Sol Bufo grew up as a homeless child. He went hungry, cold and scared for years, abandoned with nothing and in constant danger in the derelict water park. But he maintained his optimism and joy. He remained loving and kind, and didn’t allow his past to harden his heart. His actions as an adult are about caring for people. He makes Albin dinner, he knits things for friends to keep them warm, he reaches out to Kenna to make sure she knows she’s now part of their crew. He learned that his chance to leave the water park was a chance to help everyone around him. He can fight of course, but he equally values the domestic skills that were out of his reach as a child.
