!!)

(And I picture it as more Elsa standing still, smugly watching the hapless policemen, trying to get bullets past her wall of tiny magic ice shards... 😂  Although, it's not outside the realm of possibility that she could make it look like she dodged them, using the shards to deflect the bullets one way while moving the other way.  Hmm.)

Especially since her coffee addiction doesn't factor into this fic at all (except see above 😂).  I tried to keep it a little humorous, even though this is more serious than my usual DA!verse offerings. 😉  (Rather like the tone of "An Unexpected Discovery", I think.)

@dagart - Thank you, Dag! :D  As we all know, DA!Elsa is a huge dork, but when it comes to combat, she can be scary!

The whole "magic ice shards" thing came from when I was trying to figure out, "How is she going to scare them off?" Obviously, summoning a snowstorm or other very obvious displays of her power (cf. the Summit Siege in the movie) would create too much talk in the town, and she'd probably have the whole force out for her head.  So, she needed a much more subtle application of power.  I briefly toyed with the idea of an ice wall that could STOP bullets (and there's no doubt that she could make such a thing), but this was even better.

(Love seeing Domestic Au stuff! Easy to miss at times though.)

Fake dating/marriage

This is a tough call, because I’m still learning how to write ship fics; therefore, it’s unlikely I’ll be writing something like this anytime soon.  However, were I to write it, it would probably be one of two things:

Kristanna, most likely an AU; what starts out as fake dating becomes something a bit more. 😏

Elsa x somebody, Domestic Assassin AU.  This idea isn’t entirely new, but it would be interesting to write DA!Elsa going undercover in this manner to get close to someone, as part of a hit job.

I haven’t created any, but you know I’d give anything to live in Arendelle.

Characters.  Plot is hard. 😅

Again, very few OCs, but all friendly.  More or less.  The same one I mentioned in the previous ask, Ruth, I certainly wouldn’t want as my enemy, because she’s an assassin, and I’m sure she’d make my life miserable and brief. 😅

W: Do you like more general prompts, or morespecific ones?

Hm… More general, I guess?  The more general a prompt is, the more loosely I can interpret it (if necessary).  But sometimes that also means more work.  “Bus Stop”, for example, started as a very simple prompt (Kristoff offers Anna his umbrella at a bus stop), but I’m still pondering over the setting and characters’ backgrounds, etc.

Well… I’m not a big fan of angst for angst’s sake.  About the closest I’ve come to writing angst is having a character grieving the loss of someone.  (Ex.: “Comfort”)

Sure, I don’t have a problem with it.  In fact, I tend to prefer it, since I’m less likely to be bothered in public than at home.  (Sad, but true.)

Pretty much everywhere.  I write whenever the muses and motivation show up.

Pink: Which of your characters would become your best friend?

Oh, gosh... I don’t have more than a couple of OCs, and the one that I think I would get along well with, I’ve barely written about.

What inspired you to write your DA verse fan fictions?

I’m not really sure, anon.  I mean, when the AU started 3 years ago, I followed along and commented.  And I remember wanting to write a fic of my own, but content that the others were doing such a good job without my help.  I think it was @stranger-who-writes-fiction who finally convinced me to write something, leading to this, and it was off to the races from there.

I dunno.  I guess I needed an entertaining distraction from the multi-chapter fic I started with, and this AU (and the other mulit-part fic I did around the same time) managed to completely derail work on that.  Now I’m co-admin of a blog dedicated to the DA AU.  Can’t imagine how that happened... 😂

1.  Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

Fluff.  Or, mild hurt or conflict that ends in fluff.  Otherwise, my fics are usually comedic and silly.  (With a few exceptions.)

2.  Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

Not really.  Since I last answered this, I have written a bit of ship fic (Kristanna), and have also started my own AU based on said ship (Heiress AU), so that’s something, I guess?

3.  Where do you write best?Pretty much anywhere, as long as it’s quiet.  Sometimes even an afternoon at a local park with only the sound of children playing is peaceful enough.

8.  Which character is your favorite to write?  Why?Princess Anna, because I admire her energy, enthusiasm, and cheerfulness. 💚

17.  Is there a specific category or genre your writings generally fall into?  Which?Not really...?  I write fluffy things, mostly; hurt/comfort and outright comedy (see: Dorky Assassin) are a few of the exceptions.
