Hollywood has normalised teenagers as being played by adults who LOOK like adults and behave like they are adults, and don't show that most teenagers don't go out drinking and partying every night/weekend.

Not every teen relationships has a main focus of sex and a lot of teenagers actually find comfort in casual romance.

Having a show where teenagers actually act like teenagers is actually a positive thing because it doesn't romanticise alcohol or nicotine or drug abuse unlike a lot of other popular teen dramas nowadays.

And even still when there is a show about teenagers, it's either aimed at tweens or adults over the age of 20+. Nothing being released right now is aimed at teens between 14 and 19 where yes swearing and dating is normal, but sex isn't pushed and not everyone smokes or drinks.
