Tiktokers getting upset over the concept of headcanon and self shipping is so predictable. It’s basically a new wave of people who join a wider fandom, but don’t want to interact with fan-made content. And that would be fine, but the amount of callout esque TikTok’s I’ve seen of people saying “touch grass” or “go outside” to something as tame as headcanons for characters or self-ship content is just… really really funny. They act like these things are new, when it’s been around since the dawn of fanbase. I would ask “what is the goal of saying shit like this?” But it’s obviously just to stand on a soap box about things that literally do not fucking matter outside the realm of goddamn TikTok/twitter. Like I’m really sorry you’re new to the whole fan-content thing, but some people are trying to have fun.
