hey! sorry i'm late! i've been drinking again and i literally forgot you existed; i know that sounds horribly mean but please don't take it that way! i drink so much and so often that forgetting people's entire existences is super common for me; i have even forgot my own mother multiple times and we're super close.

i want to thank you for understanding the whole sharing long fic with other people anxiety. i just thought i was being a weirdo at first. as for my mutuals…they're good people, i swear. they just make me nervous sometimes now, is all. hm, let me explain? they're very upfront about not liking iron man franchise characters, and listen i'm not upset about that at all, i don't get bothered about people hating shit that i like or love. i'm fragile but not that fragile, you know? it's just...the things they say about the people who like these characters that are making me...just a tad bit anxious. because..."is that what they think of me?"

"do they think i'm stupid?" "do they think i'm narcissistic?" "do they think i'm brain dead?" "do they think i have internalized racism?" "do they think i'm a white supremacist?"

but they're not talking about me. absolutely none of this is directed to me, specifically. i know this because they still think i hate marvel and the mcu and that i have no interest in the things they reblog. and 2/3 years ago this was very true! i wanted nothing to do with it, i had always scrolled pass any and every post dealing with marvel. thing is, i truly was not expecting my niece to drag me into her interest and for it to become my interest as well.

(she's obsessed with tony, but she absolutely adores riri; i got her an ironheart funko pop for her birthday and ever since then i have never seen her without it. she takes it with her wherever she goes. and yes, it's as adorable as it sounds.)

so since then, i've started to pay attention to what my friends reblog. so i see things now. a lot of things. and maybe i'm being overdramatic! i probably don't have to hide my newfound interest. maybe they wouldn't burn me at the stake for something so simple as liking fictional characters they hate; we've all been very dear friends for seven years now, and i can't imagine a life without them. i know i wouldn't be the same person i am today, that's for sure.

but.

it's the things people say about you when they think you're not there, or not listening, that can heal or hurt you. if...that makes sense as an analogy. since, again, none of it's directed towards me...specifically...yeah i'm probably just being a baby about this.

but hey! other than that shit is super chill, and now you know the reason i'm on anon. and really, you don't have to worry about a thing, everything's a-okay! also, it's hard to detect boundaries over the internet if they're not explicitly stated, so i'm sorry if this ask is too much for you in general, you can delete it and i won't think any less of you for doing so. ~🍜

Typical’ or something which yeah, don’t worry about it, didn’t mean you). Either way, I get being friend with people who dislike Tony and I get being scared of saying something that will make your mutuals hate you. So uh. Can relate. But honestly, if you ever decide to say you like Iron Man, you should really take what your mutuals say with a grain of salt. You can like what you like.

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha

ty nonnie!! i didn’t have the right space for it, but after kohsuke was ripped apart and eaten kuroo stayed by the reader’s side until late in the night, only disappearing when he heard the reader’s parents/search party approaching. they found her lying in pools of blood (and scattered half eaten body parts), shaking and unresponsive – they knew no animal could’ve done something like that. so they knew something lurked in those woods, but considering the reader had repressed the memories, her mom couldn’t just come out and say it <33

GHFJDK so the monster in this is kind of based off the nekomata spirit in japanese folklore - they can appear like people, torment victims by reanimating the corpses of their loved ones, they’ve been blamed for forest fires, so it was just fun to use that as a basis and then go buck wild haha. anyway thanks for the ask bby!

Factually, they're just lines. A machine could be programmed to write lines like that; yes, he might not even be human. It might just be an illusion that has been granted to me. He might not be who he says he is, he might not be anybody at all. They might be lies, because lying is easy under the cloak of anonymity and online, where there's no eye contact, no mimics, no sounds to give you away. I know that it would be easy and that life might be cruel enough to fool me into believing someone would be able to love me. I know they're just lines. But despite all that, I can't help but look at these words and feel like they're not just lines, but hope.

And they make me think that even I could love again, someone who is not Simon Snow. For that, it is not important whether this is real at all, whether anyone could be capable to love me at all, because after all, I am nothing but lines, too.

Simon is lying on the bed, his phone in hand. He doesn't even have the time to look up before I've snatched the phone out of his hand.

“Hey, give that back!” Snow shouts, but I ignore him and scroll through the chat to convince myself it's still there. Snow stands up and tries to take the phone from me, but I push him away. “I like him,” I hiss. “Romantically. That's what you said.” Now he recoils and blushes. “I – I -” I won't listen to his stammering. I push him against the door with my arm and hold him there.

“Did you mean it?” He avoids my gaze. I press harder. This is important.

“Did you say it just to mess with me?” And he looks up. He looks scared, but I can't tell what of.

“No,” he whispers. I hold his gaze. He doesn't look away.

He's telling the truth. I can tell. It's a lot harder to lie in real life than online.

“You like me?” I ask stiffly.

Firstly, I recommend going through pledis17′s faq page, about page and member profiles it’s really helpful! Also go through their tags for official pictures, fantaken pictures, fancams, videos (including eng sub!) and a lot of their other content!

Ok fandom wise, as far as I know from that time to now carats are literally one of the nicest fandom’s I’ve ever been apart of like literally I love them so much. The fandom isn’t perfect, there’s some really not-so-nice fans like some who sexualise the members and like fanwars or yk have done some really shitty things (im not gonna go into detail but I know a few things) but the good fans really out weigh them! Don’t be intimidated to come of anon and talk to me or other members of the fandom trust me you won’t regret it at all!

So I mentioned Seventeen TV earlier and basically before seventeen debuted they had a program that aired on ustream that basically showed them practicing, playing games and other things as well. It was really entertaining and I really enjoyed it! Like seriously you should watch it it’s really funny I’m not even jokingg. 

Sadly, the ustream channel has a password now bUT you can watch some clips or full episodes here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here just to give you a few (I tried to give you as much as I could find really ;A:;;) but really youtube has a lot of videos on it. 

I forgot to mention but during the duration of seventeen tv there were other member but subsequently they left due to various reasons. These members include: Samuel (who was part of the duo 1punch which has now broken up, was on produce101 season 2 and has recently debuted with a bomb ass song), Doyoon (he is training to become an actor i think), Dongjin and MingMing.

They also had another predebut program called Andromeda. Subs can be found here

Right before seventeen debuted a program called Seventeen Project aired. Basically they go through a lot of trials and tests (? i think?) to get them ready for debut! You can watch it subbed here. You should definitely watch this one because you get to know the boys a little better.

For inside jokes this list on amino is literally a god sent but i was updated around january of this year. Speaking of amino, there’s a timeline on it, here. It’s outdated by a year but it’s really helpful as well. (Btw my favourite inside jokes are probably KIMBAP KIDDING and drink water lmao).

I also recommend watching all like17sub’s videos and what17says’s videos as well. As they’ve been subbers in the fandom for a fairly decent amount of time.Kwonvely is a more recent subber but I recommend you watch their subbed videos as well!

Svtunited subs  and SVTdiamond subs haven’t updated in a while but they still have a significant amount of videos, especially from the earlier days!

A really nice way to know the members is through their Vlive channel where they do various live streams. Sadly, some vlives you have have to pay for called vlive+ because vlive likes to make us suffer BUT you can find some of the vlive+ videos in full here. The boys have had a reality show One Fine Day and a more recent one One Fine Day 2. They also have an ongoing series called Going Seventeen. On their Vlive+ there’s a series called ‘Where is my Friend’s home?’ where they basically visit the members’ hometowns (they mostly eat tho lmao). I believe minicarats only has the perf team’s one up right now but I believe the hip hop and vocal teams’ will come out soon. Someone uploaded theirs on youtube but obviously the channel got terminated.

They’ve released some DVDs as well which I totally recommend you watch. Seventeen Boy’s Wish CONCERT (1) (2) (3),  Shining Diamond Concert (1) (2) (3), Seventeen’s 2017 Season Greetings.

ALSO a great way of getting to know the members more is probably from mackenzie - ww’s why we love seventeen series, here, on youtube.I would also recommend her 10 reasons to love seventeen series here as well. Another good one is LoliKitty’s english time series as well, here. (IT kills me everytime lmao). Lolikitty has only 2 kpop meme origins but it explains 2 fandom jokes, jisoos christ and headlines headlines in a really funny way lmao.
