BTS: 3 Reasons Why They Are About to Announce a New Album and 2 Reasons Why a Tour...

The Album

Reason 1 - They've been very vocal about it...

In interviews, they've mentioned music, particularly Korean music, when questioned about the recent English language songs.

Also, they basically told us in BTS In the Soop 2 (Ep. 4) that there is an album coming. Additionally, in the same episode they showed (silently of course, no spoilers here) JK and Suga working on a song for said album.

Reason 2 - They've never not released an album annually...

Since debuting in 2013, they have always released a Mini Album or a Studio Album (excluding repackaged) every year:

2013 - O!RUL8,2?

2014 - Dark & Wild / Skool Luv Affair

2015 - The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2

2016 - Wings

2017 - Love Yourself: Her

2018 - Love Yourself: Tear

2019 - Map of the Soul: Persona

2020 - Map of the Soul: 7 / BE

So are they really not going to release an album this year?

Reason 3 - They've just changed US distributors...

So last month they changed distributors, from Sony Music to Universal Music Group. UMG will want to benefit from said deal, and what better way to do than with a new album and lead single.

The Tour

Reason 1 - Everyone in K-Pop is about to go on tour...

Several big K-Pop groups have just announce world tour for 2022, which means things are opening up again in relation to tours. So it makes sense that BTS also goes on tour.

Reason 2 - They've basically been signalling it...

Permission to Dance MV, officially cancelling MTS Tour, the PTD on Stage (particularly in LA), the Jingle Ball, taking a break from Run BTS and the new BTS content... all roads lead to Seoul, Los Angeles, New York, London, France, Germany, etc...
