I think I've sent this prompt before but Im not sure - hope your recovery from being sick went smoothly btw)

Reginald let out a happy sigh as he slumped into the drivers seat of the Airship. He had just come back from a rather peaceful dinner with Right, who was standing next to him.

Actually it had been peaceful for a long time. like really REALLY peaceful. No government raids in forever and Reginald and right hadn't seen or heard from Henry Stickmin for even longer. He just kinda disappeared. Better for them he supposed but he couldn't surpress the slight worry in his chest.

Nevertheless, Reginald basked in the comforting silence, extending an arm to grasp rights hand. Right smiled and the 2 held hands.

However the peaceful moment was ruined when Reginalds radio crackled to live and the fimilar voice of Burt came through.

"Uhhh.. Chief?" Burt drawled in his usual tone.

Reginald sighed, pulling his hand away from rights to grab his radio. He pressed the button on the side, hearing the fimilar beep before he started speaking.

"Yes I'm here, what is it Curtis?"

"uhmm... I don't mean to ruin your 2 month chill streak but.. Henry Stickmin and uhh.. Some other girl with red hair, is on the Airship."

Reginald nearly dropped his radio and he could see right visibly stiffen from the corner of his eye. Henry stickmin here? Right now?! With some girl?!

"I- Well stop them then!" Reginald barked into the radio, standing up.

"uhh yeah well.. We tried but.. We can't."

They can't?

"What on earth do you mean you CAN'T?"

"Uhmm.. Their in, what is that?... Like these Kart things? Like the ones in Mario kart? You know what I mean? Yeah their.. Speeding around, I think they ran over some toppats."

Reginalds brain stopped for a moment and he couldn't form a response. His eyes tore from the radio to right, who seemed just as perplexed.

"S-Sorry, could you uhm.. Repeat that?"

Burt repeated what he said, the sound of a certain Swedish man cursing can be heard in the background. Reginald thanked Burt and told him that he would handle it.

Reginald took one look at Right and an evil smile formed on both of their faces.

Henry never thought riding go karts on the Toppat Airship would be so much fun, but thanks to Ellie's suggestion, here he and her were, driving go karts, on the Toppat Airship, no Galeforce or Charles to be sour pusses.

Henry and Ellie took a turn in the hallway, only to be stopped by an even more surprising sight.

Reginald and Right were in go karts as well.

"Well Stickmin, since you disappeared without telling anyone for the longest while and then dare bring go karts and a stranger into our Airship at random, I, Reginald Copperbottom, challenge you to a race."

Henry raised his eyebrow as Ellie spoke up with a smile "From where to where and how many laps, twinks."

Right let out a snort as Reginald glared at Ellie "From this hallway, to the treasure room, to the kitchen back into here, ten laps, winner gets one free Toppat request of their choice."

"You and Captain Hotpants over there are on." Ellie smiled as everyone got into position, Right's face dusted with red from the nickname.

And then the four were off, chaotically driving their go karts around the place and making silly taunts at one another.

Too bad no one made it past five laps, with everyone's go karts eventually running out of battery. But it didn't matter as the four of them were laying in the hallway, laughing and calming down from the adrenaline and overall silliness of everything.

Soon Reginald spoke up, a smile still on his face "Henry, Miss Rose, if you ever want to do something like that again... just call us ahead of time. I know of a great go karting place next to a solid diner, and my deal stands if you win, since none of us really won this time."

Henry smiled and shook Reginald's hand in agreement as Ellie was busy braiding Right's hair.

And an unlikely friendship formed that day, one that with time, would grow into something much more.
