Sharing The Moment | MYG
Pair: Yoongi x reader
Summary: You and your son went to D-Day 3 to support Yoongi. Your son stole the show after appearing on stage and ARMY was absolutely… swooned.
Genre: fluff, established relationship, parents au, married au
WC: 1169
Before the both of you stepped into the stadium, you could feel the ground vibrating from all the fan’s anticipation. The arena felt alive before the real show even started. It was the last day of Yoongi’s D-Day tour in Seoul and all the fans were there early. Whether is it giving out fanmade gifts, food, or drinks, they - Is that a tangerine in her hand? And is that a whole bag of it?!
The atmosphere was electric but for you, today was something even more special. You were not only here as a fan but also as Yoongi’s family. While ARMY’s certainly had eagle eyes, they have yet to catch on that you weren’t the only surprise that day. Your son, Min Ji-Hye, a carbon copy of his dad, was the source of the surprise. His little body was buzzing with energy.
Since young, Ji-Hye has looked up to his father’s music and absolutely idolizes him. Every time Yoongi works from home or comes home with new music, Ji-Hye would demand listening to it even if it is the rawest version. Of course, Yoongi tries to keep the cursing to a minimum whenever Ji-Hye is around.
The both of you found your seats in the middle catalogs which the staff has reserved especially for the both of you. Ensuring that Ji-Hye wouldn’t fall off his bumper seat, you started to set the area for the both of you so that you wouldn’t miss a single second to find some water. You were so engrossed in ensuring that your son had everything he needed that you didn’t realise Jin and Hobi were standing right next to you.
You jumped when you felt a light tap on your shoulder, immediately turning around with large eyes, hoping that you wouldn’t cause trouble for your husband if you got mobbed or something during his concert. But you found two laughing figures and calmed down once you heard Jin’s signature laugh.
“Yah, don’t scare me like that!” You chided.
“It was you who weren’t paying attention! We were here the whole time!”
You were about to shoot back another snarky remark when - “Seoul, ARE YOU READY?”
Cheers from all directions engulfed you as fireworks lit up the stage. Yoongi came blasting from the backstage and no matter how many times you have been to BTS concerts, you never get tired of seeing them perform. The raw passion in their movements and voices always ensures that the audience has one of the best concerts.
You turned over to see Ji-Hye at the edge of his seat, eyes glued to the stage. You had dressed him in Yoongi’s stage outfit, complete with a cap that looked a few sizes too big (it was taken from Yoongi’s closet). With his cat-like eyes and gummy smile, he was essentially Yoongi 2.0.
Watching your son sing and jump to the lyrics of his father, your lips curled upwards in a loving smile. While he didn’t quite understand the depth and innuendos of the songs, he was enjoying himself and you knew how much this concert meant to him. With the news of Yoongi’s enlistment, you knew that your time together would be cut short for two years.
You had told him that telling ARMY a day after the concert wasn’t going to be the best decision but management pulled through so it was scheduled as it is. So both of you continued to enjoy the concert with the new addition of Uncle Namjoon.
As the music filled the stadium, Yoongi delivered an electrifying performance, pouring his heart and soul into every lyric. His presence on stage was magnetic and the fans were completely enthralled. You thought that you could hold back the tears as he broke down in front of all his fans but the tears streamed down your cheeks, staining them in a salty caress.
Amidst the sea of fans, Ji-Hye suddenly squirmed and wriggled his way past the people in front of him. Running down the steps, you tried to catch him when Namjoon suddenly grabbed your wrist. “He’s safe, don’t worry. There are guards everywhere.”
But you couldn’t help but worry. What if he got lost? What if fans start to swarm around him and he can’t make it to Yoongi or any of the guards in time? Your heart skipped a beat as you saw his little figure making his way up the stage. There was a collective gasp from the fans nearby as they realised what was happening.
The surrounding security personnel recognised him and allowed him to approach the stage, guiding him carefully so that he didn’t fall down the large steps. Yoongi had just finished a ‘Life Goes On’ and was taking a moment to catch his breath when he saw little feet running up towards him. His eyes widened and broke out into a huge grin when he saw him, squatting down to his level and spreading his arms. The fans, realising that he was Yoongi’s son, started to cheer even louder.
The moment Ji-Hye crashed into Yoongi, every ounce of fear that Ji-Hye would be afraid of the cheers washed away in that instance. Yoongi scooped him up, hugging him tightly as your son laughed into the microphone, causing another wave of cheers to vibrate the stadium. It was a moment of pure, unscripted love between a father and his son. You stared at the two most important people in your life on stage, celebrating as if they were the only ones in the world.
The fans were absolutely swooning - taking in this whole scene with hearty eyes and red faces - their hearts melted by the sheer adorableness of the scene. They watched as Ji-Hye whispered something into Yoongi’s ear and Yoongi’s eyes sparkled with amusement and affection.
Yoongi turned to the fans, holding Ji-Hye high above his head like the scene from Lion King. “This is my son, Min Ji-Hye.” He announced proudly. “He’s a little ARMY like all of you.”
The fans erupted into cheers, shouting their love for both Yoongi and his son. Ji-Hye waved at the crowd, his gummy smile wide, grinning from ear to ear. Your heart felt so big that it was going to explode.
As the concert continued, Yoongi held Ji-Hye in his arms, dancing with him on stage during a couple of songs. It was a moment of pure joy and it was clear that this concert had become something extraordinary - not just for the fans but for Yoongi and your family.
After the concert, Yoongi was still beaming with light as he continued to hold Ji-Hye in his arms. “You know, you stole the show today.” He chuckled to his son.
Ji-Hye looked up at his father, eyes shining with admiration. “Daddy!” He swung his little legs. “I wanna be just like you when I grow up!”
Yoongi’s heart swelled with love. “You can be anything you want. Just remember to always be yourself.”

thinking about lloyd’s LOT bts photos and cant help but imagine dadrry and his children in these photos.
i just can’t stop thinking of how many bts photos lloyd would take of them!!
lloyd would post a pt. 2 of the LOT dump and one of the photos would be of him and y/n. he’s shirtless and they’re in one of the back rooms of the stadium. the picture is captured when they’re resting on the black leather couch, his ringed fingers are on her thigh and her chin is on his shoulder as she gleams up. they’re both staring into each others eyes with all the love in the world and it’s just so !!!!
another one would be of harry and his two youngest children. they’re all wearing matching love on tour merch shirts. it’s just so cute!! the small children are smiling at the camera as they show off the Finale shirts, as do their father.
lloyd would also have a photo of just their two children in the crowd of the final show. One on Anne’s hip and the other on Y/n’s. Their noise reducing headphones are on as they watch their father in admiration and it’s just the softest thing ever.
he wouldn’t just post harry ofc… some of the rest of the band, some of y/n by herself in the Finale LOT shirt.
lloyd captures of photo of y/n posing with a fan made shirt that said “i love my husband” with a photo of him in the middle. she’s like pointing to the shirt and she’s perfectly in frame.
okay that’s enough for now

something something Daniel used to be in a boy band- think Backstreet Boys, *Nsync and BTS levels of fame. And Max was one of his fans when he was younger- posters on the wall, went to the stadium tours with Vic.
Anyway, its been a few years removed from the fame and glitz and Daniel stays in the background now, producing and doing music and sound scores for movies and tv. Max is an engineer or architect, some technical job. They meet cute at somewhere unlikely, maybe a yacht party.
They're chatting and laughing and Max doesn't realize its 'Daniel Ricciardo from RBR' until the dj, who is a friend of Daniel's, plays one of the old hits and everyone starts laughing when Daniel flips him off good naturedly.
Cue him being a little star struck, less so since he's an adult who truly doesn't give a fuck about fame and celebrity. But this was Daniel. The man younger him told his sister seriously that he wanted to marry. He never anticipated ever meeting him, or that Daniel was such a lovely person.
Anyway, they end up dating and getting married. the end.
#don't mind me. I'm listening to a boy band playlist rigth now and I just actually finished a fic#so i guess im in a little writing mood#maxiel#max/daniel#pop superstar daniel#?? does that make sense?#something something

Wow.
I can't leave to enjoy a few days vacation without the world falling apart?
Hybe vs. Min HeeJin. Not on anyone's bingo card this year. I have not caught up on everything but who tipped off Hybe about her dastardly plans? The timing of it all... and her little extemporaneous skit she did for a press conference was perhaps part of her plan to turn public opinion in her favor? She claims to have invented kpop or at least made it what it is today but out the other side of her mouth says she hates idol culture?
Hybe's not here to play, they will not be nice. I see no benefit to her for showing us the not so pretty side of the idol industry. Maybe that's her problem, she can't see what she's doing because she's too far into it. Thirty years in the business will make you lose your objectivity. She has no idea she is coming across as a greedy, spoiled, entitled, manipulative, narcissistic, emotional female in a male dominated industry. Basically a nut case.
The lady had a tremendous opportunity to perhaps take ownership of her company in due time, become a great example for female leadership in a country where corporate culture is steeped in chaebolism. Instead she squandered that and thinks she will come out on top. Did she miss the Hybe vs. SM Entertainment episode from last year?
Anyway.
RM's new album! RPWP!
The Monochrome pop up store is doing well!
Jin will be back after 6 Fridays!
In other news. I went to Las Vegas. This is what I saw:
The Bellagio Fountains. They're huge. The Bellagio is SWANK. I looked for Jimin in Dior and Tiffany, Hobi in the Louis Vuitton store, Namjoon in the Bottega Veneta store, but none of them were in there. There was no Calvin Klein store.
When Hobi, JK and Tae were there watching the fountains dance to Dynamite, they were standing here:
Passed by Allegiant Stadium a few times. It's huge.
Drove out to Seven Magic Mountains. I am happy to report the lowest boulders had no writing or graffiti. They were amazingly huge as you can see.
Joon's pic of the above rocks:
Went to AREA 15 and it was HUGE and amazing! It's impossible to show everything that its about, there are multiple buildings and installations and activities, gift shops, bars, etc. We went into the Omega Mart (mega art) experience which led to a maze of fantastically created chambers, each different from the last one, all pulsing with animated lights, texture walls, ceilings and floors.
And ate at Hobak Korean BBQ. We couldn't find out which tables the members of BTS sat at but I got a pic of the Butter album they all signed. There were other autographs from other famous Korean celebs but the BTS signatures were displayed in a more prominent place on the wall.
We also scoped out The Sphere. Also HUGE. The concert space is arena sized. I don't know who was playing there that night but the parking lot was filling up.
We also walked the Strip.
The Fremont Street Experience. That's an animated video screen overhead with ziplines running through the length of it. It's two blocks of casinos, restaurants and gift shops. People are also doing busking and shows at street level.
Hoover Dam, view of the dam from the highway bridge and view of the highway bridge from the dam. Spent a few minutes on the Arizona side.
Hiked in the desert. Saw cactus and wildlife. Drank a lot of water.
Drove to the Mojave Desert Preserve in California just to say we did.
We hated leaving. It was a fun trip. But damn, I have so much stuff to catch up on now. Hiatus my ass.
If Vegas is on the BTS comeback tour I promise I will be there this time.
We gambled at the airport on our way out. The slot machines were next to our gate. And in the baggage claim area. But as you can see, its not just about gambling there.
In case you didn't get it, everything in Vegas is HUUUGGE and FARRRR. Walk a lot, spend a lot of money.
Overall, Las Vegas was clean, the people were extremely friendly and welcoming of course, they might be teaching hospitality as a school subject there, I don't know.
#what happens in vegas stays in vegas#until i post all my pics here#so regretful that i didnt go to ptd in vegas#we also unknowingly drove past the millenium dance center#where bts rehearsed while in las vegas

GRACE TOUR DIARY: April 3rd 2025 - New York City
The red roses were the first thing Grace woke up to the next morning. She could see them in their vase as they sat on the vanity table of the bedroom of her hotel suite, and the team had already packed away the teddy bear. It was going to be a long but hectic day—soundcheck, go through any rehearsals of pieces that needed a last-minute touch, and then it would be the concert, and afterwards, straight to the airport to head to Seoul.
It was a little vacation, but at the same time, the concert that the idol industry and the government had put together as a tribute to BTS had fallen right in the middle of her tour. It was a little amusing that they would do this after everything that they had put BTS as a group through.
None of the boys would be performing, with those in the military given leave to attend. It had been put to her while she was planning her own concert whether she would attend or perform, seeing as she would be the only member to do so (something she questioned as to why she would be the only one performing but it was easier to bite your lip and say nothing).
There had been a lot of secret planning and a lot of secret rehearsals with those idols and groups already signed up, and somehow Seokjin had found out. He had accidentally seen the concert plans and set list, seeing Grace’s name predominantly with some of their hardest yet popular songs. Sworn to secrecy, Seokjin locked his mouth up, threw away the key, and said nothing.
Yet the red roses and the note meant he hadn’t forgotten she would be flying into Seoul tomorrow, undercover to hide the fact she was back in the country.
But that was later, and right now, Grace had to perform on the last night of the American leg of her tour.
Second nights were always easy—it was the same thing; maybe one or two costume changes added a bit of variety to the night—same venue, crew, dancers, city. There had been no major hiccups other than one VCR didn’t play on time for when it was needed, and some dancers wanted a run-through of two songs, In My Head and Dangerous Woman. Everyone knew the songs like the back of their hands, but sometimes a refresher was needed.
After all, it had been a while since they had put together the concert with all the songs, VCRs, costumes, and dance routines.
A long, refreshing shower woke up Grace, and she could see that her blonde dye would need a top-up soon. That would need to be added to the list of things to do the moment she got to Seoul, and that list was growing every moment.
“Just think about your own concert, not that one coming up,” she muttered to herself as she changed into her casual clothes to go and get breakfast and meet up with the team.
There was nothing to report over breakfast, and with plenty of time until she had to drive over to the Barclays Center, she packed up everything in her room and mournfully looked at the red roses. They wouldn’t be able to come on the flight with her, and as much as she wanted to take them with her, it wasn’t going to be practical. So the note was tucked carefully into her purse and with instructions to give the flowers to someone who would appreciate them for longer than she could, Grace was ready to go home.
Rehearsals went smoothly, and any little knots were worked out. Dancers were happy, the team were happy, the venue staff were happy, people selling food and merchandise were happy, and all Grace had to do was wait.
She hated waiting and was one of the most impatient people in the group, always just wanting to get on stage and just go for it. The wait to get into costume, grab her mic, pump up her dancers, and then finally, finally, get on stage - it allowed for unwanted thoughts to creep into the mind.
What if no one turned up? You sold out the stadium for two nights in 10 seconds.
What if there was a threat? There is plenty of security and police around to stop it.
What if you mess up? You’ve done this job for nearly thirteen years, so what?
As the costume for the opening segment slid up her legs, Grace allowed herself to relax. The chatter of the staff and the noise of the crowd above her allowed the nervousness and anxiety to wash away. The moment the mic was in her hand and her team was pumped up, the idol persona washed over her, and in that moment she was Grace of BTS.
“New York!”
The crowd was even louder than the night before. The lights, the signs, the costumes, the people - it was just bigger and louder and more hyped up than anything she had seen. It was as if they knew this would be the last time they would see a BTS member until they were all back together again and back for their world tour.
“Welcome to the In My Head tour! Are you ready to help me finish this leg of the tour?”
Grace grinned at the noise in return and nodded, letting the crowd and their feelings hype her up through every performance.
And when it got towards the end, when they knew the BTS song was coming, the noise grew.
“This is the last night of the American leg of the tour, and it seemed only right to have this song for this moment. I just wanted to say thank you to all of the team, staff, dancers, band, venue staff, and, of course, ARMY. You have come out in your thousands to fill up this stadium of 17,000. And to those who are outside, I hope to see you all soon when we will hopefully be back as an eight. Until then, let me remind you of a special place.”
The instrumental of Magic Shop soon started, and it took all of Grace’s professionalism not to stop singing and burst into tears. Hearing 17,000 voices sing along to a Korean song that was written with ARMY in mind, and after all the hard work, pressure, tiredness, and sickness and everything else that came along with creating this tour, this song meant more than anything.
She had a good cry in Sejin’s arms when she got backstage, and her bodyguard stood in front of them, not even letting the normal BANGTAN BOMB cameras capture this moment. Every bit of emotion that had been built up from releasing her own solo album to now was coming over in a wave of tears. Sniffling quietly as the make-up artists cleared her face of make-up, her last costume off and packed away, and she was back in normal clothes as handfuls of tissues were passed her way.
“Sorry,” she chuckled as she wiped her nose.
“Nothing to be sorry for,” Sejin sighed. “I’m surprised this hasn’t happened already. The Grammy's, I think, were a good sign of you starting to realise what the music industry and the world think of you, and it wasn’t because of what band you belong to.”
“It was just listening to them all sing Magic Shop. It was as if I felt every bit of their emotion and thought in that one song. That all their worries and happy thoughts came at me at once, knowing they were happy to see me but sad at the same time because who knows when we can come back here?” The tissue in her hands was replaced with a new one from her bodyguard and Grace let out a huge sigh.
“I want to go home,” she chuckled and rubbed a hand over her face.
While some of the team were going to stay behind to pack up costumes and make sure they arrived at the next location as well as the stage, the rest of them would be heading home for a little break. Not that Grace, Sejin, Hana, the bodyguards, or the make-up/costume team were going to have much time.
The drive to the airport was quiet. The Barclays Center faded from view, as well as the few concertgoers still hanging around. And the lights of the highway from Brooklyn down to Queens illuminated the car now and then, and finally, the JFK airport came into view.
Check-in was handled quietly and discreetly, with the private plane ready to go. As much as Grace had baulked at the idea of even having a private plane, especially one that would fly to Seoul, the government had already booked it for her to make sure that she flew home safely and arrived on time to get to rehearsals for their tribute concert.
It was awkward getting on a plane where everyone treated you like you were royalty, but once she was in her seat with a blanket thrown over her, Grace didn’t care. There were fifteen hours of flying to get through and much-needed sleep to be caught up on.
But first.
Grace pulled out her phone and opened up the messages to Seokjin.
‘ On the plane and ready to fly home. See you in about sixteen hours.’
The reply came just as she fell asleep.
‘I’m already counting down the minutes. See you at the airport. Love you.’

BTS Dating Series #14: First Time You See Him Perform
Members x Reader
Genre/Rate: 18+, fluff
Summary: Your first time seeing your boyfriend do what he does the best.
Warnings: None to note.
Kim Seokjin
“You sit here, Jagi,” Jin murmured as he led you over to a chair that was set up on the side of the Music Bank stage and waited until you had sat down on it before he squatted down in front of you. “You sure you’re gonna be ok here?”
“Jin, stop worrying,” you giggled as you reached out and mushed his cheeks, laughing harder when he spluttered and shook his head back and forth rapidly. “I’m the one that wanted to come and watch your music show taping, remember?”
“I know but the day can get kind of long sometimes so I just wanted to be sure,” he explained.
“I’m good, promise,” you assured him before leaning forward and pressing a quick kiss to his lips. “Go do your thing.”
“Alright,” Jin nodded before standing up straight and walking over to join the other members as they made their way on stage. Once they were in their places, “Just One Day” began to play and you smiled as they began to sing. You found yourself bopping your head along to the beat and mouthing the fanchant along with the ARMYs in the crowd.
Once Jin’s part came in the bridge, you couldn’t help but to giggle as Jin held out the rose and winked towards the camera. Throughout your relationship with Jin, it often felt like he loved to torture you by being the most charismatic man on Earth but watching him on stage, you realized that he only felt comfortable enough to show off in front of ARMYs, his members, and now you as well. That thought made you smile to yourself and before you knew it, the song had ended and the members thanked the ARMYs that came to watch before filing off stage.
“What did you think?” Jin asked after making his way over to you.
“Perfect,” you praised him. “Absolutely perfect.”
Min Yoongi
“He didn’t tell me that they were doing this song,” you muttered to yourself from your spot standing backstage when the beginning of your favorite song, Tomorrow, started to play. The group was in Tokyo, performing at the Dome stadium and you were more than happy to come along with Yoongi when he invited you to come watch.
When it got to Yoongi’s rapping part, you found yourself falling silent as he began to recite the lyrics. The song always resonated with you, the reality of “adulting” having hit you hard once you got into your 20s. You appreciated how honest Yoongi and the rest of the members were about what it was like being a young adult attempting to figure out your spaces in life, which is why Tomorrow had easily become one of their favorite songs of yours.
“Like breaker,” you shouted out the lyrics, bobbing your head along as the performance went off without a hitch. Once they finished, it was time for a costume change and just as he had with the previous two costume changes, Yoongi spent his talking to you.
“You didn’t tell me Tomorrow was on the set list,” you mentioned and Yoongi shrugged with a smug smile on his face.
“Didn’t feel the need to,” he replied and you just rolled your eyes playfully before leaning over and pressing a kiss to his lips.
“Thanks,” you said, already having a good hunch that he had purposefully included the song for just you.
“You’re welcome,” Yoongi smiled softly.
Kim Namjoon
“ARMYs, how you feeling out there?!” Namjoon shouted into the microphone, receiving a wave of almost deafening screams in response. The group was on tour and were currently stopped in London, where the show had been going perfectly. You were standing backstage, watching with a large smile as your boyfriend commanded the stage for his solo song.
“As many of you know, this is the part where I do my solo song Trivia: Love,” Namjoon began. “And I thought I’d give you guys a little background on the song. I always thought of myself as a person who would have a hard time giving and receiving love in a romantic relationship but that all changed about seven months ago. I met someone and she’s here tonight.” The crowd cheered loudly and you felt your cheeks heat up from being put on the spot.
“I’m not entirely sure where she is right now because I haven’t seen her since before the concert started,” Namjoon chuckled. “But Y/N-ah, you’ve given me a love that I thought was only possible in books and movies. You’ve changed me for the better and I feel so lucky to have you in my life. This song is for you, literally and metaphorically. Here’s Trivia: Love!”
Throughout the whole song, you couldn’t keep the smile off your face as the lyrics Namjoon had written took on a whole new meaning for you. By the time Namjoon had come backstage to change after his solo and the next medley with the rest of the members, you were a teary eyed mess.
“Was that ok?” Namjoon asked as he cupped your face in his hands. “I know I didn’t talk to you before hand but it just felt right in the moment and I-”
“Joon, it was absolutely perfect,” you assured him, nodding your head up and down rapidly. “And I love you too.”
Jung Hoseok
“You sure you’ll be ok out here in the crowd by yourself?” Hobi wondered and you nodded your head. The two of you were at the All Force One festival, where Hobi and Yoongi were getting ready to join Namjoon on stage as his special guests.
“Stop worrying Mom, I’m good,” you teased, making him roll his eyes.
“Sue me for being concerned about you,” he grumbled. “If you need to take a breather though, our manager is right by the stage. I already asked him to look out for you.”
“I will, I promise,” you nodded. “Now, go.” After pressing a quick kiss to your cheek, Hobi disappeared into the crowd and you passed the time of the intermission by sipping on your drink. Namjoon came back on stage and after talking a little bit, Cypher pt. 2 started and Hobi and Yoongi came out on stage. The crowd went wild and you had to admit, you were a little taken aback by how excited everyone was. You and Hobi had known each other for almost two years by this point and had been dating for around six months, but this was the first time you saw Hobi in his element.
He was so confident, even though he hadn’t been rapping as long as Namjoon and Yoongi had, and you couldn’t take your eyes off of him. Not that you were trying though, because he was fantastic.
Once the show ended, you pushed your way through the crowd and ended up making your way backstage where Hobi was talking to Namjoon and Yoongi.
“You did so good!” You squealed as you bounded over and hugged him tightly.
“I guess your first show surpassed your expectations then, huh?” Hobi chuckled.
“You have no idea,” you smiled.
Park Jimin
You wrapped your arms around yourself, attempting (and failing) to stay warm in the cold December air in New York. You were in the heart of Times’ Square on New Years’ Eve, waiting to watch Bangtan perform for a New Years’ Eve special.
“You doing ok, baby?” Jimin checked with you and you nodded your head even though you could feel your toes getting cold.
“I’m good. Excited to finally see you perform live,” you smiled.
“I’ll try to do well for you,” Jimin told you before pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. Just then, one of the managers called out to him so Jimin walked over to join the group and you bounced in place to try to get your blood flowing.
“Now, here with their songs ‘Make It Right’ and their smash hit single ‘Boy With Luv’, here’s BTS!” Ryan Seacrest announced and the crowd went wild as Bangtan stepped onto the stage. After doing a little snippet of Make It Right, they quickly moved into Boy With Luv and you found yourself automatically singing along to the words. Jimin was doing an amazing job, the dance moves flowing effortlessly through his body as he sung beautifully.
Towards the last chorus, Jimin moved into his position in the center but somehow, his jacket that he was wearing ended up getting stuck on top of his head. Instead of panicking, he went with it, making funny faces at his members which caused them to laugh as well. He ended up fixing it and the song ended, to thunderous applause from the ARMYs in the crowd.
“You did so good!” You praised as you met Jimin as he walked off stage and he just sighed heavily.
“I messed up with my jacket,” he pouted.
“Hey, you still sounded great,” you assured him. “And it was so freaking cute.”
“You think?”
“Absolutely,” you stated firmly, making him smile before he kissed you passionately.
Kim Taehyung
You stood behind the large camera that was placed on the television set, watching with a smile as Bangtan performed their latest title track for a London-based television show. Taehyung had invited you along to watch and you couldn’t help but to be in awe of how grand the production was.
You hadn’t really seen Taehyung perform with the full group before and now that you were, you couldn’t help but to kick yourself for dragging your feet on it so long. Taehyung was amazing, his movements subtle and strong and that gorgeous, velvet voice of his had you in an almost trance-like state.
“And let’s give it up for BTS!” The host said once the song ended and you clapped as softly as you could (since you were right behind the camera) as the members took a bow. After the light that showed the camera was rolling went off, the group stepped down off of the stage and began to make their way backstage. Taehyung instantly paced over to you, wrapping his arm around your waist as the two of you started to walk together.
“You did amazing Tae,” you gushed. “I was literally in shock and awe.”
“Really?” Taehyung chuckled. “You can tell me the truth, you know? You don’t have to flatter me.”
“I wouldn’t lie,” you giggled. “Honestly, I loved it.”
“Well, I love you and I think that’s more important,” he cooed, leaning over and brushing his nose against the side of your head.
“You’re gross,” you huffed, even though your heart warmed from his words.
Jeon Jungkook
“You ready for this?”
“Yes.”
“Are you sure?”
“Jungkook,” you laughed. “I’m just going to watch the show from backstage. You’re acting like I’m the one about to perform for thousands of people and not you.”
“Hey, I just wanna make sure you’re ready for all the talent you’re about to see up there,” Jungkook smirked, making you roll your eyes playfully. You were on tour with Bangtan and this show in Berlin was going to be the first time you saw Jungkook live on stage.
“You just worry about getting up there and doing good,” you told him as you cupped his face before pressing a firm kiss to his lips. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he nodded before kissing you again. Just then, the members got the notice that it was almost time for them to go up on stage so after a third and final kiss, Jungkook pulled away from you and went to get into his position. You moved over to watch the show from a screen and you saw the lights on the stage come on after the end of the VCR.
The music came on and the stage began to lift into the air, the sounds of the cheering from ARMYs almost becoming deafening. Once the stage lifted, Jungkook opened his mouth and began to sing the first lines of the song. You mouth dropped open slightly as you literally watched him transform from the boyfriend you saw all the time in your apartment to the Golden Maknae.
“Holy shit,” you gasped, a smile spreading onto your face as you watched him come alive.

MIYA Kicks of Her Solo Tour, and I Went to All Three Days in Seoul
By: Shin Yeseul || 11:30 AM || June 17, 2024
MIYA started her tour “Headliner 2024” with three days in Jamsil Olympic Stadium!
Back in 2017, I wasn’t an ARMY, but I randomly ran into Miya. We talked for a bit, and her personality made me want to check out her music. Since then, I became a fan, and I managed to get tickets to all three days of the Initial Seoul stop with the help of my friend Yongsun (I love you, thank you).
I’m here to share my experience on day 1.
First of all, her stage outfits were amazing! My favorite was her act 2 outfit, which she posted on her Instagram account. I’ve included some photos in the cover of this blog post!
Before the concert even began, music videos were playing! Not just her music videos, but also BTS music videos! Although, as a Czennie as well, I’d have to say seeing the video of Miya and Mark’s SM Station both surprised me and made me sad (I miss them as a couple T.T).
Aside from the usual guidelines and lightstick connecting videos, there was a notice shown on the screens every now and then about 45% of the ticket and merchandise sales from “Headliner 2024” would go to medical and relief missions to help the people of Palestine, just like she said in her live a week prior to the concert.
At 6PM precisely, the lights turned off and the opening VCR started. It was insane, it showed some of the biggest scandals she was victim to from the early petition to remove her all the way to the last name fiasco. Then it showed her solo debut and all her achievements as a soloist and a producer, composer, music engineer, and lyricist.
Then the first act started. It began with “My House”, the first “Oh” playing without music and Miya’s silhouette appeared. There was a pause, and chills went through me as everyone’s cheers grew louder. There was the musicless chant of “Who they came to see? Me!” with the white cloth coming down at the word “me” and revealing Miya. There was another moment of silence. Goosebumps rose on my skin as she scanned the crowd. Then, the moment she smirked, the music started up again. No words can express how exhilarating the opening felt. “My House” is definitely the best song to start off a concert titled “Headliner 2024”.
She gave a ment after “My House” to welcome everyone to the tour, then finished the act with “Picture”, “Play”, another ment, “Drama”, then “Holy Moly” before the lights turned off for the next VCR to play.
The VCR started with news outlets discussing her change in “Blood, Sweat, and Tears”, saying she’d be better off not going into sexy concepts. It was at that moment that we all knew the next act would be the more recent songs. We were right. The VCR showed the reactions to her Chapter 2 Comebacks with the more mature concepts.
Act 2, which had my favorite outfit, began with low pink lighting and “bet u wanna” and “got her own”. Her ment was quicker, joking around about making sure minors who came to her concert had either their parent’s consent or a guardian with them. She continued the act with “7 rings”, “b.i.t.c.h.”, and crowd favorite “bloodline”. This act had her more interacting with the audience in comparison to Act 1 that was solely performance.
The next VCR began, this time showing netizens’ comments about how she seemed to be too different from the other members of Bangtan. It played a clip from an interview for her solo debut of her saying “People said I was different from the oppas, so I decided to actually show them what different is”.
Act 3 started off with a y2k vibe based on the songs “Shooting Star”, “Blue Flame”, and “Thirsty”. After her ment, she picked up the mood with “AYAYAYA”, “Wow Thing”, and “SHHH!”, which got everyone excited.
No one was prepared for the next act.
The VCR was different from the others. The screen was black, and an excerpt from one of her interviews on her solo debut schedules played: the audio of her saying “the members? They’re everything to me”. There was no background music when it showed seven different clips of her hugging each member before they enlisted. At the end of everything, there was a video of her getting into a car, the visuals fading to black while a reporter’s voice played saying “Now that the BTS boys are all enlisted, Miya is officially on her own for a while.”.
The lights slowly went on, showing Miya on the extended stage, guitar in her arms. Everyone’s hearts broke as she performed “breathe” live in front of an audience for the first time. She followed it with “Clued Up” before going into a ment.
She asked us all if it was okay to slow things down for a bit and to take a moment to introduce some people in the crowd who meant a lot to her. The screens behind her shifted to show people in the crowd, seated together and all looking a little confused before waving at everyone and waving their lightsticks around.
It was all seven boys of BTS.
I still remember vividly the smile on Miya’s face when the seven of them were shown on the screen. She smiled and introduced them one by one and asked them what they thought of the concert. The boys showed various versions of approval from different hearts to thumbs ups and head nods. “Glad to hear you’re enjoying. I have a surprise for you, if ARMY don’t mind.”
We all cheered, thinking she would perform “Mikrokosmos”, or “Magic Shop”. She carried her guitar over to a piano that was lifted onto the stage near her and sat there. I can’t explain the rush we all felt when Jungkook’s masked face was zoomed into on one screen the moment Miya began playing the opening notes of “Euphoria”.
Miya performed one of the members’ solo songs each, completely acoustic, and each time, the song owner’s masked face was zoomed into on one screen while she was shown on the other screen, making it look like they were facing each other.
She did “Euphoria” for Jungkook, “Inner Child” for V, “Serendipity” for Jimin, “Closer” for RM, “On The Street” for J-Hope, “Snooze” for Suga, and “The Astronaut” for Jin.
Were we all tearing up? Yeah, but so were the tannies! Once she finished everything, she got up and smiled into the crowd, in the direction of the boys. While walking backwards up the runway to the main stage, she thanked them for coming and for being her strength and her family before she introduced the last song of the concert. She performed “Trivia: Why”.
Of course, even if she said that was the end, we all knew it wasn’t. We had ARMY Time, where we all sang “LOVE”’s first verse and chorus.
Then, the lights dimmed again, and the band started playing “Nonsense”, her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. She changed the second verse (her original part in her collaboration) into a rap! Not to mention, she came from the crowd! She walked around while performing, taking photos with, hugging, waving at, and interacting with ARMY the whole time. Yongsun and I were a little sad she didn’t get to go to where the tannies were, but they were on the third floor of audience, so it was understandable.
She ended the song on the main stage where she began “Hype Boy”! She’d dance during the chorus, but interact with fans during the verses. Before the last chorus, the music vamped, and she introduced each of her band one by one. It was an all-woman band! She then introduced her dancers, all of which came from the dance studio that she and Jungkook set up and fund together: “Do Studios”.
After the last chorus of "Hype Boy", she thanked her friends who came. For Day 1, it was the tannies, her brothers Yoonsung and Chan, Chan brought Felix and Leeknow with him, the whole of NCT Dream + Jungwoo, the whole of TXT, Kep1er’s Yujin and Bahiyyih, The Boyz’s Sunoo and Eric, the whole of Enhypen, and Boy Next Door’s Myung Jaehyun.
Day 2 had the tannies, Viviz’s Umji, Red Velvet’s Yeri, the whole of SHINee, Chungha, Kiss of Life’s Julie, Hori7on’s Marcus, Unis’s Elisia and Gehlee, and Aespa’s Ningning.
Day 3 had the tannies and her family members, who had flown in from Australia to watch her. That’s her mom, her dad, Yoonsung (with Eunseol, Yoonseol, and Hanseol), Chan, Hannah, and their youngest brother.
These are just those she mentioned, you can find threads on twitter of other idols who watched her concert. She even reposted some of their stories or posts about it on her Instagram stories!
But she never failed to mention how thankful she was to ARMY, not just for coming to see her, but for also being a part of her effort to help people in need.
With that, she ended the whole concert with “good parts” and “Celebrity” all while roaming through the crowd and interacting with people as much as she could from both the ground and the main and extended stages.
All in all, I would say “Headliner 2024” was an amazing experience, from the song choices to the VCRs to the emotions to the cause and all the way to Miya herself. There’s a reason every location sold out in an average of 2 minutes.

"Yes, it is 12 albums for sure, but we’re going to be a bit later than that [initially planned last album in 2025]. There’s one more thing, which is a musical. [That’s] album number 11, but that might have to come out after album 12 because of how long musicals take to animate.
Our last single is on this album, and that’s called ‘All My Love’. That’s the last ‘single’ single. We have the musical thing, then an album just called ‘Coldplay’, which is the final one. I think that will be a year late – I know it will be.
It doesn’t mean we won’t tour or finish some compilation things or outtakes or whatever. It just means that the main story is told. That’s just what feels really right. Just knowing that’s happening supercharges all the work we’re doing now.
A combination of that 12 album deadline plus working with Max Martin means that we’re approaching everything with the same, if not more, hunger than right at the beginning. You don’t want to dilute the early stuff too much.
To the people that might be freaked out when you do a song with BTS, or freaked out when we dropped the acoustic guitar: don’t worry, it’ll all make sense in the end.
[After the 12th album Chris and the band will be] Touring, curating. What Liam [Gallagher] has just done with ‘Definitely Maybe’ has reignited that album. We will get to a point where it will be fun to not re-release but remember the earlier stuff and enjoy it again and do things specific to those periods. I have an idea for another type of show that’s more of a hotch-potch of everything. Maybe it’s not always about trying to be in stadiums, but you can do small things where you try and play the odd songs. I think it would also be nice to help younger artists a bit.
It’s like when someone becomes a football pundit and stops trying to score goals. I feel that within a few years, it might go a bit more that way for myself. Not right now. Right now I’m super hungry and so excited to go to work every day. It’s such a clear picture of what we’re supposed to be doing.”
- Chris Martin talking about the band's last 2 albums and plans for the future in the NME's interview | 01.10.2024
P.S. "You can see why he’s reticent to talk about the inspiration behind his music, especially when it’s the means to an end of a coping mechanism – and now it’s a very real end." (Words by Andrew Trendell)

Jikook Week 17 Complete ✔️(02/04-09/04/2024)
Their seventeenth week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2019.
This week marked the end of the original Love Yourself Tour which took place between August 2018 and April 2019*. On the 5th April, BTS headed to Thailand for two nights at the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok.
The concerts were on the 6th and 7th April 2019. There is a full recording of the second day which I have included here. You can even pick out the song you want to watch from the index. As well as group songs, there is the Jikook Euphoria and Serendipity solos.
youtube
On the 7th, after the concert, Jimin also posted on Twitter "I am truly happy that this LY tour ended successfully. It was thanks to our ARMYs who supported us and loved us. We worked hard on this album too, so please look forward to it. Please look forward to the next tour as well. Thank you and love you"
BTS headed back to Seoul the next day but there was no time to relax. As Jimin mentioned in his Tweet they were already gearing up for the release of Map of the Soul: Persona on the 12th April 2019.
The lead song was Boy with Luv featuring Halsey.
youtube
This week some of the concept photos for the new album dropped with Jimin looking particularly devastating with peach hair.
This photoshoot also included the Jikook matching Loverboy fits.
Have you noticed how kpop promos lean heavily into oral? It's difficult to miss here what with the toothbrushes, the fruit and even the roses and Jikook aren't even the worst offenders. Look at Namjoon and Hoseok here. Okay okay, my attention has been duly directed. I see what you did there.
On 10th April they headed off to the US to promote the new album.
It really was non-stop!
*A stadium extension to the tour, titled BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself, took place from 4th May 4 to 29th October 2019.

Under the Light of the ARMY Bomb | KNJ
Pair: Namjoon x idol reader
Summary: Surprising your long-distance boyfriend as a singer has its perks. But when an unexpected double surprise came for ARMY’s in the stadium that day, it was the absolute highlight of the event.
Genre: Pure tooth-rotting fluff, idol reader, idol Namjoon, established relationship au
WC: 1189
If you are ARMY, regardless of whether you have attended BTS concerts in person or virtually or even if you were just watching through clips, you know the exhilarating energy that they possess. Together with that, ARMY’s cheers and sing-alongs make the environment a thoroughly different environment.
Today marks the last day of the world tour for BTS and they were performing at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. Even standing outside, you were already alight with energy, a sea of ARMY’s waving their light sticks and singing along to the electrifying performance on stage. From the little slit along the stages, you saw Namjoon commanding the stage with his powerful presence, leading his members with equal amounts of charisma.
Every time, you would be part of the audience - a part of ARMY. But today will be unlike any other. Today, you had fully intended to join them on stage and give Namjoon the fright of his life.
Amidst the crowd, you were hiding in plain sight. With your own fandom and performances, it was rare to find a moment of spare time where the both of you could just enjoy each other’s presence without the worry of the future. It has been four years since the both of you have come out to the public about your relationship. Saying that there were no hard times would be a big fat lie.
You got threats on threats, making you constantly fear for your life. But there was also a section of ARMY and your own fan base that gave a positive output. You had changed your energy from them and did your best for them. You were glad that over time, people also grew accustomed to the fact that the both of you were dating. Not to say that there were no haters but just… lesser than before.
When you found out that your precious boyfriend and his brothers were performing in Seoul, you couldn't resist the temptation of surprising him. Of course, you had told his members and talked to the company and their managers, ensuring that it was indeed okay for the surprise to happen. Arranging the preparation with the help of BTS’s management, it was still a challenge to keep your presence a secret from your boyfriend. The boys were not the best at keeping secrets from Joon and his sharp eyes just seemed to see everything. And your resistance was diminishing by each second when you see your boyfriend performing, hot as shit and cursing his way through.
But it was all part of the thrill.
As the concert reached its peak and the vocal line was performing ‘Dimple’, you slinked backstage with the rest of the dancers, heart thumping with anticipation. The crowd was in a frenzy and this was the perfect moment.
Joining the line of backup dancers as they got onto the stage, shrouded in a hoodie and a cap, the spotlight was completely focused on the vocal line, allowing you a few seconds to prepare.
As they got to the chorus, you stepped forward, voice steady and heart full of love and excitement. The vocal line continued singing with you, harmonising their voices with yours with ease. In the background, ARMY’S cheers increased in volume as the ARMY bombs went crazy, but all you could see was Namjoon’s surprised expression. It took a moment for the realisation to set in that you were actually here. The wide smile that adorned his lips made your heart explode.
All that waiting was worth it.
It was unforgettable.
You and the boys continued performing, having the best time teasing their leader during the remainder of the song. As you faced ARMY and waved your own ARMY bomb, you could feel Namjoon’s eyes on you the whole time. But he couldn’t seem to take them off of you as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause as you bowed to them. Your presence on the stage was unexpected and everybody was living off it - including him. It was the best surprise that he could have ever asked for.
When the song ended, Namjoon ran out from backstage, clumsily tripping over himself. As he stepped forward, his hands trembled uncontrollably when he held your own. The rest of the boys were rowdy behind the both of you, shouting and teasing, revelling in the romantic surprise unfolding before their eyes. But all of that turns into the background when Namjoon looks into your eyes. All he could see… was you.
The crowd quickly hushed as Namjoon spoke, his voice thick with emotion. “Y/N, what an announcement spoiler you are.” He laughed. “From the moment we met, from the days we spent together to the nights after every concert and phone call, I’ve always been thinking about it. You brought so much light into my life, to the rest of the boys, and to ARMY. I wanted to tell you when we decided to go on that date two days later but after this surprise, I can’t think of a better time to ask than now.”
The crowd went crazy and then went silent again.
Tears welled in your eyes as your heart rate rose to a dangerous level just thinking of the possibility of -
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to wake up every day with you by my side and go to sleep every night with you in my arms.” Namjoon kneeled down on one knee, an open ring box in one hand and a microphone in the other. “Will you marry me? Can you take this clumsy, absolutely hopeless kitchen man in?”
The stadium fell into absolute silence, the air tense with anticipation.
But you didn’t hesitate. There were so many things you wanted to say but the words caught in your throat. Your mind was moving miles per second but all you could say was, “Yes! Yes, oh my gosh Namjoon, yes!”
The stadium erupted in applause and maybe you were just high from the adrenaline, but you swore that even the ground was shaking. But it was because of the cheers from the crowd and the ecstatic reactions of the rest of the members that made the moment even more unforgettable. Namjoon slipped the ring onto your finger, sealing the promise of a lifetime together. Namjoon’s hand cupped the back of your neck and brought you in for a heated kiss.
You prepared a surprise for him but got a larger surprise instead. You knew that you were going to forever be teased on this by the boys but you couldn't bring yourself to care. It was you and Namjoon - against the world.
As the concert continued, the atmosphere was even more electric. The unexpected love and joy in the air was palpable and your surprise appearance and engagement became the highlight of the night. Namjoon’s confession of love in front of thousands of fans marked a clear, new beginning - not just for you as a couple but for BTS and their dedicated ARMY as well.
It was a night of music, love, and memories that none would forget.

Rather than go back and forth in the replies in my post where Tumblr places character limits, I think it’s best to give this it’s own post so OP and other people can more fully respond.
Question from @isaidnothankyou : what do you think could have been the reason Jimin didn't want or push for radioplay? I mean, he bears responsibility for all of it, right, but I really don't see why he would be opposed to hearing his song on the radio. Also that he wouldn't want more than nine days. Or further promotions after his #1. If he had the power to make these demands, why do you think he didn't?
*
What I think:
This is an odd question.
- What could’ve been the reason Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok (after a collaboration with J. Cole mind you), and other members didn’t push for radioplay? Why would they be opposed to hearing their solo songs on the radio? Heck, let’s not just stop at their solo songs, why didn’t they push for Black Swan to be played on radio? Or more recently, Take Two?
- Why did Jin think it’s a good idea to exclude PCs from his album? And only relented after BigHit staff insisted fans won’t like that choice? Wouldn’t he want more fan purchases for his work?
- Why would the company allow Taehyung to put out an album filled with sleepy bops when they should know pop songs perform better? Aren’t they hired to advise the members on what’s in their best interest? Why would HYBE sabotage Taehyung by allowing Layover to happen?
- Why did Hoseok ignore people within the company telling him to go for a physical album, even other BTS members telling him it was a bad idea, and he instead insisted on putting out Weverse albums only?
- Why did Yoongi decide to do an arena tour, when he said others within the company told him he could pull off a stadium tour? Wouldn’t he want more revenue and more touring acclaim for his tour?
- Why did Jimin plan to release FACE as a free mixtape in 2022 initially after being told Chapter 2 was the game plan ? Didn’t he think his work was worth the acclaim for an album?
- Why did Taehyung decide to promote his album mostly in Japan and not the US at all? Why would he practically ignore the largest music market and instead focus on Korea and Japan mostly? Didn’t he want the added exposure?
- Why did other members agree to Jungkook only performing at the World Cup? Wouldn’t they want that exposure? Why were they cheering him on so eagerly and hyping him up constantly? Don’t they realize that was an opportunity they should’ve seized for themselves?
*
All these questions represent a mismatch in expectations between what a subset of fans want, and what the members want and/or eventually do. It’s really that simple. Fans would say “of course Yoongi should do a stadium tour!”, “of course Jimin should target putting FACE out as an album and not a mixtape!”, but my guy didn’t have that expectation initially.
Like I said earlier, these are precisely the sort of questions that feel like a waste of time to me. I don’t ever spend my time trying to read anybody’s mind. Short of going on Weverse and seeking a response from Jimin directly, all you’ll get by asking these questions is various fans telling you their fan theories informed by their own preconceived notions, their insecurities and fears for their faves, and their anxieties over the decisions BTS members are making with the team they’ve been with for a decade. A team they’ve renewed exclusive contracts with, early, twice.
*
But you’re curious, so I’ll tell you what I think: I don’t know why Jimin didn’t push for radioplay etc, just as I don’t know why other members chose their own solo debut approaches, but I do know based on everything practically every member has said, they are very involved with the decisions related to their solo work, including packaging and distribution.
Solo stans have been using Jungkook as a sort of benchmark to measure other members against, but like I’ve said, that’s such a stupidly reductive approach it can only make sense in the mind of an akgae, people who by definition have the narrowest tunnel vision in all k-pop fandoms, and are inherently malicious in how the view other members of the team. The word akgae literally translates to ‘malicious fan’, because that’s what they are.
Jungkook has always wanted to be a big pop star, he’s had an exceptionally clear vision for what he wants in this regard, more than I’ve seen from any other member so far (save Yoongi), and I’m happy he’s getting his chance.
Recall, Jimin only decided to start working on his album in earnest in H1 2022. In his FACE ‘Thanks To’ he mentions how he had a sudden realization and went to the in-house producing team at BigHit with nothing but a desire to make the very personal body of work FACE became. He talks about how they helped him through a process he was clearly going through for the first time on his own. We can see that from the notes he made about Bang PD supporting him and the pictures of them together posted in late 2022 and early 2023. Given the personal nature of the project, the short time frame he had to put it all together, and the approach by other members to that point, I can see how Jimin would’ve thought to promote this like any other BTS album that focused on Korean promotions, just as other members who had released their albums at that point (I.e. J-Hope, Jin, and RM) had done.
Jimin started earnestly envisioning his solo album after BTS Vegas concerts in 2022. Jungkook meanwhile, since 2020, already knew he wanted a 10-track visual album with three title tracks all of which would have different choreographies and concepts. Jungkook had been actively writing songs since BTS’s debut album, and had sought opportunities to develop his solo music, to the point that for a long time, he was the only Vocal Line member who had his own studio. Something the members have said is given to them by the company if they request it.
Jungkook has had very clear, grand plans for a long time. Reading his Weverse interviews from 2020 till now, all he really talked about was getting chance to try a full solo venture, he’s had the time to fully flesh out in his head what he wants and how to get it, and in Chapter 2, we’re starting to see the results of goals he’s been explicit about for the last 4 years. And I’m happy to see it.
Solo stans see all of what Jungkook is getting, and want it for their faves. Which is fine. But when they see that’s not what their faves come out with, they cannot envision a reality in which their expectations are simply mismatched with what the members intended, or that there are other internal constraints within the company that influenced the eventual outcome. Hobi’s album rollout is such an excellent case in point for this. Akgaes instead default to raining hell on everyone and everything, abusing other members and actively looking to sabotage the other members’ roll-outs, and has been done by akgaes reporting playlists for all members and most recently, mass emailing KBS to prevent Jungkook from performing 3D in Korea.
Solo stans for some reason think Jungkook was jobless all year and only now just started working. Yeah he was doing hour-long lives several times a month, doing laundry, drinking, otherwise acting bored, but the guy has got a studio in his house and there are 24 hours in a day….
Anyway, like I’ve said many times before, BigHit’s piloted their targeted Western approach with Dynamite (2020), tried it with Life Goes On (2020) and saw it had limited success, honed it with Butter (2021) and PTD (2021), and didn’t bring that toolbox out again until Seven which was always going to be group’s 2023 attempt at what they’d done prior with the PET.
Chapter 2 was always meant to be a period of growth and trying out new things for the members. Solo stans are treating it like a competition and the only defining time for BTS members to make a mark in their solo careers, but no one, not one member, has indicated that this is how they see it at all. Perhaps now that the company has tried a variety of approaches with all seven members, they can modify their strategies going forward based on what each member has learned so far and now wants to attempt.
Jungkook always had something of a headstart given how clear he’s been in his solo goals for a hot minute now, but this doesn’t mean the world ends in 2023, or 2025, and the other members are planning to just roll over and abandon their own solo careers. Despite the whining from all solo factions acting like this is the case.
Jimin specifically appears to be solely focused on his next projects, working on himself based on lessons he’s learned during FACE, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to see what he does next.
All they’ve done is debut. So far, all this agonizing by akgaes and their sympathizers, is over one (1) debut by each member. All the members have said they’re learning from this experience and growing in their identity as solo artists and as members of BTS. ARMYs are determined to support them in whatever way that work looks like, not work from a position of anxiety and then try to interlope between them and their team. Jimin repeatedly asking to take them at their word, the members repeatedly asking to trust them while they figure things out in Chapter 2, Jimin and all the members expressing an eagerness to return in 2025 all reflect a consistency in how I’ve seen BTS operate for years.
It’s fine for fans to leave feedback if they think things can be done better or more efficiently, but ARMYs recognize the difference between doing that, and bringing that sense of toxic competition into the group, remaining in an akgae headspace that speaks over the members by refusing to value the team (a direct opposition to the members’ stated values), and constantly derides the members’ own choices.

GRACE TOUR DIARY: March 29th 2025 - Chicago
If the Big Hit team were honest, scheduling a pre-recorded performance for the iHeartRadio Awards right in the middle of a tour was a bit of a push especially when they had to do it in one day so Grace could get to Chicago to fulfil her priorities ahead of her concert. It started with a 4 am morning call to get her up and made up, to drive over to the Grammy Museum by 6 am to start rehearsals for two hours to the mix that had been generated the previous night.
A last minute put together for a last minute performance.
Of course, trying to put these things together in record time led to mistakes. Butter had been mixed with all the boys' voices, not a backing track for Grace to sing over so that had to be edited while Grace was rehearsing. Not only that, costumes for the dancers hadn’t arrived so another quick runaround of getting something to match the tour costume they had picked for this performance.
It was becoming a long day of issues.
But by 11 pm, Grace was in the car and on the way to LAX to catch her private plane to Chicago.
“That was a nightmare,” she sighed and laughed at the same time as the team piled onto the plane, with the dancers and staff in one area and her in the other with Sejin, her female manager and two bodyguards. “Let’s try not to do that again.”
“The rest of the team are in Chicago at least and started some rehearsals at United Center, so that’s something. There’s not much time missed but it just means tomorrow,” Sejin paused and glanced at his watch. “Sorry today, is going to be a bit of a push. There’s a couple of interviews and meeting the Chicago Mayor but you’ll be able to get to rehearsals as planned for 4 pm.”
“Great,” Grace laughed and ran a hand over her face. The flight was four hours long so she got the sleep she could get until they landed at O’Hare International Airport. The airport was quiet so it allowed for a quick walk-through to get to the car and a 20 minute drive meant she was at her hotel and in her room within record time.
A nap, still in her clothes, meant she was awake at 6am again to get a shower and some breakfast.
The hectic schedule over the following days meant everything was running back to back and there was a little time to start feeling homesick. She missed her parents, she missed her cat, she missed Seokjin, she missed the boys. She missed the smog in the sky over Seoul. But there was no time to think, no time to sit down and stare out the window and think.
Everyone demanded her time - from Sejin, to costume, to make up, to dancers, to cameras, to VCR, to the stadium, to the merch, to the company, to the person who was interviewing her, to the person she was going to meet at this location, to ARMY who were trying to see her outside of her concert.
It was the first time she sat in her suite at the Nobu Hotel and looked around the room, having been left alone for the first time since she arrived in Chicago and wondered what she was doing. Doing a solo tour, starting in Seoul to America then to Europe and then Asia and then back home when she didn’t have the amount of songs BTS or even Namjoon or Yoongi did.
She hated doubting herself. She hated the worry that set in over whether she was good enough and whether there was going to be even a crowd to come see her. She had seen the empty seats at other kpop groups concerts and worried that was going to happen to her, even though every stadium date had been sold out and extra dates added.
With a sigh, Grace kicked off her slippers and curled up on the couch with the news on in the background. Of course it was the usual report of fans lining up outside the United Center with police around for protection, reporters doing interviews and explaining how the stadium had been lit purple for her arrival and how this was a big thing.
For them it was a big thing.
For Grace it was starting to feel like a big mistake.
It was 12 noon in Seoul, so she knew Seokjin would be busy with his schedules but she sent him a message either way: ‘Miss you. Wish this tour would hurry up so I can see you all the time.’
He wouldn’t read it until he had finished when she would be waking up the next day to do her Chicago stop.
With a heavy sigh and feeling like an idiot, Grace turned off the TV and made her way to the bedroom. A bubble bath, some pampering, maybe some room service and a good movie would sort her out to get her head in the game for tomorrow.
23,000 ARMY were making their way through the United Center. Vendors were set up selling merchandise, food vendors were selling a mix of traditional Chicago food, British food and Korean food and BTS music was playing over the speakers.
Some were dressed in costumes inspired by music videos, some were wearing BT21 merch and others had various t-shirts including one which read ‘JK - Champagne Confetti later?’ in reference to the lyrics from his Golden album. There were teenagers, elders, men, women and everything in between making their way slowly to their seats.
There were excited whispers amongst the crowd over what BTS song Grace would be singing tonight as everyone had caught on quickly that there would be some kind of performance with a BTS song at each stop she was doing. While ARMY was clearly having an amazing time out in the stands, Sejin had come to a realisation.
“You’ve only got two dates in New York and that’s it for the American leg,” Sejin reminded her as he helped attach the mic pack to her costume and passed over her orange microphone.
“Really? I keep thinking I’ve got longer here but then I suppose we’ve been in America for nearly a couple of weeks now so it does feel like a long time,” she mused as the hair stylist brushed out her ponytail.
“And then we’ve got Seoul again and then we’re in Europe, which means we’re nearly at the end of April then,” he remarked.
It was going very quickly. It never felt like this when she was the guys, always feeling like the tour was dragging along because of the amount of travelling in between for a one night performance.
She could hear the voices of ARMY doing the fan chant as the music started to windle down, opening up to the tour’s VCR and big welcome to her concert. They were loud, not as loud as Los Angeles, but still loud.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the dancers turn up the volume on their in-ears which made her grin. These girls who were always with her on the opening part knew by now that the first song always got the loudest reaction from the crowd. She counted down under her breath as it got to the opening beats of 7 Rings and when she finally got lifted up to the stage, the whole arena was lit up with purple and orange ARMY bombs.
“Chicago!” Graced yelled, getting a roar of a response in return. “Welcome to the In My Head tour! Let’s see how loud you can be tonight!”
They certainly did their best.
She could see a lot of people in the stands, doing the same choreography she was doing and she could see just about everyone singing along while moving their ARMY bombs to the beat. Of course, there was the usual amount of cell phones in the air as they tried to record every moment of the tour and she could see how some people came prepared with powerbanks.
It seemed as well that they knew what was coming as they got nearer towards the end of the concert.
“Ah I really can’t surprise you well as I could when we were in Los Angeles. You already know what’s coming,” Grace grinned. A cheer went up in response as seven of her male dancers appeared on stage.
There was even more noise when two silver blocks were rolled onto the stage.
“I think that gave you the biggest clue, didn’t it?” Grace asked the audience while eight silver chairs appeared as well.
The opening notes of Dionysus began to play, much to the approval of the Chicago crowd. While many were expecting just the simple mix from the album, they hadn’t expected the same mix from the 2019 MMA to be played, with dance break included.
Grace sat in the middle chair, laughing breathlessly as the mic hung limply in her hand as the male dancers leaned forward to catch their breath. “Now, you weren’t expecting that were you?” she finally asked, laughing as she got down from the chair and the silver block.
“Chicago, we’re at the end now. So now it’s my time to say thank you to all those who have made it tonight. Thank you for supporting me, supporting the boys, for being the biggest fandom in the world. Seeing you all tonight, I can’t wait to see you all again.”
The noise from the crowd, from the fireworks, from the instrumental track of Dangerous Woman as it played out while she descended below the stage echoed around her as the team helped move towards the changing room.
“New York tomorrow,” Sejin called out over the voices of the staff as they began to pack away her microphone and in-ears, some reaching around to start undoing the zip of her Dangerous Woman costume.
“Day free tomorrow or is it mostly work?” Grace called back, holding onto one of the stylist's shoulders as another stylist pulled her feet out of the high heels.
“Half and half!”
However, the next morning, contingency plans were already in motion before Grace woke up. Chicago weather and New York weather had predicted snow and storms, prompting flights to be cancelled. And while Grace’s concert in New York wouldn’t start until April 2nd, they needed her at rehearsals and her commitments in New York such as Jimmy Fallon, the United Nations and the like.
When she woke up, by her shoulder being shaken, at 5am Grace knew something was wrong.
“We need to leave in about an hour - flights between Chicago and New York have been cancelled because of the weather. We’re driving instead.”
