Happy to announce I am back at dicemaking!!

But sad to announce that I must have lost a piece of my pressure pot when I moved apartments and it was not letting in air soooo it's bubbletown baby.. also of course I realized AFTER casting those dice ahahaha

Anyways! Might be able to salvage the inserts depending on what I wanna do with them regarding embellishments before casting them in their shells! And will redo my Agatha All Along 🖤 themed dice later on when my pressure pot is fixed!!

I feel like the bubbletown episode from season 11 brings up some musings abt the dirty bubble. did he live in normal bubble society at one point? did the dirty bubble have a bubble backstory with an angsty bubble family and maybe a bubble tragic accident? or is he the bubble joker and just built different? idk i dont go here i just watched the youtube video, the word bubble doesnt seem real atp

i miss the early 2000's and how fake their video game titles sounded. you can make up fake title right now and people will pretend to have fond memories of it. Tommy Knocker and His Iron Shoes? Rock and Roll: Metallic Mayhem? Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg? Bubbletown Blues? not a single one of them existed and that was the beauty of the early 2000s, now we have Assassin's Creed 15 and everyone is tired

Open starter w/ Cubix!

~ It was another fine day in bubbletown as Cubix had awoken early as he usually does. Conner was still fast asleep in bed as it was his day off from working full time at the bodies pit. Cubix knows how much Conner loves working there.. but at the same time he was glad Conner would take days off considering he tends to forget to take care of himself when he’s lost in his work. Speaking of which, perhaps Today would be the day Cubix would finally Manage to cook something for his best friend without burning down the house!

That went about as well as you would expect it would. Let’s just say when Conner woke up to the fire alarm- Cubix was banished from the house for the rest of the day.. ah well. It’s not like Cubix didn’t mind walking around bubbletown to meet up with his friends while Conner cooled off. He did however notice on his walk that there was something down near the old house he used to live in... they were.. Moving boxes? Did someone move in???

He decided to go and check it out for himself, perhaps make a new friend!

"Cute" by Deppisch (our composer) and how it inspired Ghost friends/myself in many ways.

So I found deppisch while looking for someone to lend us, a song or two for the pilot. Our previous composer bailed out last minute and we were in a panic. We asked deppisch and not only did they lend us songs, he also made new ones and adjusted many to be unique for the ost!

"What dreams may come"

I was instantly trapped by first few notes and the melody. I knew i was in for a album! What i didn't know was this song was about to hit me in the gut later

"Good morning"

For the pilot: I was waking up, animating, eating, animating. it was one hell of a routine. This song reminded me to chill but also got me pumped up for the day! when i hear it, i remember the hustle of the last few days of the pilot

"are you real"

The video for this song is so much fun! even with the sad lyrics, this song is such a bop. I didn't have such a heavy impact with this song but god it was fun!

"picnic in the meadows"

This is one of the songs on the ghost friends ost. I love the use of drums. I would love to get a chance to do something similar for the next coming episodes. its just a vibe

"cute"

This was heard in the credits and used in our recap video. I really imagine all the characters singing this to each other. it really captures the show and the characters. How I'm still in disbelief that all this "uglyness" and roughness in this show is still loved.

"Good afternoon"

"So sing it right here, Sing it real loud, Sing it so the world can hear it, Clearly right now Singin’ I’ll be fine" can't tell you how these lines really affected me, it a nice reminder.

"secret garden" and "in the evening light"

the feel of the magic in ghost friends is inspired by secret garden. This is the song, i imagine playing when cameron uses magic. Perfectly captures the feeling of bubbletown! "in the evening light" captures nights in bubbletown

"meant for me"

i wish i could put into proper words what this song means to me. It really encapsulates what i have been feeling as a creator and the frustration of how tiring and hard it is to succeed in indie animation.

"what dreams may come reprise"

a punch to the gut. For me, it describes the feeling of longing for a dream. the fear of losing yourself to this longing. The way the song progresses makes me want to use this for the final episode. I see myself and my characters in this song.

anyways i hope i didnt embarrass my composer with this thread, but i truely love his music and wish him all the best!

Three episodes and a movie

Wikipedia isn't reliable until the last minute. It says now we'll get two new Spongebob episodes Sunday, that is true. It also says we'll get one new episode November 11, let's put a pin in that. We'll take a look at these episodes, with the first two and the third.

Bubbletown - Spongebob visits Bubble Buddy in his home town

I'm cautiously optimistic about this episode. Last time Bubble Buddy returned, he didn't, and we got a mediocre episode about his son Shiny. But, a town for bubble people sounds creative. Imagine the bubble buildings, bubble food, bubble pets, bubble furniture. The crew has gotten creative lately, so they have a chance to knock this one out of the park.

Appointment TV - The long lost Mermaid Man episode will finally air, but Spongebob might not make it in time to watch it.

I gotta admit, I'm having my doubts on this one. They did good working around the sad truth of Mermaid Man's voice actor in Mermaid Pants, but they kinda ruined it in Man Ray Returns. So, this looks like another botched episode. On the other hand, we have a relateable plot. But, hasn't Spongebob heard of DVR? Oh, right, modern stuff in Spongebob can be pretty cringey.

Surf n Turf - Sandy has trouble building a ship in a bottle for a contest, so Spongebob calls in extra help.

Ship in a bottle sounds awkward, but there's a contest so who am I to judge sea folk? And Spongebob calls in help? Who could it be? Okay, I don't know where they're going with this, so I'm excited to go along for the ride.

Now, there's news about the third Spongebob movie, It's a Wonderful Sponge. You're not gonna like it. Sources state that the movie will be an original story about how Spongebob met the entire gang at a summer camp, and it will be entirely in CGI. Please God, let this source be false. I don't mind origin stories, if done right they can be interesting and, in it's own way, entertaining. But, the CGI. I loved the CGI in Sponge Out of Water, it was better than I thought. It was a gimmick, but it wasn't half assed, there was effort and at some points it was amazing. I'll admit I wouldn't mind a little more in the next film. But the whole movie? This movie has already jumped the shark! It's dead on arrival! I'm saying this, and I give the new era of Spongebob slack! They got two years to pull off a miracle, I consider they take it and return to the drawing board by literally returning to the drawing boards!
