Happy to announce I am back at dicemaking!!

But sad to announce that I must have lost a piece of my pressure pot when I moved apartments and it was not letting in air soooo it's bubbletown baby.. also of course I realized AFTER casting those dice ahahaha

Anyways! Might be able to salvage the inserts depending on what I wanna do with them regarding embellishments before casting them in their shells! And will redo my Agatha All Along 🖤 themed dice later on when my pressure pot is fixed!!

I feel like the bubbletown episode from season 11 brings up some musings abt the dirty bubble. did he live in normal bubble society at one point? did the dirty bubble have a bubble backstory with an angsty bubble family and maybe a bubble tragic accident? or is he the bubble joker and just built different? idk i dont go here i just watched the youtube video, the word bubble doesnt seem real atp

i miss the early 2000's and how fake their video game titles sounded. you can make up fake title right now and people will pretend to have fond memories of it. Tommy Knocker and His Iron Shoes? Rock and Roll: Metallic Mayhem? Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg? Bubbletown Blues? not a single one of them existed and that was the beauty of the early 2000s, now we have Assassin's Creed 15 and everyone is tired

SPRING COLLAB DECEMBER SPECIAL! maps 3-5 for the event!

FIRST! Deluge Ridge by Soloiini! - A cool routing challenge focused around power boxes! Yeah! power box-centric gameplay isn't common so this map already scores some uniqueness points. As usual with this event we're throeing it back to simpler times with the decoration and vanilla music choice. Despite being one of routing's biggest opps (sometimes), I think the routing in this one is mostly logical and natural, and some of my annoyances came with a couple moments of gameplay which felt weirdly tight or frustrating to do consistently (omg unpolished just like sc????). Some cool moments include a couple of the box breaker buffers and the "triple" dash movement. Overall, hey wait how were the switch gates activiated by the power b- 7.8/10 SECOND! Forest of Trees by BossSauce! - A clear nominee for most boring map name of the year, this map is definitely a lot more than the name suggests. Cassette gameplay with swap blocks, and even a jelly for the last 2 rooms! (at least it wasn't theo again, go get juggled in dejection or something). The gameplay is quite fun and mostly quick to get consistent despite seeming the opposite in practice, guess it all comes together really well. The map is gorgeous and i like the 8b cassette beat so yeah that's cool too. Berry had a casoost in it I think and that was funny so I liked it. Overall, I sure hope we have an interesting name after this! 8.8/10

THIRD! City of Buildings by ABuffZucchini! - OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CALL YOUR MAPS SOMETHING COOL LIKE SLING CITY OR BUBBLETOWN: ROUTE 516 OR SOMETHING! BAH! IT'S ANNOYING WHEN PEOPLE MAKE SOMETHING INTERESTING AND THEN CALL IT "THIS OF THAT" WHEN BOTH THE THIS AND THE THAT ARE BEYOND UNINTERESTING TOGETHER! THERE HAS TO BE A CONSPIRACY! NO WAY TWO GARBO NAMES MADE IT THROUGH NEXT TO EACH OTHER! CAHOOTS I SAY! ZUCC AND BOSS ARE COLLUDING!!!!!!!!!! So anyway this map sure is, a map. Sling bubbles take to the stage and zippers are on bass, with clouds at the drumset. This one was honestly not that fun for me, but first I do appreciate the nice music; sc's soundtrack has always had it's own vibe to it and I think this song fits that. Deco is alright, but damn, the gameplay, I mean sure it's mostly decent but I could not wrap my head around the 2nd berry's route and final room (with the clouds) was not my cuppa tea either. Overall, oh btw that rant was just a joke lmao (or is it hehehehe :3) , 7/10

"Cute" by Deppisch (our composer) and how it inspired Ghost friends/myself in many ways.

So I found deppisch while looking for someone to lend us, a song or two for the pilot. Our previous composer bailed out last minute and we were in a panic. We asked deppisch and not only did they lend us songs, he also made new ones and adjusted many to be unique for the ost!

"What dreams may come"

I was instantly trapped by first few notes and the melody. I knew i was in for a album! What i didn't know was this song was about to hit me in the gut later

"Good morning"

For the pilot: I was waking up, animating, eating, animating. it was one hell of a routine. This song reminded me to chill but also got me pumped up for the day! when i hear it, i remember the hustle of the last few days of the pilot

"are you real"

The video for this song is so much fun! even with the sad lyrics, this song is such a bop. I didn't have such a heavy impact with this song but god it was fun!

"picnic in the meadows"

This is one of the songs on the ghost friends ost. I love the use of drums. I would love to get a chance to do something similar for the next coming episodes. its just a vibe

"cute"

This was heard in the credits and used in our recap video. I really imagine all the characters singing this to each other. it really captures the show and the characters. How I'm still in disbelief that all this "uglyness" and roughness in this show is still loved.

"Good afternoon"

"So sing it right here, Sing it real loud, Sing it so the world can hear it, Clearly right now Singin’ I’ll be fine" can't tell you how these lines really affected me, it a nice reminder.

"secret garden" and "in the evening light"

the feel of the magic in ghost friends is inspired by secret garden. This is the song, i imagine playing when cameron uses magic. Perfectly captures the feeling of bubbletown! "in the evening light" captures nights in bubbletown

"meant for me"

i wish i could put into proper words what this song means to me. It really encapsulates what i have been feeling as a creator and the frustration of how tiring and hard it is to succeed in indie animation.

"what dreams may come reprise"

a punch to the gut. For me, it describes the feeling of longing for a dream. the fear of losing yourself to this longing. The way the song progresses makes me want to use this for the final episode. I see myself and my characters in this song.

anyways i hope i didnt embarrass my composer with this thread, but i truely love his music and wish him all the best!

Open starter w/ Cubix!

~ It was another fine day in bubbletown as Cubix had awoken early as he usually does. Conner was still fast asleep in bed as it was his day off from working full time at the bodies pit. Cubix knows how much Conner loves working there.. but at the same time he was glad Conner would take days off considering he tends to forget to take care of himself when he’s lost in his work. Speaking of which, perhaps Today would be the day Cubix would finally Manage to cook something for his best friend without burning down the house!

That went about as well as you would expect it would. Let’s just say when Conner woke up to the fire alarm- Cubix was banished from the house for the rest of the day.. ah well. It’s not like Cubix didn’t mind walking around bubbletown to meet up with his friends while Conner cooled off. He did however notice on his walk that there was something down near the old house he used to live in... they were.. Moving boxes? Did someone move in???

He decided to go and check it out for himself, perhaps make a new friend!
